Next text, His Best 2 guys were coming, next text Best guy couldn't make it, SO, finally 1 guy and a 13yr old child showed up. I specifically asked for all the weeds to be pulled, the guy did pull some of the weeds, the child used the weed eater over the rest. So those started growing back immediately, of course. I Myself didn't have them bring out enough mulch, they brought out 13 bags, so I went the next day and bought 18 more bags and put them out Myself. They did mow and trimmed one side of a jasmine fence. Had Me walk over the job, one flower bed, which is in the very middle of the back yard, hadn't been touched. So I ask to pull it. Guy had to call the boss to see if that was OK? Really? I sent the boss-owner, Jarrett Brandes, pictures of the beds that all needed pulling. Which that picture was in the bunch. Job was half done correctly. So I gave Jarrett a chance to fix it! Either come back and pull all the weeds that were weed eaten, or to refund Me 1/3 of the cost. Cost was $450., so $150.. No response. A month goes by, 6 weeks, around week 7. I sent more text. He responded how I walked through with the guy, Steve, how I wanted the unweeded bed pulled, and how that wasn't even in the job, but they did it, to make Me happy, and that I had walked through, and signed off the work with Steve. All of which was a lie, because I let Jarrett Brandes know immediately after that crew, Steve and the 13yr old left, what a poor job was done, and ask Him when they could come back out to fix it??? Jarrett Brandes never has even come over to see the work. I sent photos that day to him. Noting was ever done and NO money was refunded. So after 2 months of frustration and being mad, it was time to just put this story on Yelp! Maybe a lesson here has been learned. Who to hire and not to hire.

I asked for an estimate to install a Tesla Charger, Generator Inlet, and whole home surge protector, thats all. I told them I was competitively bidding the work and this is what they gave me. BTW, I was able to get three competitive quotes for this work that were all in the $1,900 - $2,300 range, so it really was just this company being way out of line with the rest of the market. Then he tried to use scare tactics to get me to do things like spend $10k to replace all my outlets and light switches since the house was built in 2005. He also wanted me to sign a document after receiving the estimate that had not-so-fine print that removed all liability for their work if I didn't do all the upgrades they suggested, including the $10k for replace all the outlets in my house. After I reminded the estimator three times that I was competitively bidding this work and that $23k for all these unnecessary items would not be winning him the job, he pushed for the $23k option again and began telling me about their low financing options. I asked him to leave at that point. I cant imagine how many elderly people or widows are taken advantage of by these types of scare and pressure tactics.

They're also A+ rated by the BBB and for good reasons...professionalism, quality, and reasonable pricing. SCL had to redo our outdoor lighting and bring it up to industry standards. Five months ago, a company installed our lighting system which began to fail within 30 days. Each time the owner would come out and do something to rectify the problem. Not until the circuit breaker began tripping and shutting off immediately, did we call an electrician. (The guy who did the initial install buried a household extension cord over 100 feet and left the receptacle end and plugs to the transformer and lights in the open and rain.) We're happy our house didn't burn down. I can't recommend SCL enough. We are very satisfied with the excellent workers who came out and the quality of their work as well as neatness of the job.
