Poor Customer Service & Scheduling Issues Trinity Dental has serious issues with customer service and communication. My most recent appointment was scheduled for 11:00 AM. I arrived at 10:50 AM, only to be told at 11:45 AM that I would need to reschedule because they were short-staffed. No phone call, no text, no advance notice--just nearly an hour of waiting to be told they couldn't see me. I highly recommend going somewhere else if you value your time. This was actually my second visit, and unfortunately my second bad experience. I decided to give them another chance after the first visit had similar problems. During that first appointment, I was taken back for a cleaning and exam, then left sitting in the dental chair for over an hour with no communication or updates. I was later told there was an emergency. Two visits with the same issues shows this isn't a one-time situation, but a pattern. Poor communication, poor scheduling, and lack of respect for patients' time. read more

The dentist is amazing and the staff but the billing department is horrible. They will make you pay for procedures that are completely covered by insurance "just in case" they don't pay. Even after I called the insurance to verify coverage and explained it to them that it is covered no matter what codes are billed. I went ahead and paid it because my kid needed it done and they "guaranteed" if the insurance ends up paying, they will issue a refund. Almost 2 months go by and I checked the insurance to see if they paid. The payment was made to the dentist a months ago. I had to call them and request a refund and was told it takes 7-10 days. Waited 10 day and nothing. Called back and now it's 7-15 BUSINESS DAYS! I do not understand why once the payment was made the refund was not submitted. I know how billing works and once the payment was posted, there are collectors that review accounts for overages and under payment. I know if the insurance came back and didn't pay for anything that day and I owed them money, I would have received a call the next day wanting their money. Horrible management and billing. No payment should take over 3 weeks to process, especially since credit card information was given to apply the refund. I could understand if you have to process a check but credit card payments do not take that long. If you are paying out of pocket, by all means the Dentist is amazing. If you have insurance coverage, be prepared to pay out of pocket if they "think" it may not be paid by insurance. Instead of verifying insurance and having someone verify the CDT code for coverage. My kid has been going there for years now and is getting braces from the orthodontist. I have also had the orthodontist overcharge me for my monthly payment and when I called about it the billing lady refused to talk to me and made the front desk girl tell me "she applied the overcharged amount to next months payment. Now next month's payment I will only owe $15." Wouldn't even talk to me and give me an option to get my money refunded or anything. Refused to talk to me and just applied it to the next month's payment. Billing department is HORRIBLE!!! If you have insurance GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! Definitely go somewhere else for orthodontist as well. They require you to sign a contract the makes you have auto payments set up (not a problem) but will overcharge you and just say oops well next months payment is taken care of now. read more

I'll say the pros before the cons pros: place looks nice actually take that back there was multiple bugs flying around me while I filled paper work in the BACK where people get there teeth cleaned with these tools and they where just sitting on the equipment... okay cons: 1. I have never felt forced to sign a waiver of refusal before but wow the amount convincing and pressure given was incredible when they asked me also are rhetorical questions like "do you know your teeth will rot and you will lose bone when you're older" are those necessary and the "are you okay with that" like come on what do you think but how is it possible that I'm gonna pay so much money for a treatment they offer when I have insurance. That was just one con 2. Dr himself if you even want to call him that didn't even bother telling me what I had he just let his assistant tell me and when the other ladies came and asked me another rhetorical question "so did the Dr not tell you what would happen if you don't get the treatment" ummm no his assistant told me. 3. The PASSIVE AGGRESSIVENESS is real and there's a lot there. IF YOU DONT WANT TO READ ALL THAT 1. Disgusting bugs everywhere 2. Rude people and Dr but mainly employees 3. STOP AND READ! When I say this has been the best dentist I EVER been to I mean it!!!!! I have always had a fear of the dentist because they are always on me, extremely rude and don't comfort me as a patient! HOWEVER, this dentist and staff checked every box off my checklist! From the moment, I walked in the receptionist was so friendly and kind. She explained everything in detail and even introduced me to some payment plan that might be helping to some people. The dental assistants made sure I knew what exactly they would be doing and not to mention they have an amazing playlist of music playing while your in the chair! The dentist had such a cool and calming vibe. He joked with me and gave me so much reassurance knowing I was scared. The dentist seemed good, but the communication on the plan of care put my health at risk. I have cardiac and severe gastrointestinal issues. Each procedure puts me at risk. I have to discontinue blood thinners for the procedure and get cardiac issues. I also have hematology issues and need clearance. The plan was supposed to be extraction of two teeth with bone graft and a partial. The insurance did not cover all of it. I had previously discussed that I was on a fixed income and need to know how much insurance covered. I was called the day of the procedure to be notified that I would owe 210 dollars but they would not do bone craft which would result in a possible poor fit and poor healing but they had planned do so that without telling me. If they did the bone graft, it would cost me 800 dollars. I decided to cancel, and I will be getting a second opinion. Please make sure you ask questions and stay informed if you have life threatening health issues. read more

