My boyfriend and I stayed at The Henry while we visited Dearborn. We had breakfast at Tria each morning, and ordered room service one evening. Overall, the food was incredible. We both tried the prime rib, which was cooked perfectly and the portion was great. The Henry also offered the best selection of local beers at any of the restaurants we visited. As for the breakfast buffet, it was amazing every morning. The service was great, especially considering we were on the breakfast plan. My boyfriend really liked the french toast, while I really enjoyed the omelette. The selection outdid most restaurant breakfasts I've tried. read more

This place was decent. We ordered the crab cakes and steak frites. Ordered the steak medium. Definitely came out on the more rare side. Sent it back and it came back looking really similar. Didn't want to send back again. The Mac n cheese was really peppery. So we sent it back. Second time around was really good! When the waitress came to box things up I said "the steak was still undercooked." She did apologize. And take 8 bucks off. I thought the mgr prob should have come over. But whatever. Didn't happen. read more

I had the burger and it was A1. Roasted red pepper soup was very flavorful and seasoned perfectly. Wife had the turkey club and she said it wholesome and fresh. The kids menu was amazing. Sylvana, the bartender, made us an excellent cocktail. Thanks for the great experience!! read more

The food, service and presentation were all great. Their electronic menu shows the food as very little quantity but we were full after sharing a main meal. The lamb was very good not the 12 Sisters cake was phenomenal! read more

Overall great experience service was really really wonderful, everyone from the hostess to the server to the bartender, food was good we had the cheese plate and the shrimp tacos which were delicious, but stay away from the venison chop it had the potential to be delicious as the seasoning was very flavorful but it was cooked to the point of hockey puck, venison jerky status, I tried to eat it but couldn't get it down when I thought about it later I regret not sending it back and getting it taken off the bill so they would know how bad it was. read more

First time at the Tria. Very nice atmosphere and we enjoyed the electronic menu. Our waitress seemed bothered to be working but luckily when we ordered wine she called over the wine specialist who ended up waiting on us for the rest of the night. He suggested a great bottle of white wine that tasted fantastic paired with our cheese appetizer. Everything was delicious from the Appetizer to the French onion dip we shared. Our entrées which were the chicken halal and the pork were so flavorful and cooked perfectly. Wish we had room to try the sweets. Next time! I would give this place 5 stars if our original waitress was nicer to us. All in all good and we will be back. read more

Was at The Henry for a work event, and didn't want to venture out for dinner (7am flights will do that to you). The iPad menu with pics was really cool, and made everything look so good I couldn't decide what I wanted. I ended up with a french onion soup, Henry salad, and a whitefish taco. The food came out really fast, and everything was delicious. The dressing on the salad was a creamy vinaigrette, excellent. Fish taco had nice flavor, a little smoky. My only complaint about the french onion soup is that I wish it were bigger =p Some of the best hotel food I've had. Reasonable prices. Friendly bartenders too, I ate at the bar. read more

Went here for an anniversary dinner; I'd scoped out the menu online beforehand and knew to order our dessert, a hot souffle, with a good 25-minute lead time. I ordered two of the cold "small plate" vegetable dishes (the fennel and the beets with walnuts) and the risotto of the day (lemon-thyme); my spouse ordered the scallops with a side of spinach. We also were offered a complimentary bite of french toast with blackberry sauce, which was good enough that I'm curious about breakfast there. Service was attentive and the courses were all well-paced; the chocolate souffle arrived at the right time. The scallop entree and the two small plates were excellent, the risotto was very good, and the souffle with creme anglaise was phenomenal. The staff also brought out a "Happy Anniversary" truffle plate as a final touch. On the downside, one of the bread plates at our table had a smear that looked like red lipstick and the silverware in my place setting had an unsightly residue. I agree with an earlier reviewer that the bread selection offered could have been better-- the cheese crisps were different but not really to my liking and the rolls were so-so. But all the other dishes concentrated on a few key ingredients, resulting in dishes that were flavorful without being overpowering. The wine list was extensive; we were happy with our choices and I appreciate being able to control the serving size of the glass (2 oz, 5 oz, 8 oz). read more

