Trinity Air Heating and Cooling came out and replaced my office A/C unit due to failure of the old one. They were fast, efficient, and reasonably priced. I am very happy with the work they performed and my office is once again as cool as it should be. Thanks to John and his crew coming out and getting us taken care of. We had our AC system installed on a new house by Trinity air. After hearing from some people how their condensate line was blocked, I wanted to pour some Vinegar down the condensate line to ensure that I don't have blockage. Guess what - they never installed the cleanout opening. I chatted with the owner few weeks ago and he agreed that the cleanout should have been there. Since it was a small task, I left it as - schedule it with your other jobs in the area. I followed up again and he asks - what issue are we talking about. After I informed him of the issue, he says that it was the plumber who installed the condensate line. I used Gemini on the web to see who would be responsible and as per Gemini, "The HVAC contractor who installed or replaced the unit is responsible for installing a cleanout port or accessible T-joint. Most modern building codes require condensate lines to have a cleanout access point to clear blockages without cutting the pipe." While some people could say AI is not always right, my personal intuition is that the AI is correct in this case. Even if the plumber did some part of the work (e.g. installing the drain pipe through the house framing), at the end of the day, the HVAC contractor needs to make sure that the overall system is installed correctly. If not correct, then he needed to flag it to the general contractor for the house build. The reason we hire professional people is because it is their job to make sure that everything is done properly and if it was not done properly, be a professional - own up to the mistake and rectify the issue without charging additional fee for their mistake. So if you agree with my thinking, then you know that you dealing with a company that is not professional. If you don't agree with my thinking, keep hiring these people - you will pay for it later :-). read more

Absolutely the best around. Our job turned from a standard replacement to a job with limited attic space and a very difficult install. There were a few challenges along the way, but they came through and got it done for us in tough conditions. We have our new air conditioner installed just in time for the inevitable heat wave that is coming. You can trust John Tawney and his team for fair pricing, excellent service and a great job. read more

Our AC went out three weeks ago and we've had to go back and forth with our home warranty company and different companies to get second opinions and make sure the work that needs to be done is correct since the cost is pretty high. Since it had already been two weeks into our AC being broken at this point, our home warranty company sent out a request for bid that was a rush. Trinity bid on the rush request and came out the next day to inspect. The tech looked at everything and agreed with the other companies on what was wrong. At this point, all we needed from Trinity was to submit the work order information to our home warranty company so the approval process could start and we could finally start getting the work done. By Monday at about 10:00 am the home warranty company said they hadn't received the work order, so I called Trinity. The owner, John, said they were really busy and were trying to get to it. I reminded him that this was a rush and his response didn't change. By Tuesday at noon I hadn't seen the report still so I called again to ask about the status. He said he would hopefully get to it by the end of the day. I reminded him again that this was a rush request and he said that they're working on a lot of ACs and everyone has to be treated the same, so he'll get to us when he can. I let him know that my issue was that we can't even start the approval process with the home warranty company until he submits his report. I also told him we'd had four other companies come out and no one else had taken this long to submit a report. Literally every other company submitted their reports within 12 hours. He then said "maybe you should call one of those companies to do the work then." I let him know we would. Unbelievably bad customer service. He actively bid for this rush request and then wouldn't make the time to actually do what needed to be done in any sort of rush. If he hadn't bid for it, we wouldn't have waited 4 days to get assigned to another company while we live in a 90 degree house. The next company we were assigned to came out and had the report done in 26 hours. Trinity is the only company who couldn't submit a report timely. read more

Made a home warranty call and Trinity Heat and cooling was dispatched. Called to impress on Trinity we were freezing and the tech was out within 3 hours. My wife is undergoing chemo and can't tolerate cold temps. Found the problem which created considerable condensation from inside the unit and could cause ceiling damage if the heater kept running. He said there was no fix but to replace the unit. Tech was very honest, showed us photos, and said he could restart if we wanted but again warned it could cause damage. We opted to go get a couple space heaters and leave the unit off. Talked to Dave the next day and got an update on the process of getting the warranty company to authorize and said he would expedite. Very impressed with the service and would highly recommend. read more

Terrible customer service the home warranty uses. They left my heater all crappy making a terrible lound noise. The home warranty recall my claim to get them to come back and they told me too busy to get to me. Just found out that if it's over 30 days and they don't take care of you the home warranty let's them off of their responsibility. DO NOT USE THEM. If your don't have a choice call the home warranty and make them hold them accountable. Especially if you have HWA. read more

First of all this company was called out to our house 3 TIMES to fix my heater, I have frozen for 2 months waiting for them to come out again... they finally sent the owner John out to our house and he was EXTREMELY rude and confrontational. He went OFF on my husband and told him "Fu$& you bit&$" after my husband called him out for his attitude and told him that it wasn't our fault that his workers don't know how to fix a heater the FIRST time. This man works for a home warranty company and is seriously verbally abusive and he did ALL of this in front of our 5 year old daughter! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. read more

