Very disappointing. The Paleo food from the first week looked like dog food and tasted like stew. The Clean30 Plan was slightly better only it contained mushy rice and either looked liked a side dish or more stew. The meals lack color, texture and flavor. Lots of ground meat or shrimp. ANY frozen dinner in the grocery store would taste better. They refunded 7 of the 10 meals from my first week. They shorted me 3 meals the second week and refunded that. The third week was more garbage...some of which I will throw away yet again. The food never looked like any pic on the Trifecta site. This was a complete waste of money. I appreciate the partial refund. The only good thing was the packing. The food was mostly frozen and the ice packs contain plant food. read more

Trifecta seems like a great way to have meals delivered and like a good nutrition for someone, however I do not recommend this company! First of all, their customer service is terrible. I have contacted them by email and have had no response. I asked them to please skip my meals for this week, and I just received an email that my meals will be delivered today. In addition to this, I then asked for my account to be canceled. I have had no response from anyone. I also have tried "chatting with a human" and have also had no response. The chat box just keeps loading and no one is logged on. To conclude, this company is a SCAM! By not allowing me to cancel my subscription, they are forcing myself and their customers to continue to pay for a service that I do not want! DO NOT get sucked into Trifecta. Not a fan of Trifecta and after three orders (one unwanted), I have canceled my plan. Food: A Trifecta meal is what Nutraloaf is to prison inmates. You don't have a choice, and while it does meet all your daily nutritional requirements, one could argue that it violates the Eighth Amendment as a cruel and unusual punishment. I ordered the keto plan and the meals are so boring, the portions are small, and they only vaguely taste like what they say they are. The Mexican bowl and the beef stroganoff, for example, are the same ground beef served with mushrooms and other veggies, with no difference in flavor. The fish, aside from the salmon, was dry and flavorless. If you love mushy olives, mushrooms, and tomatoes served in every meal next to your bland protein, Trifecta is for you. Ordering: Unlike other meal services, Trifecta does NOT notify you when it's preparing your next order, only when the meals have already shipped. So after I skipped several weeks, I was shocked to see an email that my food was on it's way and $108 had been charged to my credit card. Unfortunately, now it's too late to do anything about it... but that's what they wanted. Subscription: Any company that makes you call to cancel is shit. Plain and simple. Calling people is the worst. You should be able to cancel your subscription the same way you signed up for it - ONLINE. But nope, try looking online and you'll find nothing. The online chat box is useless - no one ever comes on to help you, and it's just overall a hassle to cancel. I called and got my subscription canceled after being offered a discount on my next order if I reconsidered. I didn't. (See: Food). Cost: $15 per meal?? We love Trifecta! We live near the Seattle area and get weekly deliveries. We have been using them for months now and have nothing but awesome things to say about trifecta. As an avid macro counter mg family and I were in a terrible meal planning rut. Same thing day in day out and it was causing a lot of food jags. we get the paleo meals for weekday lunches and it so fun to get new meals weekly. We've also been doing the protein aka carts for quick weekday meals. I hate hate cooking fish and their salmon is amazing. There have been a few delivery delays or wrong orders. Even a funky meal, all was quickly refunded. No problems, their customer service is always super fast and nice. Shout out to Emily and Devon. Bland bland bland and unimaginative. Did I mention bland? For this price point it's super disappointing how haphazard these meals are thrown together. Zero finesse and no flavor. Also the pile of styrofoam that comes with this meal delivery is shameful. Especially in a time when biodegradable and compostable materials are readily available. I ordered the plant based line and got 14 meals of chickpeas! Is that really all you guys got for plant based? Who wants to eat chickpeas for breakfast lunch and dinner? I would have to move into my own place from all the gas and bloating that would cause. I don't recommend these meals if you are vegan or wanting to try plant based meals. I've tried Trifecta for about a month now and I would say it's pretty good. The food is delivered on time and packaged nicely, and the options are pretty tasty overall. Pros: Awesome customer service - you can message or call someone and get to a live person right away. Good food options, tasty and fresh and good portions. Cons: Pretty expensive, but you have to factor in the delivery and food costs. Some of the food options are a bit more on the salty side. This is the first time I have ordered food from Trifecta. I was very skeptical because of where I live. I live in Cold Bay Alaska, located on the Aleutian chain. I didn't think the food would arrive on time and in good condition. I have ordered food from Anchorage stores before only to be disappointed beyond belief, so hence my hesitation to