I have had a very bad experience with my teen daughter. Information passed from a NP to doctor needed to varified by a parent. It contained several inaccurices. Dr Netto washed his hands of her and left her hanging when she badly need of medication. He explained he didnt have time to take care of this. The office is too big and the amazing front desk staff are kind and caring but run off their feet. read more

I love the doctors and the care that i get at Tribeca pediatrics. However telling me that they will not see my sick child due to a balance of $175 on my account is disheartening. I am appalled at this treatment and i will now look to find a new pediatrician office that is not money hungry and will not deny my child services that are needed. You should be ashamed! read more

Stay away. Our newborn was discharged from the hospital with explicit instructions to get tested for high bilirubins (indication for jaundice) within 48 hours after being sent home. We made an appointment to do this, and Tribeca resisted testing because she seemed to be healthy and the test was "not fun". I insisted on doing the test. We didn't get the results immediately, but someone called at 11:00 pm that night and told us to take our baby to the ER because her levels were high enough to warrant going into the NICU and getting UV treatment until her levels normalized. We thought this might be just a one-off occurrence, but on another occasion we brought her in because she had a high fever and we suspected UTI (smelly diapers), and we asked for a UTI test but they again resisted and told us to just wait it out, even though we specifically needed a test because we were about to travel. We then went on our trip and our daughter spent another 4 days with intermittent high fevers and almost no sleep. Eventually we took her to an urgent care center near the place where we were staying. Low and behold, UTI. The urgent care center gave us antibiotics that knocked it out in less than a day. read more

When you move to a city with a child, it can sometimes be nerve-racking for a parent. We do not know what we would do without Tribeca Pediatrics on our team. Always available to answer questions. They call back immediately when a message is left. I would not dream of using another pediatrician. Do not listen to any bad reviews, I have yet to meet a parent who has not praised them. I had a horrible experience at this practice. I saw Dr Johnson for my newborn visit. When I walked into the office it was about 100 degrees with no fans or AC. There was a vaccine left out in the waiting room by the sink. There were no signs with regard to hand washing for corona virus. She did not wash her hands before the appt. There was a stethoscope sitting in the sick. She did not check my sons hips of spine. She also had zero bedside manner. After Telling Dr Johnson I couldn't sit down 2x she asked me if I wanted to sit down and feed my son. She then told me (without seeing my sons discharge weight) that he had lost too much weight (not even 8% of his birth weight) and I should be feeding every hour for 24 hours and supplementing with formula, after each feeding - up to 3 oz. When would he have time to be changed, burped, sleep even go to the bathroom. To add insult to injury my son peed during the appt which she wouldn't let me clean, she just pulled some additional paper onto the table - let the urine soak through it and examined him in his own pee. It was completely unacceptable and I beg of anyone in the neighborhood not to use this practice. Surprised at the negative reviews. I visited this office today for the first time and was completely impressed with the front desk staff, nurse , and Dr . Johnson. Dr. Johnson took the time to listen to our concerns and give the appropriate referrals. I didn't feel rushed during our visit and actually felt that Dr. Johnson cared . My 2.5 year old daughter liked her so much she didn't want to leave! She walked out of the office holding Dr. Johnson's hand. Certainly not the case with her Dr in the city ,where she normally hid between my legs . I respect the fact that everyone has their own experience, however, if you are on the fence I wouldn't let the poor reviews sway you. Best place to go for my kiddo. Lilliaña was great today. She kept a smile with me and my baby boy even through crying kiddos and despite my insurance hassle! She assured me she'd get to the bottom of it and she did! The other front lady Tiana? Tatiana? I can't recall so sorry! I didn't see the name clip was also very great. Great team here. Severely disappointed with this practice. Our first newborn visit was with Dr Tong who I found to be alarmist and sent me into a tailspin about my daughter's weight. Without knowing her discharge weight, and using only her birth weight, she informed me that her weight loss of 8% was extremely concerning, told me she needed to be fed every 2 hours 24 hours/day, and that i should be supplementing with formula. We were told in the hospital that she had a tongue and lip tie and that this would affect her ability to breast feed. Dr Tong dismissed this. Fast forward 4 weeks, we had the ties revised and saw immediate improvements with feeding as well as weight gain. We then met with Dr Johnson for a weight check who spent more time talking to us (very loudly) about using Dove baby soap than addressing the concerns about my baby's weight and severe colic. 2 weeks later we saw her again. She didn't remember us and referred to our baby girl as a "he" until She took off her diaper and realized it was a girl. As an aside, this visit was during COVID and Dr Johnson kept her mask below her nose the entire time. We were told to "look forward" to the 2 month appointment so we could learn all about sleep training. There was little discussion about the health and wellness of my baby. We had been given no information on what she should be doing developmentally or red flags to look out for. We have since switched to Weill Cornell in TriBeCa. When the medical records were sent, some of the documentation was incorrect (stating that we had scheduled a 2 month appointment when we hadn't, among other things) and they weren't even in chronological order. I am a healthcare provider and I never write reviews. But i want to spare any new parents from the experience that we had which added significantly to my postpartum anxiety. read more

