I called a few days prior and was scheduled for 4pm on a Monday with Kate. I arrived as they were putting up new signage on the front window. I was welcomed by Kate when I arrived as was the only one in the salon besides her. Not sure if everything is done via appointment but it appears that way. I was offered water, coffee, or tea and chose a Chai Tea which turned out to be really good. My hair was washed and it was nice and relaxing. Kate then asked how I wanted it cut, and I told her that I only needed a trim because the ends were a little scraggly. She cut off just what she needed to and most of the length was kept. My hair looks fantastic and I will continue to come here when I need trims/cuts. If you want a great salon that has a high class feel but affordable prices then you want to come here.

I chose the latter, but realized I should have chosen the former because I'm always interested in learning how to better care for my skin and what the professionals do/recommend, so halfway through I asked her to tell me what she was doing -- she told me she was doing a gel mask and using a jade roller. They're not pushy or salesy-- at least in my limited experience-- but she asked me if I was interested in anything in particular and I told her I'd be interested in learning more about X, so after the facial she showed me some products. They were expensive so I didn't end up buying but they sounded very good and I did look them up later.

I had really long hair and she took the time to cut some off and color it with two tones of blonde (to my already dirty blonde hair color) and then trimmed again. When I wasn't fully satisfied with the way that the color laid on the top of my head we added some coloring and gave some touch ups! She was totally patient and understanding to my pickiness. She was very open to talk to which made me walk away feeling like I had known her for years. I also loved that her pricing was reasonable. I know that coloring and highlighting hair is costly, however she wasn't no 140+ for highlights, that I had seen on many other sites while trying to decide where to get my hair done. the only reason I didn't rate a full 5 stars is because my standard for 5 stars is because of unrealistic goals and ideal's.
