I was so excited to try the Classic meal plan. The website was very confusing as to how to change Classic meals orders for the future. I tried on several occasions calling the number provided and waited 20 or more minutes only to get a voicemail box. I also tried chatting and reached Allison a few times. She tried to explain how to change my order but I did not see the button she was referring to on the site. She cut off our chat and emailed me a link. I tried to view it and could not open so I tried chatting with her again and I waited and waited and then the chat window said "no agents are available". I was just chatting with her so I sent emails and I kept getting the same "canned" message in return. I was so frustrated and requested my subscription to be cancelled immediately. No response after SEVERAL tries until I messaged the Better Business Bureau regarding my problems and I received a call from Allison immediately after the BBB contacted Trifecta! I am happy many people like the company and the food but to me it is a scam. read more

It is very important to know you get charged every Friday. And the meals are awful. I had not even tried my first meals before another order was processed. The Paleo meals are REPUGNANT. I could not even stomach some of them they were so bad - as well as they stink up the house. I canceled as quickly as possible but another box full of the same swill was shipped and charged to me anyway. NO REFUNDS - even if it makes you sick. I strongly urge you to try another food service before this one. read more

After some going back and forth via emails with a rep at Trifecta, I decided to give them a shot since it would fit in perfectly with my clean eating plan. I ordered their a la carte plan for 3 weeks. Since I workout and work long hours, having items pre-cooked was ideal for me. In this manner, all I basically had to do was pre-heat and season accordingly. The food is great. I like it a lot. It is seasoned very lightly and with good ingredients, no sugars. It made things so easy to prep on the weekends. The issue I have is the portion sizes that were sent to me. In the first week, I was shorted big time on vegetables. I was getting 1/2 of the a la carte sizes (website says 32 ounces). I was getting around 16 -18 ounces. In addition, the flat iron steak was being shorted a few ounces as well. Now I completely understand that they won't always add up, this was pretty blatant. This happened every week I ordered. It was ridiculous. I had to call/chat each week (including taking pics on the food scale). The reps were great, and always offered to refund me the portion I was missing. As gracious as this was, I just didn't feel like calling in every week about the shortages, especially since each time, they told me they would address with their kitchen. You would imagine that they would fix the issue after this, but nope. Every week. For 3 weeks straight. I was just perplexed this was happening. The last week, it was so severely shorted, they decided to send me another box mid week. As you can imagine, this was a bit much for anyone. I decided to cancel (or, as they put it, "on hold") and told them when their kitchen decides to weigh portions correctly (which btw, the kitchen apparently got defensive about it, which is...quite perplexing), I'll sign up again. Who knows? Maybe you will have better luck, as one rep put it "we spot check the weights and 99% of the time they are weighed correctly". I guess I was unlucky each time. So moral of story? Weigh your portions (and that probably goes for the meals) to make sure you are getting everything you paid for. Again, this is a great company with great food, and I hope they do address this so I can order again. If I do, I'll definitely come back and revisit this review. This place is much better than any of the other food prep places, because they are definitely made for people who workout regularly. read more

This company is absolutely my go to. I travel for work and never had much food at home so I'd go out. Now I get to choose my meals and how often I receive. If I'm going to be gone I can easily give Trifecta a call and they change my delivery so I never have wasted meals (those of you know what I mean, spend way too much at grocery and then work schedule changes and you end up throwing away) with Trifecta I get healthy sustainable organic meals My favorite is the grilled shrimp and sweet potatoes are delicious too. On occasion I let myself have beef, very good. A good friend just tried vegan and is loving the selection. Try it for yourself. Their customer service is tops in my book!! read more

Terrible meals and company. I was SO excited to try Trifecta meals because of the reviews and pictures on Facebook, only to receive meals that not only looked bad but tasted terrible. I tried the keto and the Paleo options. I have tried so many of these delivered meals and I can genuinely say these were the worst. Besides that, the keto options have too many carbs to successfully get into, or stay in ketosis. I was fine just losing money and moving on thinking maybe it was just me until I saw a few people post on their Facebook feeds asking how they tasted. I left polite, but honest feedback and had all my comments deleted. I went back again to leave the same comments and not only had them deleted, but was blocked from commenting on their page at all. This is a very disconcerting practice. Now I understand why everyone seemed to love them, all the negative reviews were deleted. I posted about this on my private Facebook page only to find out many of my friends had also tried them and had similar poor reactions to them. You can't please everyone, and I get that. But, deleting all negative reviews is tan amount to fraud, in my opinion. I don't trust or like that company or their food. read more