This ped clinic is a threat to babies and kids development. Watch out! We plus three (3) mom friends of us have had their kids as patients over there and had terrible experiences. None of us are with this practice any longer. 1) They missed out a 14 month old having strep. 2) They missed out on our friends son (15 month old) who had major developmental milestones delayed such as crawling, walking, babbling etc. The german pediatrician just said that 'he's normal - no problem". At 15 months he was behind as a 8 month old, but yet the doctor just wanted to get to lunch instead of focus on helping the mom! 3) They preach the Cry Out Method - AT ANY AGE! Whether your baby is 1 month old, 6 months or 2 years - these guys ask you to have your baby "cry it out" the whole night.... 4) And if your 2 year old is having a tantrum - don't try to work it out and find a way to deal with your child - no no, these guys want you to LOCK IN YOUR CHILD in a room - until the child is quiet. 5) One of mom friends' son had escalated fever running up to 105.5!!! After having to wait 1.5 hour to have the doc calling back (off business hours), they advised to take tylenol and that's it. At 12 months of age, you go to the Pediatric ER to see if the kid has any virus infection, pneumonia, or any other medical problems especially at this high fever No thank you, even though it's a convenient walk as a Williamsburger it's not worth jeopardizing my childrens' health and development to have some under performing, unattentive, expensive, easy going pediatricins! Take a trip to the city and find a better pediatrician! read more

the office is overwhelmed and understaffed and the poor desk person runs back and forth from computer to blood-draw and this is not hygenic. They are doing too much and have a sloppy approach when they get overwhelmed. I continue to go there because of a simple and harmonious rapport with our pediatrician dr. newman. She is a lovely woman cares much and works hard. But Im not sure she can continue to take on new patients - she too seems overwhelmed and under supported. I also flatly reject the Tribeca approach of telling all parents to make their baby Cry it Out - it is not medical it is not professional, it is not necessarily healthy nor necessarily safe for ANY baby much less EVERY baby . As a believer in Attachment Parenting I find the practice of telling all parents to do CIO is offensive to me and anyone else who abides to their instincts or those formal principles of nurturing attachment. Many new moms who are exhausted and vulnerable to behavioral advice wind up really driving a wedge between themselves and their baby with this approach and its not fair to them or their baby. For these reasons I give fewer stars because until they correct these, new patients should be very wary of joining the practice. Again. I and my son have a good rapport with Dr. Newman. I do hope that she gets greater support for her practice going forward. read more

If i could give less than 1 star, I would. They are horrible. We only come here because they are close by to us. They have misdiagnosed my children three times. 1st time, they told me my daughter had skin rash due to her clothes so I changed all her clothes only to find out it was an allergy from food. 2nd time, I said I believed my son had an ear infection and she told me that it was just too much wax. 3rd time, they told me my daughter had hand foot mouth and I took her out of school only to find out that it was just insect bites. Their doctors are great but they are becoming like the Walmart of doctors -- you can't get anyone at any office on the phone without going through a central location that not only puts you on hold forever but isn't of much help. The scheduling on the website is a mess. Once you penetrate this impersonal wall the doctors and nurses are great. But it's a real brick wall where it could be welcoming and efficient. read more

It took 7 days from the sick visit to find out my son had salmonella. Maybe that is more of an issue with their lab, but it seems like a long time. My physician gets lab results in 48 hours, which was the time they quoted my wife. I got excuses when I expressed concern. Flu shot for the kid? How about in a tiny window once a week? Rite Aid gives them out any time without an appointment. Thanks Tribeca. You are the Rolls Royce of pediatrics, which means you take more care than you are actually worth. read more

