I've been to the CVS in Downtown Wake Forest many times since my last review. This CVS has a good-sized parking lot and also has a drive-thru. I was greeted upon entering today, and two cashiers were working. I noticed that the store is better stocked than it had been in the past. The Minute Clinic area has been remodeled, with a larger waiting area. I used the self-checkout as I prefer it when redeeming my rewards, as I can pick and choose what to use based on the expiration dates. The self-checkout next to me was being worked on, and the one I used was finicky at times. It would scan some of the items easily, and others would take multiple attempts. Recently switched pharmacies and an important time sensitive med didn't get transferred offer to this pharmacy. As soon as I figured this out ran to the pharmacy and got there at 7:55pm. Pharmacy closes at 9 pm. Apologetically asked if they could please transfer the script and fill it tonight. By then it was 7:58. The pharmacy tech checked with the pharmacist and she approved. So grateful for them. Expect they were exhausted and ready to leave. We made the right decision to move our business to this CVS! Thank you! read more

Maggie is without a doubt the most disrespectful, arrogant pharmacist and should not be working within the medical field. In order to work in the medical field you have to have a special kind of patience and care for the patients, and she completely lacks that. She also has very poor understanding and communication. Very disappointed to see that pharmacists like her are around. She abruptly hung up on me TWICE, after I asked her a question. Arrogantly said "Bye!" the second time. read more

Went to pick up my prescription this evening and at 6:01 I was standing in line the gentleman before me was taking time and they informed me we close at 6 PM. It would not serve me.. Older lady working the front desk is extremely rude and condescending. Went in to drop off a UPS package. Before I could even get in line she told me CVS can't guarantee my already labeled package will go out next day or even 2 day air. I told her I spoke to someone at UPS who guaranteed me it would be shipped one day air. She said despite what UPS told me it's still not guaranteed. It was 3pm and UPS hadn't even done their pick-up. read more

No point in reserving an appointment as they don't abide by the scheduled times, and bring in clients that are "more convenient" to their schedule. I waited over 90 min for my scheduled appointment and watched 2 people schedule an appointment at the kiosk only to get treated before me. I would understand if they were running behind, but they clearly picked clients with no merit. Complete waste of time and terrible service. I would go to ANY other CVS in the state before coming back here. Please save your time and energy, drive the extra few minutes to the next closest location. The only saving grace was that Dr. Saunders was very helpful and kind. She stayed well past 7:30 to finish both mine, and my girlfriends testing. read more

Much nicer pharmacy than the Rolesville CVS - my review on the CVS Rolesville pharmacy says it all. This location is very busy, typically significant wait in drive thru, but it's worth it for me to get much better customer service. The pharmacy tech at this location is always pleasant and the one time I dealt with the pharmacist, she was pleasant, too. I mentioned to the pharmacist that I avoid the Rolesville location due to how rude they ALL are at that store's pharmacy and she commented that they hear that a lot... I'll keep picking up our medications at this store - it's a bit further for me, but that's ok. read more

What else can I say except.. I LOVE CVS! Especially this Wake Forest location. CVS often runs decent sales, you just have to look out for them and I love getting the rewards bucks when you enroll in the CVS rewards program. The CVS in Wake Forest is always clean, the shelves are stocked nicely and the employees are kind. My only complaint at this location is the drive-thru pharmacy and the Parking lot. You have to enter from a different entrance to get to the drive thru. The signs aren't clearly marked. read more

The drive through is the absolute worst!!! Be prepared to wait 30-45+ minutes in line and another 5-10 when it's actually your turn. It's no better when you go inside because all the workers and staff are unfriendly. We switched pharmacies almost 2 years ago and couldn't be happier. read more