Excellent meal prep and delivery service. I love that you can order a la cart items in addition to your normal subscription. Would highly recommend especially if you're trying to reach athletic and fitness goals. read more

Trifecta's system for repeat delivery leaves much to be desired. On multiple occasions I received shipments I didn't want and after chatting with them, I was told changes would be made so that there was notification prior to delivery and that still didn't happen. I did the clean meals and they were okay, decent alternatives to cooking if you don't have time but they all taste about the same. Very unhappy with shipment and delivery without notification. I was offered a discount after the last time this happened and my delivery was postponed as long as possible but I didn't received the notification I was promised until the package shipped. By that time, I was told it was too late to return. read more

I signed up for the low carb diet plan 3 meals a day. The first delivery was far from low carb. Most all of the meals had over 30g of carbs per meal. When I called Trifecta to see what was going on they said the labels were mis marked. I'm not sure if I believe them. The second week the meals did not show up on Friday I again called trifecta they said meals would not be delivered until Saturday. Saturday came and no delivery. I called them and they said they would get them to me by Tuesday so I had no meals for 4 days. The meals did show up but with no breakfast meals. The third week they again did not deliver as promised I once again called and spent over 30 mins on hold for them to repeat what they did to me the week prior. Bottom line! There are other choices out there don't waste your time with these guys. Turns out Fresh and Lean is the same company as Trifecta as they ship there meals from the same location 333 N. gross !! stay away!! meals came opened and looked disgusting very unediable. do not fall for the marketing

This meal delivery service is always very fresh. They have great quality food that is very healthy and this food helped me lose weight and I always had energy. As a busy college student, its super easy and convenient that the food is delivered right to my door. I don't need to waste time grocery shopping or cooking, so it makes my life 10x easier. read more

So glad I tried this service! It is so convenient and helps me stay on track with my busy work schedule. The meals are varied enough to stay committed, I will definitely keep using. Only a few meals in, but I am more than satisfied with the meals and have no complaints! read more

I have only received one set of meals so far, one Vegan and one Clean. I do not have the complaints others have made about customer service or delivery. Both have been just fine, in fact customer service has been very responsive via email. Some of the vegan meals come w/Beyond Burger which I can't eat due to canola oil. I emailed customer service and they said, "no problem we'll remove it from future meals." So far so good. One meal I've had wasn't great due to too much lentil pasta becoming a little sticky or dry and not enough veg, but the other meals have so far been great. I don't mind at all that they are what I refer to as "one pot meals", meaning most/all ingredients kind of blend together. The most important thing to me is organic, "clean", gluten/dairy free meals that are already prepped and cooked. Flavor has been good, even excellent so far. The packaging is pretty easy to recycle which is also impt considering it comes weekly. I do make my own salad to start with and sometimes add a little extra vegg to the meal but I think the amount of each meal is adequate (I'm a woman. Men prob need to supplement.) I'm happy so far! read more

I used Trifecta's Paleo delivery service for the past month. I recently decided to cancel my subscription, however felt it necessary to give them a good review for the following reasons. I was looking for a quick and easy way to follow a Paleo meal plan and Trifecta did just that. I did not have to cook and the meals were packaged well, allowing the food to stay fresh throughout the week. The entrees are thoughtfully labeled with expiration dates. The meals are super healthy, helping me to lose 10 lbs over 3 weeks. The customer service was excellent, even when I needed to cancel, I did not receive the heavy persuasion to change my mind that I was expecting. The only reason I decided to cancel, is because the food was extremely bland at times, and I have cooked my own Paleo meals at home before, where I felt there was more taste. Overall, I was satisfied with Trifecta, I would recommend them to anyone and I would consider subscribing again. Thanks! read more

Great food and so damn easy. That's the most important thing for me, convenience. The online portal lets you pause weeks if needed, change meal plans, and does not make you choose what meals you want. People who need meals like this typically are too busy to make decisions and order stuff online so this is a major benefit to be able to streamline an efficiency in my eating habits and have it taken care of on a weekly basis. Highly recommend! read more

