I have four significant pet peeves with this Sam's Club... As anyone who has been to a Sam's Club knows, the safety straps for children in the cart catch on the other carts when they are inserted into each other. This is well known, so why doesn't Sam's Club do something to fix it? Then on customer service, if you buy something that needs to be retrieved from the electronics cage, there is never an employee there to retrieve it. There's no button or way to call an employee so you have to wait around for minutes until you can get attention of an employee who always acts annoyed. In contrast, Costco has a friendly staff member waiting at their electronics room to retrieve your purchased item. Next pet peeve is one against customers. Customers leave the shopping carts in the corrals every which way resulting in shopping carts sticking out into the drive lanes. It only takes three seconds to insert the shopping cart into an existing line of carts...if we all would just do that. Lastly, the traffic and how you have to drive into and out of this Sam's Club absolutely needs to be reworked. And it feels like Sam's doesn't care about these issues. If Costco were more convenient, Sam's would never again see me. read more

I have always been a Costco customer but just moved to Wake Forest. The closest Costco is awful so I started coming to Sam's. I like Sam's Club even better than Costco. I had my eye test and new glasses here as well. The store is laid out well and offer great options. The gas prices are the best in town too. Count me as a happy shopper.... read more

NEVER order delivery from this Sam's Every single order I have ever made , I add to cart, check out and pay, Add Tip, actually over tip every time because most orders are heavy things like cases of drinks or water. Well, I base my over tipping because of the weight and I know its hard. Ordered today, Paid , They come and Guess what...Yep No Coke cases, Had ordered 2, His car was tiny and full with no room. Certainly 2 cases of coke more would not have fit. I go check my order and they cancelled the cokes via email. Happened the last few time I have never seen Sams run out of canned cokes, ever. Well his tip was based off my entire order that it allowed me to check out and pay for stuff I am not getting. Yes it backs it back off but its not known to me until it does not show up when delivered. Todays technology KNOWS when you do not have a item in stock . Happened for other items I wanted to buy for this order and it would not allow you to even add it to the cart. So they are getting tipped for something they did not do any work for . Sams needs to make a way to adjust tips after delivery . I had to fight with the rep online last time to refund my tip. I did not want the whole thing , just to adjust it to a fair amount . ( normally $15- $20 which is a big tip when your on a limited income due to a disability) Well the only answer to this since it happens every time is not to tip at all . Tired of getting screwed even if its a $3 dollar reduction for the missing items , Just sick of trying to be nice and over tip and getting ripped off for doing so. So from now on they can deliver it for free on there end for No Tip. read more

It's been years since we had a big box store membership, but I was able to snag a great deal thru my job and thought our family might benefit. Very pleased with the store itself, and there was a lovely young woman at the front who got us our ID cards. The store is very clean, very organized and well-lit. The few employees I interacted with were all very friendly - one went so far as to hunt down a specific item for me! The Sam's Club app is terrific - you can scan as you go, pay via the app, show your receipt on your phone at the door and you're done! The restaurant area is very small, but the prices are terrific. A large unsweetened tea and a big pretzel set me back $1.96. Wow! Maybe my only criticism would be the parking lot design - the gas pumps are always completely overcrowded and the gas customers literally block the one entrance to the main parking area. Very poor planning. Anyway, we've been twice in about a month. Grabbed a great winter Eddie Bauer jacket for $34, the most delicious burnt ends (!), and some really unique keto items and prepared foods. Definitely recommend, but be aware parking lot can get messy! read more

I'm used to being asked every time I go to the checkout if I'd like to donate to a charity of their choice, but having the guy at the gas pump who is supposed to be helping people with problems coming up to everyone with a sign asking for donations was just too much!! read more

I am a big fan of Sam's Club in Wake Forest for groceries both large and small and the prepared food of salads and family meals are excellent (kudos to the chefs) as is the Rotisserie Chicken; and the Staff collectively are friendly and dedicated and helpful, one who stands out is Erica at checkout, she was not only personable and friendly to my grandson, she also went out of her way to help me with a return, just wanted to share and say how nice it is!!! while most thing at Sam's are exceptional the gas stations attendant is something less desirable he shut my pump off for backing in instead of going forward but still came in the direction of the arrows he told me that it was one way I explained to him that is the way I came and did not say any thing else just shut off me pump nothing no signs nothing at the pumps say I can't back in did not impeded traffic no sure what his problem was he also shut off the pump on the other side to punish him for me being there very rude I don't need the headache of dealing with an over grown hall monitor not the only gas station around I will for now on get fuel somewhere else read more