Absolutely the worst!!! My daughter is still recovering... where do I begin? My daughter is 15 and this is our first time ever getting a Medicaid for the kids. This place was provided when I called our insurance directly. We had an appointment and they determined that a lot of work needed to be done. What was astonishing to me - that Dr Mina Gendy jumped on all the fillings - all 13!!! He numbed her upper and lower and right and left side ! Can you imagine to work on 13 fillings at ones in 1 visit ??? My daughter left crying - they stretched her mouth open for way way way too long - all because they were so greedy to get all the work done at ones (in case we don't come back). I feel so awful that I allowed this madness !!! Get this - they didn't even file any of the fillings. They were so extremely rough. My daughter hated it so much. We had to go to another dentist to have all the fillings to be smoothed out. When the new dentist looked at the work that was done by dr Mina Gendy - he was in shock! He said that 50% of the fillings are a joke. They didn't even clean the cavities - they just put the filling material on top of the cavity. It was absolutely rediculous! I am very upset. I used to think trinity dental was the best place until I saw there orthodontist part and they pressured me to sign and get things going and after telling them I wasn't sure if I could afford it they still got me to sign it. Now after I decided to sign it and not go thru with the work they charged my account and caused my account to be overdrawn and they told me they would give me the money back now I am being told there is something wrong with there software to where they can't get it to work.. read more

I've been to this location three times. Five stars for the staff and prices. They make dental care affordable if you don't have insurance as I don't. And the staff have always been friendly and nice. One star for their horrid scheduling. I don't know if they overbook or take walk-ins when they shouldn't, but every time I came I had to wait at least an hour beyond my appointment time. The second time I came I had to reschedule because they were so far behind I was going to miss an appointment with my orthodontist since I was coordinating both appointments to get my wires removed and replaced to get a better cleaning. So I decided to go to their Magnolia location near my home. Their scheduling is no better! I am standing outside the building, waiting for my Uber, having wasted another hour of my life NOT seeing another dentist at another Trinity Dental. I will have to find a new dentist. Patients' time counts too and it's disrespectful to keep them waiting endlessly without explanation or apology. read more

Office itself is okay. Once we were taken back by an extremely unfriendly dental assistant (?) the experience only got worse. My son is 6 and intimidated by the dentist & woman that took his xrays was being so rude and short with him I almost grabbed our things and walked out. Her attitude was TERRIBLE. I WISH I could give negative stars! This place is terrible!! I am new to the USA and thought this was just the norm. However since seeing another dentist I am struck at how bad this place and Dr Gendry are! So many issues I don't know where to start!? Long wait times....... Went in for a cleaning was told I needed 5 fillings! This despite the fact I had not had any pain in decades! I went along with the fillings (should have gotten a second opinion) and was told at the next appt that I now needed root canal. Extortion much?? During that (now 4th appt) Dr Gendry had to stop and said he could not complete and I needed to see an Specialist. Every appt was painful and left me in pain often for days and weeks after. When I finally left I asked for all my files and xrays to be emailed to me and I am still waiting......::: read more

They billed my insurance and have not provided a bill statement that I requested. I have contact them and was told that there corporate office would contact me in a day or 2 but it's been a week later now. Have not heard anything at this point I'm having to work with my insurance and file a complain with the state board. I have half shaved teeth and pain on my left of my mouth where they did not complete the work and what ever was done was was poorly done. At this point it look like I'm going to have to contact and attorney to file a malpractice suit to resolve this. Do not recommend this place worse experience of my life. read more

Where do I start?! The staff at Trinity Dental Tomball treat their patients with respect and compassion. From the moment you walk in the door (or over the phone) you will be treated with dignity and feel an overall sense of calmness that radiates from this office. The Office Manager, Ms Patti, takes customer care to unprecedented levels! She is thoughtful, caring, and comforting always wearing a smile. Dr. Mina is the best!! He is patient, gentle and has a calming effect on his patients. I normally clinch my hands when sitting in the chair and feel anxious, expecting pain. I did not feel that way at all with Dr. Mina. It's not something he says or does, it's just natural. He and Denise are HILARIOUS! I actually said, "I've never laughed so hard and actually enjoyed a visit to the dentist." HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE?! No joke people, he had me laughing during a root canal, who else can do that...no one I know. I have definitely found my new dentist! Ms Denise, his nurse, is so very sweet!! She is very knowledgeable and knows what she is talking about. She saw I was having some confusion trying to understand everything so she took me aside and thoroughly explained what the doctor said but from a different perspective. She was patient with my questions and very detailed with her explanations. Over priced and half the service. On my first appointment with them I scheduled a cleaning, all they did was look in my mouth and then hand me a quote for $22,000 yeah that's right thousands! Then they asked me if I wanted to proceed with the procedure today, ummm no! That quote was including insurance btw folks! Trapped by the pains of insurance HMO schemes and end of the year cut offs I unfortunately scheduled just a cleaning with them. This was a periodontal cleaning, i.e. Deep scrubbing. The cleaning went really fast about 30 mins all in all. However there were some major steps missed. Like they didn't floss my teeth, that isn't clean. They didn't offer me safety protection which made question other standard dental proceedings like cleaning equipment and so on. They didn't review my oral health with me. They didn't offer a floride rinse either. All in all the whole procedure felt like a back end alley deal but at the end even though I had insurance I had to pay an arm and a leg. Take my advise, go somewhere else. read more