My doctor suggested that I switch to vegan while quarantining during the pandemic to avoid gaining weight. I subscribed online for the vegan meals and later asked to switch to vegetarian but was told the meals were the same except for breakfast. I only enjoyed three or four of the 10 vegan meals delivered each week and decided to cancel my subscription. I called the phone number listed on their website and waited for 15 minutes before hanging up and trying the online Chat that begins "An agent is on the way" and waited 10 minutes before seeing "NO AGENTS ARE AVAILABLE." I finally called the phone number again and left a voice mail and sent an email canceling my subscription. If you're thinking of subscribing, check to see if they changed their policy and allow you to subscribe and unsubscribe online. If not, try canceling by email and ask that they respond with an email confirming the cancellation; otherwise, your credit card may be charged for another delivery. read more

As far as prepared paleo meal services go, I like Trifecta because they deliver fresh meals and are a local to California business. No cooking required! Just heat it up in the microwave. My problem starts with their packaging. The instructions say to snip the inside plastic film and peel back, except there is no perforation to assist you, so brute strength is required. I do appreciate that the meal tray is recyclable. And they are working on an alternative to Styrofoam for their delivery box, but in the mean time, you've got panels to throw away. What really sent me back to getting my meals from Pre-Made Paleo is just a preference. I like my food separated out. Trifecta's veggie sides don't have much integrity. They are smooshed together with the meat. I'm not super into mushy mixy food, again, just a preference, so I didn't stick with their service. The meat was always good, for the record. read more

Just got my first order in the mail. They forgot 2 of the 5 items I ordered. I called customer service and got no answer. Then I tried the IM customer service option and did get a very responsive person who gave me a partial refund. BEWARE: this is a "subscription service" by default. I was signed up for a $120/ wk charge without realizing it. I cancelled it and am not sure I will reorder with them. read more

There a numerous advantages to Trifecta but the best part is that the meals are delicious and flavorful. With some pre-packaged meals, Paleo meals can be bland and a let down to eat, but Trifecta is a treat! Some of the other advantages include convenience, well-balanced, cost effective, quick and easy. The weekly cost may seem high but since all the meals are so well-balanced with all the macros you need then you don't have to supplement with a lot of other food. I save money by not having to spend much at the grocery store or eat out. I don't have to think about meal planning or prepping which saves me a ton of time!!! read more

This is some of the WORST food I've ever eaten. I've tried almost all of the proteins and even ordered several vegetarian meals, and they were all ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. Meat was so tough that I had to spit it out. Cod was bland and chewy. Vegetarian meals tasted so bad I literally held my nose to eat them. I don't know why, but everything tastes so sour even before the expiration date. I doubt the food is actually fresh. Flavor seriously SUCKS ASS! Had a pesto pasta dish the other day with undercooked crunchy pasta and disgusting sour flavor that tasted nothing like pesto! How do you ruin pesto that bad???? I'm not even a big drinker, but I had to chug a beer before my dinner just to numb my senses a bit. The only thing that was tolerable was the chicken breast. I don't trust any of the favorable reviews here. I'm a real customer paying my money for this service without promotions. Trifecta is not cheap, and for the price I would at least expect edible food. read more

I want to first start off by saying the customer service with this company is impeccable and has my utmost respect. Their professional accountability and excellent communication with customers like myself should serve as a model for other companies of ANY size or service. Whenever there is a hiccup with delivery or receiving payment (my credit card wasn't updated), they've always communicated with ease and made everything convenient to get it all straightened out. When I wanted to cancel my meal plan and change to a la carte, they were able to stop my meal plan even in a short time frame and refund my entire amount and start the a la carte on a date I desired. This helped minimize overlap of deliveries and spending extra money on food I couldn't possibly eat as a single person living alone because it was too much. They actually listened to me and heard me as a customer. They didn't just want to keep my money and bully me into the order that had already taken place. They asked what was going on with my needs or issues and then accommodated pleasantly. I felt valued. I felt important and like I mattered to them. This is priceless. Thank you Trifecta. Also, the organic component of their food, the welfare level 5, wild caught source of protein and sustainability practices are also noteworthy and needs recognition. Because this company supported me in my needs and also taking care of the animals and planet during consumerism--something that isn't always easy to do--they have my support for sure. read more

