Ugh! We woke up this morning to a nearly flat tire. We were staying at a nearby motel, so before getting on the road, we found this Discount Tire. It turns out that we picked up a screw in our rear tire somewhere nearby. The crew at Discount Tire was slammed but they got us squared away and back on the road in about an hour and a half (1/2 hr before they promised). They fixed the tire and didn't charge us anything. I hit something on the highway that totally shredded my tire and even cracked my tire. I had insurance on the tire replaced for $37.00 after four years of use. The insurance is well worth it. I made an appt once at DT for balance and rotation and that's how I found out they don't honor those. so I tried a walk in. 10 am on a Tuesday.... at 12, I asked for my keys back because I couldn't wait any longer. many people and vehicles came and went in the 2 hours I sat there. they got me last time for $60 to replace my defective lug nut. why did I come back.?.? I went in to get a tire fixed for a slow leak. They were super busy and it was after 4. He told me he didn't think they could get me in, but he would give me air and I could come back the next morning. I let him know I'd appreciate the air and I'd come back, but it would be a few days. He had me wait and they rushed to get me in. There was nothing in this for him, since he didn't even charge me. He just really didn't want me driving on a leaking tire. I arrived and yes there was about a wait time (for me, an hour). There's a shopping center nearby to wander and you have the option to get a text that your car is ready. The customer service is thoughtful and courteous. The serviceman pointed out the tire condition but did not pressure me or guilt me into buying tires. I went to get a tire fixed because of a slow leak and they told me the tire could not be repaired it has a nail in the wall of the tire. They asked if they could put an new tire or the spare. Knowing that I did not have the money for a new tire. I told them to put on the spare. I came back to get my car a while later and they had told me that the spare was no good and they put on a new tire for me for free. I am super blessed and appreciative of such a huge blessing. Have bought many sets if tires here. Good quality and prices. They are fast IF you have an appointment. I always buy the tire certificates and have been able to replace several damaged tires at minimal expense. Good deal and good value. I had to have a tire repaired after another shop didn't fix the tire like they said. I had informed both shops that i had used slime in the tire after it had gone completely flat. I use slime for emergencies and an emergency for me is any time my tire is flat and I don't have a cheater bar to help break the lug nuts lose so I can put on my spare. The rep told me that they had ruined a vacuum trying to get the slime out of my tire. They couldn't get the slime out and they would only charge me for balancing the other three tires. The main reason I went in was to get that one tire repaired. I then asked if they could put my spare on remove the tire from the wheel and I would clean out the slime. They wouldn't do that since my spare was too old. Another rep told me to wait and he would see about getting the slime out of the tire. Which makes zero sense to me, if you had ruined your vacuum then decided to go ahead and leave the slime in my tire, why would you try and finish the job after you told me you didn't do it? I normally won't set foot in a discount tire, I've only had good service once and that was when the manger was a neighbor. He was transferred to Abilene. If you you need new tires, I guess that's about all they can do. read more

I didn't have a problem with this Discount Tire off of the I-40 in between Western and Paramount until now. First, I took my Cadillac Escalade in and they lost my wheel cap, they were polite and replaced it. No problem!! Well, our mechanic took his F-250 in October for a balance and rotation. They didn't torque his lug nuts. He left and didn't realize but a day or so later he noticed a wobble and when he checked his tires the wheel was at the point it might have fallen off. Now fast forward to January 6th. I have a lifted Excursion with 38's. They tried to give me the run-around about balancing my wheels & tires. I had No problem going somewhere else. This was strike 2, they were rude. On Monday (1/8/2017) I noticed a weird sound. I look to find that my hub cover is flopping around. Some of the torque screws weren't in. I went it to see if they had them, they then proceeded to tell me to go to Fastnal a local bolt shop and to find it myself and bring them a receipt. Sorry, this is the straw that broke the camels back. My time is important and I paid you over $100 to balance and rotate my tires and you loose my stuff and then want me to run around town to find the parts you lost???? Location has gone down hill in the last five or more years and since Zeke the old manger left. No one is a constant and they don't treat their repeat old customers very well. I had an issue where we went on vacation in the summer 2016 and took our van in right before we left to check and rotate all the tires, not even 100 miles down the road on a long trip we had an issue with our front passenger tire/wheel. They didn't tighten the lugnuts all the way and possibly ruined our van wheel. Still looking at that.... This time I arrived 5 min after 5:00 pm closing (I had to drive slow because I had a huge leak in my tire that barely was able to be aired up.) I have been a customer for over 15 years and used to be valued and taken care of. Several times in the past they were eager to help and get us out the door the same day. I arrived and was told they couldn't get to me till Monday because he said they had too many cars. In the time that I called and got a ride till the time my ride arrived there was no wait but a car or two. No customer service, no constant people, and no value of established repeat customers. I have heard the location between coulter and soncy is "decent", might try there then if that's the same or not better I won't buy from the company anymore. read more

Bought tires awhile back ago. Had a tire going low so went to the store to have it fixed since I had road warranty. Was told they could not fix it too much tread was gone. All I wanted was to fix my tire. Priced me a new tire for 100 bucks. So went to firestone and not only did they fix it they inspected my truck. I went to discount to save money on tires but once everything was bought your forgotten. Save money now but get shafted later not a good way to keep customers. Road side warranty is a joke. When we walked in, they didn't attend us. Actually we had to go up and ask them for help. Which wasn't how all the other customers got treated that went in after us. I have bought a lot of tires from Discound in the past. Most recently, a few months ago, I bought 2 Michelin's for my Honda due to finances and the high cost of these tires. When I got a flat on one of older ones, the Discount Tire on Ross refused to fix my flat due to wear on the shoulder. I told them I would buy 2 more when I could afford it, but they only wanted to sell me new tires and would not help me. I was told to go to a mom and pop shop which I did (Texas Tire in Amarillo). Not only did they fix my flat, they said they could special order the Michelins (since they were not a dealer) for the same price as Discound Tire. Guess who will get my business from now on. I bet if I threw a tire through your window like on the commercial, I would get arrested. I will take my business to mom and pop from now on and I bet you don't even care. All you are interested in is hiding behind your "Government Regulations" concerning safety and selling me something. Thanks Texas Tire, you have a customer for life, and Discount Tire, take a hike.
