Patty!!!! Yes, go to Patty for your hair removal needs. I got tired of going to threading spots in the Lakeview area because I wasn't satisfied with the outcomes. My brows eventually lost their shape and definition of my younger years, so I decided to try this place out. Hopped off the train, made an appointment with Patty and walked in 5 min later. Tiffany is very friendly and did an excellent job at shaping and threading my eyebrows. I'll definitely come back to get my brow done by her. She was very professional and funny! Been coming to Trim Salon for almost 3 years now and have been seeing Tiff. I definitely received such high quality services from Tiff, from threading, facials and waxing. I even brought my husband along if he needs a threading or a facial. My skin is usually mixed dry to oily and for my wedding last year, she recommended to do series of facials as part of my preparation and my make up artist was so impressed how glowy and smooth my skin was during my wedding that the make up lasted for a long time. I wouldn't trust anyone else but Tiff and trim salon. The salon itself is so clean and spacious and relaxing. I've been frequenting Trim for several years now. I always look forward to my appointments because of the cute and friendly environment, super clean and lovely smelling space, and of course the techs. First off, this is the only place I will get my face waxed. Ive gone to places closer to me but nothing compares. It's a little expensive but worth it. They use great products, and all the techs I've seen have the best technique; my wax is pretty much painless. They are also meticulous and take their time. I highly, highly recommend Krystal and Martha. They are so sweet and I always leave happy! read more

Service: good Needed a new threading place since moving to the neighborhood, and Trim exceeded my expectations! My esthetician was so friendly and did a wonderful job without prodding me too much (you get this some places) and even gave me some advice for my issue with ingrown hairs. Also - the guy who works front desk is so personable. I don't often feel like receptionists are the hit of an experience for me but he really goes above and beyond! read more

See, this is why I love Yelp. I'm a visitor to Chicago, know nothing about the neighborhoods, places to go, etc... and then I can come here and get an awesome recommendation for the most intimate of intimate services. Thanks. This place was clean, relaxing and it specializes in the the job, you know? I went to Danielle and she was really nice, talking to me the whole time and making me feel comfortable. I had an amazing first time experience here! I hope all of my waxes go as smoothly as this. Unfortunately, I do not remember the name of the girl who did my wax. She had short brown hair, and let me tell you she was beyond fabulous. She took her time, and was very thorough with the process. She also helped me relax, and put me at ease. They also provide little discounts through Belly if you go there frequent enough. They do use the strips and not the hard wax...which in my opinion is a hell of a lot better than the hard wax. Afterwards, they even give you a flyer of things to do after you get a wax. I will definitely return! read more

The person who made the appointment for me was great and sent me a picture of the outside noting there had been some confusion with a place nearby. I ended up waiting 30 minutes with still no service, and one of the workers was arguing with who I assume was the owner outside. Two other girls who did have appointments were also waiting to be serviced. I started to read how bad the gel is here and ended up walking out and leaving. Won't be going here ever again! Had really bad vibes!

Ok, so I was the scardiest cat of all the scaredy cats in the world to ever get waxed. I'm the biggest wimp in the whole world! But after being inspired by a scene in "The Break Up", I decided it was worth giving it a try ;) I've been here three times in the last month and a half. The first time was a Brazillian with Stephanie. I ain't gonna lie, it effing hurt. Like, a lot. But strangely much less than I had imagined. She was very sensitive to the fact that I was new and scared. I got one of the sugar scrubs after it was over (Passion Fruit! It smells so yummy) on their recommendation and I actually use it to exfoliate my entire body. It's pretty cool. On a whim I went back for a full leg wax on one of those scant gorgeously perfect afternoons and had Fiona. She was efficient and nice enough. She and Tara (the receptionist. I love how they're so into you knowing all of their names) warned me that small, invisible hairs may grow back within a few days, making me not as smooth as I might like since it was my first leg wax. They were right, this is exactly what happened. But I appreciated the heads-up, and it reassured me that they hadn't done a half-assed job. Today I had Evie for another Brazillian, and I'm totally seeing her from now on! The other girls were definitely nice, but I loved her no-nonsense attitude. I was still a bit nervous, and she was sympathetic but didn't coddle me like Stephanie seemed to. I guess I needed a little Brazillian tough love ;) She was also a bit more thorough and gave me warnings before she yanked on areas that were particularly painful or sensitive. I've never gotten this done anywhere else, so I don't exactly have a great point of reference, but I would wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone. They are professional, kind, understanding, and fast!! (Although, yes, they are a little pricey and the product prices may make your eyes bug a little bit!!) read more