I have tried many food delivery services and tried this service to see how it was. While I didn't like the fact that I am unable to choose my own meal if I pick the 'type' like Paleo or Keto, you can opt to create your own using the a la carte option. I had an issue with delivery where it was supposed to arrive the next day, pushed to the next day and then claimed a delivery failure and postponed the shipment another 2 days. Being concerned about perishable foods I contacted Trifecta immediately. The response I got was almost immediate and most caring. While I got my food sooner than expected, they stayed in touch and ensured I was satisfied with my order. I will say that I gave it a shot and decided it was not for me, but I am most thankful for a great customer experience and a company that is open to client feedback to improve their growing business. Customers are the heart of any business and I found them to be most open to ideas and comments. My suggestion is to give them a chance and give honest feedback on ways to improve instead of bashing a company for something you think would be great. I'm a huge proponent in my job with my team to say.... 'you know those days when you come across something and you say... "wouldn't it be great if..." ... ' SAY IT! Let companies know in a constructive manner what would make you both a customer for life or improve your experience with them. I found Trifecta very open to this and thus my review. While I'm not a client for delivery, I will keep watch on improvements they make and will most certainly consider coming back. Also note, I'm pretty used to meal prepping myself so this is NOT a bash on their food, taste or options!!!! The food was good, the packaging was awesome and overall experience good. Give them a try!! read more

INCREDIBLE ON ALL FRONTS!!!!! I've been ordering Trifecta for almost 3 months now and I get 3 meals a day for Mon-Fri as well as a few extra A La Carte meals that I can mix up on the weekends as well as some for added protein snacks during the week. The meals are very well prepped and seasoned. Being from South of New Orleans I tend to add a few spices here and there to get that kick I like, but I've had plenty without adding a drop of seasoning and still been truly pleased. I've had a few orders that arrived missing a couple meals as well as once I had some items mixed up in my order. Trifecta has always gone above and beyond in getting those meals that were missing to me ASAP as well and they refunded me for meals that were wrong even when I told them I was fine since they sent me a few meals extra. My overall rating and experience with Trifecta and their team is that they are truly above any other meal prep service currently available online. From meals, delivery and customer service/the level of satisfaction Trifecta both aims for and achieves you simply will not find a better meal prep company PERIOD!!! read more

First; Trifecta Nutrition is a scam. What they don't tell you: It is a WEEKLY subscription and if you do not like the food on the first week, as I did not, you need 7 days to cancel, HOWEVER, you can only cancel by phone and no one answers the phone. You press 1 for a representative and they methodically wait 24-48 hours to call you back so that you are stuck with a 2nd delivery of SHITTY FOOD. Now when I mean SHITTY......This takes me to my Second Point; I ordered the paleo, and Mariesha - the representative who called me back after I called to discuss plans, changed my plan to pescetarian as I don't eat meat. I got 2 salmon entrees and 5 shrimp. They all taste the same. Bland. Like nothing. The entrees are called curry or coconut but they all taste the same bland taste 6 or 7 small shrimp, heavy on the carrots, sweet potatoes, the only difference being broccoli or kale getting back to the SHITTY FOOD, 3rd, 30 minutes after I ate I had to run to the bathroom. My stomach rumbled and rumbled and boom! Not sure as to what that was all about, on Saturday I heated up another meal, ate a few bites, and listened to my intuition that this was the cause of my crippling pain the day before. 30 Minutes later, Boom! Running to the bathroom again after just a couple bites. In my 25 years in the food and beverage industry, the only thing that causes this is spoiled food OR PRESERVATIVES. YEP PRESERVATIVES. Which takes me to my next point. 4th) Spoiled warm food? These meals are vacuum-sealed and even though it is hot here in the summer, the delivery of meals was lukewarm - another possible reason for the stomach rumbling. 5th) Ridiculous Price for what you get, a basic TV dinner, tasteless, although less sodium than a frozen dinner. 6th) You cannot cancel, again you cannot cancel, again you cannot cancel because no one answers the phone. I tried to call several times and the recording saying to leave your name and number and someone will call you back. So if you like shitty, bland, tasteless meals, TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, go ahead and order. Don't say I didn't warn you. 7th) They have GREAT MARKETING - FIT ACTORS HOLDING THE MEALS, however, if you read all the reviews, they have paid for the 5 star reviews with a review company. If anyone would like to join in on the class-action Consumer Protection lawsuit with me let me know. Trifecta Nutrition- otherwise knows as Nutrition Corp- is otherwise known as Fresh and Easy. All I wanted was to cancel after my 1st delivery and get my $108.43 back. But they never answer the phone so you can never cancel. Pretty Shitty way to do business. Pretty smart way to scam people. I would love to see them respond to this and give me my $108.43 refund on my AMEX. read more