invest in this venture. I am livid. I should have read the reviews for this company prior. My first box was delivered to the wrong building and I immediately canceled because I wasn't going to go through this again. It had happened with another delivery service. I thought the food was still ok and I ate the walnut pesto salmon. I got sick that night and had to throw out the entire box. Every meal had roasted cauliflower- even the breakfasts. Don't get me wrong. I don't dislike cauliflower, but I had no choice. As well I'm not a fan of shellfish. Fast forward to two weeks later. I canceled my subscription the night after receiving my first box. It shows on my billing canceled is highlighted and they charged my account again. Notice how cancellation is highlighted? I have to own that I didn't screengrab the cancellation number. The real kicker - my first 3 weeks of meals were supposed to be discounted. I had postponed the next two weeks to see if the bad reviews were honest. M Save your money and save your GI system. I hate being that nagging complainer. But this really sucked. Trifecta is expensive so I want to review for others. My trainer recommended this and many of his other clients like it. I see here that it did work for some folks. For me, (I ordered Paleo) the quality of the food, in particular the meat, but also the vegetables was just not okay. After four days of eating (during election week) I felt sick and did a week of mostly veggies and juice to get my stomach back. It was just too big a portion of protein and too little vegetables overcooked. That being said, the protein definitely kept your hunger down. I was very upset that I had to call to cancel -- in the age of the internet, this is ridiculous. I had emailed two times and had not received confirmation of cancellation and literally was about to call the better business bureau but the person who I got on the phone both gave me a fairly hefty refund and had really good customer skills. I appreciated that. This service was sadly not for me, I'm using Sun Basket which I find delicious (although you have to cook some of it). And yes, as an environmentalist, the amount of packaging, especially all that styrofoam was just a mess. read more

I've tried Trifecta twice and the service is convenient and the food is organic and healthy. The food isnt frozen which I like that a lot and not filled with a bunch of preservatives either. Both times I chose the Paleo option. I do appreciate that Trifecta has different meal options for different diets. I had a few services issues and I did get quick responses each time via email and over the phone. Unfortunately the first initial customer service reps were very technical meaning they only focused on their operations "how it is" vs how it came a crossed to me as a customer. Because I wasn't happy with their service I placed a pause on my reoccurring order to think it over before I cancelled my account completely. When I finally decided to cancel I called in and spoke to Will Helm. He was patient and listened. He "heard" me and he was very understanding. Before he went ahead to cancel my account as I requested, he informed me some changes that had occurred to make Trifecta even better. I gave it a thought and chose to give it another chance because of Will. I gave it another try and there was a slight hiccup which Will took care of right away. After I was done with the meals I ordered I still decided to cancel my account because I just didn't care for their existing menu all that much. I do like everything else about the service like I mentioned at the beginning but as of right now it isn't for me. I may return one day simply because Will has great customer service skills compared to the other reps I dealt with earlier who came a crossed snotty and weren't interested in hearing what I had to say. Because of Will, I'm giving this rating a 4 star. Otherwise my review would have been very different and rate a 2 star because of the poor customer service initially. The product and service may be good but it's the people that makes the difference. Eventually there will be other competitors and whoever has the better customer service will win the customer base. Being a provider working swing shifts, email sometimes get missed. I missed my delivery notification and read it 6 days later post call. I saw my package in the mail room and informed trifecta as well as skipping my next delivery which was the next day. Will H. was my agent. He explained to me that deliveries are canceled 7 days prior and the recent delivery isn't for consumption anymore. Although, my current delivery cannot be canceled, as a courtesy, he refunded my last delivered meals. He answered my inquiries promptly and professionally. I was very much looking forward to having organic, pre-made meals a few nights a week when work ran long. But the meals are sub-par and after two I threw the rest away. Both my husband and I had rumbling, upset tummies after the two meals we did eat and couldn't bring ourselves to eat more. The meals shown on their website look nothing like what arrives at your doorstep. One of the chicken dinners we had the vegetables were unidentifiable (except we think the orange things were carrots). Not only is it poor quality, they make their opt-out time a week in advance so that I hadn't even been able to taste my first meal before they had already charged my card for the next week. Every meal