This is the worst pharmacy I've ever been to. It is abundantly obvious they do not care about their customers. I went in here to pick up my prescription and the line was ridiculous, so I ended up waiting 20 minutes through the line. (They only have one person in the entire pharmacy checking out people one by one as slow as they can.) Once I got to the front was told they need 30 minutes to put in my coupon to take money off my medicine. So I went in the parking lot and waited 30 minutes for them to put in my coupon. Like is this a joke? So then I come back in and wait through the entire line AGAIN. Not like they could have someone in the back come by and recognize I already went through the line and help me because they care about their customers? So then I waited through the line 20 more minutes only to figure out the coupon took like nothing off anyhow. Told everyone to switch their pharmacy on the way out & in the parking lot. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. Make their business hurt so they realize how disconnected they are! Support local pharmacies or anywhere besides here. IF I COULD GIVE IT 0 STARS I WOULD. read more

TRUCK DRIVERS WITH A CDL BEWARE!!!!!! Do NOT go to this location for your DOT physicals! Dew, the woman who does the physicals just refused my husband a 1 year card renewal due to MILD sleep apnea even though the FMCSA's website for the DOT specifically states: What Level of Sleep Apnea (mild, moderate, severe) Disqualifies a CMV Driver? The disqualifying level of sleep apnea is moderate to severe, which interferes with safe driving. My husband provided this doctor with ALL paperwork she requested as well as a doctor note from his PRIMARY care provider. His sleep study specifically states that he has MILD sleep apnea. This NURSE practitioner clearly has NO idea what she is doing and needs a lot of training!!! She called the DOCTOR and refused to completely explain everything to the doctor and all she mentioned to the doctor was that he had sleep apnea... not even what severity it is from his sleep study. She even measured his neck which was 17" ... WHICH IS THE CUTOFF. My husband is 6'5". She kept making excuses that she would be putting her license on the line but when she asked if he falls asleep all the time and all of the mandatory questions she asked him... he passed!!! My husband answered no to all of the questions. When my husband asked to speak to the doctor... she ignored him and hung up. My husband is ELIGIBLE for a 1 year medical card. Sleep Apnea is considered being under control when it is MILD or BETTER status!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! read more

CVS has not had 4 different medications that my family has needed in the last 2 months. When asked, the pharmacy said it's a manufacturing issue, but Walgreens has had the medication each time. It's always something with this pharmacy. The line's are always too long, they need several hours to fill a single prescription, most of the tech's are snooty, AND they'll tell you to come pick up at a certain time only to not even have started filling it when you show up hours past said time. Most recently, I have been waiting since the 10th (it's now the 19th) for a med they didn't have in stock. One would think it would automatically get re ordered when it didn't come in, but not at this store. I shouldn't have to continuously call and remind them to re order a medication. This place will have you banging your own head into the nearest and hardest wall. read more

I am not a fan of this CVS. I repeat, I am not a fan. Then why do I keep going? It seems as though when I need some sort of pharmacy product that I cannot get anywhere else, this place is the only one open. This and this alone is what earns the CVS in WF the two stars it gets. The staff are miserable. How do I know? Because they talk about it....constantly. They usually do it in groups together and then ignore that there are customers waiting to pay. The pharmacy staff in the back don't talk about how miserable they are, they just portray it, over and over again. I don't believe I have ever had a decent experience with a medication which is why I switched a couple of years ago for all of my meds to be filled at Village Pharmacy. The second issue at the WF CVS is that the staff is not knowledgeable. They have no clue what is in stock and they don't even try to find out. Overall, I never have a good experience here which saddens me since it is in the heart of downtown WF. I want to love this CVS but I don't. I'd rather have the personal touch of the Village Pharmacy. I give this location one star because of consistent annoyance spanning years. For one thing, they often decide to stop carrying certain preparations of my medications. That happened to me here twice with two different meds. They initially carried them and then stopped, even though it was a monthly Rx for me. The final straw came today when I went into the MinuteClinic. I was literally in there for one minute. I needed a PPD screening test for TB. The NP said she wouldn't run my insurance because "They usually don't work for this," even though my particular insurance does cover this screening. Then she said it'd be $28 up front (for a $1 shot) and $28 when I had to come back to have it read (for a 30 second nurse visit) even though nobody ever charges for a reading. $56 cash versus $20 minus insurance coverage and free reading at my doctor's office? No question--this place grossly overcharges for basic services. All in all, there was not much service to rate. read more

