I had a flat tire in the Walmart parking lot. I couldn't drive on it so I grabbed a can of Fixaflat. Ironically, Firestone is right there. So I pull in and ask if they would be able to plug the tire. Once you mention Fixaflat their only solution is a new tire for $300! I asked if they could let me at least put more air in the tire - NO! This is real customer service here! I would suggest if you need anything done with your vehicle, take it anywhere but here! To end my story, I drove across the street to O'Reilly's and bought a plug kit and 12V air compressor. I fixed it myself in their parking lot but they did offer to help. While driving to O'Reilly 's there was a WF police car behind me that quickly sped around me because I had my hazard lights on and could only drive very slowly. To serve and protect - lol. Firestone is really a mixed bag. Either they take forever, or they are super unrealistically fast and charge an arm and a leg for it. I had new wheels put on my SUV last weekend and had an appointment at Firestone a few days later to get them aligned. This place is within walking distance of my office, so I figured I could drop it off on my lunch hour and then walk back, then walk back after I got off work at 5 to pick it up. I walked in and no one greeted me for a few minutes even though there were 3 advisors available. Finally, one greeted me and I gave him my key fob and walked back to work. Less than 30 minutes later, my car was ready. Fishy. I'll preface by saying I work in the automotive industry so this was a little too fast for a wheel alignment, especially given how full the shop was when I left. Not only was it weirdly fast, but they charged me $130 for less than 30 minutes of work! Absolutely insane with their price-gouging. Yeah I won't be back here. read more

Prices were OUTRAGEOUS! Almost $100 labor to pour $30 worth of anti-freeze in the coolant reservoir that they quoted almost $80 for. They wouldn't even have to drain it as it would be empty from new radiator! I realize not everyone has the tools or talent to do things yourself, but the radiator replacement parts and labor was right at $1550. My son, who is enrolled at Wake Tech's Automotive program, ordered all of the parts including new radiator, new electric fan assembly and top of the line anti-freeze for less than $200 including shipping and completed the labor in 5 hours having never worked on this particular make or model car before. $325 vs. $1550 5x more (and thats paying my son $25/hour) If you think every kid needs a white collar college degree you might want to think again. If he had his own shop he would have profited $1,225 on this one job or $270 per hour!!! read more

I highly recommend this location - my daughter went over the train tracks on Ligon and next thing she knew, thump thump thump - nail in her tire! We took her car right to Firestone (where we bought her four tires just last year) and they got her car right in! We had purchased the tire warranty so the repair was free! Tony, who helped us from the minute we walked in, was exceptionally nice and really showed great customer service. We were in and out in under 30 minutes, they were able to patch her tire, and they even checked and tipped off her vehicle fluids, tire pressure, and checked her battery. All without asking. Very pleased with how professional everyone was, how clean the lobby was and how efficient this location was today. We will definitely return! read more

This place has got be the absolute worst managed car care center around. I scheduled an appointment for 7am. Arrived at 6:45am. At 7:30am when no one had shown up to open the store I left. Had to wait until 8am to contact customer care. Customer care person could care less and only said they opened late. I finally got ahold of someone at the store at 8:15am and was told they had to open late due to being short staffed and because all the managers were gone on vacation. Supposedly appointments were contacted the day before and given notice that they were opening late. I was not contacted. You would think knowing they would not be opening on time someone would put a sign or note on the door. Nope, no sign, no note and of course the workers there couldn't care less. This is the epitome of poor management and horrible customer service. Firestone should clean house at this location, get rid everyone and hire employees who actually understand what customer service is. read more

I scheduled an appointment for Friday, January 3, 2025, at 11:00AM for my vehicle to be checked for codes due to the check engine light being on and blinking at times. I dropped the vehicle off on schedule, and did not receive a call regarding the vehicle all day. I went to the Firestone Store at 6:45PM, and ask the status of my vehicle, and I was there to pick it up after the schedule appointment. Staff indicated the vehicle was not even looked at and their ignition tech who reads vehicle codes was off. I told the staff I wanted my keys back to the vehicle, and ask why would they schedule an appointment and let me leave the vehicle their all day knowing they had no ignition code readers working. I got no answers. This is very unethical and unprofessional service to customers. Firestone in Wake Forest gets zero stars. read more

