My most recent visit was for a conditioning treatment and blow out with the J Beverly Hills Platinum line. The current promotion will get you a bag with 5 full size products to maintain your soft new main, tote bag, and J BH hairbrush. The repair and treatment service is $50 but if you want the bag of products, the current promo will get you both the treatment and bag for $168. The bag of products itself retails for $189. It's a great deal for this new line of Platinum from J BH. J Beverly Hills is just one line offered at Anneke's and it has never let me down. I love the stuff so I am always eager to try whatever new item they have out. Anneke's stylists aren't married to a certain line and will customize their recommendation to your needs, not their products. They do carry other lines as well; it's just me that is partial. I usually see Jen F, but this visit was with Ellen. Jen F has been my go stylist for years - from trims, to color, to special occasions (my wedding) and the after wedding chop. The treatment process with Ellen took about 45 mins and the results were fantastic! Ellen was very knowledge, pleasant and welcoming for my first time in her chair. I took along a girlfriend and we had a great experience. Even if you don't get a cut every month, this treatment is something we will consider getting regularly. Anneke's is a full service salon for women, men and children. Their website is very detailed. Check them out, and take a friend.

The girl who answered was very couteous and sounded friendly on the phone. She explained they usually only take appointments but would ask the stylists if they could fit me in. She put me on hold for a short second and came back to tell me they could fit me in at 4:30pm. This was really kind since I was technically a wall-in. My mom later decided she wanted a trim after finding out I was getting my hair done...and so she called the salon and they said the same girl ERIN could do her hair and she could come with me! So kind! We both have natural hair. My mom was looking for a wash and trim and I needed a wash and press. We got to the salon, it was beautifully decorated inside and the literally everyone inside said Hello to us when we walked in. They offered us compimentary coffee, water and tea which I thought was pretty nice since most salons don't. Erin got to work on both of us, working efficiently and explaining how much she cares about healthy hair care. She was gentle with my hair considering its extremely kinky 4C type. I loved my results. My hair was flowing, and beautifully curled! Everyone in the salon was friendly and the atmosphere was lively! It was a fun enviroment and the customer service was great. I will definitely be back and my hair now looks amazing for my birthday tomorrow!

I was so relieved, happy and ecstatic that it turned out so beautiful even after all the processing. Jaye gave me a small bottle of product to use free of charge to recover my hair from the processing that had been done in the short period of time and recommended a good shampoo and conditioner which I purchased from her. She produced a beautiful color, used amazing products on my hair and could comb right through it, didn't pull of it out leaving it on the floor like Renee and never burned me with the hair dryer. No explanation that they were running behind even though that was evident. My appt was with one person and that is who I thought was working on me because she never introduced herself to me when I got into the chair. I only found out that it was the owner working on me because someone said her name. I brought it up to her and she said well we swapped clients because I was running behind. Mind you this was after she was over half way done foiling my hair. I have no problem with this at all except I felt that it should of been brought to my attention when I got there or at least when I was called back. She was not real talkative in the beginning. Which I thought was strange because she is the owner ( even though I didn't know that at that time), but the ice got broken and we chatted it up. She did a good job on my hair. My hair needed it, it had been a long time since I had colored or cut my hair. I am not one to go to salons to get my hair done. I feel that they charge way to much money. I usually have a home based person doing my hair. I feel that if they kept their prices down then people would tip better. I'm talking about any salon here. So for me I was there for 2 1/2 hrs the place was clean not super busy which was actually nice. In the end had a good experience and would recommend this place to others. I live in Ann Arbor, but I have been getting my haircuts in Las Vegas for the past few years because I am continuously disappointed with the hair care offerings in Ann Arbor and it's surrounding areas. Tired of only getting my hair cut 3 times a year, I decided to give Grateful Dreads a try after reading the glowing reviews here. I was not disappointed. When I arrived, Sandy was finishing up a color and cut on a young, edgy looking cutie pie. She had colored her hair platinum with some violet highlights and she looked amazing. I am neither young nor edgy and have fought for years with my thick curly hair which I usually wear straight. Sandy immediately sized up my hair, listened to what I wanted, offered her own input and proceeded to give me the best cut of my life. She then gave me a great blow out. If you ever have blow outs, you know that many many stylists, even the ones that know what they're doing as far as haircuts can be abysmal at blow outs. I usually need to go over my hair with a flat iron after blowing it dry, but Sandy made it straight with just the blow dryer and did it in about 10 minutes when it takes me over 30 and I'm pretty damn good at blowing out my hair. My cut is gorgeous. I am so excited to find someone in Ann Arbor who is so knowledgeable about all types of hair and can really deliver. Ann Arbor has a ton of salons that are ridiculously overpriced for the quality they deliver. I think Sandy is incredibly reasonable and would have happily paid more for my cut and style. Don't let the name fool you. While apparently Sandy is super good at dread locks, she offers so much more. So glad I found this place.
