Somehow my car decided to die on me driving to Ca. So I had to stay a few days in Amarillo. When I arrived at Ford everyone Especially Delena Kelly were so nice. It was a big job under warranty thank God . But the parts would take a few days. They were kind enough to drive me back Rebecca who drove me is so lovely. And I stayed 2 more days at my hotel. And I was approved for a rental car, even though Enterprise dropped the ball. And spouted out some Corp bs that made it impossible for me to do anything. So no car for me. And I stayed in my hotel since that Friday night. And I was going stir crazy lol. Everyone made sure I didn't have to stay any longer and did what they could to make this very unexpected situation. I was having an issue with my F150 King Ranch. I was hearing a grinding noise periodically as I was driving. I took it in to tri-state Ford and they said they couldn't hear anything. Overtime it got worse, and I took it back into them, letting them know that I was hearing the same issue as before, and once again, they said Nothing was wrong with my vehicle. Now that my extended warranty has expired, it's gotten really bad and they refuse to take responsibility and fix the issue that I've been having for over a year. I lost my key fob and keys. Went to Tri-State Ford Hyundai service department for replacement of fob and key. Husband went in asked how to replace the loss. The girl on duty was very friendly. Very informative but when she said she had a fob instock and it would be $384 for replacement. Husband came out relieved that it wasn't insane for it. So he gives the his fob to the service lady and she showed us the waiting area. Nice, cool, snacks, drinks, clean bathrooms. 20 minutes later she comes in smiled tell husband to go to the pay station. She says it will be $593. plus. What??? Why?? You said $384.? We charge $175.00 to program the fob. Thank Goodness we had our grocery money not spent yet. Q??? Why didn't she tell him the full price when he asked? That was a huge extra to just forget! WTHeck? We waited 3 and half hours for our oil change on our F250, once we finally left we had a check engine light for water in our fuel filter called and they didn't have any answers. So my husband got under the hood because he has to work as well and couldn't take the truck back. They had left the fuel filter on top unlocked so fuel was just leaking all over our engine. Sensor for fuel filter under the drivers side of the cab unplugged. When you pay over $300 for an oil change you deserve better we will not be going back to this dealership. Also would like to add the stepped onto our bumper and left shoe prints We're worried they didn't even change the oil at this point because the new oil is black and shouldn't be. read more

Had a heater hose fail on my truck while working out of town. It was sent to tri state ford for repair. They opted to replace the broken hose as well as a fully functioning unbroken hose. Even after verifying with them I only seen one cracked fitting, upon pick up I closely inspected the non problem line to discover it to be completely functional. It was replaced because of a tech who said "they always come back for the 2nd hose anyways". Icing on the cake they graciously left a plate from their lunch on my dash. Terrible service and would highly advise to not do business with them. They made no attempts to make thing right. Based off some quick numbers. This past weekend my wife and myself went to Tri State Ford to look at and possibly purchase a vehicle from them. We test drove the vehicle and liked it the salesperson was nice at first. When we went into the office he became very pushy and didn't listen to us at all. We discussed our situation with no trade in because her car had been totaled in a wreck and it had not been settled out so we were not sure what kind of down payment we could make but had an idea of what that was and where we wanted our payments at. As usual he had the talk to the sales manager he returned with an option of 10000 down and a 900.00 payment I replied no that doesn't work. He said what if I can get zero down and the payment you want. I said sure again he went to the sales managers office and returned with pretty much the same offer but this time it was 15000.00 down.I kindly said no and Thank you for your time but we were going to go. I took my vehicle in for a misfire on the #1 cylinder. They came back with all cylinders are misfiring and that there was oil in the cylinders. They said that I needed a new engine. I left my vehicle there overnight and someone busted out my passenger side window. I took it to another dealer and it was only a bad fuel sensor. Where do I begin? My grandmother placed a $1,000 deposit on a vehicle at Tri-State Ford/Amarillo Hyundai owned by AutoInc 3 weeks ago today. This deposit was to be placed to ensure a hold on said vehicle and she was pressured into doing so by Gregory Crawford and James Diaz with the promise of her vehicle arriving on their lot in 2 weeks, 3 weeks max. That this vehicle is at their "sister dealership" and they just need to "trade a few cars with him" yet it was also "in-transit to their lot" and the "sister dealership just needs to hold it a little while longer to draw in customers." Total bs. Today marks 3 weeks, mind you. My grandmother called multiple times last week to speak with James Diaz (NEW CAR MANAGER) and each time she did so, he