Very good food, I like that they offered halal meat, and the atmosphere was very tasteful. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I can't remember what me or my husband ordered, which makes me feel like we must not have been that moved by our food. The chocolate layer cake was really good! read more

Outstanding food in elegant atmosphere. White fish was mild and tender with a unique flavor

We chose this restaurant for our anniversary dinner and were delighted with the service, menu and food. Everything served piping hot and delicious. Would definitely recommend this restaurant. read more

Great place for lunch or dinner for any occasion. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. I have eaten here numerous times and the food and service has always been top notch!! Food always has great flavor, cooked to perfection, and nice presentation. Not bad at all for a hotel restaurant. The Duck was good, not fantastic. The white bean and ham soup was a nice starter though. Ordered the soufflé and it was very ending. Wine list very nice. Pretty good for Dearborn. read more

We had the tomato flat bread which was excellent , followed by lamb chops which melted in my mouth... and dessert !!! Fantastic key lime pie and small pastries ... one was fudge with whipped chocolate and a pecan , the other was a bite of lemon slice.... we went there on a Saturday night , there were a few tables and one waiter , but service was excellent ... can't say anything bad about the place ! Tria - New American Near Me - Dearborn, Michigan

Stayed at the Henry hotel for a wedding. It was pretty cold outside so we ate at the hotel restaurant Tria quite frequently. The food here is really good everything appears to be made fresh salads are outstanding try the shop to go for breakfast it's definitely something you probably never had before it's tomatoes a poached eggs and and is Israeli. The staff was awesome, loved our server Bridgit. read more

Excellent service, excellent Smoked Flatbread at lunch.

We arrived with a group of 17... It was a mixed group of people grandparents, little kids and I'm betweens. We all found something great to eat. Our table ordered the pork platter, steak frites, small bites, appetizers, soups and salads. The kids had Mac and cheese plus chicken fingers. No one was disappointed and all was eaten. We wrapped up with the seven sisters cake, flan and lots of other desserts. We also enjoyed wine, craft beers and mixed drinks. No one was disappointed. Our tab was $610 including tax and tip. Good times. read more

Excellent food in a great atmosphere. Cocktails are a tad overpriced, but that's how resturant drinks work.

Was in Dearborn for Marker Faire and ate here due to yelpers. I was happy, solid place to eat...service was courteous and fast...grilled cheese was delicious! read more

It's more like a 3.5 out of 5. My girlfriend and I were staying at a hotel nearby and fine dining in Dearborn isn't real common. We decided to try Tria because the reviews were decent and because we couldn't get a table at Roast downtown at the time I wanted. I didn't expect too much. The restaurant is beautiful aesthetically. The service was fantastic. The food was just average. I probably won't go back, but it's a good place if you live in Dearborn and don't want Middle Eastern, Sushi or Pizza. Had the elephant garlic appetizer which is quite mild and bland tasting (naturally). We both had the NY Strip (which they serve cut up) which was good enough. Again nothing to write home about as far as the food but the whole experience was good and I wasn't disappointed. read more

Been to TRIA an number of times and appreciate the opportunity to try small plates that you don't see in other restaurants. The Bite Flights are wonderful as are the banana peppers and grilled cheese. It's a comfortable place to sit and have a drink and eat a light meal. Breakfast is good as well but is the usual fare - well-executed. The staff is quite special and the majority of them have worked in the restaurant for many years - pre-dating TRIA's existence. While the food is good, it's the staff that make the restaurant special whether you're eating alone or having a business meeting. It's an easy choice if you're staying in the hotel or live/work nearby. read more

Terrible service and the place was empty. We made a reservation through OpenTable since the restaurant had good reviews. The busser brought us water and a bread basket and was the only one to come to our table in the 30 minutes we waited for service. And, the restaurant had the nerve to cancel my reservation with OpenTable. Worst service ever. read more