Absolutely horrible! We watched the employees joke around instead of work. The individual worling on our vehicle forgot to delatch it before trying to back out. Everyone stood around watching, but then the man literally almost hit the wall backing out with our truck. He attempted numerous times. I had to yell for someone to ground guide him. He didnt even rotate the tires correctly. He did one side...didn't even fix the tire sensor that we asked them about...we have an infant. I just observed the manager very respectfully handle an irate and persistent customer extremely well. Despite being able to prove the customer was misinformed he opted to, for the sake of resolution handle the matter in a way that would end the disruption and keep the matter from escalating. Not that a business can always fold to whims, but a leader must pick and choose when it is worth it. He made the right choice. read more

I am just astonished at businesses these days. I completely, 100%, understand short staff. I work in a pharmacy. You would not believe how much I understand. Even so, there's still a thing as common courtesy. When I set an appointment for an inspection, and get not one, but two confirmations of my appointment, to then come to the appointment and they have NO ONE THERE TO TAKE CARE OF ME. Two days before the appointment, I got a phone call and talked to someone who confirmed my appointment verbally and then received an email confirming my appointment, for THE INSPECTION ... I show up and they say, oh we don't have an inspector here .. excuse me?? That is the whole purpose for the dang appointment .. to get my car inspected .. he said oh you know short staff and all. I was livid!! How about a f***ing phone call then!! I would have demanded a manager, if I had driven much further, I drove 20 mins to get there. He said, would you like to reschedule. I said no I don't. And as I walked out of the store I mumbled under my breath enjoy your one star review. Why would I reschedule with you if you don't even have a common courtesy to call me and say that you don't have anyone there to inspect my car the first time. What's to say that's going to happen the second time I make an appointment. I recommend you take your car anywhere but this place. Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. I truly get being short staffed, but that is no excuse to not take 20 second to leave a message saying hey, we are short staffed and don't have anyone here to look at your car, does another day work for you? To date (Nov 9, 2021) and my damages have fallen on deaf ears. I've been ignored, not acknowledged, and treated poorly after taken my car in for oil service it was returned to me with a dent. Tuesday 9/28/2021, I had an appointment (Store# 353226) for an oil change on my 2020 Chrysler Voyager. When I returned home, I discovered a dent on the front right side of my vehicle. I immediately called the store to report my findings and I was instructed by [Robert] to return to the store Thursday 9/30/2021 the manager would be there to file a claim. Upon my arrival as instructed, I reported my vehicle damage complaint to the store manager, Travis Evans. To my disappointment due to how poorly I was treated by this manger, because he invalidated my complaint, and he was just plain rude (lacking any type of customer relations skill set). In fact, I was made to feel as though he was implying I was a liar. When I brought my car to Firestone Complete Auto Care for an oil service Tuesday 9/28/2021, I did not have a dent on the front right passenger side of my vehicle. When I returned home that morning after the service, a dent was present. The store manager snapped at me while saying [he will not accept responsibility] for the damages; but that, he'll submit the claim. That statement alone is contradictory and doesn't make sense to me. He only asked for my first name, last name, and telephone number while seemingly blowing me off saying that someone will be in touch with me. It seemed highly unlikely to me that he'd report my claims. As such, Monday 10/4/2021, I called (800) 752-0379 and a representative identified himself as Scott answered my complaint and he took my name, telephone and my email address. He informed me that it'll take 48 hours for an Area Manager to contact me about this matter, but to no avail. Since I hadn't heard back from any authority on this matter, I submitted my complaint via the Firestone website hoping that by doing so would yield the proper professional response rather than what I'd previously received by reporting this damage to Travis Evans. Unfortunately, I haven't received any response from anyone about my vehicle to date, so today I called (844) 408-4396 and Justin answered my call. I explained to him as presented above and he pointed me in the direction Gibert (Identifying him as the claim advisor assigned to my claim). He reported that Gilbert acknowledged my File# 2573209 October 4, 2021. I haven't heard anything from Gilbert on this matter, despite the various attempts I've made to contact him. Prior to talking to Scott that day 10/4/21, I was not aware of my claim being received or acknolwedged. Scott provided me with a File#2573209 claim that was assigned to Gilbert, gilm@bfusa.com. Note that I've made numerous phone call attempts, left voice messages, and I've emailed him several times but to date, to no avail. He has not and/or will not acknowledge or respond to my voice messages nor email messages and it just seems that I'm being ignored away not to accept responsibility for the damages done to my vehicle. This is no way to treat a customer who entrusted a company to provide service to their vehicle and return the vehicle in the same condition as received. I'm hoping this message is seen by someone via Bridgestone Americas 200 4th Avenue S. Nashville, TN that will intervene and assist me with this matter and investigate [why] it's heading towards 2-months after damages and I've yet to hear from anyone as to what measures will be taken to rectify damages. Travis was a pleasure to deal with and walked me through the process explaining what was needed and how it would be done. He also offered me some advice that was very much appreciated. I used to love firestone and have been using them for years, however after my experiences with this location that has changed. I originally brought my car in to have rotors and brake pads replaced in May and over $760 and months later the issue still has not been resolved! I've given them several chances to fix the issue by having to bring my vehicle back in each month up until August and I'm still having issues. So much wasted money and time going to this location to the point where I finally got fed up and stopped calling because the employees always seem bothered and can't seem to fix the issue. I waited 2 and 45 minutes for a oil change and (1) tire change.. all of which were in stock. This was the most ridiculous service I experienced. People sitting around back just laughing and yamming it up. No urgency at all. People were miserable. If you want to piss away a few hours for an oil change...this is your spot. My husband took his truck in for an ABS warning light. Firestone read the error code, determined it was a wheel sensor and replaced the part. A few days later the same warning light came back on. Suspecting it was a bad sensor part, my husband called to have Firestone look at the error code again and replace with a new sensor. He was told it was now a problem with his computer and they could not help him. Firestone charged my husband a good amount of money to replace a part that evidently did not need to be replaced and are now refusing to resolve the issue or to even help him. On top of all this, they charged him for an NC State Inspection and they did not perform the service-he had to return to the shop AGAIN to get the inspection done. read more