I've purchased has upset my girlfriend and I stomach. No matter what meal we've tried each and every single one never felt right and almost always made us feel uneasy. I recommend you only try for a week so you don't have the same experience we've had. We still got charged for the next week even though we have issues with our food! Found the food to be quite mediocre and cause heartburn. Also I intended to just do a week as a test but they hit me for a second week, emailing when it was coming and not letting me cancel it! Very shady and a bait and switch. I would look at other places, very unimpressed. This is the most tasty of any meal preps we've used. We live in the DC area and after my wife went back to work I decided to try to find a meal prep service to reduce our work load. I can not express how happy I am with the quality. We have a convection oven and every meal takes 8-9 minutes. We are doing Keto as I was seriously injured in Afghanistan early on and am dealing with the long term pain after 16 years post destruction . I contacted today asking for promotions to share with others with whom I work and Kenzie went above and beyond sending me promotions I'll pass along to the folks I've been bragging to about how much I enjoy the meals. Our first week of ordering I must not have been wearing my glasses and input one digit off on our address and the order could not be delivered. I contacted Trifecta and spoke to Austin. He immediately corrected my address and sent us a whole new order for free (Austin, I hope I don't get you hammered). Trifecta used to be good but I don't know what happened. We took a break from them for about 8 months and decided to order again this past week. The food and packaging has completely changed. We ordered 20 meals (2 per day for 2 of us) and so far we couldn't finish any of them because they were either mush or tasted horrible. The new packaging is horrible and leaks through the bottom. I am sitting on a 48 hr Shift (military) in which I cannot leave to get food. Unfortunately I've been living off of lifesavers, corn chips, tea, water, and breakfast I cooked because I haven't been able to stomach the meals I brought with me to work. What makes it worse is they already charged me for this current week. So now we will have to pray our next batch of meals taste like something, otherwise that's $564 down the drain in two weeks!! All the meals I have received thus far have been very tasty, nutritious and easy to heat up quickly by microwave or oven. I received my food on Friday and the dinner I ate on Tuesday gave me food poisoning. I was vomiting violently from 10 PM till almost 3 AM. Today is Thursday and I am still sick. All of the food came in containers that were not vacuumed sealed and one was even open a little. They tell you the food is good for seven days which is insane. Even the salmon they said would last for seven days. The breakfast eggs were liquid eggs and not real eggs. I have written to the company and I have still not heard anything. I'm a new Trifecta customer. I strive to eat healthy. I typically prepare my own meals. However, in an effort to save myself some time, I've decided to accept some meal prep help as a 2024 New Year gift to myself. Again, I'm new, so there's not much history for me to reflect on...but, so far, so good. I chose the keto meal plan. I track macros. I'm not "really" eating a strict keto diet; however, I struggle to stay within my carb allotment (i.e. if I eat how I want to, I over-eat carbs)...by ensuring I eat at least one low carb meal each day, I have a bit more flexibility when planning my other two meals. Each entree is clearly labeled with nutrition information (protein, carbs, fat, fiber, calories, etc.), so adding the meal to my macro app is super easy. My order arrived on exactly the day Trifecta said it would. I ordered 7 entrees, they were packed in a box with dry ice, very cold/frozen upon arrival, and delivered by FedEx. The entrees are vacuum sealed. I store in the freezer, move an entree to fridge to thaw the night before, and then reheat in a skillet on stovetop. You can microwave but they recommend stovetop for best quality. Meals taste fresh and delicious and I love that they are prepared using organic ingredients. You can choose to select your own meals or choose to have the chef select for you. I let the chef pick, I like to be surprised (I'm not a picky eater). I recently noticed that Trifecta is currently offering a promotion for new customers. I'm not new, I've placed a few orders...but still, I'm newer. There was no promotion being offered when I first signed up. I emailed Trifecta, I asked if they would honor the promo for me, even though I don't exactly qualify. Kenzie R responded quickly to my message, she said, "no problem, promo has been applied to your account!" Overall, as first impressions go, I'm impressed. The price if fair, the food is healthy and appetizing, the service is good...and I LOVE the time this little gift to myself is saving me. read more

