When I arrived, Chris checked my tires and told me they were wearing perfectly, no need for the alignment or even a rotation. He could have just gone ahead and charged me for an alignment but he completely reinforced my previous experience with Discount Tire. Had a flat on our trip. Found this Discount tire that was close to our hotel, so we ran over first thing in the morning when they opened. Krystal obtain all of the necessary information she needed and took our tire in right away. Her computer was running pretty slow but she got them started on replacing our tire right away while she was waiting on it. In and out in less than 20 minutes!!! Very impressive that they got us back on the road that quick. The tire tech's were great as well. We had 2 tires blow out on our rental car on our trip home from California to Oklahoma. We had just taken the exit off the interstate and we heard the tires go. We were only like a quarter-mile away from DT so we slowly limped our way to the store. Not only did they help us out by changing the tires, they made the call to our rental company to ensure we wouldn't have to pay anything out of pocket for the service. Adam was the person that helped us out the most, but everyone we interacted with was great. They were very professional and took care of us as quickly as they could. read more

These guys were instructed to save my old tires they were in brand new shape from a camper that hasn't even been used yet. Instead they sent them off to be recycled and it even says on the receipt save the old tires. And they didn't seem to care or want to compensate me in any way. Those tires are not cheap. And also they didn't even give me a receipt I had to drive all the way back over there to get the receipt which is about 20 miles for me. I understand mistakes but they didn't even care at all that they lost my property that was probably $200 worth of tires and I didn't care at all didn't offer any kind of compensation for it. DO NOT GO HERE!!! David took advantage of my lack of knowledge and lied about multiple issues with my vehicle that I brought in trying to help a friend. I then tried again after Alan assured me things were handled and took my vehicle and once again waited an hour longer than my quoted time as I did the first time. I had the employee spit his water next to my feet while I had to sit outside after I was told it would 5 min...turned into 20. The customer service does not care for the quality of your vehicle and will lie to gain more money. I have trusted discount tire but this location is a poor representation of the company and what they "say" they do. read more

We will never return as customers to this terrible place. We have a new truck that's barely two years old. The first time we had a flat tire there was a nail and so we brought it here and they talked us into a warranty that would cover such an issue or issues like it to prevent us from spending $400 each time something happens. That was a literal lie they sold us. We've since had a couple of notifications that the tire was low and so we brought it in thinking our warranty would cover the repair but every single time they give us this same bit about how there is either a nail or something similar but the warranty won't cover it bc the tread is worn down just a little bit too much on the side. That's not even possible for us as the truck is not driven much except to pick my kids up from school each day or grocery store runs. They clearly are just trying to sell us a new tire each time. Which we fell for a couple of times but with the price of everything being so insane never again. We used to take all of our work vehicles here as well. We told them this wasn't fair and asked why we even purchased a warranty and the kid didn't care at all. He just kept parroting we needed a new tire even after my husband told him they were going to lose our business. I'll be telling literally everyone I know about how they do business here. It's shameful to try to take advantage of people like this when we are in the worst economy of our lifetimes. DO NOT purchase the warranty expecting it to cover repairs or to keep you from having to buy a new tire. In my opinion stay away and find another business who appreciates their customers. read more

I normally swear by this company. I've purchased many tire sets from them; I like their processes and communication post sale. However, this Amarillo store missed the mark this last time. I arrived early for a rotate and balance appointment and they didn't work on it until 55" later. I had to suggest coming back. Only then did they promise to work me into the next open bay. No real apology for taking an appointment and not keeping it. Other locations actually behave like appointments have priority. **After leaving found that my TPMS had not been reset and had to double back. If I hadn't found until I left town I would have been pretty irritated. read more

We were traveling from Tulsa, OK on a road trip to Sedona, AZ and we noticed while stopped at a gas station an air bubble in the sidewall of our tire. We saw this Discount Tire was right down I-40 and, seeing the abundant 5 star reviews, we decided to give them a try. We sure are glad we did. Matt was the front desk staff who helped us. He was responsive, helpful and kind. The mechanics were fast and helpful and great at problem solving. The place was clean and they greeted every guest quickly upon walking in. This is a GREAT Discount Tire! We were on a two week RV trip in Colorado and were coming through Amarillo on our way back home to Austin. We were about 30 miles north of town in the middle of nowhere and BOOM! BOOM!! Double tire blowout on the passenger side of our Airstream travel trailer. Having only one spare tire, we immediately called this Discount Tire, as it was the "closest" one to our location. They mounted a new tire on a spare rim and they stayed open just for us, past their usual closing time, for us to race to town and pick up the tire. We were able to put on the spares and get to town safely for the night. They worked us in the following morning to replace all 4 tires (now we have 2 spares!), and got us on the road in great condition in record time! Their facility was very spacious to get our 30 ft trailer in and out easily. ALL the employees were courteous and professional. We really appreciate what they did for us. I know they probably do this routinely, but we were really in a bind and didn't know what was going to happen or how to fix this troubling predicament. This Discount Tire went above and beyond for their service and professionalism and saved us. Special thanks to Ryan N. who helped us both days staying late to get us the spare tire and promptly getting us taken care of the next day. I was hesitant to go here after reading some bad reviews but they are wrong. Traveling through town I needed two tires quickly, both of my run flats had bubbles. They were very helpful, professional and honest. They helped me find the best deal and communicated with me as soon as the tires arrived. Usually we have a good time with discount but recently we've had troubles. I recently went for my appointment at 3:15. They said my appointment was at 2:15 so they marked me down for being late. I have the text message and email proof of exactly when the appointment was made and that it was still at that time the day of the appointment. They still made me wait almost two hours for something that was their fault. They never apologized and we had troubles with them not putting the right tire on and saying I had to keep the ones they put on there. If you have to call them try speaking to Chris because he was more helpful with my situation! read more

I have a rental car while I'm in town and out of the blue the low tire pressure light came on. I stopped by Discount Tire which I have used in several other states with great success and this location was no disappointment. They gave me great service. First they checked the tires and found that one was low. Then the guy asked me if I wanted them to check it for a leak and I said I thought I would just watch it for a while since they had filled it. He seemed hesitant so I decided to tell him to go ahead and check it. Sure enough there was a screw in the tire and it needed a small repair. As has happened before to my own cars and to rental cars, there was no charge to fix the leak. While they had it up on the hoist I asked if they could tuck a plastic piece back in place that was coming loose and they did. I was probably in and out of there in about 20 minutes with no inconvenience at all. Five stars again to another Discount Tire. I don't know how many of them I have reviewed on Yelp in Arizona, San Diego, Michigan and now Texas. They never let me down! read more

We had a flat tire 7 hours away from home and we drove here on our spare hoping they could fix our tire. It was crowded and there were lots of people waiting and the guys working on the cars were working HARD. They were all so busy, sweating, working nonstop. There was complimentary water in the waiting room and they had Christian music playing, it was such a nice surprise. We were thrilled that they were able to fix our tire, and when they gave me the ticket it was free. FREE. I asked them why they didn't charge me and they said "So you will come back and buy tires from us." We had the best experience, even though it slowed us down a little bit getting home, I would use Discount Tire a million times over. Fantastic customer service! read more

We had to stop and get two new tired for our RV on our trip from Las Vegas to Oklahoma City. They were great, and the customer service was amazing! They greeted us in the parking lot, determined what tires we had and needed and the price was reasonable. They let us bring our dog inside with us while we waited for them to take care of our tires. They were so fast we didn't have to wait long at all. The staff was courteous, friendly and not overly pushy with their "sales pitch" which was very nice, especially when being from out of town.
