I have been subscribed for 6 weeks. 5 of those weeks my deliveries were delayed from 2 days to 5 days. No solution or goodwill was presented, just "sorry" and move on. I understand things happen, but this happened 90% of the time, this is the definition of poor service. This is the most expensive meal prep service on the market. I have used homechef and freshly, both companies have far superior service and less of a cost. Food quality is equal as well. It makes no sense to join trifecta. I'm leaving it at one star, because I still have a conflict with their business practices, and my experience still stands. I think everyone should still know of the way they conduct themselves, and what you are in for as a customer. However, only after leaving a review did their manager reach out, both by phone and email, asking for my "feedback" - even though I had already provided all of that to the agent that called me to discuss my issues on the phone, and to tell me there was nothing she could do. I told their manager than there needs to be more empowerment provided to their agents, as it should never have reached this point, and that they need to seriously overhaul the way they communicate (or her word "miscommunicate") with their customers. There should not be a procedural flaw that makes it so that a customer does not receive crucial updates. And why should that fall on the customer, if so? Anyway. We did reach a resolution, and she seemed willing to listen, although, I still won't order from them in the future. For the portions, I got, for the lack of the customization (especially on the keto menu, the newer menu she said), and the digestion problems I had, on top of my experience, I would definitely not give them repeat business. read more

I really, really, really wanted to like Trifecta. I even wrote a positive four star review after having the first meal. I erased that and am writing this. I'm canceling the program after the first week of meals, and throwing out what I have not eaten. As others noted, you have to pay for the meals one week in advance, so if you don't like the service, you're already prepaid for the next week. The first meal was good -- lime cilantro shrimp. Then I wrote a positive review. It was all downhill from there. I had the salmon dinner resulting in severe stomach pains for two days. When that resolved, I tried another shrimp dinner and was up half of last night with gastrointestinal issues. I nuked these meals until they were piping hot so whatever was in them survived even that. I tried a few chicken dishes but whatever rice or starch was included is a dry clumpy mess even though the chicken piece itself was decent. The "beef enchilada" is just crumbled burger and greasy, on top of a soft (wet) flour taco. For the same or less, I can go to the supermarket and buy a week of frozen Amy's bowls or even get take out from many restaurants (which seemed expensive before but not compared to $15/meal for this). I got a call yesterday from a service rep who had read my four star yelp review and wanted to address some of my complaints. That seemed like a decent start. But he said he'd email me his contact info for any further issues and I got nothing. He added credit for the salmon debacle - good. I hadn't yet had the shrimp explosion so he didn't know about that. I have credit pending on my account because they sent me some wrong meals (2 paleos that were crumbled hamburger when I am on the clean plan), plus the salmon dinner that caused problems. Since I"m canceling, they are not going to refund that credit to me and on top of it I'm already paid on two full weeks of meals and only ate about 6 of the 14 in the first shipment. Expensive mistake. Trifecta is an awesome concept. From a scientific standpoint it must not be easy to prepare food in a way that it stays fresh and hydrated enough to be appetizing on reheating days later. Whether it's frozen or refrigerated. Also, Trifecta is sending recipes that are just plain gross like plain, underseasoned and greasy crumbled beef - why not just send a hamburger? It would be ok to send a bun separately and only have us heat part of the meal and assemble it after. Trifecta's issues show me why the "meal kit boxes" are more popular because those result in fresh cooked meals if you have time to do the work. Reheating a cooked and vacuum sealed meal days later is not comparable - yet. read more

I came on here to leave a 5 star review and was surprised to see there are people who rated 1 star! Honestly I love this company. I have IBS and dealt with leaky gut for over a year, I fixed it with very restrictive eating and eventually found trifecta. For someone as picky as me with food, THEY GET THE JOB DONE. I usually add more veggies to the Keto plan so one meal is two servings for me. Their customer service is also great. If I were to give feedback I would say I'd like more options to add allergies (for example tomatoes really hurt my stomach but they are not under their short allergy list). And also I'd have less freezer packs or make them more environmentally friendly. Other than that, the food tastes delicious and the prices are very reasonable. read more