We love Dr. Newman and the staff here. She is caring, helpful, kind and gives good advice. I have had to call the emergency line twice and both times we were answered within minutes. I know some people say Tribeca pushes CIO on young infants, but this was not the case for us. Dr. Newman kept track of our daughters sleep habits early on with us and by the time she was 6 months old and of appropriate weight, suggested dropping a feed etc. We were never pushed into early CIO at all ever. She seems to take every issue on a case by case basis and what is appropriate for the situation, as we other friends with young children who also go to Dr. Newman. An added bonus is the play area in the waiting room which our daughter loves. read more

- My son was suffering from allergies and coughing, Dr Johnson only gave him allergy medication for treatment, when he wasn't getting any better we ended up at our regular pediatrician office a week later who was very alarmed. Said in two days we would have found ourselves in the ER. He had under normal oxygen level. Serious asthma. He is still recovering. It also took many persistent calls on my end to hear back from her after two days(!) when I saw the eye drops didn't help. Just a disaster. read more

We used to be with another pediatric office in Greenpoint, where the experience was not the best (long waits and pushy doctors, anyone?). So we changed to Tribeca Pediatrics Williamsburg. We love this office. Dr Wittek was our doctor and we loved her. Have now been with Melissa for the last few years and I cannot say more great things about her as a person but above all, as a practitioner. The visits are on time and our kids are always remembered. We are NEVER rushed and the appropriate time is given to all of our concerns. The kids love Melissa - she is warm, kind, attentive, informative - and the best: she follows up by phone about everything. LOVE! Have also had to call the office after hours over the years and have gotten prompt call backs and help right away. Bonus. read more

we have been going here since my daughter was born and we didn't have any issue till she had any illness. In January, we had to take her to Tribeca in Williamsburg because she got a high fever and Dr said " it is regular cold, nothing to concern. you should wait to see for 3 to 5 days" then my daughter came home without any treatment, any prescription and next early morning, she started get chilled and shaking with high fever. We had to take her to ER, NY presbyterian. They said she had a pneumonia. Two days ago, we took her to Tribeca again because she had a runny nose and eye infection. Dr said same things as usual " Please wait to see 3 to 5days" then my daughter started suffer from the pain of ear and crying so hard. We had to go to ER again then ER Dr diagnosed she had a midle ear infection and also ear so that she need a antibiotic medication. I really do not see the point to take my child to Tribeca pediatric anymore with these experience. We also feel it is such a WASTING TIME and MONEY to go there. Because they DON"T DO ANYTHING and we still have to co-pay $30 for telling us " let's wait to see 3-5 days" every time and we always ended up have to go to ER spending another money. Wow, I had no idea a review could be deleted! So here I am posting it again! I had the most awful experience at my first appt with my newborn with Dr Zaents. I had an early discharge from the birthing center, cause everything was looking great, so I had to see a paediatrician right away. First thing the Dr said to me, a 1 day old mom about a 1 day old baby is that he was very concerned about her jaundice and that she probably had to go back to the hospital that same day, that he could be wrong but he was not optimistic at all. Then he says that he was very concerned that she lost a lot of weight (9.5%, when 10% still ok, and they have 2 weeks to get to their birth weight), so I should start with formula right away, or pump and give a bottle, but it would be too much work to clean everything every time i fed her. I was in tears, feeling that my baby had a lot of problems. Of course, I decided not to listen to him. The results were negative for jaundice, and I kept breastfeeding. My baby is 3 weeks old now and is on her normal weight. I still have another apt, now with a different Dr, that I hope will make me change my mind about Tribeca Pediatrics. read more

We love Dr Newman and have had mostly very positive experiences with Tribeca Pediatrics for the last 5 years. However, recently they seem to have grown too large to provide competent customer service. First they repeatedly misread (or didn't read) emails requesting records be sent for school applications and instead informed me, repeatedly, that they were going to charge me for sending records to our new pediatrician. Then, they took over a month to properly fill out and return a simple Dept of Education form due to clerical errors, sloppiness, and lack of follow through or follow up. And now finally, they failed to input an appt we made into their computer despite repeated confirmation so that after my heavily pregnant wife spent hours picking up our son from school in Manhattan and drove him to Berry St, she was told she wasn't on the schedule and that she would have to come back another day. Again, Dr Newman is a saint and an excellent doctor but the administration here is outrageously poor and we are looking for a new pediatrician if anyone has any suggestions. read more

