What a perfect gift brunch place with great music, service, and food…read more Food: So many appealing dishes to try! The mushroom onion burger was good and the mango salmon bowl was delicious. Dessert Recommended: Nutella French toast- to die for! Service: The servers here are friendly, kind, and helpful. Parking: This place is in a shopping plaza, plenty of parking.

We were greeted half heartedly and placed to be sat at a two seater table in a hallway. We were looked at odd for coming in with a stroller; the woman seemed annoyed by that. The tables are a bit too close to each other so trying to navigate having a stroller next to us was a bit uncomfortable. Our waitress came, brought water which was lukewarm, not iced. The food was average at best and overpriced I ordered the brigadeiro latte which did not come hot as a latte should, it was half cold and for almost $10, not worth it. My sister in law ordered the Ham and cheese croissant, which again for the price of $16 was not worth it-I've had better at Burger King. I ordered the bacon Benedict which was just alright, you can tell they don't use high quality ingredients, definitely not worth the $21 price tag. What really surprised me was the included tip for a table of 2. All in all we spent over $50 for the two mediocre plates and one coffee. I will not be back there are plenty of other spots in the area who welcome women with children and offer better food, service, and drinks at a lower cost.

This cozy, quiet cafe is located in the corner the plaza next to Mango Tree and other restaurants…read more It can be easy to miss it at first since it's on the side, but as you get close to their front side with scribbled windows and light up lamps inside, you'll notice the place. The latte and beef empanadas (that arrived scorching hot) were very tasty. Price-wise, it's kind of steep, but nothing will taste bad, I guarantee you. My latte also came with a little biscotti piece! Shanina (hope I spelled it right!) was welcoming and quick. She didn't hesitate to change my order after there was a little miscommunication. I mistakenly thought they served tiramisu flavored matcha. That was before deciding on the empanada. The pins with silly, cute messages that were by the register got my attention -- I decided get a couple of them! This would be great to invite your friends over to enjoy their bakery and beverages rather than an everyday thing.

I just wanted to share my experience on my first time to your cafe. It's a cute looking coffee shop but I cannot believe there's only one employee working doing everything--the order taking, preparing the food orders and preparing the coffee orders. When we first went in it was really smoky inside as if something had burned in the back kitchen. The lady was nice but we waited a long time to get our food. 30 min or more for a simple latte and bagel. We ended up being late for our appointment . And couldn't even stay to enjoy the ambiance, we had to rush. My friends cinnamon roll was burned. And we didn't open the box until we left. See photos i will post. You definitely should have more than one person working especially Friday busy morning. I've noticed a lot of businesses want to cut costs by not hiring more employees but in the long run the service and quality of food will go downhill.

Ally's Comfort Cafe - 136th and State Road 84 in Davie…read more I really did not want to leave this review. I tried with all of my might to do everything I could to not leave this review. Ally's comfort Café has been a staple in Northwest Davie forever. *Now, Ally, moved away a little while ago and new owners took over. They kept the same recipes which made us hopeful that things would pretty much remain the same. But little by little all of the staff that had been there for years started leaving. I think there's only a couple of the longtime staff left. We'll get back to the staff in a moment. My wife and I go to Ally's every Saturday morning. We go there have a great breakfast and then go to the Publix next-door to do our weekly shopping. There's obviously going to be hiccups when new owners take over a restaurant. We totally understand this. But some things are just not improving. They open at 8 AM on Saturdays. But, between 8 and 9 AM there's only one waitress and one bus boy this didn't always used to be the case. They used to have the full staff and someone at the door to take names. He would also help out by getting you drinks or more coffee if you needed it. It worked really well for the small family restaurant. The new owners took over and at some point they decided they only needed limited staff between 8 and 9 AM on Saturdays. And of course, every Saturday my wife and I go in there. It gets packed and the waitress is running around like her head is cut off and the busboy is overwhelmed. This isn't a one time thing it has been constant since they made the staffing change. It's completely unfair to the waitress and busboy and it's also a complete turn off to patrons who have to wait sometimes up to 10 or 15 minutes just for the poor waitress to come and take their order this morning. A couple waited 20 minutes before their order was taken. Also, the owner/manager doesn't get there until almost 9 herself, which means there's no management in the restaurant to help with the register or put out "fires." It. Is. Not. Working. Ally's has been known for their specials for years. They always have amazing special pancakes and special French toast. It's one of the main reasons we still go there. It's our little weekly treat. Lately the specials have been very monotonous. Some sort of jelly put on some French toast or some sort of cream put on a pancake. Not real imaginative for instance, today was banana cream and chocolate pancakes. It was a dollop of banana cream on a chocolate pancake that had little taste. One could've added some fresh bananas, or maybe some whipped cream on top of that. Meanwhile, the special pancakes and special French toast are often made wrong by the staff. This happened this morning. It took them twice to get the pancakes right and three times to get the French toast, right. Again, this is not a one time occur occurrence. We never complain. But we were surprised to still see those items on the bill and not discounted at all, but that's OK. The thing that really drove me to write this review, is that I waited for more than 10 minutes to speak to the owner/manager on our way out. I thought the best way to handle our dissatisfaction would be to speak to her personally. She disappeared into the kitchen, and even after the waitress went to tell her we were waiting to speak with her, she was nowhere to be found. No I understand things come up in the kitchen, but she could've at least came out and said hey I know you're here, I'm dealing with a problem, I'll be right back. But we waited and waited and waited and nothing despite all of the above, that's what irked me the most. I will say this. The food is still very good. And the waitresses and buses are amazing. None of this is their fault. They should all be paid more in dealing with a kitchen that can't get right and an owner that can't seem to figure out good customer service. We will certainly give them another chance, it's part of our routine. But after biting my tongue, I had to let everyone know what was happening at one of our favorite spots in Broward County.