Let me start by stating I have been a loyal customer of Firestone involving several vehicles for over 10 years, in multiple states and locations. It is this loyalty and other years of good service that clouded my judgement and allowed me to return to a specific store repeatedly, despite their mistakes. This review is not a reflection of my views of Firestone, just my view of the Firestone in Wake Forest, NC. 1. WRONG SIZE TIRE INSTALLED: Less than one year ago, I had four new 80,000-mile tires put on my 2015 Armada. About two months later, I ran over a staple and had to purchase one new replacement tire, it wasn't under warranty. I went back to the same Firestone in Wake Forest for the new tire and paid full price. Shortly after, I took a road trip and the 'slip-indicator' light came on every time I went to accelerate when at highway speed. The light coming on denied me the ability to accelerate, a very dangerous situation on a highway. I took the car back to Firestone, not because I felt it was because of the tires, but to determine what was causing the light. They couldn't figure it out, so had me take it to the Nissan Dealership, which I thankfully did. It took them very little time to inform me the problem was Firestone put the wrong size tire on my vehicle. This causes the slip indicator to come on when traveling at highway speed. Dangerous situation, and it took a Nissan Dealership to figure it out. Three return trips and wasted time, I finally had four tires the right size. Didn't ask for, and nothing was offered in compensation for their error. (paid full price for five tires) 2. MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR INSTALLED INCORRECTLY: A few months later I was driving the Armada and the vehicle would come very close to stalling at intersections, or when idling. Again, not a safe situation. Despite my recent tire experience, I gave Firestone the opportunity to fix the issue. They ran the analysis and it came back a bad Mass Air Flow Sensor. I paid full price to have it replaced, and two days later, had the same issue. I took it back to Firestone, and they acknowledged it was their installation mistake again, and put in a new sensor. Another wasted trip and time, with no request or offer of compensation. 3. HEAT REPAIR: Last week we took the Armada into the same Firestone in Wake Forest, despite their repeated mistakes, because it was blowing cold air with the heat turned on. They stated the thermostat needed to be replaced, cost of almost $400. We paid to have it replaced and drove off with our heat working for a day. Next time we went to use the heat, three days later, same issue, car was blowing cold air. Took it back to Firestone assuming they once again made a mistake, logical thinking considering their history, and that they would take care of it. I was told to bring it in on Friday, and they would look at it. They didn't get to it, so had to UBER home at my expense on Friday night. They called me Saturday at noon and told me the heat valve was bad and needed replaced now, an additional almost $300 at my expense. While I have no absolute way of proving it, the chance that the thermostat went bad on a Tuesday, and then three days and one use later, the valve went bad, is almost impossible and that has been confirmed by other mechanics. I go back to Firestone to discuss and am told they believe that within three days, two expensive parts which cause the same issue, broke in my 2015 Armada and that I owed them for the second part. I paid them for the new valve and walked out. I did return to speak with the manager, and provided him the opportunity to make this right, hoping he would acknowledge the unlikely chance that two different parts went bad in three days that cause the same heat issue. In addition, I anticipated he would recognize the repeated mistakes that had been made by his store with the wrong size tire and faulty sensor installation causing the significant safety situations his repairs had created for me and my family. Not to mention, the incredible inconvenience the numerous return trips and mistakes his repairs has caused. Instead, he chose to deny any wrong doing in this situation. I regret that I didn't learn from the first two errors made by Firestone, and can't with 100% certainty prove (although the law of averages would suggest they made another error) their third mistake in one year, so am stuck paying twice for the same heat repair. I had never posted negative reviews or provided negative feedback in previous Firestone surveys, until now. The amount of time I wasted with this repair shop is far greater and more valuable than the extra money I paid for this last issue. Update Kristyn: I see you commented on my review and give the perception of interest in my issue by offering a solution that the public will see. The solution you suggest, I attempted a week ago with no response. read more

