So I normally wouldn't write a review on a hotel restaurant because I don't usually expect that much out of them. But this was so comical I just couldn't resist. the Henry is a cool hotel which is why I expected more. They have cool artwork everywhere and beautiful chandeliers. After a workout I headed to the restaurant for breakfast. No one was at the hostess station and we waited about 5 min for someone to finally come and seat us. Once seated, it took forever for out waitress to take our drink order and then even longer for her to take our food order. My friend ordered a Smoothie. When she brought it out, she proceeded to tell us how it was made from leftover berries from the buffet and how she buys turmeric from the dollar store and throws it in. Ummmm is that in line with health code for you to bring stuff from home to serve people? I ordered the chicken and waffle. It was the weirdest thing I have ever been served. I really wish I had taken a picture. There were two waffles, and I'm pretty sure they were Eggo, and two chicken breast. They were served on a plate with a bit of gravy on the bottom. Then there was hot sauce drizzled on the outside rim of the plate with fruit like blueberries and strawberries in it. there were 3 onion rings on top and a side of syrup. None of these things went together welll. Just an odd pile of food. Again it took forever for us to get the check. It's definitely not worth it. Just grab McDonald's instead. read more

Their brunch buffet is pretty solid - lots of hot & cold options, fresh fruit etc, but not sure it's worth $20 for weekend brunch. I ended up going for the French Toast off the a la carte menu (and staving off my hunger by picking at my friends' buffet plates) and it was pretty solid! Very soft & moist, not much variety in texture (I like my toast to have slight crisp), but still enjoyable. Much better than the French Toast that's sitting in the buffet, so don't make comparisons to that. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/VZf2lOhhhwSugCv6IK4V9g#d16cEZjxuldn9JmrJX-cVg Minus 1 star for the guy who gave us quite a bit of 'tude. My friend asked the host when our orders were coming because we ordered at 11 and it was 12 already. So had actually arrived at 11, and by the time the sat us all and came around to take our orders I guess it was more like 11:20. The host came back to tell us our orders were coming soon, and that *actually* we ordered at 11:20. Was it really necessary to say that, and to give us so much attitude about it?? read more

Tria - brioche French toast 3.5 stars - New American Near Me - Dearborn, Michigan

Located within the beautifully-appointed The Henry hotel, Tria was a convenient mid-point to meet for lunch. It had been a few months since we last caught up so we jumped from topic to topic while making our final lunch selections from the digital menu. One thing was certain: dessert was a must today. I started with a larger-than-expected side salad of field greens, cucumbers and grape tomatoes, topped with crumbled bacon and blue cheese in light vinaigrette. The combination was delicious. Equally delicious, fun and surprising was the basket of piping-hot popovers served with the meal, along with two types of butter. As entrée, I went with the Apple-encrusted Whitefish. The perfectly-prepared fish was subtly flavored and served with these amazing crispy Brussels sprouts. The smashed potato was uninspired when compared to the rest of the dish. I was quite full by the time we ordered dessert but was glad that I forged on. I had set my sights on the 12 Sisters chocolate cake as soon as I saw it. Twelve alternating layers of chocolate and white chiffon cakes and dark and white chocolate icing made for an arresting sight. With a liquor-infused ice cream gelato dusted with cocoa and a sugar-spun dish filled with berries, dessert was incredible. I foresee more lunches here, as long as they keep serving popovers. Service was fine. Be sure to take a moment (or more) to view the large art collection at this hotel. No matter how often I am here, the collection quite takes my breath away. read more

BF and I had tickets to visit the Greenfield Village, so we wanted to stop for brunch before we went. There are honestly not too many options around the Village. BF suggested TRIA, which I had looked at previously. It's essentially a hotel restaurant, but it's a pretty decent one. The hotel itself is very nice and we were greeted by the doormen right away when we entered. Menus are on iPads here, which was pretty snazzy. We both opted for the Eggs Benedict with an added side of bacon to share. The bacon was perfect - crispy and crunchy. The eggs benedict was good, but nothing spectacular. Coffee was solid. Our waiter was fairly inattentive. He kind of disappeared after our food came and then did not reappear for a long, long time. We were probably sitting there for a solid 15-20 minutes looking for him in order to get our check. They have a breakfast buffet as well as a la carte items, but we opted to go a la carte since neither of us eats too much for breakfast. read more