You can do better than Tribeca Pediatrics. I took my daughter there for almost 2 years and was disappointed overall with the care she received. She had a serious condition that required blood to be drawn at regular intervals. Based on available information and research we knew that a venous draw would provide the most accurate readings. But they regularly asked us to accept a finger prick. It was tiring having that same discussion every time we went in. We also waited more than 2 hours once when my daughter had a pulled (or "nursemaid's") elbow. She was in extreme discomfort the entire time, and I was admonished by the doctor for not calling in and scheduling an appointment. For an emergency. Once she identified the problem, the remedy (a quick manipulation of her arm) was over in seconds (at a cost of $200). The pull happened again later down the road and a doctor in a different practice taught me how to do the manipulation myself - something that has come in very handy. That visit was $80. On a final note, there is a $20 fee to get your child's medical file. An "administration fee." I have never, ever been charged to get a medical file, which I've done at least 5 different offices. read more

She came off as way too cocky and solicited me with advice about parenting my child I didn't even ask for. It was such a turn off, she acted like she knows everything there is to know about parenting. It seemed like she was talking down to me. I have been going to TP since summer 2009 and have been very happy with the care I have received for my children. In my opinion, you either love them or hate them, and I love them. They have a very relaxed approach. I have never felt bullied into anything I wasn't comfortable with. Did they discuss the possibility that at 3 months my baby could skip a night feeding? Sure. Did I do that when I was comfortable doing it? Yes. With parenting, you need to listen and ask questions, and then, do what you are comfortable doing. They aren't in your home watching to see if you follow their advice. They offer their opinion and then you go from there. I love their approach to starting solids, they made me feel comfortable with the idea of a family meal, just puree whatever it is that we are eating for the baby, so easy! No need to buy expensive, artificial tasting jars of food. The office is clean and modern. The support staff has changed a bit since we started going, but, I am happy with them. The practice seems much more busy, when we first started going, we never waited more than five minutes. Now, the wait can be a bit longer, which is why I gave 4 stars. It seems the practice has grown and they could use another doctor. Overall, I am very happy with the care that my children receive. read more

I've been going to Tribeca in Williamsburg for the four month of my son's life, and I won't be going there any longer. It's all but impossible for me to get an appointment with a doctor - we've had most of our visits with the nurse practitioner (who is lovely enough, but alas, not a doctor). To be fair, I requested her this visit because the doctor was a bit rough with the needle when administering shots, and my son was due for two. Aside from telling me the thrush in his mouth was dried milk, the doctors I have seen were nice. However, the whole cry-out stuff is placed way to high on their list of important practices. In fact, they really push it, and if you opt not to do this with your child (starting at two months), they act like there's nothing they can do to help you. For instance, when we went in today, I asked a question about when and how to break the swaddle when transferring from a co-sleeper to a crib. I was asked if we had cried-it-with our son (why was this relevant?). I said we wouldn't be doing that, and in response to the initial question the nurse just shrugged her shoulders as if to say, well, if you're not going to CIO we can't help you. It just seems like a pediatrician should embrace the fact the people parent differently and perhaps offer alternate ideas. Or maybe just stick to medicine, not parenting. read more

