They are very neglectful and unhelpful, my daughter was seen there yesterday I was told she has some fluid in her ear, she had a really bad night I called this morning at 9:00 to ask them if they could send antibiotics over to the pharmacy because my daughter is in so much pain they told me I have to wait until 1pm mind you I know how prescriptions so especially E scripts. It takes two minutes to send in to the pharmacy so my daughter has to sit here in pain all the way until 1 PM when they're good and ready to send it which is ridiculous. It takes two minutes to do my daughter was literally screaming on the top of her lungs when I'm on the phone with them and they're still telling me you have to wait till 1 o'clock any other doctors office would've took the two minutes out of their day and just sent the script in not this place they are not family oriented. It's very commercial. I feel like they don't care about my child and I am taking my child out of this doctors office because they are very neglectful because if you've seen the fluid in her ear yesterday, why not send the antibiotics and no they're gonna wait until it gets worse and she's an excruciating pain and then I have to wait until the doctor is good and ready to send it in. That's ridiculous. Do not go here with your children. read more

This place is a joke. They schedule appointments and insist on bringing your child to their year apt and that they're due and the insurance covers only to tell you that the insurance won't cover it when you get there. Why did they let me take a day off for this and not call me to tell me before? Third time this happened this year. There's always some miscommunication with their call center and scheduling/ third time something like this happened this year. Or you have to call twenty times to follow up with a doctor. My wife and I are new parents and did a lot of research to find a pediatrician. We did not want to go to a place that is pushing lots of tests, scans, shots, etc. - a little more easy-going. We also wanted to find doctors that would answer all of our idiotic questions (of which there are plenty) and not roll their eyes or be condescending. We have been here several times and have been working with Dr. Levine. She has been excellent: patient, knowledgeable, takes time to talk through things. The staff here are also very good: friendly and welcoming. Scheduling and updating info, etc., is also very easy, too. I definitely recommend these guys for new parents if you live in the Hudson Yards, southern end of Hell's Kitchen or northern part of Chelsea. read more

Dr. Maja Castillo is no longer at this practice - I called today to double check. Dr. Castillo was recommended by another pediatrician & why I went here. I will not be back. The practice has become too impersonal. Not all the doctors have MD degrees - some are DOs (doctors of osteopathic medicine) and customers should be informed of this as well as when their doctor quits the practice. There are many great doctors of osteopathy - I have nothing against a DO degree. But I do have something against doctors who I feel know less than I do about pediatric health care issues. As the COVID 19 Delta variant especially affects the pediatric patient population, the staff here should be better informed. When I asked about how they are handling separating Covid positive patients from unvaccinated children (vaccine still not approved below age 12 as of August 18, 2021) I could not get a clear answer. As a result, I will avoid going here & go to a practice where they separate well from sick patients and/or indicate they have a covid screening protocol in place. Too bad Dr. Castillo is no longer there - I felt very comfortable with her. Wish I knew where she went ! read more

My daughter has been admitted into the hospital three times once for 5 days due to respiratory issues. Since she was so young, they diagnosed her with reactive airway disease which mean her chances of having asmtha when she gets older is higher. My next appointment, I asked the doctor what I can do to prevent her from having to go to the hospital because she is traumatized. She said to be very proactive with her inhaler giving it every 2 hours if needed and in between doing nebulizer treatments. I went out of state and my daughter was having issues again. I was proactive with the inhaler and had the nebulizer but needed a refill of the nebulizer prescription in my home town to give her. I called the office after hours and spoke with someone who said they would get the prescription but in. I went to the pharmacy to pick it up and they said nothing had been called in. I called back and the after hours nurse said she contacted the doctor on call who denied it (no-one even called me back to let me know they didn't end up calling it in). I asked what I was supposed to do and said my daughter is having trouble breathing and I was told to do this. Do I need to just take her to the ER since you won't prescribe the medication she needs? The nurse responded, "If she actually is having trouble breathing, I don't know what you are waiting for." I started crying on the phone. She was no help, extremely rude, and the doctor on call (which they wouldn't give the name of) did not allow the medication. My daughter was admitted into the hospital for two days and the hospital staff was in complete shock after reviewing her records that the pediatrician didn't get her a refill. I went back into the office and our daughters doctor was extremely apologetic and siad she also can't believe that happened. She marked every chart requiring refills to be given at any point if I call with my daughter having trouble breathing. Although our doctor was good, the way Tribeca Pediatrics handled that situation amongst many others that I won't go into detail about, I do not feel that my daughter is in good care with them, especially when they refused to help her when she needed it most. I would give 0 stars if possible. It goes without saying, but I changed pediatricians. read more