Let me start off by saying this place is BEAUTIFUL! From the lobby, to the dining rooms, cocktail area and even the hallway to the bathrooms. We had reservations and the front receptionist greeted up promptly and took us to our table and provided us with their digital menus on tablets. We had the best server ever, shout out to you Phillip! We were celebrating a birthday and he was able to take the cake we brought with us and bring it to the table when we were ready. He even provided us with candles (we had forgot in the car and it was raining cold outside) and complimentary espresso. The dishes were delicious and their beef was even Halal! Would come back here with future celebrations for sure! read more

I heard TRIA did a great happy hour, so my husband and I decided to try it. We didn't make it in time, and instead had an early dinner. We loved the ambiance. It's super cozy, yet classy at the same time. I ordered the lobster roll and my husband ordered the club. Both were good, but nothing I have to come back running for. The chef was very generous with the lobster, considering the $16 price tag. But there was too much celery, and made the sandwich watery. The flavor was good, but I wasn't fond of the consistency. The service was also very slow. It took about ten minutes for someone to greet us. We were surprised it took so long, considering there were only two other tables beside us. While the service was slow, the servers were very friendly. I would definitely come back and try something else off the menu. read more

Tria - Lobster Roll - New American Near Me - Dearborn, Michigan

Food was not up to their usual standards. The gnocchi chicken entree tasted like it had been reheated in microwave and the apple muffin crust on whitefish was burned. Should've sent it back but in disbelief that the kitchen would send it out like that. A really disappointing experience. read more

Tria is a lovely restaurant for a special meal. I've only been for lunch but it was good enough that I went back and took my mother for the lobster roll. It's hard to find a cheap lobster roll outside of New England, and while not cheap, Trina's is reasonably priced compared to others and also quite tasty with a very decent amount of lobster meat, including claw meat. The bread that they serve at Tria is great! It's like little popovers, which you absolutely must try if you've never had them. They're like eggy, airy puffs of bread. For dessert, we split the assortment of 5 mini desserts, which consisted of two truffles and three bite size desserts (key lime pie, lemon tart and as I recall a cheesecake bite). Probably not worth $8 in retrospective, and If I went in future and ordered dessert I'd probably get one of the full size desserts. Interestingly, the dessert choice varied from $5-6 (assortment of three mini desserts) to $20 or so (chocolate soufflé). No need for a reservation for lunch, except maybe during the holiday season. read more

Terrible service My husband had a dinner meeting last night The first thing the hostess asked him if this was a date. He answered firmly "no". The hostess proceeded to ask if he was sure it wasn't a date. He again replied " no this is not a date"! What kind of garbage is this? Then his food came. He specifically asked for no bacon on his hamburger. Of course the waiter brought the burger with bacon which had to be taken back. This is Dearborn. Close to half of the residence are Muslims. Why would you offer halal meat with pork bacon? Does not make any sense Will not be going there again! Avoid this establishment read more

Incredible quality food and level of culinary skilled dishes. Especially for being a hotel restaurant. Very friendly greeter/ host in Richard. Exceptionally slow table greeting and drink service but we were in the bar area seating. Bone in filet and sides were to die for, Caesar salad had no flavor. One of the best chicken & waffles I have ever had when we ate breakfast the next morning. Overall decor and vibe was nice. read more

Used this venue for a 16th birthday party for my daughter. Apparently the General Manager's friends can come and go as they please from party to party, eating and drinking. I give this place - the Henry as well, a complete zero for lack of tact in managing a situation that got out of control. 3k for the birthday girl to end up in the ladies room with her friends from school, crying. The GM Alan Osborne, is uncouth, loud and arrogant. He needs to be replaced. Our order wasn't even correct let alone his friends calling me a f***** b***** in front of my guests and a priest who couldn't get over the entire thing. Oh- then they locked us out of our rooms as another humiliation. They may have remodeled the former Ritz Carlton into a seemingly swanky Autograph Marriott Hotel, but in this case, you can't put lipstick on a pig. read more

Not good. Short staff would explain the lousy service but the food was horrible also. The caesar salad was the only decent thing

I have had two meals here. Deerborn has changed over the years, in this restaurant is new. It is in a hotel lobby but there is not a hotel feel. They have free valet parking. The last time I was in I got the steak Frites which were amazing. Their happy hour menu is second to none in the area. It is a classy and upscale environment. The price of the meal and ambience are well worth it. read more

Food was ok, but nothing to get too excited about good. I had a grilled salmon and mixed green salad. I think my BF had some Caesar and some rack of lambs or what looked like lamb. He loved his food, I thought mine was just okay. He has dragged me to this place a couple of more times. Still not in love with this place. read more

This was a great meal. Bread was wonderful. French onion soup was hot and seasoned well. I had the pasta and my husband had the white fish. Both were delicious. Awesome place, love the food and staff, this has been an amazing experience and will return on a weekly basis!