I have nothing but good things to say about Tribeca Pediatrics Williamsburg. Since our son was born in Dec. 2009, Dr Newman has been with us every step of the way. She obviously loves children and is very soft and attentive during the visit. She has been reassuring us ever time we had a question or a concern, but was also prompt to help us make the right medical decisions, for instance when we took him (at not even one year) to India: about vaccines, food etc... So she is not just reassuring, she is responsible and doesn't brush off concerns and questions. When, early on, we had a couple of medical scares with Cole as a new-born, we used the emergency line twice, and were always called back within half an hour, by the pediatrician on call, asked a number of questions, and given appropriate advice. Tribeca Pediatrics is linked with Cornell Weill Presbyterian hospital, on the Upper East side, which has an amazing pediatrics emergency section, and the hospital communicates the results to the pediatrician's office so when we went for a follow-up visit the next day, they had all the medical information in front of them - so we felt overall in really good hands (and it turned out our 7 week-old son was in perfect health and it had been a false alert). And when it comes to one's child's health and well-being, there is no such thing as too much confidence in one's doctors, and we feel lucky to have no qualms about the level of care our son is given, nor the way it is delivered. I have never left a review on yelp but I cannot not speak out. My 2 year old was misdiagnosed twice here! Do NOT take your child here. I am stunned over how incompetent they are. I told them that my child had a possible ear infection and conjunctivitis and the dr did not even bother to look in her ears or her eyes?! She only listened to her heart?! Ridiculous. Sure enough, we found out from another dr that she had an ear infection and needed antibiotics. Earlier last, we had gone in for a skin rash. They diagnosed hives, and were completely wrong; another dr gave the correct diagnosis the next day. This office needs a serious internal review. read more

I've been bringing my son here for 2 years and I couldn't be happier. The front desk staff are pleasant and the doctors are extremely thorough and always friendly. They deal very well with my son, who is usually pretty shy! The waiting room is usually full, so I assume they typically have a lot of patients, but I've never felt rushed or had to wait long either! DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE Poorly Managed: 2 appointments scheduled improperly, once scheduled with the wrong doctor, during 3 visits staff was eating lunch at the reception counter, during 2 visits there were flies buzzing around the office, once the staff was eating Chinese takeout on top of the examination table during a lunch break with the door open immediately prior to my appointment in the same room which still stunk of food, and each time I visit I have to wait anywhere from 20 minutes to 1 hour and 30 minutes. Care: This is a group practice and the two doctors we've seen are fine but not exceptional. Both are somewhat difficult to understand given their heavy accents. A phone call regarding care wasn't returned for a couple of hours. Even then, the doctor was dismissive and impatient. It seems the focus at the Williamsburg branch is to market and build the Tribeca Pediatrics brand as opposed to working to provide professional, quality care for the children of the community. read more

Due to a change in our insurance provider, we recently switched to the Williamsburg - Berry Street office. I was a bit hesitant because we loved our kids pediatrician so much and was concerned I would not find anything comparable. Upon arrival, the receptionist was very friendly and accommodating. We arrived a bit early and I was worried we would have to be there until our designated appointment time. However, they attended to us right away and the entire experience was very pleasant. The office has a retro feel and is pretty clean. Our son, who is 15 months, loves the play area and the open space. The patient rooms are nicely setup and we actually had a small laugh because we didn't realize that the patient table had a built in scale. So when the medical assistant called out the weight, my husband and I looked around surprised. The medical assistant and nurse practitioner were very informative. They answered all our questions and we found them to be very knowledgeable. Great experience and feel comfortable returning. read more

This place used to be great. In a neighborhood where the number of families with small childen is growing they really had everything going for them. Unfortunately, the quality of care has deterioated, waits are incredibly long and they are understaffed. For instance the last time I was there I had to wait an hour and a half to see the pediatrician. The PA smelled like smoke and come 5PM they are all about shutting down and play loud music even if patients are sitll in the office. Tribeca Pediatrics (in Williamsburg and Greenpoint) is franchised, "fast-food" doctoring at its worst. Their offices are conveniently located, brightly decorated, and their online system is convenient and welcoming. These amenities loop you in and cover for their terrible provider services. The pediatricians (I saw two - one in Williamsburg and one in Greenpoint), are young, inexperienced, not breast feeding friendly, and do not follow AAP guidelines. Our son had trouble gaining weight and rather than spend any time diagnosing problems or helping us appropriately weigh benefits and risks of different solutions, they gave us formula and bullied us into using it in a way that would have destroyed breast feeding. Both doctors immediately said that "formula has the same nutrition as breast feeding" and "not all women can produce enough milk." One tried to force us to actually feed the formula in the office. They managed to make me feel really guilty (about not "producing enough"), while giving totally incorrect (and against medical guidelines) information. They did not check the baby's mouth (he was tongue tied). They did not cite any of the risks of formula. They did not help us weigh the true risks of continuing to try to breast feed and rather appealed to our emotional side by saying, "look at him, he is so thin." They did not have good advice on how to increase my supply (pumping, supplementing breast milk, talking galactagogues). The only good thing they did was refer us to the full-time Tribeca lactation consultant. Of course, she didn't call us back for days... I am eternally grateful for the neighborhood lactation consultants and Caribou baby groups who took the time to do a full assessment, diagnosed my baby's tongue tie, and coached us over weeks to healthy breast feeding. I am writing this because I hope other parents avoid this practice and their bullying. We go to Brooklyn Heights now, but I hear the pediatrician at the Beth Israel Medical Group is much better. read more