dodged her. Time and time again! Stating he'd call her back, he had no info on her vehicle, he had to inquire about more details, blah blah blah. Yesterday I had to get involved when he continued to blow her off this week - very professional, James Diaz! What happened when I called? Same thing - he was "out" or "busy" and had a "family emergency" and was "closing a deal", I believe I heard every excuse in the book yesterday. I was finally able to speak with the genuinely ONLY helpful person at that entire dealership, a Mr. Rod, who had to badger his MANAGER JAMES DIAZ to give my grandmother a call. He called his manager THREE times while I was on the phone with him before James Diaz called him back. I was not muted and heard every word Mr. James Diaz said: "ha ha ha calm down bro! I receive a call from Mr. Tim Turley who seems more annoyed than empathetic with the situation. Mr. Tim Turley informs me that the "hold" on my grandmother's car isn't a real hold, the car was straight up SOLD to someone else LAST WEEK! After being ignored for quite some time, a salesman comes into the office to speak to another salesman talking about a "pissed off lady, we can't ever make her happy with this deal, what the hell do I tell her now". Horrible service. Took our vehicle here for a recall and to address an issue with our electric power steering. Our appointment was at 9 am, but the tech said our vehicle wouldn't be looked at until after 12 sometime. We were told that we would be updated and were not. We had to keep calling to find out what was happening with our vehicle. Ephraim sent a text to my husband and said that he could be reached if we had any questions. He did not respond to my husband's texts. When we spoke with the service department we only received vague responses and never any concrete answers regarding the order of the part to fix our power steering issue. We live near the Oklahoma border, but chose to use this dealer in Texas because that is our state of residence. After calling to see if I could get an estimated time of completion, I was told by Ephraim that the part for our vehicle would most likely not be in until the end of the week and that he didn't really know when to expect it. This is not what he told my husband. He told my husband that the part was on backorder and the only way to get it was to have it expedited. He never mentioned that he didn't have an ETA for the part. The tech also seemed unable to give us an estimate for the repair. When I mentioned all of these inconsistencies to Ephraim, he became condescending and extremely curt with his responses. He said,"just because we ordered the part doesn't mean it magically appears." I told him we would rather pick-up our vehicle than wait for a part that didn't have an ETA. My husband told him the same with regards to picking-up our vehicle. He said fine and hung-up before my husband could ask him what time would be best for us to pick the car up. I called back and asked for his name. The response was muffled and I understood his name to be Ethan. When I asked him to confirm he said, "If that's what you heard." I asked him to repeat and he did and then I asked how it was spelled. I then explained that he had hung up on us before my husband had a chance to ask what time would be best to pick-up our vehicle. He said that they were done with their part. I said that his response didn't answer my question, and again asked the same question. He replied, "I said yes, to whenever. We are done with our part." I then left a message for the service manager, Christopher Garcia, to lodge a complaint about Ephraim's lack of customer service skills. He returned my call, but I was driving at the time and couldn't answer. I called back 10 minutes later, and then 3 or 4 more times and left 2 voice-mails and never received a return call. We are not demanding customers. We merely wanted a more concrete time-line. We ended up calling a dealer in Oklahoma. I spoke with a gentleman at that dealer for about 10 minutes and he gave me a price for the part and labor without me having to ask. He also gave me an ETA for our part and said it should actually arrive within a day. They had no backorder. We had hoped for a better experience in our home-state, but the difference in treatment between the dealer in TX and OK is glaringly obvious. We'd rather be treated well. I bought a vehicle through this dealership in December 2020. I recommend you do not buy extended service/GAP insurance through this company. If you decide later on that you want to cancel, they will make it almost impossible by lying and hiding behind their desk. Three days after I purchase my car I decided that I wanted to cancel the services above, and was told by Brian I had to wait til January 6th, and to come by and he would take care of it. I go up to the dealership that day, and was told by James that it would not be possible because Brian was not there, and the other person (Lacey) was closing up a deal. I offer to wait and he told me I would have to come another day. I leave and call the dealership demanding and explanation as to why I couldn't cancel, and magical Lacey is available, and tells me to meet him up there at noon. I go sign the cancellation form, and its done. A month goes by and nothing, I call back to talk to some one in fiance and Brian says he will look into it and give me a call back, and of course the weekend goes by and