I have tried a few of the meal prep companies and I have to say Trifecta has the best meals. I was able to get seafood only paleo and the meals are so tasty. Their customer service is really great Kenzie Rigney is always on top of all my orders and when there have been mistakes she has corrected them right away. Starting my 3rd week with Trifecta. Meals have been great, and it's super convenient to just heat and go. I've tried a number of meal kit companies and most are really high in cals and sodium. Not with Trifecta. Everything is not only healthy but very tasty. There is even an app that you can track your food and it will figure out your macros and cals for you. Customer service is fabulous. Before I ordered, they sent me a promo code. It wasn't working, and when I contacted customer service they responded right away and were able to help. When I went back to order, there was a special that you get free meat each week with your delivery. While this might be great for some, I'm a vegetarian. I couldn't remove this promo from my cart. Again, I contacted customer service and they said I could have either free beyond burger patties or cinnamon bread. And I could swap anytime! I thought that was awesome. This week, they sent me a wrong breakfast item, but quickly credited my account. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I wish we could choose meals on the vegetarian plan. Also, I wish we had an option to choose the delivery date. Friday typically works, but in a couple of weeks I'm going out of town. Other companies give you the option to reschedule to a different day. Since Trifecta doesn't do that, and I don't want my food sitting in the lobby for 4 days, I'll have to skip that week. BUT, good news is that it is super easy to skip and change your subscription. Definitely recommend giving them a try if you are looking for something tasty, healthy, and convenient. read more

I will never use this company again. My first shipment was one day late; By the end of my first week, 2 meals were slimy. The second shipment was short by seven meals, ruining macro count for that week. The third week, I contacted them 3 times Sunday through Wednesday to cancel any further shipments. With no response I needed to call on the fourth day to cancel because I was not happy with missing meals, slimy food and service and explained that I was not even home to get shipment. They claimed that they never received any contact from me (I have sent email), they refused to stop shipment and processed the payment. When speaking with Trifecta rep, she agreed to refund for missing meals ($70) only but refused to stop shipment or take a return. Now I have all of this food that I am not interested in having and taking up valuable space. A miserable $600 experience. read more

I guess they don't need new customers. My gut told me this is not the place for me to do business. Almost all of the reviews I read tonight prove that following your gut is always best. I admit I am busy and just don't have time to cook at times, and then I chose the wrong choices! I have tried soo many food delivery services, and admit I am super picky. But, this food has been simply amazing! I have been so impressed that I've spread the word to my other healthcare workers and gym friends. The only thing i haven't really cared for is the chicken thighs and wings, only because I only like white meat, but I've pushed through the meal because it wasn't bad. The only downfall is the carrier, FedEx, hence my 4 stars. I don't know what is going on, but needless to say they have been horrendous. The delivery is never on time, may or may not put my food in the fridge provided at my apt complex, the find it sitting out days later, and they have taken my food back after a few days while in the fridge (yes there was plenty of room on there). The box provided when being shipped is about to disintegrate once I receive it, but it may be due to FedEx not giving a crap or the fact that i get my delivery all the way to GA. BUT, I must say the customer service at Trifecta has been simply amazing! Every person I have encountered has been nice, caring, and strive to make it all right. And, you actually get to speak with a person if you call; if you email, i have received a response by the end of the day or sooner (depending when i send it). Other than my frustration of FedEx, you guys rock! I know after speaking with them yesterday they are doing their best to fix the FedEx issue. In a nut shell, if you are looking for a healthy option for a busy person on the go and trying to track calories etc...this is your best option! Top Notch Meal Prep Company! I've used a few meal prep companies and they have been ok. I was turned on to Trifecta via a referral and have no desire to stop service...EVER. I'm in Florida and they overnight my food Thursdays and it's waiting for me Friday normally around 11. I'm not Vegan but I struggle eating as much protein as I need for my journey and so I went with Vegan prep. It is so delicious! There is a FB page which is great for support and questions. It helps to bring the community factor to an online company (at least for me in my area) and everyone is like minded so it is extremely helpful. Customer service is top notch. I've had to inquire about a couple of things and never had a bad experience. These guys are great! Give them a try! read more