Recently I visited this office as a new patient. Beautiful office. The staff is very nice and pleasant. I arrived at my 3:30 appointment at 2:30pm, in case I needed to fill out several forms and to brush my teeth again of course! I was delighted the office is very technology forward and had tablets in replace of paper work. I was not called back until 4:05 for my visit, several xrays were taken before having me sit in the exam chair for 30 minutes to have the dentist swiftly come in examine and call out my areas of concern, tell me I need to see an endontist asap in order to save 2 of my teeth. He asked advised me to call if I had further questions and walked out! I had top ask the assistant if I could have Rx for antibiotic and pain meds. I was highly disappointed and felt mislead by the office claims to practice endo, ortho and general denistry. Not to mention the ladies at the front desk asked if the could email me my treatment plan. Of which I had to call and remind them to do over the next 2 days. I completed the root canal they requested 3 days after my visit which requires me to see them again for crown. I called the office during business hours to schedule and was told by call center that office closed early due to Dr Trinh leaving for an emergency. So I'm forced to wait the weekend before a holiday week to see if they can fit me for my crown. I'm pissed! read more

Great office! Office is clean, has a little drink station. Front desk staff is very friendly, dental assistants make you comfortable while you wait for dentist. My cleaning was great and I will be going back for additional work. Only reason I gave 4 stars is because I did have to wait quite a bit even-though I had an appointment, but I realized why. The staff doesn't rush you, dentist answers all your questions. My insurance doesn't cover much, but the staff gave me several options; which was great, I didn't feel pressured to choose a treatment immediately. read more

Where do I begin! Nobody looks forward to a root canal but I can say after my visit here I would definitely go back for another one! The staff was genuinely kind and my dentist and his assistant had me in stitches! But not in a bad way kind of stitches, we laughed and enjoyed humor the entire visit even though I could barely talk from the Novocaine! They made me feel extremely comfortable and I feel they did a fantastic job! It was my second visit there and I will definitely continue to use Trinity Dental as my primary dentist! They got me fairly quickly in the room in the back, other than there x-ray machine was acting up, everything went very smoothly . The dentist did an awesome job on my tooth I went there with a tooth ache and come to find out that my tooth was split in half, so the dentist said it needed to be pulled and a bone graph needed to be done. He did a great job of numbing the area because I didn't feel anything, it's the next day and I feel great, oh and I didn't leave the office with a bunch of gauze stuffed in my mouth, no gauze and no blood. I got a Rx for antibiotic and Ibuprofen, started both as soon as I got home before the numbing wore off. The entire staff was wonderful. My daughter is very nervous at the dentist and they did a everything to keep her calm and comfortable.

I recently took my daughter to be assessed for worsening cavities that were found back in November. We were only able to come now due to money and time constraints and when we get there they are not even assessing her for the main reason we came and they were just going to send us on our way. So I reminded them why we here, my daughter in terrified, and the longer everything took the worse she became. How they talked to her could have been very different and more geared for children her age. That being said if you have a child that is easily frightened or emotional don't take them hear you will be wasting your time. read more

horrible job! the dentist extracted 2 teeth then the assistant made a temporary bridge, i had to go back three times to smooth it because i was cutting my tongue. the food got under my gum and all that area goy infected. another dentist removed the 7 stitches to drain the pus and clean it. i received high dosages of antibiotics. to heal my jaw and gum, the new dentist had to leave my gum open, so the gums healed opened. do not go there if you want to save money and pain. read more

I made an appointment here based on decent reviews.....but I left the appt feeling disappointed and that I could have had a better experience elsewhere. I won't go here again. As I was still sitting in the dental chair, I asked the hygienist if I could speak to the dentist about one more thing (after having seen him already for ~10 min). I could hear them talking in the next room and then was told that he doesn't have any time to speak to me again. I've been waiting for a while to see a dentist about a few specific things, and am disappointed to be told that he doesn't have time to speak to me about the rest of my concerns....as I'm still sitting in a dental chair, in his office. I would say that this place is definitely nothing special.....they did clean my teeth, but then again, any dental office can clean teeth. I will not choose to go here again and I'll try my luck elsewhere....I probably won't leave feeling upset and like I need to go back to another dentist to finish the job. read more

My first time here for a routine check up.. And the experience was awesome!! I'm always afraid of drowning in the water while getting my teeth cleaned but she did such a great job at making sure that did not happen. Dr. Trinh was very friendly and made sure while he was filling my cavities, I was not in any pain. I was going to another dentist before and I had told him an area of a tooth was very sensitive but he didn't find anything.. Dr. Trinh found that area right after I told him and it turned out to be a very big cavity!! Thank goodness. AND he didn't have to numb me up- a super plus!!! Parking is spacious and there are so many things around the area. I would definitely come back for my regular dental check up. read more

They had good customer service so I didn't feel nervous at all. Dentist was calm & patient & even gave numbing stuff when I needed it. They showed models of teeth and went over what all the terms mean, answered all my questions, explained all the pricing so I know what my savings goal is, and let me know what my next steps were.
