She sees more patients than she needs and once you meet her, you will know why. She is knowledgeable, comforting, warm, approachable and no airs about being an immensely successful and popular pediatrician. She gives us her time when she sees us, has seen her fair share of babies, toddlers and concerned and worried parents and knows exactly how to handle every situation with ease. She is also fantastic in a crisis. She is never too hard to get on the phone, after hours or during a busy day. Overall, as a first time mother, I cannot recommend her enough. Recently switched pediatricians for my 12 and 13 yr old daughters. As you can imagine how difficult that process was for all of us. Starting over not knowing if my children would feel comfortable with this new office and most importantly the doctor! I am upset with myself I waited so long to switch as Dr. Loiselle and her staff are GREAT!! My children's previous pediatricians office was horrendous when it came to patient care. Coming to this new office made me realize my children deserved better care! From the front desk to the back office I have never experienced such great service. The office has filled out camp forms hassle free in a surprisingly timely fashion. We needed a prescription sent to the pharmacy in a crunch as my daughter was leaving to camp the next day and it was done with no trouble at all. Dr. Loiselle is an amazing doctor and a wonderful human being. She is thoughtful, caring and has great, practical advice. She is very responsive - have had her call me back late in the evening when I have had concerns. She takes a practical approach to issues, and is non-alarmist but efficient. My son had to have his adenoids out and she was amazing throughout the process. I never feel rushed with her, she takes the time to know her patients. I trust her as a medical professional and her staff is friendly and responsive too. I couldn't have found a better physician for my daughters and son. read more

Dr. Suzanne Loiselle is a kind, caring, personable, knowledgeable, and professional Doctor. I did a lot of research before choosing Dr. Loiselle, and I am so thankful that she was accepting new patients when I decided to give her a try. I have taken my daughter to see her a handful of times this past year alone (for check ups and follow ups), and each time, she has had incredible bed side manners. She is always on time with her appointments, takes time to listen to any concerns and answers all my questions, explains everything she does during the exam, and actually explains things in a way that is understandable. And most importantly, she is incredibly gentle with my toddler. She's had several vaccinations done, and not a cry once. The only minus to this office is the steps leading into the office. There are about four steps leading down to the office, and the walkway is narrow. So if you have a stroller, it can be an issue. We use an Uppababy Vista and haven't had too much of an issue bringing it in and out. A bit more of a challenge? Yes. Impossible? No. But once inside, the office waiting area is pretty spacious. The office is a little dated in appearance, but definitely nothing to be concerned about. The level of care and attention you will receive from Dr. Loiselle makes it all worth it. I knew Dr Loiselle was the right choice for us shortly after she browbeat me for going into my baby daughter's room one night and messing with the sleep schedule progress we had made. In all seriousness, if you're a parent who thinks that your son/daughter's behavior is totally unique, that there's nothing you can do to change it, and that the only option is for you and the rest of the world to adapt, then Dr Loiselle might not be the right fit for you. If, however, you believe that babies/kids are malleable through hard work and lots of repetition, then you'll be hard-pressed to find a better pediatrician than Dr Loiselle. read more

If I could go to Dr. Loiselle for myself, I totally would. Alas, she is a Pediatrician so my daughter is lucky enough to have her as her doctor. She is just amazing. Cool, calm and collected, she has all the info, is super nice but never overbearing and just has this great way about her. Her office staff is excellent and the other doctor in her practice, Dr. Popper, is terrific too. For the past 16 plus years Dr. Loiselle is our children's Pediatrician. We met her at Mt. Sinai when our daughter was a day old. She continues to this day to give us sound medical advise. We consider her to be more than the kids Pediatrician. She is an incredible, patient, sound doctor who's advise is always on point. We've never had an issue in the office and everyone there is professional, courteous and most importantly kind. read more

Dr. Loiselle is my kid's pediatrician for the last 8 years and she is an excellent, patient and wise physician. She is always available and even arranges for coverage on weekends. She works in a two person practice, with Dr. Popper, and my kids always see the same physician unlike at group practices. My wife and I are very fortunate to have met her in the hospital when my kids were born. I hope she stays in NYC in this type of practice at least until my kids finish college. My kids just turned ten and she is as good as ever. Whatever she recommends is always correct and its been a great relief knowing that in the area of health its become a nobrainer when it comes to what do do regarding my kids. read more