he never calls back. I call the following Monday and he tell me he doesn't have and update that I would have to talk to Janae in cancellations, but of course she is off. I call the next day and once again she isn't in. Which she was, she magically appear later on that day, thanks to the receptionist. This people will lie to your face, and they are not even good at it. I myself had to call the extended service company, and email the cancellation form. Because the dealership never sent the form, even though I was told multiple times they had. To this day I am still waiting for the check on the GAP insurance. Janae first told me she would mail the check on February the 11th because the was the day she sent them out for everyone. Later she stated she sent it on the 16th of February, I just called hyundai motor finance and they have received nothing. She tells me she will call them, because sometimes she can get more info from them. Probably another of their tactics to delay the process. I had a recall on my pickup so I scheduled an appointment to have it fixed. This is my first experience with Tri-State Ford, and I was happy to be able to drop my vehicle off the night before since my work schedule doesn't make it easy to bring it in. After dropping it off I decided I should go ahead and get the oil change so I called the next morning to ask if they could do "The Works" oil service and get oil changed, fluids checked and tires rotated etc. I was told no problem. I wasn't in a hurry for my vehicle to get finished so I didn't check in other then to respond to the text and verify that I would be notified once it was finished. I didn't hear back from them that day but got a text the following morning (today) saying it was complete and that I could pay online. I decided to pay online since my parents would be picking it up for me. When they got there to pick it up they were told I still owed on it, but they got that figured out. My dad looked at the invoice and asked if they topped off my coolant since we believed it was low before we took it in. They couldn't give him an answer but told him that we could bring it back if it wasn't done. When I got home I saw the invoice for the oil change but not for anything else. I called to verify that the recall had been taken care of and asked about the oil change. They did service the recall but didn't give me an invoice for that. The gentleman said he could email that to me. He also verified that they did a basic oil change but I was charged for The Works special. He apologized and said I could bring it back to have the tires rotated and fluids checked but honestly it's not worth my time to do that. I was hoping to have a place I could use regularly, but I don't think this is the place for me. Found out 11 months later the car would not pass inspection because of window tint. Already spent between $1000 and $2000 fixing a modified exhaust system and sound system. Car had been in accident but he withheld that info and the Car Fax from me purposely by a "diversion tactic" until I had spent 4 hours there. I have had all my cars serviced here for years. Recently , August 2019, I took my car in for a routine oil change. They told me I needed new rotors. No problem told them to fix it. Then took my car to a different dealer, October 20-9, to have a recall fixed. Was advised by this dealership that some things need to be addressed that I thought had been taken care of at the previous dealership. Anyways got manager on phone and he was more concerned about who told me what and that my receipt was "mis worded". Short of it I don't know if they even fixed my car correctly. He no longer could answer questions because he said he would need to see it in order to make sure the work was done. If you take your car here please ay attention to your receipt. From San Antonio traveling on vacation when the motor went out. ) WANT AND NEED SOME HONEST ANSWERS of when my pickup will be ready. My F-150 truck, which is still under warranty, was towed to Tri-State Ford on 12 Sept 2019 to have a new motor installed. As of today 5 Oct 2019 I still do not have my truck back nor a definite date of when I can it will be ready. Every time the service department is contacted about the status, keep getting the answer let me check with the technician, Response is it'll be ready next Thursday or Friday, When contacted on those days the date of completion is always pushed back to sometime to the next week, The Regional Manager for Ford Customer Service for the Amarillo TX area was told it would be finished on 3 Oct 2019. When I contacted the Service department late afternoon on that date, Was told it would be ready on 5 or 7 Oct 2019 (which I doubt,) It will probably be pushed back to some other date. In summary, just looking for some definite, confident, and straight answers from the owner of Tri-State Ford when the truck will be finished and can be driven back to San Antonio. Paid almost $6,000.00 in repairs to my truck, one would think for that they could at least clean the grease off of the floor mats and wash the truck. There was even grease on the drivers seat . The engine had coolant residue on it and my oil filler cap was melted on one side, and there was coolant residue on the engine when I told the service manager about it, he said it was like that when it came in, which I knew wasn't true. I would feel much better about the quality of the