Brisket rangoons

This is the restaurant-bar in the Marriot River Center lobby, nicely set up with plenty of seating around and at the bar. You can seat yourself and be waited in quickly, eat in the restaurant or take your food and drinks back to your room, the service was great. I had a coupe of the small plates, the brisket quesadillas were amazing! Lots of flavor and the radish and pickled red onions added just the right touch. The rangoons were just okay, kind of dry and over cooked. You will pay hotel prices so a little more expensive but not unreasonable, definitely worth a try if you stay here.

Birria quesadilla

Ended up eating here twice. One to go at the hotel room. One down in the lobby. It's a nice clean ambiance and look. Waiters and bar top employees are great. Very nice. The burger was pretty darn good. Now I'm a sucker for a in n out 3x3. But this was decent. Good price and the duck fat potatoes were awesome. The quesadilla was decent. Very cheesy and oily but the Birria and sauce was delicious and rich. The second dine experience was even better. Probably because I grabbed the 8 oz filet mignon cooked medium rare. It was near flawless. I've had some great steaks and this was one of the top

Hugs fresh wings.

Best wings I've ever had! Why? Large juicy fresh as large as my wrist wings. No breading, all wing. Light traditional buffalo sauce. Dusting of chives. House ranch-ish dip. Plenty of celery and carrots. It was a meal. Fast and friendly. I wanted to eat drink and get to bed fast. That happened. Friday during the dinner rush. Good job Alex

The Wedge Salad

We decided to eat here after we checked in to the hotel. It was pretty busy but they did get to us relatively quickly. We were pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. We have eaten at other hotel restaurants on the Riverwalk and this definitely would end up on our Top Five List. We had The Wedge Salad, Smoked Chicken, and The Brussel Sprouts. We finished with The Sweet Potato Cheesecake. The service was prompt. The atmosphere is busy and a little noisy. This is expected of a restaurant lounge. The food was very tasty. We are planning on stopping by tomorrow evening again.

Barbacoa nachos

I went here during San Japan with a group of 8. We were seated fast, though the food took a while to come out. The barbacoa nachos were able to feed several people and tasted pretty decent. The pepperoni flatbread was good too. It wasn't particularly spicy tho. We ordered for the whole table and it ended up being almost $15/person, not bad.

Barbacoa Nachos

Barbacoa Nachos were huge, and very delicious. David G. Was an amazing server, very personable.

Was here for an event and decided to grab a bite with a co worker. We split the Brussels sprouts and I got a burger. The Brussels sprouts we way too large a quantity. They could halve that portion and price. But I liked the sweet flavor and the savory blue cheese on it. The burger was as I ordered it. It's like a smash burger- more thin patties versus one large thick patty. It was good. The onion rings were ok. The service is worth mentioning. They were slammed with our event upstairs in the ballroom and hustled the whole time. We were never forgotten.

Tributary Burger and Fries

My Son had an event in San Antonio and everyone pretty much stayed in the same hotel. We arrived late the first day, so I was so grateful to see a small walk in bakery/convenience store and full service restaurant and bar inside the lobby of the San Antonio Marriot Rivercenter Hotel. It was packed the entire weekend we were there! So the big and popular restaurant was Tributary, located right when you walked in the hotel lobby. Since it was late and I hadn't had dinner, I decided to order something and take it up to my room. I decided to go with their Tributary Burger. It's a 2 patty smash burger with all the fixings plus cheese slices and bacon. Of the sides I chose their potatoes fried in duck fat. Oh my gosh, when I picked it up, it smelled so good, lol. I was so exhausted, it didn't even occur to me take a picture, but I posted one, so you can see how yummy it looks! Their burger is SO good, I had one the next night too. After being on my feet all day walking up and down the Riverwalk, then going to my Son's concert, I wasn't going anywhere else, but up to my room. Their burger is THAT good! So are their fries, and you get plenty of fries to share for sure. So if you're ever in downtown SA, stop in and have a meal at Tributary. I'm sure anything you eat there, will be good!

Great place for food and drinks. We had a large group every evening for several evenings and for the most part, service was good. They were very busy due to two simultaneous conferences going on. The place was packed.

Barbaccoa Nachos

The food was amazing and the portions were huge! Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. Food came out a little slow for our lunch hour at conference but we made it back in time. Super comfortable chairs and environment.

Bar

Sat in bar area after checking in. Me and my cousin ordered two beers. The bartender was not friendly at all towards us. Took her time even taking our order I had to wave her down multiple times. She finally comes takes our drink order and when asked to open a tab my cousin gives her his AMEX and the attitude instantly changes. Checked on us multiple times. Energy definitely changed. My other cousin got off his work call came down and sat next to us. He asked if he can put in an order of fries she gives him a hard time says Kitchen doesn't open until 4pm it was literally 3:57. Very weird. We finished our beers and left. We usually go rounds but the nasty service had us get up and explore the downtown area near the river walk.

However, when it was finally served, it appeared completely clear, which left me a bit confused about the preparation process. I originally stopped in for the prerolls, but due to a recent ban or restriction, they were unavailable. Unfortunately, the cashier didn't seem very interested in suggesting alternative products or helping me find a comparable option. Overall, the experience didn't leave much of an impression. Between the average drinks, limited product availability, and lack of engagement from the staff, I don't see myself returning.

Coffee Shop No. 508 Niche Coffee Co…read more San Antonio, TX June 10, 2025 From across the street, my first glance of Niche Coffee Company gave me the impression there was some rich history inside the building; so I had to look it up while waiting on my cortado. Turns out the cafe sits on the corner of The Riverwalk Plaza Hotel; once the garage to The Plaza Hotel. It was once boasted as the "finest hotel in the South" during the 1920's. The Plaza stood on an island in the San Antonio River up until 1926 when the water was channeled away in flood-control work. The building is not as lavish it was during its heyday golden era, but the bones are still there. Spanish heritage remains in the arches, carved stone and tile floors. I found the location to be captivatingly beautiful. Niche Coffee Co.and their friendly baristas now welcomes coffee lovers on the corner street level of The Riverwalk Plaza. The cafe is modern yet comfortable and cozy. I read a couple chapters of a book and sipped happily on my very well made cortado. It was bold in flavor and served at a perfect temperature so it was smooth and velvety just the way I like it. The shop uses coffee beans from Quantum Coffee Roasters, a local San Antonio roaster. Enjoying life one cortado at a time!

I placed an order and walked to the coffee shop, only to be informed that they were bought out and didn't even have my order or the right ingredients to make it. Instead of a refund, they offered to make me a regular coffee which I declined. I took a long walk just to go there to pay $12 for coffee that didn't exist and a coffee shop that doesn't exist as of 2 weeks ago! They need to take their ordering down and website if they won't fulfill your order. It's absolutely stealing my money!!!!! I tried emailing, calling and asking for a refund in person and I was denied. What a great way to treat someone visiting here!

The location itself is what brought us to this location as we wanted to have a morning coffee and allow our little one to have fun at the park next to the business. You do have to park in the garage as it is almost impossible to find street parking. But that's common in this area.