The best part is unlock the competitors they have windows to watch the mechanics repair your car. As a single mom, having a reliable car is imperative. When something goes wrong, it really turns things upside down. I absolutely recommend Firestone in Wake Forest. The whole team is great! They've never made me feel stupid in regards to car repairs. They have always taken the time to listen to my concerns, thoroughly inspect my car, and explain their findings in detail. I trust their repair recommendations and I've never left feeling like I wasted money fixing problems that aren't there. It's great to know that my son and I are safe in my car after every repair. He took the time to inspect the car with one of his technicians, who determined that the car had the wrong lug nuts on all wheels! He obviously went above and beyond to solve my problem. I have nothing but great things to say about Wake Forest's Firestone! Lauren took wonderful care of us. I didn't catch the name of our mechanic or the shop manager but they were both amazing as well. My daughter bought a car in VA Beach, 3 hours away. She noticed a sound coming from her tires once we got close to home. Firestone was the only mechanic willing to see her immediately. They fixed the issue, corresponded with the dealership, and got the repairs done for us for free. They went above and beyond the typical customer service. I absolutely love Firestone! I get my oil changed here, and I like how I can make an appointment online and let them know whether I'll leave the car or wait. It's so much better than going to one of the other oil change options and taking a risk on how busy it will be. Everyone is very friendly and the location is CLEAN. There are things for my kids to do in the waiting room. I like how they check everything out and let you know honestly how everything is without pushing services on you. This is probably the best thing--they don't try to hustle you for more! Certain other places really push for stuff I don't really need, which makes me uncomfortable and makes me lose trust. I would highly recommend this location to anyone who is need of tires or even an oil change! read more

If I could give it zero stars I would. They close at 7pm and I pulled in at 6:40 after rushing there before they closed. I had hit some debris in the roadway from an accident down the road puncturing my tire. I was told that even know they were open I could not be helped until the following day. Outstanding work. I was extremely pleased with my visit from out of town. I had a scrubbing noise going on and could not pin point the problem. Travis and his team of ASC+ certified technicians found it and fixed it. I didn't get a laundry list of recommendations to fix either. They kept it simple, affordable and to the point. I highly recommend this location and get there early, parking is at a premium. They are that good and that reliable and work really fast!