What a great place!! I met Laura, she's really the best - be sure to say hi when you meet her! I dragged my bf in for some much needed wax (he needed much less hair) - had to play the "I dare you ..." card to get past his macho - well you know, but it worked! Laura played right along, but also answered all of his questions seriously. He eventually realized they're a legit business - and I wasn't taking no for an answer ... and agreed to go. Jen did the waxing, they call it the Speedo for the guys 'areas'. She was very concerned for his comfort and took extra care to be as gentle as possible, I heard very little screaming - guys can be such babies sometimes ya know ;). I was so impressed that I had her give me my touchup right after. It also gave him some 'cooldown' time to recover. Tara (I think/hope) suggested some advil before his first time, very good advice, and they also helped with suggestions to avoid ingrowns - not a pleasant thought down there - a nice touch I thought. I'd definitely recommend these folks when hairy just isn't sexy anymore! read more

Stephanie M. from Colorado is WITHOUT HYPERBOLE...the kindest, gentlest and BEST BRAZIALIAN BIKINI "wax-doctor" I've ever encountered. She is indeed a SUPERSTAR aesthetician. "Sister's" who? "Sister's" is NOT the only place to go in the City of Chicago... TRIM and esp. Stephanie M., (Colorado Stephanie, there are two Stephanie's at Trim, I'm told thru Yelp postings Stephanie K. is a rockstar as well, however, I can only speak of Colorado Stephanie) ...she took my pain-threshold into serious consideration...it wasn't a 15minute operation...she took her time, respected how much I could withstand and graciously helped me prepare for the inevitable rrrrrriping of Miss Daisy...with an added bonus of soothing the area with a fantastic magic lotion....in the end...it was not the torturous experience I have had in the past...sure the undercarriage was a bit of a shock to the system, however...when is it not? They had 5 until the other day. Let's start with an overview. My eyebrows are whores. Everybody had worked with these. Waxing, threading, razoring. You name it, my eyebrows dealt with them. Anyway, I did was cheap and affordable but ended up paying the ultimate price when my eyebrows went from thick and full to barely there. So...I found Trim on here. I actually lived close to there, always saw the place but never went in. So, I scheduled an appointment, went in the same say and met Mina. She listened to me. Told me what I needed to do and what she was going to do. My eyebrows aren't perfect because we have a ways to go but overall I was happy because she didn't just do anything to me. She saw my vision and she has one. I took a start away because of Bianca...the receptionist. Wanted to reschedule my bikini to the following week and she gave me such a hassle. So, i have been getting waxed for years and i noticed a new waxing studio moved into my neighborhood. I couldn't get an appointment at my usual place so i decided i would give Trim a try. I was hesitant. I was greeted by Laura. She was as kind as can be and i filled out some quick paperwork. The girl that waxed me was named Steffanie. If I could kidnap her I would, she was painless. I love her. I now have a new "usual place" for waxing. They also have an area of cute and practical retail in the front of the store. There was another girl waiting to be waxed when I was leaving and everyone was just talking like they were old friends, it was nice and laid back. A cute, comfortable, super chill place to get waxed. I had gone in for waxing services and was scheduled with Evie. It was the best and most painless waxing experience I have ever had. Evie made sure nothing was left behind and she was so quick!! After experiencing many Brazilians in Chicago, I have seen it all. I have been burnt, I have had people double dip in the wax, I have been contorted into crazy positions, all of the above. Julie changed all of that. I have since moved further away from this location, but would never miss my appointment with Julie like clockwork. She is great at her job and a great person to boot. The salon is always clean, but still feels cozy. Their online booking system is very user friendly, and they have hours for any lifestyle. I am fairly new to Chicago, and have been looking around for a wax spot. After reading and giggling about the Yelp review Veggilicious wrote I decided to check this place out. I only wish I was close with friends that would look at my vajay vajay and let me know if it looked good or needed some work while on vacation! (lol). I came in without an appt. and was quickly taken in, the lady was friendly, it was quick and no more than the usual pain one gets when getting waxed in that area, you can't expect pain free people. I think I just keep striking out when it comes to Trim. The staff average in terms of customer service, not to talkative to myself or when clients arrived. My brazillian was not as smooth as I thought it would be it took forever. My technician lady kept going over the same spot and it was just to painful I had to tell her to stop and I usually can take the pain. I went back a second time with a friend, that time my experience was a little better, but my friends was not and she told me this place was just not worth coming back to, I think I have to agree with her. read more

I am a huge fan of Trim in Bucktown! I always go to Ewelina for my waxing appointments. I recommend Ewelina for anyone with wax anxiety. She is beyond kind and patient and makes you feel totally normal. Ewelina is extremely skilled at what she does, and it makes waxing quite tolerable. This was my first time ever getting a Brazilian and it was great! I saw Jamie and she was wonderful! She kept me calm throughout the whole thing and it was not nearly as painful as most people make it out to be. She was patient with me and was very helpful at answer any questions. I have experienced similar, but at better prices in the area. I had no problem getting an appointment because no one was here (1star!). It's a small place. I had minor weird moment with my waxer which I would rather not say. Bottom line, you can get same service at better prices in the area and maybe a not so weird moment with your waxer elsewhere. read more

THERE IS BLATANT NUDITY ON THE OUTSIDE ADVERTISEMENTS, one of my friends and I went in to complain and they treated us like garbage.