Honest and caring guy. John came out very quickly assess the problem and gave us an amazing price for a good product. He called multiple times to make sure everything was good and I was very clear on what he was doing and what it would cost. Trinity Heating and Air is one of the few good companies still around. read more

This company is surviving by misleading the customers. John came to my home to fix the heating system which is not going beyond 68 degrees. He told me there was some mother board problem which he is going to replace later(as he has to order the part). He requested us not to use the system till he fixes the issues(winter time). He didn't arrived on the date he mentioned & when I called him, he told me that mother board is not covered by warranty company and hence he didn't come.He was not bothered about updating me :). Now he started doing the business with me asking me to pay $800 for fixing the issue and recommending me to install new system. And when I contacted home warranty they sent me a new contractor who fixed the issue. read more

My air conditioner at my investment property was acting up during our last heat wave. The unit (a through the wall style room unit) was tripping the breaker during the high heat. It seemed to happen only during the hot temperatures. I used my home warranty to hopefully have some of the expenses covered. The unit is 15 years old, so I suspected it had out lived its life and needed to be replaced. My home warranty company assigned Trinity. They called to schedule the appointment and I explained the problem to the person over the phone. I asked that they be prepared to change the unit the same day that they would come out to diagnose the problem, even if that meant I had to pay out of pocket (and hopefully get reimbursed later). I didn't want to have to take another day off of work to go up there (I live over an hour away and of course Trinity doesn't work weekends). They said that since the home warranty would want the unit repaired before they would cover a replacement, they would have to come out a different day to replace it if the repair didn't work. They then scheduled a appointment about 10 days out. Gave me a window between 11-3 to be there. I reiterated that the problem would only happen if the temperature out side was high, over 90, and it would be best to come at the hotter part of the day. Day rolls around for them to come out. The tech calls me at about 845 and says he'll be there in an hour... I explain I'm just leaving my house and will be there as soon as I can. He tells me to put a rush on it (I assume he has other appointments to get to). We meet up and I show him the unit. He says that the units don't get repaired and it's a training issue that the receptionist shouldn't have told me that it would be repaired. They only replace them, but he can't do it that day..... because it wasn't scheduled. He evaluated the unit, of course the problem isn't happening because it's 10am and 75 degrees outside. He says that the note didn't say to come during the heat of the day.... he then reads the service note, which said the problem will only occur when it's hot out. He says that since he doesn't see the problem happening, and he came too early in the day, he will write it up and include what I saw, so that it will get covered by the home warranty. I would have to buy the unit but he would install it for me. No problem, I can make that work. 2 and a half weeks later (and 5 phone calls requesting the service report), they provided the report that said there was no issue and the unit worked fine.... home warranty won't cover any of the replacement. The unit still trips the breaker.... Trinity, you owe me the $75 service fee and a vacation day back. read more

My heating unit went on the fritz on a Wednesday. I spoke with John and he had me set up for repairs on Thursday. He actually came 2 hours early. I wAs glad. He said it is never good when a homeowner answers the door inn a down jacket. John went to work immediately. He was worried that he would be out of town for the weekend but would order the part and find someone to do the repairs. John identified the problem and was able to repair my heater. John is so professional. This is not the first to time John has helped me with my heating and air conditioning issues. He is a godsend. I highly recommend him and his team. Thank you. read more

Quick and prompt service. Good customer service as well. I'd recommend them and will use them for future use if needed.

The service from Trinity was more than we expected. John Tawney was friendly and knowledgeable. He also followed up with his arrival time. John did not try to up sell us on supposed problems like some of the other local HVAC companies. We would absolutely have them for annual check ups and repairs. Plus they processed the paperwork for the City of Roseville rebate program. read more

I had John Tawney come to my home on behalf of my home warranty. John inspected my furnace and attic and found major ducting issues. He said the entire attic needed to be re-ducted. He also said the attic was very tight. He came to my home on a Friday and told me and my family he would have office time on Monday and thats when he would get the paperwork started. Monday came and we heard nothing, then Friday came and we still heard nothing. While waiting that entire week I followed up with our warranty, and our warranty followed up with Trinity and still we heard nothing back. I took it upon myself to call Trinity directly and even after speaking with them there was no update on my service status. The only answer the home warranty and I could get from them were multiple false promises on a call back. After waiting over a week, my heater stopped working altogether so I called Trinity back to inform them our house was freezing and we needed something done. I even reminded them on how I had a freezing 1 year old at home and still I heard nothing back from them. John himself seen I had a little one at home, still my case wasn't of importance to him. My home warranty ended up transferring my case to another company after waiting 2 weeks for them. The worst part of all is that he never even returned any phone calls and chose to ignore my case because he seen it as hard work. Trinity Heating and Cooling, you should know that with your line of work, there are going to be easy jobs, and some harder than others, its not fair to pick and choose which jobs are convenient for you. This company is immoral. I would think twice about investing any service call money on a company with no integrity. read more