Been on hold to try to take care of a prescription for a patient for 15 minutes. Phone keeps getting picked up and put back on hold. Not one person has spoken to me once. This is the most retched CVS I have ever stepped inside. In fact, I stopped going inside to try to keep the funk of retchedness from rubbing off on to me. The drive-thru is no better. It is a nice, fairly new building so that's not the problem. The problem is the staff. I know that even good places have bad moments, but this place has consistently rude employees from the front counter to the pharmacy. However, the rudeness is not my biggest complaint. My biggest complaint is the pharmacy staff will flat-out lie to you repeatedly. I had grown accustomed to adding an hour to everything they said, but eventually that did not even do the trick. Multiple times they have called me to say a prescription was ready (a real person--not an automated call) and when I arrived, it had not even been STARTED. If you just need a standard refill of something, you have a few days to wait and you like to be treated poorly, this is the place for you. If you need to get a same-day prescription because someone is sick, I would strongly recommend another pharmacy. Any place would do a better job than here. read more

This location is far too busy. To add insult to injury, CVS does not care about the service they provide. I cringe when we get a text that prescriptions are ready, and my wife is unavailable to pick up. Today I spent 17 minutes in my car at the drive-up - and there was nobody in front of me. I have called corporate, talked to the Regional Manager, and nothing improves. All I have left to do is beg our company to let us fill our prescriptions at another pharmacy. I can not speak for the entire pharmacy however one of the Nurse Practitioners (older black lady) at the Minute Clinic would make a great example of an employee set for termination on an episode of CBS' Undercover Boss. She is short with her words, rude with her vibe, and generally not a very happy person. I guaruntee you that her attitude alone is costing the location and the sub business at the Minute Clinic a lot of money. I brought one of my ballplayers here for a Sports Physical and by her interactions with me, you would assume I was asking for her ATM pin number. So I took in my husband's EpiPen prescription that still had a refill on it. I took it in five days before the prescription expired. Came in the next day to pick it up and was told they had to order it and it would be there Monday. Monday would be two days before it expired. I came in to pick it up Monday and it wasn't ready. Was told another shipment would come in on Wednesday. Came in to pick it up on Wednesday And they still didn't have it. Wasn't told anything at that visit about the fact that the prescription was expiring and that they would not be able to fill it. Came back to pick it up on Saturday, the pharmacist went to get the EpiPen, then came back and told me she could not fill it because in the meantime my husband's prescription has expired. She offered no advice so I said, "What am I supposed to do, make a doctors appointment to get a refill?" She said yes. And I said, "And then I just hope he doesn't get stung in the meantime?" That's when she offered to fax over a request for a refill to my doctor. Who knows if the doctor will fill it or not, and then we'd have to go pay a co-pay for my husband to go get a refill that should have been filled before it expired or offered to transfer it to another location to get it filled. read more

I have used CVS Wake Forest for multiple years, but within the last year I have noticed such a dramatic decline not only in my personal service, but also in the attitudes and performance of their employees. I get the same medicine every month, and they never have it on hand... Never, even with notes on file. The Circus is in town!!! Slow doesn't even begin to describe this place. I waited 2 and a half hours for a small prescription. Everyone was clearly stressed because of the slow and uncaring staff. The pharmacist took his good ol' time counting pills with a line out the door. As I was waiting patiently to drop a script off , an old lady by the name Donna Tucker, shouted at me hold on a minute, ll be a minute, ok? Very harsh and mean like I was ruining her day, standing there not making a peep. It was unreal. Like a circus in there. CVS take note, people will leave and take their business elsewhere. This is unacceptable. An old guy came to the counter and said that his wife had just had wrist surgery and she needed her pills over an hour ago. She was supposed to get them ASAP. Well they told the guy to wait another 20 minutes or longer. Disgusting. If you missed the circus this year, just go to your local Wake Forest CVS and you will be thoroughly entertained! read more
