I came to Trinity at one of the hardest times in my life. I felt lost, broken, and tired of pretending I was okay. I didn't know exactly what I needed I just knew I couldn't keep living the way I was. I wanted to find peace inside myself again, to understand my pain instead of running from it, and to learn how to truly live. The staff at Trinity made me feel comfortable in a way I hadn't felt in a long time. They didn't just treat my symptoms they cared about me. Their warmth, patience, and compassion gave me the safety to open up and start facing the things I had buried for years. Every single person there helped me feel like I wasn't alone in my journey... The trauma work changed everything for me. It helped me finally release so much of the pain I'd been carrying. DBT gave me tools to calm my mind and regulate my emotions when everything felt too heavy. And the group sessions showed me that healing happens in connection that we're not meant to do this alone. When I first arrived, I was numb and afraid. Now, I feel alive again. I still have work to do, but I have hope and that's something I hadn't felt in a long time. I've learned to love parts of myself I used to hate. I've learned that healing isn't easy, but it's possible. And that feels like a miracle. If your hesitant or scared to get treatment don't be walking through those doors was the best decision I've ever made for myself. Trinity isn't just a program it's a place of healing, understanding, and love. If you're hesitant, just know that you deserve help, and you deserve to feel better. You are not broken beyond repair. Im taking with me the belief that I am worthy, worthy of love, healing, and a peaceful life. I'll carry the strength I found here and the reminder that even on the hard days, I'm not the person I used to be. I spent my internship at Trinity Behavioral Health from September 2024 to July 2025, and I cannot recommend this site enough to fellow students. Coming from National University, I had to find my own placement and cold-emailed dozens of locations. Trinity was one of the few that responded, and from the first interview, I knew it was the right fit. Meeting with Fernanda for the first time immediately put my social anxiety at ease; her warmth and kindness are reflective of the entire culture at TBH. The staff is incredibly collaborative and welcoming. My clinical supervisor was fantastic; she maintained a true open-door policy, making herself available for consultations and questions even outside of standard office hours. Unlike many of my peers in my internship class who struggled to get hours or spent their time shadowing and doing paperwork, my experience was hands-on and immersive. They provided online DBT modality training right away and included me in daily huddles. I moved from shadowing to co-facilitating, and eventually to running my own groups(something I previously dreaded due to anxiety). The support from the SUD counselor: Alfredo, and therapists: Maria and Jon, was exceptional, and Wendy was an amazing mentor for couples counseling and group therapy. I was treated like a member of the team from day one. This practicum led to significant personal growth and life changes for me, and I owe much of that to the environment at TBH. It was an honor to work with their clients; there is a "personalness" to their clinical approach that is hard to put into words but beautiful to witness. I'm so grateful for the professional and personal growth I experienced here (and for all the great books I was encouraged to read along the way!). I came to Trinity Behavioral Health because my life had gotten to a point where I needed help with my mental health. I was struggling with a substance abuse disorder and all of my personal relationships, especially my romantic relationship felt like they had fallen apart. I knew as soon as I spoke to Jessica on the phone to complete the pre intake that this place was different from the others I had reached out to. My therapist Jon helped me understand my trauma better. My couples therapist Wendy gave my partner and I a brand new hope for our relationship. My substance abuse counselor Alfredo was always finding a way to relate to me and my peers with a genuine, authentic perspective. The group psychotherapy sessions always went deep and I got to know myself better through the stories my peers would tell. I can say that I'm leaving this place with a new outlook. Mentally, emotionally and physically I feel strong in a way I didn't know I ever could. I don't fear the world like I used to. I always told myself I would never come to treatment, no matter how bad this addiction got. I've always thought I can handle anything myself. But if you're like minded, I would suggest that you just give yourself the benefit of asking for help. It can never hurt, and the staff here actually DO care. I will remember the skills I've learned, the cool places they took us to see, the friends I made and the reasons I love my life again. I have known the owners (Edgar & Vanessa) for about 8-9 years now, I am currently sober for over a year. When i first came into Trinity, it was before it was called "Trinity" and I have to say that it's easily the best treatment center I've been in. I started trying to get sober at about 14, and was a heroin/meth/fentanyl addict, I was