Dr. L'oiselle has been my son's pediatrician for 10 years, since he was 3 weeks old; she was recommended to me by a close friend. I chose her because I was not satisfied by the level of care we received at a larger practice. Those doctors didn't remember us or our baby, even though we'd seen her just the week before! I wanted a doctor who forms closer relationships with her patients, one who remembers each of her patients' medical histories. Dr. L'oiselle spends time with her patients and their (sometimes frantic) parents. She patiently and *thoroughly* answered ALL of my questions until I felt I truly understood what was happening with my son and could help make informed choices about his treatment. She is equally attentive to parents as she is to her patients. As a new mother, I felt that I didn't know what I was doing, and had a few "freak outs" over what turned out to be part and parcel of caring for a newborn (infant acne anyone?) Regardless of how "uninformed" my questions were, Dr. L'oiselle took the time to explain things and calm me down, without *any* judgement; she treated me with so much respect, and never made me feel incompetent. I remember I said at one visit that she should put a big red "N" on my son's chart for "neurotic mother." She replied that she didn't mind my questions at all and that was what she was there for--she said I could call anytime, and she meant it.I almost cried (well, maybe I did, a little). As a harried insecure mother, the fact that she was so reassuring really helped me to gain confidence (and competence). Her diagnoses are spot-on--never a wrong diagnosis--and since she took the time to explain the problem and treatment options, I felt like I could help make decisions--she was willing to listen to my description of events, and didn't rush to conclusions like many doctors who often ignore the mother (or father) who know their child best. For my son, he loves her--always has a smile for her and, even though she gives him those "horribly painful" flu shots, is still happy to see her. As he got older, she listened as carefully to him as she did to me, and began directing questions to him about how he was feeling. This is a doctor who wants to get a thorough understanding of what is going on before she comes to a diagnosis; she never made a snap judgement that she shoved at us (which was my experience at the larger practice I initially tried). By the way, if your child has to go to the hospital (as mine did for a few days) she is equally attentive and checked in often. Her handling of his treatment there was just as rigorous as her office visits. Sadly, we are leaving Dr. L'oiselle this year because at my son is becoming more concerned with "privacy" and will be more comfortable with a male doctor. I wish it were not so, because I will REALLY miss Dr. L'oiselle, probably more than my son :) Obviously, I can't say enough good things about Dr. L'oiselle. If you want a terrific doctor with undeniable expertise, patience (with both children and parents), who will always remember your child and his/her medical history (so you don't have to rehash it every time), and who will not push you out of the office, or let you leave until you feel confident that you know what you need to know, then Dr. L'oiselle is the doctor for you! read more

I had heard great things about this practice, so it's unfortunate that I have to write this review. My 13 month old daughter was a patient here, but we recently moved to Mt. Sinai on 85th and I am so happy we did. I'm sure the doctors are well meaning, but this place is completely disorganized. There was confusion over her flu shot and they were weighing her incorrectly - it was later corrected when I told the doctor that she did not look like she had lost that much weight. My daughter also never received the MMR vaccine at her 1 year appointment! We only found later after we switched doctors that she should have gotten this vaccine, especially as the measles were going around. My daughter's iron levels were tested at the 1 year appointment, and I called twice to find out the results but no one got back to me. The new doctor told me right away that her iron levels were low and that she needed to take a multivitamin with iron. I am so glad we switched to receive the proper care, but be aware that despite well meaning doctors, this place is cramped, disorganized, and things seem to slip through the cracks as they do not remember vaccines or follow up. read more

We moved from to NYC with our toddler and Dr Loiselle was kind enough to take us a new patient. I was nervous about finding a new pediatrician as we loved our one at home - Dr Loiselle did not disappoint. She was fantastic - spent time getting to know us as a family and was great with our daughter. Does all her own shots which is nice too. We are sadly leaving Dr. Loiselle's practice because of a move to Brooklyn, and I wanted to post something about how fabulous she is, even though I know their practice is always full without a lot of publicity. We went to Dr. Loiselle for our daughter from 6 months - 3 years and our son until 18 months. Dr. Loiselle gives no-nonsense, practical advice and information, and manages to be both extremely efficient and very warm. She helps put things in perspective without dismissing your anxieties, which is a real art, particularly given her parent population. We never waited long for an appointment and always left feeling satisfied. She and Dr. Popper are also very reliable on the phone after hours, and one weekend she arranged for me to see a visiting doctor at her office when my son needed immediate attention. I came to really respect her opinions and advice, and learned a lot from her. We will miss her. read more