This place is not a good place. They will undermine your parenting. They are not vaccine friendly/tolerant. Dr. Einbinder has her license for barely two years and insists she knows more than a specialist with 30+ years of experience. Make sure you investigate your doctors beyond "word of mouth". If you're looking for inexperienced doctors that are super judgmental with racial undertones.. this is your place. Einbinder isn't to be trusted. I felt our treatment by her had racial undertones and I see another parent on here had the same experience. Think about the parents who didn't think to share their experience and simply asked for another doctor or just left the practice altogether?!?! She's a bad look for Tribeca pediatrics. I have been trying to get a doctors note from their offices for about 3 weeks. Their portal system has no one following up with the Drs. Administrators don't have access and you play phone tag with Drs for days. Time to get a better system. Parents need to see records and email nurses or doctors without the ineffective 3rd party. read more

I'm happy to report that we FINALLY left Tribeca Pediatrics and found a new practice. And, of course, now we're kicking ourselves for not doing it years ago. As I said in my review, we liked our doctor at Chelsea Tribeca and that loyalty (foolishly) kept us from leaving. Or, to put it another way, we got lazy. Bad on us! The final straw was calling Tribeca last week to get a flu shot and being told there were precisely two one-hour time slots during the week when we could get it, one in the morning after school starts and the other in the early afternoon, both of which meant pulling our son out of school to get there for a routine matter. (For any of you parents getting flu shots for your children, you know that pharmacies won't give them to anyone under 18 years old, so you're pretty much stuck going to your pediatrician.) The only other option through Tribeca is schlepping all the way down to the Warren Street office, which offers flu shots until 6pm on a few weeknights and for one hour in the morning on Saturdays. However, if we're going to go all the way down there we may as well go to Westchester or New Jersey. I wonder who came up with the idea of locating the flagship office on the tip of Manhattan? I suppose that's sort of convenient for those living in Brooklyn but not much help for those of us residing in Manhattan. So I called several pediatricians who came recommended by other parents and quickly found one in our neighborhood who could administer a flu shot the next day at a time in the afternoon that was convenient for us. Notably, and without me saying anything, the first question they asked was, "What time does your child get out of school?" That sort of tells the whole story right there! Tribeca Pediatrics epitomizes everything that's wrong with turning pediatric care into a corporate model with an impersonal call center. Instead of keeping the parents and childrens' best interests at heart or trying to understand things from our perspective, everything is about metrics and maximizing every red cent of profit, which is why there are only two inconvenient one-hour slots when they provide flu shots. We are sorry to leave our Tribeca doctor but it feels exhilarating to finally be in the hands of a practice that makes an effort to accommodate its families. Beware, don't go here if you even remotely suspect your child may have an actual medical issue. Since my daughter was 3 weeks old, I took her in every two weeks to Tribeca Pediatrics saying that she was in a lot of distress and something seemed wrong. They dismissed me as a first time mom who didn't know better. The doctor even told me not to worry about my daughter's pain because children that young don't experience emotions. The doctor also never called me back, when I called in with issues and specifically told me not to see a GI doctor. After months, my baby got so small that she fell below 0% on the growth curve for her age. At the behest of friends who work in the NICU, I took my daughter to a new pediatrician and a GI specialist, who discovered severe undiagnosed GI issues that were causing her severe pain and preventing her from ingesting food. She's now on medication and prescription formula and doing better, but still hasn't recovered fully since Tribeca let the issues festered for so long. When I went to the GI doctor, she actually told me to beware of the practice because they have a reputation for not taking medical issues seriously. I would never recommend this practice. read more

To be honest, my husband and I chose this practice bc it is close to where we live. Everyone here are super nice and friendly. Doctors seem competent, we've met all of them, except for the one who works Fridays. Dr. Castillo - super nice and calm. I don't feel rushed with her at all. Dr. Ostrow - new doc here. Friendly. Again, I liked that I didn't feel rushed, even though I had do many questions. Stephanie Blanco - really nice and personable, but she is no longer here. Dr. Modi - We saw Dr Modi twice when she got called in to fill in last minute. We love Dr Modi! I am so impressed with her ninja needle skills. I hate looking at needles. I turned around to not look and she was done in less than a second! My baby did a short cry and that was it. Dr Modi's favorite word is "delicious" Other info: - Tribeca Pediatrics has a reputation of being VERY PRO Sleep Training. They recommended it at 2 months, while other doctors say 4 months. Just an fyi. - I like that the patient portal gives us access to all of my baby's weigh in and measurement info plus percentiles, AND vaccinations. read more

