Trinity Factors is by far the worst letting agent I have ever come across and I have lived in several locations in Scotland (Glasgow, Dundee and now Edinburgh) and in Australia (Brisbane, Sydney and the Gold Coast). When we moved in there was no phone line even though we noticed this and requested that there be one. This took them months to install, even then it was up to us to contact BT and arrange this. The money to pay for this also had to come out of our accounts before they could refund us.
Secondly, and more importantly, our heating was broken over summer and on all the time when we didn't need it to be. They sent out electricians and plumbers that they contracted out but over months, none of them could figure out the problem. Eventually one of the more experiences electricians figured it out that when the hot water was on the heating was automatically turned on as it had to go through these pipes to heat up the flat. Our bill as a result of this was extortionate and after we complained to Trinity Factors about this they said they would try to speak to the landlord to see if he would pay part. (I was confused by this as I thought that as the letting agent they would have responsibility over this matter). However, after weeks of chasing TF up over this they got back to us saying they couldn't get in touch with the landlord as he was abroad and they didn't want to spend their money on phoning him! I requested once again that they contact him via email or skype him if they were worried about the money. They then got back to me the next week saying that they had spoken to a more senior member of their team and decided not to contact the landlord as the bill was reasonable for the period of time it covered. It was summer, the heating was not needed.
I would strongly advise anyone considering Trinity Factors to look elsewhere. If I could give them no stars I would. read more