You have to have a membership to Sam's Club to be able to purchase gas here, but if you get a tank a week over the course of a year it will pay for your membership. I wish they had longer hoses on the pumps so it would be easier to fill your tank but the lines are never really that long. As I say this I bet they are extremely long right now as Raleigh is in a panic about Hurricane Florence. Gas is usually 10 to 15 cents cheaper than most of the local stations and if you have a Sam's credit card oh save even more. Worth your time to join and get gas here in my opinion. read more

Of I could give this location "0" stars I would. I bought my tires from Sam's Club in Rocky Mount, NC. While shopping in Wake Forest This past Monday, I went to the Sam's Club location in Wake Forest to have a nail pulled out of my left rear tire. The tire department is "incompetent". They do not know how to fix a tire and put a plug in it. Needless to say, my tire lost all of its air overnight, and I had to have another repair shop fix the tire and put in a new plug in the tire. The cost to me was an additional $35.00 for this repair. I have an appointment this coming Monday, July 24th and I will be seeking compensation for the money I had to put out for this repair...... read more

Sams club has caused over $400 worth of damage to my vehicle after doing a pick up order. A bottle of soap was busted after an employee put it in the back of my car. 3 minutes after leaving, a sensor error is shown in my dash. The entire jug of soap leaked into my third row and went into my seatbelt sensors. The assistant manager was the one that loaded my car. Sams club refuses to take any sort of responsibility for damaging my car and wasting hours of my time to handle this situation. Now, they claim that it's my responsibility because I should've gotten out of my car to check after them. Buyer beware. They don't care about their customers. read more

If you like buying in bulk, you'd probably rate this a bit higher. The gas prices are usually cheaper than most stations around, however, at times it is same price as nearby Murphy's at Walmart. They are similar to Costco, but no Costco nearby so they have the monopoly in the area. The best savings in my opinion are on paper products and toys are usually a bit cheaper as well. They are a big warehouse and takes time to search for stuff. They have electronics at good prices but probably competitive with Amazon and such. read more

Horrible business. My mom has been a member for 4 years and she sent me with a picture of her card to buy groceries. We spent an hour getting everything picked out and then unpacked into the register. The rude cashier said I need to go to member services since I don't have the card. We wait 30 minutes in member services line and the rude cashier says she can't help us because I'm not my mom or dad. Absolutely ridiculous. I have my ID showing I AM THEIR KID. THEY SENT ME HERE. WITH THEIR CARD. and I was denied service. If you are thinking of buying a membership, don't. The people who work here will spit on your grave and laugh. read more

I love this location. The layout and offerings are so much better in my opinion than that of the location down Capital in Raleigh, which used to be my store before I moved. It's clean. The produce is great. I like their workout clothes. The scan and go app cannot be a better option for shopping so you don't have to wait in a line. read more

This review is about the online tire ordering and local store installation process. First off, I was able to get the 4 Michelin tires I wanted from Sam's at a good price, compared to other options. But there are some issues with their processes that added at least a week delay until my tires were available at the store. I ordered the tires on Jan 3. They were not available at the store when I ordered, so was told it would take a few days for them to arrive. No problem. So I checked a few days later and found that they had a partial order delivered. I checked back again several days later only to find that the status was unchanged. I called the store and was told that they were unaware that my order was only partially delivered. So, the person placed an order for the remaining tire to be delivered. Checked the online status and few days later and it was still unchanged. Called the store and tire was in and I scheduled the installation. That went well. On a lark I checked my order status online and it still showed that my only order was still only partially delivered. read more

We'd been Costco members in CA for many years, and always had a Costco less than 15 mins drive. From our new home in WF, its a much longer trip to Costco, so happy to see this great alternative close by. In general, this store is as good as Costco. They are better than Costco on the book selection, and the fact that they have some self service checkout lanes which Costco never does. Wine selection, food selection just as good. The only area where Costco is better is clothing. Costco even has dress clothing at a great price whereas this Sams Club just seems to be jeans, sweatshirts, etc. read more