My experience has been incredible with Trifecta thus far! I originally ordered just the a la cart classic meals and although they were exactly what I was going for in regards to direct and to the point meals with out much additions such as sodium, I eventually opted for Clean meals. Clean meals provide more variety and flavor while still being well balanced, well portioned meals. This saves me so much time and I look forward to all my meals. If I were to calculate the amount of time it would take for me to make a grocery list, go to the store, by all I need and then meal prep 10 meals for the week, it would prove to not be worth the time when a company like Trifecta exists. I've compared their meals to other brands and Trifecta is one of the only companies to get it right. Low sodium content in most of their meals while having a nice balance of macro nutrients. With my heavy work schedule this has truly made my life much more productive and healthy! I had one small issue with missing a meal and Kenzie from their team was right on it and immediately apologized and refunded. In addition to that, they have an amazing promotion where they give you free 1lb of chicken for the life of your subscription and Kenzie was able to get that approved for me as well! So awesome, this will definitely help my gains!! I read other reviews about the sustainability and packaging. To those complaining, you are saving at least 5-10 hours of time a week by having Trifecta meal prep, so why complain about having to spend 5 minutes to recycle the packaging responsibly. I just got my first meal delivery last Friday, here is my experience with Trifecta : I paid for two weekly meal plans, one is paleo, another one is vegetarian. I only got my vegetarian meals on Friday, when I asked them where is my other package, ends up they forgot to send me the paleo meal plan, they said the kitchen will send the package on Saturday, it will be same-day delivery. It didn't come, I emailed and called them on Saturday afternoon, nobody picks up the phone, nobody tells me why they only sent me half of the items I ordered, instead they just keep telling me it will come soon. I'm a busy person who doesn't have time to cook but ends up I spent more time trying to coordinate with their service department to find my missing meals. Updates: I received my missing meal today, Jan 26th, the Tuesday. after talked to five persons in the past three days. I still missed one meal and received 4 wrong meals(lunch/dinner instead of breakfast). All of our food covered with dark red liquid. - they said they are ink runoff from the label. The good thing is their food service manager contact me and my husband after this happened, they apologized and gave us part of refund for the unsatisfied package. But what we need the most is not the money but the quality food and good service, honest and tell the truth to your customer! read more

Trifecta food was barely palatable and incredibly bland. Everything was watery and dry at the same time and absolutely flavorless. You don't have the ability to pick your meals so I got a mix of some things that looked nice (curry salmon) and some things that looked like $1 of sad cafeteria food (2 chicken wings and frozen vegetable medley for $13 are you kidding me). The mix and variety are surely how they make their money, but I'm definitely not buying again without the ability to pick my meals. The packaging is styrofoam and plastic and the trays are so hard to get open that you have to use a scissor - the opposite of easy. Also the meals just don't look fresh or appetizing. In the pics you can see sad looking turkey meatloaf, sad chicken drumsticks (2! Lol?) and then a nice looking patty (beef?) so it's really all over the place. Also, you have to order minimum 10 meals so you are really committed when you try it. Then, they make it impossible to cancel your subscription online! But don't worry.. they'll charge you. However, the 2 stars in this review are for the GREAT customer service. The agent was empathetic, apologetic and so wonderful. She helped me cancel my order and tried to bring me back with a nice offer. I went into the conversation feeling so angry and frustrated and left slightly better. Right now, I'm currently on the fence. The Vegetarian and Vegan options seem VERY lack-luster. Small portions, very low calories and very low protein. When I saw Trifecta was for athletes (or at least generally active people), I expected more calories and more protein. The Brown Rice and Orange Broccoli meal is super tasty but, again, very small. The Vegan Alfredo with Broccoli was a super disappointment. There was zero sauce, and zero flavor. Just mushy pasta and broccoli. A few of the meals with more protein feature tofu, which is great, but it looks like an uncooked slab with some seasoning on top. Again, some of the meals are very tasty. While others look to be a complete afterthought in order to check off the "Vegan/Vegetarian demographic". I would love to see higher protein & calorie meals with a little more thought put into higher protein ingredients (unless Trifecta is only targeting those who are trying to lose weight). I have a few more meals to go through so we'll see how it goes. read more

Very disappointed. Do not trust advertising and the athletes that promote it. My boyfriend ordered the clean meal plan which is 7 breakfasts and 7 lunches/dinner for $207.06. When we got the order it had 7 peaches and cream oatmeal for breakfast. They put on their website a sample menu which had a least 3 or 4 different meals per breakfast and lunch. So we were very dissapointed to find 7 of the same meals which we couldve made ourselves. $14.79 per oatmeal whith terrible quality and taste. See picture. As for the other meals, the quality was not what you see in pictures from these athletes and on their websites.
