After a timing chain misdiagnosis from another garage--and an insane repair estimate of over $6,000 for timing chain, plugs, and ignition coils--I started calling around and one place recommended a specific mechanic at Christian Brothers who specializes in Infiniti vehicles. I had it towed here, and the mechanic correctly diagnosed the issue as a failed ignition coil--not a timing chain. That correct diagnosis saved me literally thousands. While Christian Brothers Auto. was my "hero" in this instance, it was definitely a "high-cost hero." This place is wildly expensive and arguably overpriced compared to most independent shops. It is my understanding most garages mark parts up about 100% over retail (e.g., a $16 spark plug bills for $32). Everything here was well over 100%, in some cases closer to 400% (e.g., charge $425 for a $115 Hitachi ignition coil, spark plugs over $50 each). I asked for an adjustment on the pricing, and they refused. Also, while many garages will give credit for a diagnostic fee (already higher than most at $199) toward the cost of repairs, Christian Brothers will not. In summary, while I was ecstatic about their correct diagnosis, I was less than enthused about their gold-plated pricing for the work they performed. I strongly recommend Christian Brothers if you have a hard-to-identify issue (at least on an Infiniti), but I would avoid for most routine maintenance, as they are far too expensive.

If available, they have loaner vehicles or do shuttle service which is such a great add-on to their amazing customer service. If you are waiting, there is a waiting room with comfortable seating and magazines for reading. They give you a call during the waiting process to update you on your vehicle. We never feel pressured to purchase unnecessary extras but are informed when there may be future visits. The best thing though, is the cookie they put in your car when you leave. Those cookies are delicious and it's a nice touch to their service.

In fact, the two could almost be twins. It's a little further in distance than I usually go - in fact, I can walk to my 'regular' guy - but I highly suggest Don and the staff at CAC. My most recent visit was specifically for their complimentary tire maintenance checks, and the team handled it flawlessly. I stopped by for a quick, free air check and had them examine my tire tread wear right before heading out on some major road-trip excursions. The entire process was incredibly efficient. The technician was fast and polite and made sure all four tires were perfectly inflated and performing exactly as they should for highway driving. The free air check is incredibly easy to navigate. You simply drive onto the property, follow the clear directional signage to the designated area, and wait. Someone will come out to assist you shortly. You do not even need to get out of your vehicle to get your air topped off. At my last tire rotation, I am glad to note that this rotation went better than my prior experience. The service bay crew was highly organized, working with the exact type of speed and precision that originally made me a loyal customer. Just like my earliest visits to this shop, I was in and out of the service bay in no time. It is great to see this team regain its momentum and deliver fast, convenient, and top-tier customer service again. Service has improved here and returned to what I've come to expect.

I arrived at Discount Tire in Wake Forest with a tire that was actively leaking air and was nearly flat. Yelp showed the store as being open until 6:00 PM, but when I arrived, I was told they actually closed at 5:00 PM. No big deal--hours can change, and I completely understand that. What disappointed me was what happened next. I explained to the person at the front desk that my tire was leaking badly and that I had just added air so I could safely drive there without damaging the tire on my 2025 BMW X5 M Competition. I wasn't coming in for routine maintenance or something that could easily wait--I was asking for help with a tire that was losing air and needed to be inspected and, if possible, plugged or repaired. The response was essentially that I should go online and schedule an appointment for the following week. I understand arriving near closing time isn't ideal, and I certainly don't expect employees to stay indefinitely after business hours. But when someone walks into a tire shop with a nearly flat tire and explains that they had to add air just to safely get there, I would hope there would at least be some effort to help assess the situation, offer a safe alternative, or provide some direction beyond scheduling an appointment for the following week. Unfortunately, the experience became even more frustrating after I left. Shortly after driving away, I discovered another nail/screw in my front tire, which I apparently picked up while in or around the parking lot. I obviously cannot say how or exactly where it happened, so perhaps that part was simply incredibly bad luck. At that point, though, I was honestly speechless. I arrived asking a tire company for help because I had a nearly flat tire, left without assistance, and then found myself dealing with another tire issue. I'm not posting this because I expect every problem to be solved immediately. I'm posting it because customer service is often defined by how a business responds when someone genuinely needs help. Even if the shop couldn't perform the repair that evening, a little concern, guidance, or effort to help a customer safely get back on the road would have made a tremendous difference. Maybe the second nail was simply bad luck. But the customer-service experience is something Discount Tire can control, and unfortunately, this particular experience left me very disappointed.