an IV drug user. I am a Felon. Time after time I got into treatment and left to go back to using, and time after time this program and staff would take me back in and help me evaluate what went wrong and how I could of prevented the relapse. It took a really long period of time for me to get to where I am today, but I am now so much happier than I ever though was possible. They helped me with various types of individualized therapy, as well as learning social skills and how to adapt to society. They helped me work through finding a job. Now, I have an amazing career, a wonderful Fiancé, my family and I have never been closer, I no longer sleep on the side of the street, I'm no longer starving and eating from trash cans, and I know for a fact that without this place I would not be here, I would still be using or be dead. I found myself in a drug infused mental breakdown, which lead me to start my search for resources. I found Trinity Behavior Health on Google. I gave them a call, a lady with the name of Vanessa told me everything would be okay and insured me of safety and wellness. I took her word on it, she gave me my itinerary same day. I appreciate that the staff doesn't just focuse on your wrongful doings of drug abuse. THEY DIG DEEP, find the cause and don't give up. The mental health help is what I love the most. I wanted to die moments before they helped me make this decision. The family sessions and trauma work is what had the most impact on me. I now feel like a man of honor again. At first I was just looking for rehab that me and my partner could go to because we were heading down the wrong path again when I Found TBH And was I so surprised it was for couples and we could stay together and work on our relationship mental health as well as our addiction so after I called they got us on the first flight clear across the country and they took us in with open arms. They whole staff was amazing here I can't say anything bad about them at all they even tolerated me on my bad days and even helped me out. I especially like the one on one time time I had with staff when I talked to them no maters who it was they all gave me great insight into myself and how to do better I feel so much better knowing why I am the way I am and how to handle it. What brought me to trinity was my addiction and mental health problems so that's what I came to work on. What I appreciated most about the staff and program was how they worked hard to get to the root of the problem and properly diagnose my mental health issues so that I could have a better understanding of my addiction It's hard to choose just one specific group or therapist or session because every approach Trinity comes at you with is truly worthy and sure to break through years of trama I loved the DBT especially When I first came into treatment I was merely existing..Trinity showed me how to live again. Trinity was hands down the best facility I've ever been to, the staff is incredible and the owners Edgar and Vanessa are the most caring and helpful people I've ever encountered. The way they run their program and are 100% dedicated to each and every clients journey and progress is amazing. From start to finish they are by your side. They are a couples program, which is very difficult to find. They assist both you as an individual and you and your partner as a unit. TBH is such an amazing treaent. I've been to several other treatment facilities, and none have compared to the PHP and IOP program this place offers. Maria, my therapist (excellent, by the way), and Bri, my counselor (also excellent), treated me with such kindness and respect. From Vanessa, Edgar, Wendy, Maria, Alfredo, Jon, Edmond, Bri, Kat, Lexie, EJ, and Fernanda and Melissa, they made this stay and program the best I've ever had. It has truly saved my life and marriage. What brought me to treatment was my addiction to alcohol and my behavior problems I really enjoyed the staff here they were very respectful and kind. I really liked my therapist Jon he was awesome he liked art just like me my favorite thing was art therapy I feel a whole lot better now then when I first started and I feel as if I can continue staying sober in fact I enjoy being sober. I would tell anyone who needs help that this is the best place for treatment I really enjoyed it here it worked for me it will work for you too if you really want it . I went here for months after going to really expensive rehabs. This is is by far the best place to go and it kept me clean after the others didn't. You get your phone back after detox which is cool. They give you freedoms and outings. They offer counseling. (Jen and Ed are great) They help you with pretty much anything you need. It's co Ed and a couples too! Vanessa and Edgar, the owners, are super kind and helpful. They are very involved with the program too. I moved to Texas, and if I ever needed help again I would go back to Trinity, no doubt. If you are needing help this is the place to go. Not only do they help with addiction but they also do mental health, trauma work, and couples therapy. I would hands down recommended them to anybody. I feel the best I've ever felt and you can bring your lover and fur babies too. They also pay for your flight here and home upon completement, so there is no excuses to not better your life.