I enjoy this Sams Club. It is clean and I like that there are lots of samples constantly being given out whenever I am there. It seems like there are more samples here than other locations which I like even if I don't partake. I like the prices on bulk foods, but be sure to look out for sales. The sales are the best time to buy bulk items especially if they are not part of your daily shopping. Cashews are expensive but great when they go on sale. I don't buy when they are not on sale. Paper products for kitchen and restroom are also very affordable. For one person you will not use up one $15 to $18 bulk paper towels even in 2 years! Basically buy once every few years. Same with restroom paper, you will not use it up after 2 years. 2 years later after abandoning some paper products I did not have room for during a move I finally bought more. This will easily last me another 2 years. For the same price you get like 1/2 or even 1/4 as much or less from the regular store. Prices are always good on fruits and juices and vegetables. There are not as many organic like Sprouts but what you can get is sure to be a good price. If you eat pizza, wait for the sales where you can get 3 whole pizzas for $10. 10 bucks. That is the price of 2 dominoes pizzas (when on sale) but healthier. I get on a rare occasion as a treat. They have so much bulk chicken. You get a large bag of bulk frozen breaded chicken and you pay the same as if you went to the grocery store and got a bag 1/2 or even 1/4th the size (depending on what grocery store). I get all my chicken here. You can also get many other supplies, ranging from bulk office supplies to bulk house supplies and cleaning supplies for cheaper than the grocery store. I like the orange juice here, they make it straight from the oranges with nothing added! You can watch them press a bunch of oranges in the machine press, straight into juice into a bottle and then close the bottle. It doesn't get any more real! It is expensive and the price went up recently because they made the bottle smaller. Because of the price I don't buy as frequently but I would never buy any orange juice other than Sam's because this is the only "real" orange juice you can buy anywhere! If you are into unhealthy stuff, you can get the lunches, everyone knows the hot dogs here are the cheapest, $1.50 with some poison soda, lol because all soda is poison. I don't buy them. Because I eat healthy. But, it's definitely the best deal anywhere for a cheap unhealthy meal. Oh and the parking is also good. I park far away so I don't get dings and there is always enough parking far away. The staff are always friendly. Only downside is the credit card machine can be buggy, but the staff will help you with a smile if it bugs out on you. Funny, I have lived across the country and I was there the other day and almost got a little confused because it felt exactly like every other state I have been to due to exactly identical layout I was almost like, "what state am I in again?" because it feels so much the same. I buy gasoline from this Sam's location in Wake Forest. It really concerns me that for the last several weeks the gas pumps on the left drive lane has issues with pumps being blocked off and not working. It would seem to me that with the long lines at the station awaiting fill ups that Sam's would be more diligent in keeping all the pumps is service. Nothing is more frustrating than to get in a pump lane and only one pump is in service. This has happened the last 4 trips to refuel our vehicles. read more

The only reason I come here is because it's closer than BJ's or Costco. If they ever open one in this area I feel like Sam's Club would be in big trouble. They never seem to want to open enough lines, the tire center is always horrible off on their service time quotes, and the selection isn't that great. Historically, I am not a club store shopper due to the overwhelming atmosphere. With that, Sam's Club is a manageable size club store, and the set up of this specific location is quite easy to function in. First off, the parking lot seems like it was masterfully planned; I usually have to go on weekend days and always find a spot close to the front door. Just the thought of parking at club stores makes me not want to go - I may need to work out my club store phobias. Once inside its very clean (being new) and you're greeted by a friendly staff member (don't forget to show your special card!). Husband usually goes straight to the giant televisions right in front (masterful marketing guys) and I head to the necessities. There's a great selection of meats, dairy, vegetables and fruits along with the fun stuff like wine and beer. I appreciate that everything is fresh and in stock. Great place to get spices if you use them often. I hope this store stays this way - especially the cleanliness factor. Only one minor suggestion - get a hold on the hot dog/pizza/snack food line. Everyone in town knows its a deal so everyone is there waiting. The line sometimes blocks some of the check out lines. Perhaps some painted lines or velvet ropes would do the trick. This location just opened and so far we like it but today we used the self check out and the lady who watches that area said she "had to check our receipt and our receipt will need to be checked again at the door because [they're] having problems." Was rather awkward and not sure why we needed to know about their problems... So prepare to wait in two lines to have your receipt checked when leaving if you use self check out. read more