I have been getting the Trifecta Meals for a couple of weeks and I'm on the vegan plan since I've decided to go to a predominantly plant-based diet. First and foremost, this meal service is for people who don't mind spending more money for healthy food that is prepared for you and ready to eat. I need the convenience and VARIETY in my life, and I don't cook. Yes, the meals are more expensive at $10-12/meal and the portions are not huge so please do not expect a huge plate of food. But the vegan choices are really good and I love the portion control...it's like having your own chef who prepares good, organic meals for you in the 400-500 cal/meal range and I'm not eating the same thing day after day after day. You pay for the convenience of healthy, prepared, portion-controlled meals. Two Favors I ask from Trifecta: 1.) Please add more Beyond Meat products to your vegan dishes ( beef and chicken) so that the vegan dishes are not so many beans and tofu. The Beyond Meat products make the meals heartier and more satisfying, especially to those of us who have been meat-eaters our whole lives. BRING ON THE BEYOND MEAT BEEF AND CHICKEN!!!!! 2.) It breaks my heart to see so much styrofoam in your weekly packaging....I mean, A LOT of styrofoam. I understand that you need to keep the meals cold for shipping, but is there a better way that is more friendly towards our planet? I'm not a tree hugger, but I scuba dive around the world and see the devastating impact of plastic and styrofoam in our oceans....can the creative minds of Trifecta figure out a way to reduce the plastic and styrofoam in the weekly packaging? Even reducing it would be so much better....Our planet will thank you! read more

I was super excited to try Trifecta Paleo-yes it was expensive, but I thought it would be a nice way to get back on track with a week of organic paleo meals. I liked how it was delivered to my door nice and cold, but unfortunately the food was not that great. The flavor was nice, but the meals were very soft and for two of there were only 1 piece of meat in the meat cube dinners. Also way to many sugary veggies, carrots. sweet potatoes. When I did call to inquire, she said to not eat as many of the vegetables. Hmm, I was hungry and the meals are not huge. Disappointing as it could be a very good business if they tweaked a few things. read more

Let me just start off by saying WOW. I am thoroughly impressed with this company. I'm on the paleo meal plan and I've already start to lose weight. I was so surprised by how fresh the food was. I wasn't expecting much, I just kind of ran out of time to cook each week and decided to give this a try. I am SO SO glad that I did. Definitely recommend! read more

Extremely disappointed. Don't trust the photos on their website. The food looks nothing like it. The meals are clearly made in bulk. The proteins are bland and unimaginative. The vegetables are wilted and lack distinction. I could make the same thing at home, and better, and so could you. I think that is the best description -- imagine you are a regular person following a recipe in a cookbook, but you have no actual experience cooking out of a cookbook. You'll probably do okay, and get something edible. But that's it. While cheaper than some competitors, it shows. read more

this is like the 5th food service ive tried and ive finally found one that i really like and can eat every day. the taste is very good and the calories are low. they have also never gotten the order wrong which i really like. the food stays fresh for several weeks i guess because of the vacuum seal? most importantly, they continue to deliver to me in a time where i dont want to do alot of shopping at the super market. i highly recommend. read more

It's unprofessional, and unwarranted, to say negative or untrue things about customers who contact customer service and politely try to understand and resolve issues with their order. Their agent would not directly answer my questions about why my orders were consistently wrong (half of what I received was different than what was listed on the published menu, 50% or more were duplicate meals, and this happened EVERY week my membership was active). I requested a refund of the duplicate meals, and when I received a receipt for a partial refund, I noticed their "internal notes", and was shocked to see their agent left both inaccurate and unkind remarks about me. I was on the fence about keeping this service because I thought the food (vegan plan) was only OK (not nearly enough veggies in the vegan meals - WAY too many grains relative to veggies - and the food just didn't taste very good) and the amount of packaging in the shipments was concerning. (They don't reuse the packaging, and it comes with styrofoam and 6 gel ice packs.) Delivery on a Friday night at 8pm also was inconvenient. But the continually wrong orders and the unprofessional customer service is what ultimately led me to cancel my membership. It's a shame, as I really thought this service was going to be amazing. read more