I've had such numerous bad experiences with Tribeca pediatrics. Misdiagnosis, doctors in a hurry who are here to see as many patients as possible and do not spend the necessary time with your kid, mistakes in the files regarding important information. Tribeca Pediatrics has been over rated for such a long time, I still don't understand why they are being recommended. We used to see the same doctor for our kids to make sure there would be some history building- she kept introducing herself to us every time see her. I'm done. I'm switching to someone who actually cares about our kids' health and not just making money off their back. read more

I second GL's review on this practice. Beware of what they tell you when your little one has health problems that are not obvious to the eye. My 2 yr old daughter was below 0% on the weight scale for over a year and every time I saw the doctor, I raised concern, asking is there anything we could do for her to get her weight up or should we get her to a specialist. They just kept telling me that she was fine and that she was small because she is an Asian baby. Sounds like a type of racism getting in the way of good practice. I got frustrated with them finally and took her to a specialist. They were alarmed and immediately ordered her to be screened for possible causes. It turns out that she has a kidney disease that was causing her growth failure and left untreated, would have led to kidney failure and possibly bone disease. It's scary what could have happened If we had kept listening to the doctors at this practice. If your baby is healthy and has no health issues, this practice is convenient and fine. But if your little one is sick or you know as a parent that something could be wrong and they are not as concerned as you are, get a second opinion. Their "low intervention approach" can be dangerous. We also had to pay $20 per child for their medical records when we left. I never paid any other practice for their records before and I find this ridiculous. I mean, if we didn't pay, would they not release my kids' records when it's necessary for their new doctor to treat them?!? I even offered to go pick it up and they were still going charge me. read more

Well.. I've read other reviews and I'm relieved i'm not the only one to be astounded at the non medical advice. I like Melissa and Dr Newman but this new Dr Malbon was appalling. I was hounded with unsolicited advice about my 2 year old. She also TOLD us to lock him up in his room when he has tantrums (which he doesn't yet, but she wasn't listening) "don't bother to explain , he doesn't understand" . Hey? I hope she doesn't have any children yet. Babies understand plenty! She was nervous and abrupt. It has happened before. I was at another location when I was also TOLD to let him cry it out that it was nearly too late at 10 months. again NOT solicited and NOT medical advice. It was also clear I was not pro crying it out- I have read some of Dr Cohen's child rearing philosophies , I disagree strongly but have appreciated some of the doctors who didn't feel compelled to preach. I realise I am just helping his philosophies spread and survive by staying at his practice. I will be searching for another doctor. Not sure how he got a book or this fast food approach to pediatrics out there.. he must be one of those charismatic dangerous people who can get a following going even with very unsafe ideas! This is hardly a doctor's office because your children will rarely see one. When you arrive at this office you will enjoy the modern look, the state of the art furniture and equipment but don't let that fool you. I first started going to this office after the birth of my daughter and I was hopeful. The doctors were pleasant enough during my daughter's well visits. But over time, I realized that you do not see a doctor when your child is sick -- you deal with the nurse practitioner (NP). Initially, I accepted this meager care because my daughter was extremely healthy. After the birth of my son, although he was also generally healthy, by 6 months he developed a serious rash and chronic diarrhea. By the time he was 12 months his condition worsened and he dropped from the 64 % in weight to the 6%. I was out of my mind with concern but hopeful that the doctor knew what she was talking about until I realized that she was doing absolutely nothing for my son. I finally followed the advice of a family member who found me another pediatrician and my son was quickly diagnosed with Celiacs disease. After just one month of being on a gluten free diet, my son is perfect and thriving. When I later confronted this doctor and asked her why she never tested my son for Celiacs at his 12 month visit (when I was frantic) and she was already drawing his blood for a routine lead test, she said that she thought of Celiacs but she did not want to bombard him with blood tests. I should also note this same doctor failed to have my son's blood tested for any deficiencies and 5 days later a blood test performed by a different doctor revealed that my son was anemic and vitamin E deficient. I can go on an on about the mishaps that occurred. I was fortunate because I eventually trusted my instincts and the intervention of a friend (angel) who saved him from continued negligence and suffering. You should just be aware that it is the practice of this office that sick children do not see a doctor. Your children's sick phone calls and sick visits are handled by nurse practitioners and in the event that you need to speak to the person who you think is your doctor good luck because they will never return your phone call. You will get a call from a NP and if your child gets sick off hours, then you get to speak to some random NP. In the end, I was left with the feeling that the doctor was not even reading my son's chart to determine the obvious (he was not thriving) and I would have been better served by Google. I would also note, that when I confronted Dr. Cohen with my story, he reviewed my son's case and "did not blame me" for leaving his practice. read more