Wow!! Amazing food with lots of flavor. Appetizer: crispy Brussels sprouts with smoked pork belly. Salads: the ultimate and the capers...so good!! The bread was hot, crispy, buttery and flavorful AND the butter wasn't hard. Perfectly soft for spreading. Entree: New York Steak cooked medium rare and the Lobster filled crab cakes with maple glazed cooked carrots. It's been a very long time since a meal was so good. Thank you Tria; chef, waitresses, hostess/host, and bartender. You made our experience unforgettable. Looking forward to the new pork tacos before we must leave town to finish our trip. read more

Don't understand how this place has 4 stars.. it was completely repulsive. Everything from beginning to end was disappointing. I took my Boyfriend here for V-day/Birthday and I felt so bad that I allowed him to eat this food. Disappointing, and seriously overpriced. ___ the steaks were cooked correctly (out of 4 courses thats the only thing that was right).___ read more

We enjoyed drinks on two evenings in the bar area at Tria, as well as lunch in the restaurant. Tria has a surprisingly good selection of bottled beers, including many midwestern brewers' offerings such as Bells and Great Lakes. We made the mistake of focusing narrowly on the less impressive draft selections, then noticed the fridges full of delicious variety later. We also had sangria, which was a special offering, and found it pretty tasty. A special shout-out to our server who let us finish the carafe when we came by the bar juuuussst after last call. The food was what I consider typical upscale bistro fare: Soups and salads, "nice" macaroni and cheese, salad and seafood offerings. Everyone thought their food was fine but no raves. The main negative at Tria was the spottiness of the service. All of the servers were exceptionally nice, but service was also consistently slow--so much that they comped me a coffee and soft drink because I'd had to wait over 20 minutes for my check for those two items. Tria is one of those hotel restaurants you go to for convenience, but it really isn't half bad. Ask about the bottled beers. (PS--the hours listed here for Tria must refer to the food service hours; they are certainly open much later for bar service, at least on Friday and Saturday. We were served drinks around midnight both nights.) read more

I ate dinner and breakfast while staying at the hotel. I was solo so I ate dinner at the bar and I have to say I had a fine meal with none of the service issues others have reported. Service was fast and food came out right away. I had the French Onion soup as appetizer and two other appetizers--a salad and steamed mussels--as the main course. Everything was delicious, although the mussels could have used a little more garlic. The bartender had a couple of miscues, such as giving me the silverware across the bar with the handles facing him, not me. And when I ordered hot tea, he didn't ask what kind of tea I wanted, instead pot with tea (and not the kind I wanted) just appeared. But the other positive aspects of his service and food overcame that. The dining room is not big and the ambiance was classy and cozy with a gas fireplace going next to the bar. Breakfast the next morning was similarly high quality and I was impressed with the attentive service throughout. As I was seated I was asked if I wanted coffee and orange juice and those were poured right away. The manager stopped by a couple of times to ask if I needed anything. The buffet is a bit jury rigged, mostly set up on the bar top, and the selection is not huge. There is a cold selection of cereal, toast, fruits, etc. but the hot buffet is scrambled eggs, potatoes and bacon and sausage and that's it. But the buffet is only $15, not bad for a high end hotel. I would definitely eat here again when staying in the hotel or when in the area. read more

Excellent Customer Service from the moment we walked in for dinner. We had just gotten into town, was staying at The Henry so we didn't make hotel reservations but the hostess was very gracious and helpful, she even told me to make a reservation on Open Table so I would get my points! Then the server was nice, most attentive and so was the rest of the crew. I had the lamb which was cooked to perfection and my husband had the pork ribs with corn bread soaked in butter? It was delish!!! We shared a banana split for dessert with cappuccino and the presentation for the banana split was very artsy, looked too beautiful to be devoured but we did anyways and it was awesome!!! read more