I like the food (I order clean) but twice I have not received my monthly order ... last 18 months...this month without explanation. I could understand why some customers wouldn't like the new menu- it is very spicy but I enjoy spicy. I did get a refund for the two months () but I feel sorry they can't find reliable delivery help. I had a delivery scheduled for this Friday (its Monday) and had some unfortunate circumstances come up that made me have to take an emergency trip and wont be in town to receive the delivery. I call customer support for assistance and was told because I didn't call a WEEK in advance there is nothing they can do and my package will be delivered anyway. That is a HORRIBLE way to do business and wont be getting any from me as I look to one of there competitors for a better experience. Judging by the many bad reviews on the poor taste and quality of the food it looks like I made the right choice by canceling the subscription all together. Trifecta Nutrition meal plans. My wife and I are a busy working couple, so we wanted to see what all this hype was about with these meal plans. After I did some research, I chose Trifecta. They were offering a 30% discount so 2 meal plans for 7 days fell into our $250/wk budget. Sounds great right? Vegan food, 100% organic. All biodegradable or recyclable shipping containers etc. Well we were very excited at the prospect of having all our meals planned for, shopped for, prepped and cooked to save a lot of time. Well, as promised the packages arrived in all freezer packed boxes and each meal in a vacuum sealed container. It looks great, organized and as promised with all of the ingredients and caloric info on the package. I watched a video on how to best reheat your food and we tried the broiling method. 15mins. We heated our vegan food in the oven for 15 mins and took our first bites...Hmmm...kind of bland, right? Well I added several splashes of hot sauce to give it some taste. Wifey was not impressed. You have to cancel a week in advance to stop the service. We were not impressed after our first meal so I emailed the next day on Saturday to cancel. No one responded. I e mailed again on Sunday twice. No Response. After 2 more phone calls on Monday, I finally got a reply. You guessed it. We are stuck paying for another week of this food at regular prices which is about $100 more per week so $350. Did I mention that the meals are at max 500 calories, most are under that and avg 350 calories. How can you survive on that? Lol. I fast in the am for breakfast until noon but even with a 500 calorie meal and a 400 calorie meal I am only at 900 calories. I am cutting weight but I still need 1700 calories. If you're thinking of getting a meal plan, Trifecta apparently is the largest one in the country and probably the most economical. The food looks good and is cooked well, but is lacking flavor. I would not recommend them unless you are ok with bland tasting food and only getting 500 calories a day for $25/meal. When I told them I cancelled the order the next day, they said they couldn't stop the process because it is all automated so we have to pay the full $350/wk for another week and each this bland tasting food. I am not one to complain, or make reviews but this experience left a bad taste in my mouth. PUN INTENDED. Cancelling my order and not charging for an extra week would have prevented this negative review, but when you provide a meh product and then force me to continue. I am not ok with that. I did the Keto plan and while I was optimistic about this service and for $15 per meal you would expect high quality... That is not the case. The food is not great, minimal fresh veggies lots of ground beef and re-purposed hamburger patties, clearly they are trying to maximize profit and quality suffers... You can only do so much to change a hamburger patty. I do appreciate their limited use of plastic in the packaging and the app was cool. read more

This is the only meal prep that will deliver to Alaska and they've been great to work with. The paleo meal plan has been by far my favorite. Very tasty and varying meals, clearly they have an awesome chef team. Their customer service has been great when dealing with unexpected issues such as shipping delays due to factors outside their control. I will continue to keep my fridge and freezer with Trifecta high quality highly ethically sourced meals. First I'd like to start off with customer service. I had Tried to cancel my subscription twice and had 2 boxes randomly show up at my door. The second box was fully refunded which is great and I appreciate that. As for food quality, this is based on my preference, I did not like anything in the paleo diet. The meals--I've been getting the vegetarian plan--are delicious--in fact, I've liked almost every one, so not getting to select specific ones, as is the case for the plan I have, has not been a problem. The one time I had a delivery problem (not Trifecta's fault), customer service was wonderfully helpful. They've made some great new changes that resulted in my receiving my meals sooner, in better containers, with more eco-friendly ice packs, and with more variety. The food DOES NOT taste good and horrible customer service. I wanted to try them out since they promise a money back guarantee if you're not completely satisfied with your first order. After trying three different meals, I couldn't eat more than a couple of bites. So, I emailed their customer service and explained to them that I unfortunately was not enjoying the meals and would like a refund. They ended up giving me a refund for only the 3 meals that I tried after informing them that I didn't have the appetite to even eat the rest of them, after losing my appetite on the first 3 attempts. I wanted to cancel my subscription as well, obviously. However, they charged me for a second box and ending up shipping it while I was out of town so the box just sat there all weekend after asking to cancel my subscription. The most upsetting part about all of this is the wasted food at this point! One of the reasons I wanted to try this service was to have less food waste. Very frustrating. So, after emailing them a third time about wanting a refund as well as an end to my subscription, another representative emailed me back saying that they could handle this over the phone. After giving them my phone number and letting them know to call me at their convenience, it's been two days and I haven't heard anything AND I've been charged a third time and sent a third box which I don't want to eat! I emailed them to let them know that I contacted my bank to dispute these transactions since at this point, I feel as if this is fraud. I'll start with the positives - the cinnamon almonds were probably the best things on the menu for me. I also ordered chicken, bison, turkey, walnut bread, sweet potatoes, and they send free beef patties with each order. Oh boy do I regret wasting my money! The chicken was so dry that I had to drench it hot sauce just to get it to go down my throat. The bison, beef, turkey were the same! SO dry, so tasteless! The sweet potatoes were so gross there's no other way to describe them. Bread..dry! I thought I was saving time/money by ordering from them but I could barely get myself to eat any of this food... OH the worst part... I GOT RIPPED OFF! All the patties are supposed to be 4oz. Most were about 3.5oz, 3.6oz, I was lucky if I got a 4.0oz patty! The walnut bread is supposed to be 175g per serving so 2 loaves is 350g, and they delivered roughly 260! Maybe they thought people don't measure? But I track macros so I wanted to still weigh it and see if it was accurate lol clearly not. Overall. I don't recommend Trifecta - website & employees are misleading. read more
