I have been on a food and coffee tour in SD this week & Trident was my third coffee shop to try. The menu is incredible, so hard to choose what drink to try. Paige L and Drew were a big help in picking out a hot and cold option. We tried the Cognitive Mushroom latte and the New Orleans Cold Foam Cold Brew! Best experience so far, we will be back to try more! read more

Recently started to visit Trident on my breaks at work and love their coffee. My usual is an iced Americano, but have picked up cold brew a few times and am a huge fan. Have also picked up a few bags of Trident and Dam The Torpedos to make my own cold brew at home. The decoration inside is very cool, and so many things to look at while you're waiting for your drink. Baristas are always friendly and knowledgeable about their different types of blends and drinks read more

Trident has brought their great Nitro Cold Brewed Coffee to Coronado with some great baked good too! They offer a great range of cold brews form light to dark, including decaf as well. There on the premise bakery offers Keto and Vegan baked goods consisting of donuts, muffins, bagels, and a unique cinnamon rolls. It's a small shop with limited seating out side on the sidewalk, but they have a lot of good stuff to offer. Very good friendly service. I like the way they take the time to go over all their products. read more

My wife and I live in La Mesa but had to stop by Coronado and since we were in town, couldn't help but pop into Trident. We were overjoyed to not only discover all of their Gluten Free options but their health-minded coffee options too! Dana and Hannah were both at the height of their powers, with Dana being extremely quick/efficient with our order and Hannah being an absolute delight to speak with. We got the Blackberry Cobbler latte, a Collagen latte, a chocolate donut and a jalapeño cheddar bagel. The coffee was smooth and tasty and the pastries were delicious (without being too sweet)! Great food, coffee, and service. We'll definitely be coming back to Coronado to see them again. read more

Had the iced vietnamnese speciality coffee with charcoal. It was weak and alright. Given the price I would order it again.

Ana was very helpful. Amazing service. Coffee was spectacular! Coffee is absolutely incredible!

I'll first say that the people working behind the counter are great. They give amazing service 10/10 on that. Okay, I'm a classic cafe drink girl. Every now and then I'll change it up with something fun, but 98% of the time I get a classic drink. No extra items in it - no flavors, no sweetener. I don't go to Trident very often, but when I do and I'm sipping on my drink on my way back to my car I question why I keep ordering from them. The lattes and flat whites I get are always sour and very acidic. The iced mocha I had the first time I ordered Trident was lacking flavor. I don't know what's up. Is it just me? Or is it the roast? I really want to like this place because it's local and veteran owned, but I t falls short for me. read more

Trident Coffee specialises in nitro cold brew coffees. Each of them has a unique name (reference to Navy) and flavours. They are on tap so you can order your cold brew and get it right away. Whether you get a light or dark roast, their cold brews are flavourful, very smooth and not bitter at all. I've been here few times and their staff have been always friendly. They have locations in Coronado and Imperial Beach. So if you are in the area, you should definitely try Trident Coffee. read more

Adorable little coffee shop along the main drag in Coronado! I tried a cortado, my new go-to coffee shop drink. It was rich and delicious. I sat outside sipping, reading, and watching the sights. I recommend stopping in if you're strolling through Coronado and love fresh roasted coffee. read more

The Mexican Mocha didn't hit but the Midnight Vietnamese sure did! Lots of unique options to choose from. The place is pretty small with very few seating so it's more of a grab-and-go type of joint in my opinion. read more

Had the turmeric latte and it was amazing! Anna was very sweet and provided great service! Love this place :)

Helpful service, including describing the drinks and bakery items. The most delicious gluten free protein donut!

After a long bike ride, we cruise into this place for some coffee and coffee cake. The coffee was good and they only had a gluten-free coffee cake. We weren't wildly excited about that but ordered it anyway. It actually tasted pretty good. There is outdoor and indoor seating available. Sitting outside is a great place to people watch. read more

Came in the shop to visit from LA, and was instantly greeted with a hello. Paige and Alec were very friendly and gave us the run down on the menu and popular items. I was impressed with all the on tap options for every palette. Also, they offer canned selections which is great for sharing to family and friends. Awesome coffee and better customer service! Trident Coffee - Son of a son of a sailor - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Coronado, California

The customer service was outstanding--friendly, welcoming, and full of great recommendations. We tried the seasonal macadamia nut drink, and it was an absolute 10/10. It struck the perfect balance of sweetness and flavor. We also had the lemon lavender donut, which was equally impressive. Moist, flavorful, and not overly sweet--it paired beautifully with the drink. Both seasonal items were a real treat! read more

Trident is the best quality around, come see Adrian and he will hook you up! Lots to choose from and you won't be disappointed!!

Cool coffee shop with clean drinks. So glad I found this place. Paige is the greatest!

Very nice customer service. Small venue with a few outdoor tables. Cold day so tried the caramel apple holiday latte. A bit unusual. Churro keto donut was good but they had no way to warm. I'll return to try what they are known for... nitro. read more

Just went to the new location in Pacific Beach and it did not disappoint! They have a variety of cold brew and coffee options and put a healthy twist on classic drinks. I got the Mexican mocha. It was very good but definitely very chocolatey/milkey. So if you aren't in the mood for a dessert drink I would opt for something else! However as a sweets lover, I thought it was great. We also tried the keto churro donut. The donut itself was pretty bland but the sugar on top helped. It is a great option if you are looking for a healthier donut, but personally I would probably just go for the real thing if I was in the mood for a donut again! The new location is also right by the beach so it's the perfect pit stop on your next morning walk:) read more

Trident Coffee - 6am coffee supremacy - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Coronado, California

Aquaman better watch out because I think the owner of this coffee shop, definitely stole his power of the trident. The nitro brew coffee here is a powerful and magical thing. There is a range of light, medium and dark roasts. If you don't know what to get, don't stress. The staff will totally help you out and even give you samples to try... Even if you're not a believer in the nitro brew coffee scene, I'd command a giant column of water and get one of these coffees in your hand ASAP. You'll feel like one dominant being. read more

Protein donuts. Great coffee. A sweet discount. I love this little café and the friendly people who work here!

First time at Trident, I was just in the area looking for coffee and come upon this spot. Cool & personable guy, Adrian, helped me out with which cold brew would suit my taste. They allow you to sample their nitro cold brews as well. They also have nitro cold brews that correspond with their specialty cold brews. Solid experience and I will definitely be coming back. Ended up with their Mexican Mocha, which corresponds with the Son of A Sailor. Amazing drink, cool worker, and a refreshing ambiance right next to the bay. read more