costly repair on my truck if the small details had been attended to and the service manager had been honest. Not more than 3 weeks ago I had my truck in a Ford dealership in Chickasha , Ok, cost me almost 4K there and the truck broke down in 150 miles, this repair was almost 6,000.00 ! Future service and repair will be done by a shop specializing in power stroke engines, it won't cost as much and they may take more pride in their workmanship ! If you want to be screwed this is the place to go! I took my Ford van and told them what it was doing and they told me they would run a full diagnostic. That diagnostic took just over two hours. They came back told me I needed plugs and one coil for the number five. Price will be $811 plus tax. Tell them go ahead and fix it. Many hours later well past the estimated time I am told it is complete. I started it doesn't sound right and I have a hard time getting it to start now. I drive around the block it doesn't drive right. I go right back! now they say after I've spent over $800 that I need an engine. Isn't a diagnostic supposed to tell you what's wrong with the vehicle? Stay away go somewhere else!!!! UPDATE: Yes I called the day before about plugs and wires (spoke with Joe-turns out he's in Hyundai). HOWEVER when I arrived the following morning the Service Manager stated he would run a FULL diagnostic to determine issue and would be about 2 hours. Full diagnostic is not the scan that can be found at ANY auto parts store. I expected a full diagnostic exam to determine what was wrong. I WAS told plugs and coil would fix. Tri State Ford had our dually pickup in their repair service department for necessary repairs to be able to drive in back to Arizona.. we had to purchase a newer Ford 3500 which we love to get our horses back to Arizona. We notified them that we were flying into Texas to pick up our repaired dually pick up upon arrival no one knew we were coming... no communication. The truck was completely dead had to be jump started once we test drove the truck it wasn't repaired it still did not drive faster than 50 miles a hour which was almost half when you added the 4 horse living quarters. We returned the truck to the service department and then contacted the Sales Manager which we purchased our newer Ford 3500 from - the Sales Manager assured us that the truck would be fixed correctly ... i am glad i booked a couple of extra nights just in case from our experience the 1st time around... finally by the 3 day the truck test drove properly and we were able to drive home with our truck repaired. This was very frustrating but thankfully the Sales Manager took care of us which we truly appreciated his assistance. read more

Bought a truck in June 2018. Have repeatedly tried to cancel the $1,950 life insurance policy, was told we had 30 days. Was told we had to go through the insurance company. Insurance company says all checks and cancellations come through the dealership. Repeated attempts to get the finance department to do something. They had my husband write a letter to cancel the policy, said they were going to fax it to the company. On day 30 we returned to the office of the guy who signed up up in the first place. Still didn't get it cancelled. Repeated calls to insurance and dealership. During a call in January the finance guy said the interest on that amount at 5.83% interest wasn't enough to worry about. This place is terrible. I took my car in for a warranty service and got my car back worse than it was before in went in. The first time I picked up my car it was vibrating like crazy so I immediately took it back in and the service manager tells me it's supposed to do that. What!? After the run around I left and the very next morning when I start my car it has engine codes for everything that they touched. So I took it straight back to them. After 3 weeks I finally called to check on my car and apparently it had been ready two weeks prior but no one ever called me. I get the keys and go out to get my car. Now it has a rock chipped windshield, no gas and still vibrates like crazy. So I called the GM of this place John Justice and he tells me that they fixed it and Nothing they did would make my car vibrate cause he has Ford certified techs. The same ones who couldn't fix my car the first time and had to do it again. Lol Once again my car never vibrated before those certified techs worked on it. DO NOT take your vehicle here your better off taking it to Jiffy lube. Update: I did call ford motor company and open 2 cases against this place. I still haven't heard anything from them. Go figure. I also got my cars vibration problem diagnosed and repaired, and guess what? They did mess it up. Maybe don't reinstall transmission mounts with an impact. The top mount was crushed and was causing the vibration. Good job Tri state. read more

Yesterday I had the best experience I've ever had with a Ford dealership. In route to Colorado we had a breakdown and I had to be towed into Tri-State Ford. When Eric, in service, found out we were RVers just passing through Amarillo, he put us first in his queue. Tri states Ford did the diagnostics and repair within 1-1/2 hours. They replaced the charge air cooler tube. That's what I call great service. As an out-of-town traveler you are vulnerable to being taken advantage of, but that was definitely not the case at Tri-State Ford. Thanks again to Eric and Brian in service.
