I ordered a windshield for my car and got the quote. Appointment was booked and fee paid online. I confirmed my appointment via email, text message and a phone call about 20 hours prior. 12 hours before the appointment, I received a text message saying the price I was quoted was wrong and if I still wanted the install it was $700 more. When I called to complain I was told they ordered an OEM windshield and they would be the price. I drove 2 hours and spent the night to be there early. To say I am unhappy is an understatement! And I can get the same windshield from Glass Doctor for $500 less. This just screams SCAM. they have had a week to figure out the price had increased but chose to wait until the last minute. read more

We ordered a windshield for the back of our jeep. They sent us a different windshield then what was requested and wanted us to pay extra when the technician came out. We did not agree to that price nor notified that the windshield would be more. Glass doctor was $600 cheaper than safelite. You guys really need to communicate by phone not email. Was easy to schedule on the phone though a long wait time to get through. I called on Tuesday and was able to get in for Saturday. Brought in 2 tiny rock cracks and left with a 6" crack after their "repair." They said I'd have to use my insurance (pay my $500 deductible) to replace my entire windshield to fix what they caused. Marked as a "failed repair" though they still collected from my insurance. When I came back in frustrated after seeing what had happened to talk through the ways to resolve this, they said they don't have the right equipment (a drill) to fix this sort of crack. What? They said Windshield Unlimited and Clayton's Auto Glass might could fix it. So I would recommend starting there and skipping Safelite altogether. Do not recommend due to the lack of warning that this could happen and their utter lack of care when it did happen. read more

It is very easy to schedule with this location. They were prompted a out getting my repairs done. I had my windshield replaced three times due to bad luck within a 2 month period of time. Prior to the third replacement, I would have said that I was happy with their service. However, the final windshield was installed at my place. The car was parked off the street with the front of the car facing away from the street. The car was not driven for a couple of days. When I went to drive the car for the first time after getting the replacement, I was warming the car up and there was a very loud popping noise. The windshield had cracked about 4 inches from the very left(driver's edge) of the window. I filed for a warranty replacement with them. When they came out to do the replacement, the tech refused to replace it and stated that it had apparent impact damage. Then they proceeded to tell me that it didn't matter anyway, I have a $0 deductible with my insurance and could just file a new claim. I ended up going with Auto Glass Now and was very happy with the service I received through Auto Glass Now. read more

They had mixed review, but I scheduled an apt. over the phone. they were courteous and had fast service. they had online monitoring and texted me when the front and side glass were replace. the work was quality and fast. This place is a joke, I've tried to take the same car to them twice. Once to fix a small crack they said do to policy they can't fix because there was another crack in the windshield. Fine understandable I'll let that one slide. Tried to replace the windshield completely and they wouldn't do that because of policy because the car had codes from the front camera with the crack through it. Terrible customer service. Got a window replaced only for it to crack the next week. Took two trips because the brought the wrong glass. This was Possible stress crack. Safelight was suppose to come out and replace under warranty. Gave them my wife's contact number since I was out of town. Nobody called her. We the. got the crack stopped by a local company so it wouldn't travel. Safe light will now not replace if because it voiced the warranty. Do not use this company! I called and made an appointment for them to replace a back quarter window on a 2003 Pontiac Sunfire. The salesman on the phone was super nice and asked details about the window. He advised me there were two types and I advised the salesman I thought it was one type but not for sure. He told me the appointment was set and to be expecting the service. The service technician called and came out. He broke out the window to replace it but then stated he couldn't fix it due to one reason or the other. He offered to sell me the glass and suggest I take it to a GM dealer. I said I'd rather get the whole service at one location and also not have to worry about breaking the glass. The technician left and left all the broken glass in my driveway. They ordered the wrong glass, I needed the back and they ordered the front. Then they messed up and cracked the back hatch door during installation. They assured us it would be fixed. Our service was unbelievably GREAT. We had to drive into town from Clarendon and arrived 30 minutes late for our appointment at 4:30 pm! Nevertheless, they said they would stay late to help us. That is pretty fantastic service!! A word for customers: there are actually sub-types of windshields. It's not just a windsheld for a 2017 Nissan Sentra. It could be curved or straight. There are at least 5 different windshields and they don't mix and match. Even though we ordered online, the windshield weordered wasn't the right one! These guys were ON it. They searched the inventory by hand and found the shield! So we were late, we ordered the wrong shield, and they made it all better! As far as the cost goes, our headlight to tail light insurance does not cover glass, so we paid straight up cash about $300. I looked at quite a few websites and that seemed to be a ballpark cost. Had a new windshield installed in my ford f250 on the way out of the parking lot at safelite my airbag light came on. I quickly called the store and told them the problem and right away tech/installer said there was nothing that they would have done to activate airbag light. Next day drove to dealer and after leaving my truck for a half a day dealer called and informed me safelite cut my airbag wireharness and it would not be covered under warranty. I called safelite immediately and the store denied any wrong doing and put me in touch with area manager. The area manager tried to weasel out however i told him that there was know other way it could have been cut because it was a new truck and hadnt had a new windshield. Told him if they didnt pay for my trucks repair that i would seek legal action. Area manager agreed to pay the ford dealer for the repair. read more

I called Safelite per my insurance companies instructions to get a chip repaired on my pick-up windshield. First off, I was delighted to find that they offer a mobile service for this type of repair. I set an appointment for what happened to be a freezing cold day in the middle of April, and half expected whoever was sent to fix it may be a bit grumpy to have to be working in it. I did NOT expect Eric! He was so personable and professional on a level that is rare to see anymore . He assured me a number of times that it was absolutely not a big deal for him to be working on such a chilly day. On top of having a personality that would put anyone in a good mood mere minutes after meeting, his work was outstanding.