First impression was wonderful... doorman in long coat tails opened my car door and we walked in to a string quartet playing. The feeling of being somewhere special lasted less than a minute. We stood in the restaurant for 5 minutes before someone noticed we were there...the hostesses were busy chatting. I was under the inpression that this would be a fine place to dine and reservations were needed...Reserve a table? We were there for 2 hours and only 2 other tables were occupied. We started with the drink menu and decided on Blueberry Mojito's- sounded fun and different... but our waitress admitted they weren't good and advised that we get Mai Tai's instead. So they keep something NOT good on their menu... The bread rolls and parmisian crackers were very good- still warm. Everything else we ordered was way below par....grilled cheese sandwich was sickening sweet with onions, french onion soup the same....the Henry Burger was too big to bite into and the roasted chicken wasn't fully cooked. Kudo's to our waitress- she was honest and attentive. She sensed we were not happy and gave us desserts on the house. The sorbets were wonderful. The string quartet was a bonus- they happened to be just practicing. This is NOT a fancy quaint place to bring someone special. It's a dive restaurant in a fancy hotel. I learned the hard way... read more

Very good place. Fabulous appetizers and desserts. Salads so-so. I had heard the ceaser was great but only so-so now. it wasn't on the menu and I think they switched to bottled dressing. The short ribs were amazing...the lamb chop not so much..poor quality meat..very fatty. The server was wonderful. I'll return but I won't get the lamb. read more

No doubt the place looks fancy inside the hotel but the service was horrible . My wife ordered Mac and Cheese for our 3 year old to go and she ended up paying around $25.00 . She confronted the person who took the order and he went in the back and never came back . She was charged twice and tips was include when she did not even dine in . Extremely rude As Mariott member . I get free breakfast buffet at the restaurant on site on the weekend every time the concierge lounge is closed on weekends. We were charge a Stupid $5.00 dollar fee per person for going to the omelette station. This charge was presented to us when we received the check . The manager stated that this charge was to make up for the cost of the free breakfast we had . I did not mind paying the $10.00. It was a great deal for buffet for two people however we felt very uncomfortable about the manager's explanation which doesn't make sense. And asked if this was a Marriott policy and he stated it was not. Even though we get free breakfast the next day we went somewhere els to eat where we felt comfortable and paid more . read more

I have begun to eat here several times each week, sometime for both lunch and dinner, as I am in Detroit for work so regularly. TRIA has a daily "chalkboard" of specials and no lack of steady options on their menu. The iPad-like menu allows you to tap on a menu item and see what the dish would look like prior to ordering which helps if you're one of the kind of eaters who likes to eat with their eyes and their mouths! I say this because TRIA is strong on food presentation. The staff are absolutely amazing. I experience true hospitality at TRIA and I feel it is a genuine interaction with the patrons. Food is great and worth the cost. The atmosphere, even on the busiest of days, is never too noisy to have a quiet, personal conversation with someone at your table. And I can't stress enough how awesome the staff is, especially the team at the bar! read more

The best restaurant was fabulous, our waitress was a breath of fresh air, perfect night. Thankyou

The best restaurant in the area!! The atmosphere was fun and welcoming and the food was outstanding. They have a variety of options, all of which are exceptional. Our server, John, could not have been better! Overall a great restaurant with incredibly friendly staff, can't go wrong here! read more

TRIA is one of those restaurants that doesn't know what exactly what it wants to be. First off...the little complimentary taste of what they are specializing in for that week that was brought to us before we even ordered our drinks was just silly...it was truly forgettable so I can't even describe it. The menu was a bit confusing...you got small plates, you got sides, you got items to share, you got entrees and it is hard to tell what is a meal sized portion or a starter. We ordered The Henry salad which was quite good, very rich vinaigrette that I just love. However, as I am enjoying my salad I bit into some lettuce that was gritty...come on, a place of the stature should be washing their lettuce thoroughly. I let it go because it was towards my finishing the salad...I should have said something! The bread was stale...again, a restaurant of this caliber should be serving HOT bread. My meal was just okay...I got the pork at the recommendation of our server...it was actually a bit dry. I was also turned off by the way they accompanied my meal with the asparagus...the meal came with Brussels sprouts which I don't like. Requesting something else was graciously accepted and I was offered asparagus...yum! Not so much...they had cut the asparagus, actually almost diced it and for some reason were really unappealing. Overall, I wasn't pleased with the meal...I might try it again in the future and just get a salad and maybe a starter. read more