This service is amazing if you know what you need to do to lose weight. We did ala cart for around 2 months after I had our third baby. With three little ones under age 5 I had zero time to cook or meal prep but desperately needed to lose weight. I started out counting macros but found that after a few weeks using trifecta to make simple, yummy meals I didn't even need to count because my meals always fit well within my macro/calorie goals, with plenty of margin for a few treats every day. I lost 16 lbs doing this and didn't feel deprived. The plain meat ala cart can get boring so have toppings on hand, depending on your calorie allowance. Bbq sauce, hot sauce, a small sprinkle of cheese etc. We did have a few issues with missing items but always got a quick refund. The website is a bit confusing but customer service is awesome and the food is delicious (for dieting anyway). Highly recommend if you are counting macros but don't have time to cook. read more

This food is one of the best prepped meal options I've had yet. I really value not having to cook for myself and the fact that this food is healthy, organic, and tasty is amazing. I've been purchasing food from this company for about a month now and I am pleased to say I've yet to have come across any problems. If you're trying to eat good food but are too busy to make it, this is the best option out there! :) I would definitely recommend to a friend. read more

I have ordered the vegetarian meals for 4 months now and I absolutely Love them. I have ordered from other meals services in the past, good food as well, but high in sodium and VERY limited vegetarian options. I have very few repeats of meals in my shipments (occasionally 2 of the same, which I don't mind and just space them out from one another). I love that in almost 4 months I do not end up with the same meals week after week, and of the ~100 meals I have received I have only disliked 2-3 meals (I am not a picky eater). Very low sodium in pretty much every meal, which is great, but I do find myself adding just a bit of salt & pepper to most meals, personal preference, but very happy to do so rather than have it loaded down to start. I do added an extra protein to some meals and my goal is a bit higher than the average veggie meal, but I just keep some veggie sausage/chick'n/burger and such on hand and toss it in as needed. I definitely recommend the vegetarian meal plan for people who want a healthy vegetarian option and don't want to spend hours meal prepping every week. read more

My husband takes these meals to work for lunch. He likes the convenience, but I'll confess to swiping them when I don't have time to cook - I find the proteins particularly well cooked and simplifying (no need to shop for meat/fish, worry about it going bad before I have a chance to cook it, etc). As a busy mom, I appreciate that the meals are clean (whole foods, incredibly low processed, no weird chemicals in there) and that my young kids will eat them. I've been particularly impressed with the salmon (tender) -the one with mushrooms (so much flavor) and mashed potatoes is delicious. The ice packs stay mostly frozen and the meals are quite cold even if the FedEx guy leaves the box in the sun. If there was a a 4.5 star, I'd knock off a half for mildly annoying plastic wrap, but I guess that also attests to my eagerness to get in there. Kudos to this company for keeping baddies out of easy-to-eat meals! read more

I get the paleo meal plan. Meals are spiced well, but follow the same old "formula" of steamed vegetables and a piece of meat; this can get old. I find myself cancelling weeks because the meals can get tiring. Sometimes the meat is ground. I find those ones especially and the shrimp dishes to be light on the meat. I did contact customer service about one of the ground meat meals and they said since it is ground, it is hard to tell how much meat is in there (I'm pretty sure in that dish I got skimped on the meat.) The meals are typically filling, but since mostly vegetables, I find I get hungry faster. The shrimp dish only comes with six small to medium size shrimps, which, for me, is not very much. The meals are convenient, though, due to my schedule and inability to make healthy home cooked meals as often as I like. I really like that they are all organic. Sometimes there is a vast difference between the weight of the meals; they can range from 10 oz to 20 oz. Do not get if you do not like zucchini. It seems to come in every single meal. I have honestly never had so much zucchini in my life. The packages are difficult and awkward to open, although I do like that they come vacuum sealed and last awhile in the fridge. read more
