I had been a very good customer of Trillium. I started going there when I moved to Oshkosh over 7 years ago. I had worked with Brenda, Trish, and Tori over the years. I never had an issue and I highly recommended Trillium to others. I stopped going to Trillium when my new stylist (not mentioning name) rushed through the process of applying a total of 5 tape-in hair extensions. She had another customer waiting for her. Not only did she hastily install the extensions, but chastised me for not having enough hair to apply extensions. Curious ? She had applied extensions previously to my hair and had no difficulty, saying I had more than enough hair. Now she was saying I did not have enough hair. Sigh! Upon leaving the salon, I did not take my remaining hair. (Trillium holds on to your extensions.) My hair that remained at Trillium was in good shape, micro extensions that were never used. I regularly bought new extensions to replenish the damaged ones. Some time passed as I was taking care of my husband who is a disabled Veteran. On April 3, 2025, I had returned to Trillium to get my hair. It was not there. My stylist had thrown it out. I gave no permission for her to throw my property away. Nor did I receive text, email, or call to ask me if she could throw my property away. I have been calling the Salon to speak with Trish. On a Saturday ,Trish left a voice message for me saying she would call me back. She has not. I continue to call, however no one gets back to me. This has been going on since April 3rd. So sad because Trish has a good thing going with the Salon. You will like the Salon, just don't get the stylist that I had. read more

Sarah may call herself a "baby stylist" as she's fairly new to the industry but she's so far from that. I've been a hairdresser in Atlanta for nearly a decade and she listened to exactly what my hair goal was and nailed it! She's as sweet as can be, and made me feel like a pretty girl again! I went to Trillium to get hair extensions for the first time 2 weeks ago today and paid almost $500 for them. Within a week and a half, they started to fall out, the tape appeared to be curling up, and people began commenting that they were very noticeable and thought they were not put in properly. I went to see my friend who owns her own hair salon this past Saturday and she and another stylist examined my hair. They stated that the extensions were not properly placed and it appears they were put in hastily. I called Trillium after my friend looked at my hair. The receptionist stated that the stylist and owner would not be in until Monday. I made the decision to have my friend remove the extensions as I had an event that night and could not wait until Monday. The stylist did call later that day and said she would meet me at the salon to look at them. I told her I had already had my friend remove them, but we took many pictures prior. I asked her to speak with her boss about refunding some of the money I had paid and she said she would. She called me today and said the owner would not refund anything. I then spoke with the owner myself and very nicely explained the situation. I understood if the hair would not be refunded, but I believe it is a reasonable request to have the labor refunded given the extensions were falling out and looking like the attached pictures. The owner stated she would not refund anything because she did not have the chance to see them in person. I asked her to review the pictures and honestly tell me if they are supposed to look like that. After texting her the pictures, she called back and said that nothing looked wrong with them and that when she had extensions in her hair they looked the same. I am very disappointed in the customer service I received. I paid nearly $500 for a service that started falling out after a week. 2 stylists I know saw the extensions in my hair in person and said they looked terrible, as did members of my family and other friends. The owner did say they would put the extensions back in my hair for no cost, but why would I want that if it will be done the same way? I believe I am entitled to a partial refund. I even would have accepted it if they would have said they do not give refunds, but apologized and offered a gift card for a different service or product instead. Anything to make me feel valued as a customer. This was my first time getting hair extensions and I wasn't sure how they were supposed to look at first, but I've now heard from multiple sources they are not supposed to look that way. I do not have bad intentions in posting this, but given the amount of money I spent and the short time the extensions lasted I find it necessary to share my experience. read more

This is going to be long. I recently moved to the area and needed a haircut. I had very long hair, past half my back. I researched salons in the area and thought I'd give Trillium a shot since I wanted to look nice for the holidays. I liked Lauren's work from Facebook so that's who I went to.She's very nice and personable. I showed her photos of what I wanted and she seemed like she'd be able to deliver. But sadly my hair is terribly ruined. I've attached a photo of what I asked for and what I ended up getting. Obviously, the front is very short, but also missing a huge chunk right in the middle. I didn't even want bangs across, but kind of loose long bangs to frame my face (like the photo), which I did communicate. I said, "I don't want bangs straight across my face" Anyways, after she was done cutting, she blowdried my hair and I could tell from her face that something was wrong. When I saw the front of my hair in the mirror, my heart dropped...it looked terrible...short, disfigured. Usually, when I get a haircut I don't really care for, I'll still try to be positive, but this is just bad. There's no way I can wear my hair the way I intended...and to think how long my hair was it's honestly so upsetting. I will have to pin my hair up until it grows out. We also agreed to take off only 1 inch off the rest of it, and that seems much shorter too. I mean, I feel ugly and really upset because this was not my idea of "looking nice for the holidays." She even tried to attach a little piece of extension (and give me $10 off) where there was that huge gap, but it would looked terrible because you could see where the extension was attached. After trying that, I told her to just take it out and that I'd deal with it. She wanted to style my hair in those lose waves and I declined...I honestly just wanted to leave. She was plenty nice and apologetic. I didn't have to pay for the "haircut." This is probably the worst haircut I've got in my whole life and I will never go back. read more

I loved it! I'm very skeptical about hair salons as I've had a few too many bad experiences in the past. But Kari was amazing! She did a really good job with my hair. Since I was going from having really long hair to a short bob I was feeling a little worried, but I'm very happy with the haircut I got. Also Kari made me feel so comfortable during the appointment. The wedding party and I had the most wonderful morning getting pampered for the wedding we were apart of. It was so easy to just show up, get our hair and make up done all in one place. Unethical to delete messages/reviews especially when you know you are wrong! When a business makes a mistake simply own up to it and take action for it. Everyone makes mistakes but it's how you deal with it to fix it. You messed up on the girl's hair ! The least you could do is give her a free service to fix it up! read more