Arrived as tourists, visiting The Henry Ford Museum, and left our dinning experiences feeling like locals that have dinned many times. We have stayed at many hotels and found our dinning experience at Tria to standout amongst the rest. The menu offerings appealed to all of our family at breakfast and dinner and the tipping point that kept us dinning in the hotel was the service provided by our server at breakfast and dinner - both worked hard to make us happy. The staffed helped us navigate our daughters allergies and when we experienced issues with our food at dinner they were quickly addressed and owned by our server Paul and were resolved quickly. Our visit and experience were better because of the Tria staff -- thank you. read more

This is a great hotel. The service and staff are amazing. Rooms are clean and currently in the process of updating. Our last stay was greatly enhanced by the front desk agent Hunter. Last month we were disappointed by our room since it did not meet our reservation request. Hunter more than corrected matters. We received an upgrade with complimentary breakfast. The service and staff were impeccable but Hunter set the tone and the stage. We were well serviced in the restaurant by several staff, but Paul was most remarkable. We visit the area often and we are back again. Hunter was not on the desk but Jo, the supervisors was and he made our stay special. We walked into the restaurant and Paul greeted us and let us know he recalled us. He even recalled our cocktail order and preferred table. He was gracious and attentive per usual. People make a place and an experience. This is our go to hotel in this area. read more

Rick (our server and bartender) was absolutely amazing. I cannot express my satisfaction with the extremely high quality of both food and service received. Disappointed last week after setting a reservation for a business dinner over the phone. Since Open Table was blocked, too many rezzies, I called. The person messed up the time, did not accurately record the phone number and just didn't listen. Our party arrived to hear that they had tried to call, the wrong number...luckily they accommodated us. And proceeded to drag out our dinner to nearly 3 hours. Incredible slowness to the service, albeit politely. The hostess and server seemed oblivious to the dining experience. Drinks and appetizers took a really long time, entrees?? Even longer. A snooty attitude from the hostess and complete ignorance from the manager ensured we won't choose this venue again Too bad really, because the vibe, decor and the food were really quite nice. Poor service experience-TRIA loses a repeat customer. read more

The food is very good. Great morning buffet and dinner was tasty. I was a guest at the Henry so ate there 3 times over 3 Days. If it weren't for the quality of food and nice atmosphere, I would rate it a one star because of service. All 3 times, the wait staff was hard to track down. Never checked on table. Had to get up and find them to get the check. The place was never super busy. They just weren't around. At dinner, a friend needed to ask for several beers on the menu before finding one they weren't "out of." They were even out of several entrees! It wasn't late in the evening either. The staff was pleasant but just disappeared. If you have time to wait for everything, I highly recommend. read more

Not super impressed but it does the trick. I was here for business and got in late so just wanted something light and easy. Upon arriving I was not really intrigued by anything on the menu. If I was in a different mood, I may have been, but I have been eating so heavy I just wanted something light and on the healthier side. That was not what I found. A lot of the options were cooked in butter or cheese, even the veggies and the main courses were primarily red meat. They do have a decent wine list and I was able to find a few that fit my palate. I sat at the bar, since it was just me and right away the bartenders greeted me. They were very friendly and helpful. The menu is on an ipad kind of device, which I am not a fan of since I think it can be a pain when the pad gets sticky and you have to hit it over and over again for it to work properly. I think the bartender could tell I was getting frustrated so she politely came over and offered me a few suggestions. After figuring out what I was in the mood for she suggested adding the salmon to any of the salads. I went ahead with her suggestion and ordered the arugula salad with the salmon. I was really pleased with my choice. The salmon was a bit dry, but I was fine with that since like I mentioned the fish I had been eating while on this trip was heavy and covered in sauce. It was nice to just have a plain grilled salmon with a fresh salad. I gave me just what I was looking for in the end. Not the best place in the world, but considering your options in the area and if you are looking for something convenient, this is a good option. read more