I'm conflicted on how many stars to give for my recent experience at Tria's for breakfast. Upon arrival, the hostess was talking to a couple in front of us and then she disappeared for about 15 minutes. The couple left. My friend and I waited, a few people were now behind us and asking if we had given our name, if anyone was coming back.... eventually the hostess returned, took our name and said it would be a few minutes. There were plenty of set tables, so I'm not sure what took another 7 minutes. We were seated and waited and waited for a server. The hostess came back and said if we were having the buffet, we could help ourselves. So we did. We drank the bottle of water and were half way through our first plates of food when a waiter brought coffee to the man seated next to us (the customer even offered us coffee). I asked for more water and the waiter snatched the bottle out of my hand and said, "I'll be back!" Well, it was another 12 minutes for the water to arrive at which time we both asked for orange juice. That took a while too.... you can probably draw the conclusion that the service was very slow and not very friendly. The food though was pretty good. Everything that was supposed to be hot, was hot, the cold stuff was cold. The scrambled eggs were cooked perfectly. The bacon was crispy and the sausage was properly prepared. The potatoes and onion dish was delicious. The French toast with berries held up well, nothing was soggy and the French toast had decent flavor. Pastries were limited. Oatmeal was excellent. The watermelon had a funky grapefruit taste, but the rest of the fruit was fresh. The food was refilled pretty quickly. Finally, the price...on their website the price is listed as $23.95 per person. The bill for the buffet was over $25 per person. I'm not sure the breakfast buffet was worth either cost and the service certainly wasn't worth the visit. We won't be back. read more

Oddly this place is never very full. I don't know why because the food is extremely good and the service is off the charts good. How luxurious this restaurant is!! I want to hire the interior designer for myself. Located inside the Henry hotel, we walked in and were greeted by a man with a top hat. Yes, I love that!! So our hostess was kind of taken aback that we didn't have reservations, ok at 6:30pm I understand but the place was not that full. Taken to our table, we had the most pleasant funniest waiter...Alan. Oh man that bread that is brought out, superb. Flaky, and not doughy, delish. Couldn't put my finger on what exactly the butters were made of? One was sweet and the other my friend said tasted like salmon? Nonetheless, bread and butter is my guilty pleasure. Can eat all day every day if it wasn't so bad for you. I ordered the cirocoritta martini, tasted so good and made strong the way I like it. Being that we weren't that hungry, I ordered the Margherita bread and my friend ordered the fruit platter. Bread tasted ok, came out cold and would've liked more cheese on it. After our little pic at food, I ordered the creme brûlée....amazing. Thin dish is what I like. Can't wait to come back and try more menu items. Maybe be strong enough to finally try oysters!! read more

My wife, 2 sons and I had a very nice dinner tonight at Tria in the Henry Hotel in Dearborn. A delicious basket of cooked on site bread and a nice tomato/crab bisque started things off. Youngest son had the lobster Mac n cheese which appeared to have a whole lobster tail served with it. Delicious! My wife had the margarita flat bread with balsamic reduction. Delicious! Older son had the Parmesan crusted white fish. Super delicious. And I had one of the more tasty hamburgers I've ever had (the Henry Burger with bacon, cheese and a sunny side egg on perfectly toasted brioche bun). My fries were hand cut and cooked fresh with great potato flavor. The roasted Brussels sprout side was killer. All in all, a very nice experience with very attentive and proper service. It wasn't cheap but it was worth every penny. Great drinks and wine too! Way to go Henry! read more

Absolutely crazy. $65 for a 10 oz filet that was overly seasoned, burnt and dry. This is definitely below par for the atmosphere and hotel.

I have lived in the area and worked across the street for years and have never come here. My dad told me I should try this place out since he liked it. I took him up on his word, yeah, it's defiantly worth coming back. I had a salad that was great. I also got one of the steaks (I forgot what one I got) It was so large that it came with a beef bone and rib! I was not expecting that but it was a great touch to the meal. I thought the meat was cooked perfectly. I usually get my steaks medium rare- medium and this one was done just right. My wife and I also had some good drinks to go along with our meals. In my opinion the drinks were good enough to make you want to get a second one. To end, we got a desert that was awesome! One of the challenging parts to this meal was you had an iPad that showed you the food you could order. Normally this is a good thing, however, I could not seem to agree with my wife on a desert, THEY ALL LOOKED THAT GOOD!!! I mentioned the iPad or tablet as a menu, I have seen that before in other restaurants but this one got it right. Dont feel fooled, this is not "typical hotel food". You should come here!!! read more