As an Active Duty Service member and Parent of a Tribeca Pediatrics patient I'm astounded by the level of professionalism provided by their resident Doctors.... But am far more amazed by the level of courtesy and care that is provided by the young lady at the front desk. On numerous occasions she has gone above and beyond her duties to not only ensure my appointments are well maintained but has also made my son and I feel like a part of the Family. Her customer service skills far exceed what is expected and she is the reason I will recommend the Berry Office to my Peers. If I could give this place 5 negative stars, I would. They insisted that we try doing this cry it out method for our 2 month old. I asked the doctor if she had any kids, she answered "no". I said well don't tell me to let my baby cry it out just so I can sleep train her. Its not necessary to sleep train a baby in this way. When my baby cries in the middle of the night its usually because something is wrong. Its not because she wants to be up playing for goodness sakes. A 2 month old does not need to go on sleeping for 10 hours with out feeding and if they get hungry it is only right that you feed them. This CIO method goes against every natural maternal instinct I have as a mother, and I did not like how pushy they got about it. Thats my first complaint. Second complaint: The staff is very cold, distant, and uninterested in the children. My own experience with a pediatrician as child was a fun, except for the vaccines. I remember my pediatrician being involved and listening to me and my parents about how I felt when I got sick, and being very warm and cozy toward me and my parents. I have brought my child here since it was born and from the very first appointment I have had nothing but stress after leaving the clinic. My child is now 2 months old, and I already have an appointment with another pediatrician. I wanted to give TP one more shot, but after what they did to my child, I chose not to. They misdiagnosed my baby with two different ailments that my baby did not have. I had to give my child antibiotics and other medicine for no reason. My baby had to undergo a very painful jab of the sinus to get a culture, it was horrifying to see my child scream in so much pain. And it could have all been avoided if the doctor had been listening to anything I said. My baby had a cold, and then had crust in its eye, which made me think my baby had pink eye, and thats why I brought my baby in. Well, the doctor didn't pay any mind to anything I said. She was just convinced that my baby had some serious bacterial infection and refused to listen to anything else I was saying about my child's symptoms. She kept asking me over and over if my baby had been throwing up, and I kept telling her. NO. My baby did not have this infection she spoke of or the symptoms. My baby had a normal cold. The culture of course came back negative. This doctor was unbelievably condescending and dismissive to anything my husband and I said to her about our child's symptoms. In her head she just "knew" my baby had this particular serious infection. She even went as far as to tell us we should pay attention to seizures in our baby! Incredible! I felt like I was dealing with a med student. I don't agree with the way they treated us as parents. We are with our child 24/7, we know our child. They should have been paying attention to what we were explaining to them regarding our child's symptoms. And she insisted my baby had something else. I went and got a second opinion and of course my child had neither of the ailments the TP doctor kept pushing on us. . But this lady wouldn't pay any mind to anything I or my husband said. In the end my baby suffered a very painful jab of to the sinus, having to take antibiotics with no need to and having to take other medicine with no need to. From day one I felt they were not very caring, and the first time I bring my child in for an ailment, they jumped at the opportunity to prescribe antibiotics and force a culture. I also don't like how they have nurses or PA's see the baby. I go to a pediatrician to see a DOCTOR not a nurse or PA. I would like to deal with the doctor each and every time. These reasons are why they lost my child as a patient. On the esthetics side: They have a very modern, non-cozy, "you don't want to touch anything" design to their offices. Thats all folks.. read more