It is in a great spot in the plaza right next to Tide Cleaners and near AA Mint & Culver's. We came right after sunrise at the beach and it wasn't too crowded but it really filled up after we were seated. We came with a pretty big party, 8 adults and 4 kids, and the staff was super helpful in getting us seated and taking our order. I got the Frittata Rustica (my fav) and then also ordered some items to go for my household. The service was fast, the inside was clean and spacious, and the food was delicious, as always. A great location of First Watch!

This was a solid breakfast stop after a run. I put in my name for a table on the app (and you…read moreshould too), showed up 10 minutes later, waited for a few minutes and was seated. Just as any other location, this one had a fair number of larger parties waiting for a table after 10 AM on a Saturday. But the wait is worth it if you ask me. Our server greeted us soon after we were seated and was very helpful with all of my questions about menu items. She accommodated my request to leave out sour cream on my dish (the Chickichanga), put Vera Cruz sauce on the side and add jalapeños. My photo of the dish looks real different and bare because of the changes haha. My one wish is for First Watch to have more spicy items available, but the jalapeños and the Cholula hot sauce at the table are the best spicy options I can find there. When I mentioned I like spicy food, our server offered the jalapeño addition and to add a red pepper sauce on the side for me to try. The jalapeño came pretty much sliced raw inside the dish but gave me that kick in each creamy bite that I was hoping for. Both sauces were great to dip into with my hot, gooey, chickeny Chickichanga and hearty seasoned potatoes. The red pepper sauce came off like a light aioli and the Vera Cruz sauce was a grown up queso, only because it had chopped peppers. I would take the kid version too if I could. The potatoes were cooked just right to being crispy on the outside without losing its texture on the inside. Our server continued to be helpful when I asked whether the sauces were mayo based (there was an egg allergy in my party). She went out of her way to speak to the kitchen and ask about them before returning to tell me that the Vera Cruz sauce does not have eggs while the red pepper sauce uses a hollandaise that is made off site, so they cannot verify its exact ingredients. Her handling of my inquiry was so thorough that I could have given her a hug if I hadn't been so sweaty and ragged looking. Thank you for a great breakfast!

Perfect cafè to enjoy a coffee with a freshly baked pastry. Probably would recommend visiting…read moreduring the weekdays due to the influx of thirsty customers swarming to the café on Saturday mornings. The overwhelming activity at the café was suprising since this is a relatively new business with zero café reference affixed to the exterior of the Flamingo Supermarket. I was alerted to the existence of the café solely from customer reviews. Word of mouth on social media is a strong tool for new small businesses. Tore off a ticket service number from the reel and waited impatiently to order my colada. As my antcipation grew, as well as my undeniable thirst, one more bakery employee would be beneficial and appreciated. My cherished number was finally called by the pleasant barista who brewed up a nice colada. Waited a few minutes and noticed the extensive assortment of traditional latino pastries and oversized custom cakes. My eyes grew wide as the chef loaded up the hot food display with giant bbq beef ribs (not exaggerating, they were massive - see pic). The hot colada was poured from a small metal kettle into the logo-free styrofoam cup as I felt a tear of joy rolling down my cheek straddling my wide smile. For .99 cents you can purchase a "shot" of espresso or a decent sized colada for $3.00. The bakery offers plenty of tables to relax and took refuge at one with my well deserved dark roasted Café Bustelo blended colada which tasted fantastic. No doubt, I will return to this cafè with friends on my next visit.
