Everything seemed wonderful at first, until it wasn't. A week prior to the complaint, I had the new windshield installed on my 4Runner. I planned to get the windows tinted on my vehicle and was going to get the eyebrow at Tunes & Tint. When Tunes & Tint was tinting my vehicle today, they called me to let me know that there were a couple of scratches that would show through the eyebrow shade on my brand new windshield. I told them to hold on on the eyebrow until I could speak with Clayton's Auto Glass. When I called Clayton's to notify them of the defect/imperfection the woman on the phone said they would need to inspect it at the shop to make sure it wasn't from a rock chip. I told her it couldn't be because they were installing the tint on the inside of my vehicle. She then admittedly was like, "I guess you're right, but we will still need to see it." I told her that once the tint job was finished I would bring it right over to her at the glass shop. When I arrived a woman came outside with me to look at these two scratches at the top of my windshield on the driver's side closer to the rearview mirror. She tells me that she needs to go speak with the owner of the business to see how she wanted to handle this issue. When the woman returns, she has the paperwork I had signed when I picked up my vehicle the week before saying that I agreed the glass had no issues then and that the best they would do is work with me on the price of a new windshield. I was stunned that this is how they would resolve the problem since they scratches weren't obviously visible and would have never been discovered if Tunes & Tint hadn't thoroughly prepped the glass to put the eyebrow on. Clearly they weren't something I would have noticed unless I was looking for it. My response was, "Well that's real shitty." One of the main reasons I went with this business is because it's a part of the Women Owned Small Business Federal Contracting Program. I mentioned that as I walked out and my disappointment in the integrity of the quality of their work. I do not recommend that anyone ever use them in the event that you do have some sort of problem come up because they will figure out a way deflect liability and leave it on the customer despite the fact that they messed up and didn't do their job right. Then have the audacity to suggest I buy another new windshield. THAT'S INSANE!