This review is only for the Tire center. Service was horrible and with an appointment, I had to wait more than an hour for my vehicle to be taken back to a stall (2.5 hours for the entire experience!) after being given all kinds of attitude for asking how long before my vehicle is taken into a bay. Because of the more than hour extra waiting, I got home just barely in time to leave for the trip we had planned. It was a horrible experience which I won't be repeating again for any of my cars. Trust when I say, the small amount of savings isn't worth the hassle of dealing with such unprofessional, rude behavior. The most surprising thing for me was that I was received attitude & silence instead of apologies when I show up for an appointment and They are backed up. It's Sam's Club. Clean, enough parking, has what I need inside. Prices are good like any Sam's. Has a gas pump out front with also good prices. People inside are friendly and I was happy that there were lots of samples each time I went in so far. Sometimes when I go to Sam's maybe it is the time but there aren't any samples. Not so here, there are lots of samples. I especially like there are a number of healthy choices here such as organic pasta sauce and others. Highly recommended, plus Sam's club membership is relatively cheap and you save a lot of money here over the traditional grocery stores. I'm not giving the whole store one star, just the tire and battery center. I made 5 trips to 2 different Sam's clubs for my tires. I'm really hoping the problem is finally fixed but we will see. Every other time I've brought it in, my tire came back to me worse than it was before. I've talked to 2 shop managers and 1 store manager. I will NEVER buy tires from Sam's again. Here's the story. We went down to the Goldsboro store to get tires put on because my mother in law was buying us new tires. I get my car back and the tire pressure light is on and there is a random piece sitting in my center console. No one said anything about anything when we picked the car up. Drive it for a while and discover there is a slow leak in the right front one. Take it to the Sam's club in wake forest. They told me it was a sensor that they took out, I had no idea if it was bad or they messed it up but either way they apparently tried to put one in there but it wasn't compatible with my car. No one told me anything when I picked it up here either. I had to go in and talk to them because my tire pressure light was still on. The guy said he didn't have one in stock and also couldn't find anything wrong with my tire. Now it's leaking 4lbs a week. Take it back to the Sam's club in Goldsboro. They put another sensor on that they charged us $45 for but that was it. And again, no one said anything to us. Obviously that didn't do anything because then my tire started leaking 8lbs a day. Take it back to Wake Forest. They tightened the valve stems and said it was all good. Then my tire lost 20lbs overnight. Go back to Wake Forest. They tell me there is a "process" they have to follow before they change a tire. This process puts me and my son at risk while we are driving but they don't seem to care. Then they tell me I have to actually purchase a new tire because the 3 year warranty only covers road hazards... So you're telling me that if I had run over a bunch of nails, they would have replaced it for free but since something obviously happened during the initial installation, I have to pay for a brand new tire??? They tell me it was installed right and has no leaks. Air doesn't just magically evaporate out of a tire. I also emailed headquarters and got a very generic nonr specific email back which was no help. Never again will I purchase tires at Sam's. At this point, I will never even become a member again. If they are like this in the tire center, where else do they cut corners??? Beware before purchasing a set of tires at Sam's no matter how good the deal is!!! read more

Get there at 7pm the entire chicken case is cleaned out and no rotisserie chicken!! Come to find out there should be chicken in the warmer. Spoke to a manager and he stated that they upped production by 75% and that at 830pm they should start tearing things down!! I can tell you exactly what happening!! The same thing thing that is happening at Walmart!!! They are suppose to be serving customers till 9pm and then they should start cleaning but what staff is doing is starting their closedown procedure a lot earlier because. They want to get out!!! This is unacceptable and a disgusting way of running business! We don't eat meat! We rely on those rotisserie chickens for our diet. We have a business account and really considering closing our account and just doing away all together with wholesale clubs! Very unprofessional on their part!
