I got a ton of useful information from the lawyer that presented the law side of things. Both Kevin's and Alisha's presentations were engaging, so they made the 6 hour classroom time pass by quickly. The range instructors were extremely helpful and attentive. I brought my own pistol, so I was part of the "intermediate" shooting group during the 2 hour range session. They had us drill an exercise that was just slightly higher paced than the beginner (safety and basic shooting skills) part of the class. I also got some helpful tips to help me improve my shooting. I'm here at least twice a week and I love this place. They do not have what I call "Range Nazis" that are overbearing and invade your personal space while you're trying to shoot. This place wants everyone to be safe and have fun. They are very accommodating and easy going. It's not the most modern place, but it is the perfect place for shooters to go that don't want to be treated like dummies, like they do at these newer places. He made us shoot with both hands, one hand, and with one hand on our non-dominant hand as well to make sure we were prepared for any situation. Our course ran over for about 30 extra minutes because we had a large class, so be prepared to potentially leave a bit late.

I get in there and I get absolutely grilled about what I purchased, like beyond small talk and gun banter to the point where it felt like an interrogation. Another time I had a guy call my ID fake when I went to shoot at the range? I'm a 30 year old man by the way. Another time I went in to get a gun appraised to possibly sell it to them, apparently only one person is able to do that? I was standing there waiting for a literal hour and a half before I asked for my gun back and left. Just don't really feel welcome here. I've had better experiences at retail gun ranges. I think for new comers to firearms to come here, it would be a very intimidating experience.

The things I have learned from these guys are absolutely priceless! The trainers have REAL WORLD experience folks, they know how to train you the right way so that if something bad were to happen you know how to react. SOME of the things I have learned so far is, correctly drawing from a holster, quickly and effectively finding my site picture, shooting while under pressure, shooting from multiple positions, shooting from behind cover, quickly and effectively clearing a jams, shooting in both low light and no light situations, plus the added benefit of doing most of this with your off hand! You never know the situations that you will end up in, so do yourself a favor and stop thinking that just having your CCW is enough, its really not. Spend the money, learn from the best, and protect both yourself and your loved ones when the worst happens.