It was an easy decision to change doctors and leave Tribeca Pediatrics. They ignored our concerns about our Childs symptoms and we ended up taking him to hospital and was there for a few days due to his condition. In addition to this, their billing department failed to keep our insurance information and would send us a bill for a visit we had coverage for. They then withheld our child's medical records because the bill they said we owed wasn't paid, all because they failed to save our insurance information. They also failed to save the correct email addresses. After a number of phone calls where I provided our insurance information again, I was able to source our child's medical records so that we could provide to a new doctor. We needed the medical records for schooling and for the appointment with a new doctor, yet we were hostage to their system because of their failure to record basic personal information such as insurance coverage, e-mail addresses etc. The amount of time we wasted was insulting and we are happy to just move on - poor advice and poor administration. Don't waste your time. read more

They are amazing. Dr. Castillo and her colleagues have been with us since the birth of my daughter, 6 years ago. They have gone out of their way to accommodate my schedule, have personally returned all of my phone calls and most importantly, they know my me and my children. You will not be disappointed with their service and I have yet to find a pediatrician as wonderful and smart as Dr. Castillo, Dr. Gallagher or any other pediatrician at Tribeca. read more

We chose this practice for convenience but like other parents we have concluded convenience isn't always worth the trade offs. I'd note: - we like the docs here but it always feels so rushed. Like the second she is done doing the physical check up she is bolting out the door and I am asking her if she has a few seconds to answer questions while she's literally in the doorway obviously wanting to get out of the room. Not very reassuring when we are trying to get input. It does make it feel like a factory. Obviously their business model is churn. Yes it feels more like a business than any doctor's office I've ever visited. - scheduling, like other reviewers note, is really rigid and the (unfriendly) people who answer the switchboard don't seem terribly interested in helping to accommodate. We chose this office due to convenience and there are some very good aspects to tribeca: after hours support and follow up beimg the top aspects. Within this office we are certainly fans of Dr Castillo who is very cool, understanding, and warm. However we have had some unpleasant interactions with the NP, Stephanie Blanco. She has a tendency to be rude, arrogant, and dismissive - not exactly the most reassuring bedside manner when you're stressed out about your child. She has a way to make us feel extra stupid for our requests and as if we are imposing. The overall attitude is one of a "know it all" and we, by default, are the idiots in the room.Our child is the most important thing to us so we do have questions that are important to us - we don't want to feel shamed for asking the questions or making requests. Our suggestion is to avoid her at all costs. read more

I know I've already written a review here, but I wanted to let everyone know what a wonderful doctor, Dr. Kero is. She's gone above and beyond to help with my son's dairy protein allergy and reflux. She has helped not only at his scheduled visits, but is prompt with phone calls, responds very quickly to my emails and has written letters to our health insurance conpany for their denied formula claims. She is so very helpful and I feel genuinely cares about my children. I can't say enough wonderful things. read more

I love this office. They always have same day sick visits available and despite the many patients they see they always remember my children personally. Dr Castillo is caring, patient and thorough. Liz, the medical assistant, is so gentile, kind and goes above and beyond consistently and always remembers us. I am so thankful to have such easy access to such a great team. read more

I've been to 3 locations now (Tribeca, Fort Greene & Chelsea) and this is by far the best. All the doctors and nurses are sweet and knowledgeable. The receptionists are lovely and helpful and the waiting room is large enough that you're not sitting on top of sick kids second guessing if your kids are going to catch something off them. Love Tribeca Pediatrics and Stephanie Blanco has been amazing for our son ever since he was a newborn born with some orthopedic issues. She was able to find his vein from his han for a blood test even when the hospital couldn't do properly (which had a specialized prenatal nurse conduct the test) She has been respectful, laid back and always willing to encourage questions and gave kind, honest, yet considerate answers. I have 3 boys all under the age of 4 years old and all three of my sons have been seeing Nurse Practitioner Stephanie Blanco since they were newborns.
