I am writing this how disappointed and dissatisfied we are with Clinton Glass. Clinton Glass was…read morecontracted to replace eight 6ft long x 2 1/2 wide pieces of glass roofing in our kitchen. After the job was complete we noticed the following: -A piece of copper fascia board was left hanging off the front trim where the glass was installed. The screws on this over 20 foot long piece of copper were pulling away from the house. Clinton Glass was aware of this before project started. They said they would address it. They simply screwed a board in over the board that was hanging off and left it. If I didn't climb on my kitchen counter to see what they did I would not have known. -They came back and addressed this issue. Unfortunately at the sometime we noticed that there were large gaps left between outside and the glass they installed. The gap is so deep that I am able to stuff 2 rolls of weather stripping into each area they have left open to the outside. -We have condensation on every piece of glass that is exposed to the outside. Again each one has a 1 and 1/2 gap directly to outside. -Owner who gave quote never came to job site while work was being completed. -I was told to not to have any water run on the panels or they will leak. I do need to clean them and can't clean them unless I run water on them!!! -Emailed 2x for them to come back out. Upon them coming out, they were 45+ minutes late, more time I lost at work over this project. Mike the owner had nothing to say in the less than 30 minutes they were here. He only let his employee Judd speak to inform me that they were "only contracted to replace glass" and nothing more. Told me it needed to be insulated and they have no idea how that can be done or who can help me. -We have spent over 12k on this project. We are beyond frustrated and annoyed with Clinton Glass and the owner Mike Spots. In my 30 years of homeownership this has got to be the worst experience I have ever had.

It's currently mid-June and my windshield has yet to be repaired. Let's take a trip down memory lane on how we got to a situation where five months later, I still am driving around with a cracked windshield. January: I file my claim. I set up an appointment. Things are going great. A few days before the appointment I get a call. My glass is unavailable. They have to reschedule, but they really don't know when it's going to be in. February: Where's my windshield? How do I even get through to a person at the New London store? Don't worry, we'll get it to you soon. March: Where's my windshield? Oh - we couldn't get ahold of you! (THEY NEVER CONTACTED ME) We sent it back! We'll call you when it comes back in. April: I go on vacation... and life takes over. But no one from Safelite contacts me. May: I contact my insurance agency in frustration. Finally we get an appointment scheduled in June. Today: Today was my appointment. My husband took off work from 12-5 today. I even got an email saying they scheduled a tech. At 4:30 he contacts me because no one has shown up. I call the number on the email and after saying "representative" a few times, I'm connected with an employee. She assures me that I'm still on the schedule, but if the tech doesn't show up by 5, then please call back. 5 PM rolls around and no one. I call back and I get a voice recording.... with no voice mail option. We call the insurance agency. They have no way to contact anyone at the company either. So where's the windshield? I don't know. Where's my technician? I'm not sure. Will my windshield ever get replaced? You've got me. Will someone ever call me back? Highly doubtful. Will Safelight Customer Service comment on this post and encourage me to call some number only to talk to artificial intelligence? HIGHLY LIKELY.

The guy pulls in and leaves and tells them I cancelled and I never spoke to him. Lady on phone says its a mistake and then blames me saying I refused to pay. I have the settlement money and pre authorized payments. They offered me a 4th appointment and told me there tech is really good. They declined to send tech so I can speak to him about how we never talked. Claiming shes not going to send him here to fight. No one said anything about fighting. Its about accountability and service. Which safelite doesnt offer. Dont waste your time here if your busy. I will be sending corporate a bill for wasting my time.

My window are the rollout type of windows on an A frame house to set the scene. What arrived to do the actual work were teens, not that I age discriminate but I don't think they were old enough for Rate at R movies yet. But hey so I thought they are young and had the energy to do the work, right? WRONGO! The quality of their work was laughable...to a point since I was paying them. They got to "work" one kid on the outside with a MY hose not a powerwasher...and the other inside, there was a 3rd boy but he must have been the projwct manager because I saw him once. When the kid on the inside "finished" the 1st window he asked me if it was okay? I went over to look and I'm like which window did you do? It was so bad I couldn't see the difference. He literally took window cleaner sprayed the window and wiped it clean....that's it! The screens and the inside casings were not touched. I showed the kid the order which listed screens and casings. His comment oh I didn't know that, he quicky did a once over. When they were done with the reachable windows I asked them about the high windows, ya know the ones I can't reach and hired them to do, one boy said wow sorry we can't do those high top windows we don't have a big ladder. I showed him the quote again and he said well we can't do either inside or out. I stood there in a amazement. I could barely get words out I was in shock. I gave them the check and sent them off. Sorry no tips I lost enough money on this. It's no wonder they call themselves Fish Windows, it's not just in their name but they apparently use fish to clean them too. My windows were worse when they left and I ended up redoing the ones I could reach. No I didn't call them, to say what? tell them they suck? Nah not to mention...A. I didn't want them back and....B. I'll just hire another company this season worth the money.