I never leave reviews but this company truly goes above and beyond - Honest, trustworthy and caring. I had several bids by lager companies on a new air and heating system, the used car salesman approach, trying to upsell everything with very aggressive sales tactics. Trinity is by far the best HVAC company in the area, absolutely fantastic customer service, John is extremely knowledgeable and honest! Jason and crew fitted my new system in one day, house is running MUCH cooler during these hot Rocklin days. I now keep the temp at a cozy 72 degrees in the evening (both zones) The new system cools quicker and is saving me an average of $100 per month on PG&E! Honestly don't look anywhere else for any of your HVAC needs, this company is truly 5 stars. And the follow up service is wonderful! read more

I initially went through Bells Brothers for a leak where my heater was. They were going to charge me $2089 for work I didn't need to get done and the representative who came into my home made it sound like I needed a new unit or 6 hours of work. I was charged 79.99 for them to come out to improperly diagnose my issues. I'm selling my home I felt it was the only choice I had. I agreed to go with them until getting a second opinion from John. I was charged $700 and he did everything opposite other than the drip pan which bells brothers was going to charge 1700.00 for. The receipt showed me an itemized break down of all the parts on my receipt. He was an honest Christian man. He was efficient and returned my calls promptly. What a bummer others had bad experiences. So far my problem appears to be solved. read more

Trinity showed up on time as scheduled and finished the job within the time window they provided. Replaced our coil and got our unit all fixed up again at a fair price. They also found that some of the plumbing on the AC unit was not correct from the builder and fixed that for me as well. Highly recommended that you give Trinity a call if you are having trouble with your AC. read more

Very professional. Definitely will have this company service our air conditioner in the future.

I have been very happy with the work done by John and Trinity Heating and Cooling. John came out on short notice and inspected our A/C system that wasn't working properly. The blower motor went out on my furnace. I called Sierra because they were the company that installed the furnace. Their tech gave me an initial quote of $760 to replace the motor and a relay, then after not hearing from him for 2 days, i called and was quoted an increased price of $960. I decided to get some more quotes. I called Bonney, and their tech quoted me $1200, then after calling his boss, reduced the cost a few hundred. I should mention this was for a blower motor, fan blades and capacitor. He said the relay was fine. My gardener gave me the number for Trinity. John was in the neighborhood, so he came right over. He quoted me $600. Today, after some more tests, John replaced the relay and the system works just fine. Final cost $250. I recognize that the larger companies have higher overhead, but they don't give a labor rate, just a total job cost. I looked up cost for parts and it was around $400 retail. That means Bonney would receive approx $800 for a job that I know takes about 30 minutes (I looked it up on You Tube). And they would most likely replaced parts that did not need replacing. I highly recommend Trinity Heating and Cooling for your air conditioning service. read more

Paid them $75 to patch a duct. Other companies said it should cost no more than $40, but I needed the job done soon. The trinity guy probably spent no more than 15 minutes working. When I checked his work the next day I noticed he hadn't actually patched the entire rip on one side. I called and asked him to come back to finish the job. He said he would call back in a couple days when he knew his schedule. He never did. read more

John (owner of Trinity heating and cooling) came out to do an A/C service at my home for $60. He said everything looked good except I should replace the Capacitor. I said go ahead. When he presented the bill to me it was $60 for the service and $150 for the capacitor. I paid it with no questions. After he left I got on u-tube to see how to change a capacitor. It is shaped like a tin can with 3 push on wire connecters on the top that are labeled. I could have done it myself in 60 seconds. He didn't even put the metal strap that holds it in place back on. Just left it in the box with the top off. So next I called Lennox and gave them the part no. and asked how much for a new capacitor? He said $15. That is $135 labor John charged me. He had the part on the truck and he was already charging me for the service call. I wouldn't mind paying a reasonable markup on the part. I called John and asked how he could justify such an enormous markup? He said he has two trucks on the road which is a lot of overhead. My response was "How is that my problem? I feel taken advantage of." He just said I'm sorry you feel that way but that's the way it is. His attitude was very rude for a business owner. I hope this review helps someone. read more

We called Trinity Heating & Cooling after having our AC out since last summer! Although I appreciated our low PG&E bill, my family was ready to move out, LOL Summers can get really hot here in Rocklin, When we called Trinity Heating & Air we didn't just get some hired help who had no true knowledge or expertise, we got the OWNER himself! John Tawney, was so great and had our unit working again within just a few hours. Initially I think I was a little scared that we might need a whole new unit and that the repairs would cost us ALOT of money but to our surprise John fixed our unit without having to replace it. AND he was very very very reasonable. I highly recommend Trinity Heating & Cooling and they will be the ONLY company I would ever use again! Instead of calling a company that is overpriced, and sends different reps out; some good, some bad, (but never the actual owner) why not use a company where the owner himself responds to your needs! That's the kind of business me and my family choose to support. A local business with true moral and ethical values. I highly recommend Trinity Heating & Cooling for ALL your heating and cooling needs. read more
