Tesla FSD hit a pothole 85 miles west of Amirillo big gash in side wall. Called and gave my tire brand and size. The tire I needed is a special tesla tire that needs to match the other 3 on a AWD. The tire was located and appointment set for the next morning. After hours on the should of I40 we arrived about 11pm, The next morning they had the tire delivered and I was back on the road by 10am. Kudos to the whole team for excellent service. Both rims on passenger side had some damage these were put on the back and the best tires and rims on the front so it took a good bit of extra effort to get me going. read more

We are on a road trip from CA to TN. Looked at our tires and saw both cars needed 2 new tires. We came into the store a little before 9am. We waited , and waited, and waited ... 5 hours later they fixed them. This is THE WORSTcustomer service. They had seen probable 40 people before they fixed our cars. I would suggest NO ONE to come here. This is the worst place ever. read more

I sliced a tire on my cross-country trip and needed a new tire. I made an appointment online, and John greeted me when I arrived. John was professional, kind, and helpful. John spoke to me, not at me. John explained what was needed and provided me with several different types of tires and replacement options. The waiting area is clean and comfortable, with music playing softly. I went with two new tires placed on the rear of the FWD SUV. It cost me about $500 for tires and service. read more

We are a family of 5 on a trip from Houston to the Grand Canyon in an RV... We popped a tire just a few minutes before 5pm (closing time) on a Saturday, about 24 minutes outside Amarillo. We called this Discount Tire (the nearest one to us at the time) and an absolute angel named Jayson answered the phone. He said he would stay at work late to help us out so we didn't have to camp on the side of the road for the night. When we arrived, he was there with his boss. Both men were so kind and helpful, I have absolutely nothing but good things to say about this place. Luckily, the tire had the protection warranty on it and the new tire was in stock and fully covered. We were on our way in no time. What could've been a disaster for our trip, turned out to be an experience that renewed our faith in humanity and good old-fashioned customer service. Thank you, Jayson and thank you, Discount Tire in Amarillo! read more

Went to get my tire serviced and checked because there was some type of wear on it. I knew I had some type of warranty on it but instead of help it seemed that the associate was accusing me of revving my tires to wear it out? He started telling me which year I bought the tire and seemed to think I didnt have a warranty on it and didnt even check the computer. I had to pull out a receipt on him. I asked him if he was sure that that didnt count on the warranty or if I had a warranty and he told me "look at them" (the tires I guess?). The response was uncalled for and he really kept going back to the burn out story and I assured him that I did not do that. (Wouldn't more of my tires be worn if I was burning out? It's an AWD vehicle) Im just going to take my business elsewhere after this episode. I'm sure I didnt come off as rude but if I can steer anyone away from this place, I did what I came to do. Go to Sam's Club, which is down the street. Or even the local mom's/pop's tires spots, heck Id pick Wal Mart over them after this event. Dueces Discount Tire by Ross Osage, yall were terrible. The vibe there is not welcoming as well. Also, they sent me a message to get back to them about this service...Well I wrote in my info and they never attempted to even get to me about it. So they reached out for nothing. Like I said, there better options then this discount tire, please don't shop here. Definitely can find better discounts somewhere else for sure... read more

Worst Discount Tire ever! Waited 25 minutes and they never came out to put air in my tires. What's the point in having a place to get quick service when you don't get any service. Even talk to the Hispanic manager and he said he'll get someone out. Poor customer service and workers just walking by looking at you. So lazyn What a TERRIBLE PLACE AND WASTE OF TIME! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THOSE PLACE AT ALL. read more

My wife and I are traveling cross country when our left rear tire developed a slow leak. I kept filling the tire with air to make sure it didn't get too low,but I knew something was wrong. Coming into Amarillo, we decided to stop here to get it checked out. Glad we did because the tire mechanic found a big screw sticking out of the tread. They pulled it out and patched the tire. Now we should be good as new. When I was presented with the receipt for their work, there was no charge. I was dumbfounded! I expected to have to pay something, but they said it is their policy. I am an extremely satisfied customer and highly recommend this business. Thank you to the employees at Discount Tire. read more

Great customer service @ Coulter Street location/Amarillo. Recently I had to take my Cadillac XT4 in and did have to buy new tires. Tony assisted us and we made the purchase for the tires. A few months later we took my sons truck in to repair//patch a tire, in and out quickly-- no charge as we always buy tires at DT! Again, Tony assisted with this and polite when the job was complete. Kudos also to the crew who are the hands on techs....so fast and efficient in their work for all customers. read more

We experienced a blow out on the I40 E by Holbrook. So I'd like to say thanks to the idiot that left a steel 2x4 on the freeway. We've had great past experiences with Discount Tire so we found one that would have the tire in stock. This location is nice and easy to access. Casey was our salesman and got us in as quick a possible and got us back on the road. Discount Tire never disappoints. read more

I was very impressed with this location. I bought 4 new tires just a few months ago in Colorado, and on my way home through Amarillo I was able to avoid an accident but clipped a curb with my front tire. Instant flat, sidewall damage, tire needed to be replaced. Luckily I had purchased the warranty on the tires. I went to this location in Amarillo for help. I arrived at 8 AM, and they were very professional. They replaced the tire at no cost, and by 8:45 AM I was back on my way to Colorado. Excellent service, highly recommend. read more

When I broke down with a tire that separated because of the size of the tire (325/65R18) they would not help. The lady on the phone told me we only get shipments once a week. I asked her if they got 'hot shots' that could get a tire of a certain size she said we do but we will only get it once a week she had no interest in trying to help me at all and I am moving across country with a deadline for my new job. Discount tire will never get my business or any of my friends or families if it's in my power to do so. It just goes to show you the big companies don't care. Long waiting time. When paid for a rotation and balance, they just rotated them and after I told them that they didn't balance them they didn't do all but one tire. I talked to the supervisor and he said it was the end of the day and they tend to do that a lot. Horrible service. read more

Was on a road trip traveling through Amarillo when our vehicle notified us of a tire with low pressure. Found this store right off the interstate and drove in. Matt was our service advisor and mentioned about an hour plus wait. 30 minutes later, Matt and the techs there had removed a nail and repaired our tire getting us back on the road. What a great team and service! Thank you all! read more

The day after I got my rental car the "check tire pressure" light started coming on but I was so busy with memorial service and family activities I just did not have time to go anywhere to have the tire checked or even back to the airport where I rented it. Plus it was the weekend. I memorized where the Discount Tire store was so I could stop by here Monday morning and have the tires checked out. The guy said two of them were actually on the high side but the front left was down to 22 pounds so he filled it back up. He told me to keep an eye on it in case it had a slow leak. I have used Discount Tires in so many different towns across the United States and rarely had a bad experience that I can recall. It's sure nice to have a place like this that you know you can count on when you are traveling alone. They never charge to just check your tires or fill them or even to repair a small leak whether you bought the tires at their store or not. That has come in handy many times over the years. Thank you Discount Tire! read more

We were traveling from Tulsa, OK on a road trip to Sedona, AZ. We noticed while stopping for gas that there was an air bubble in the sidewall of our tire. We saw Discount Tire was right off of I-40 and saw that it had excellent reviews so we figured we'd give them a try. We sure are glad we did. Matt was the front desk staff who helped us, and the mechanics were fast and helpful. The place was clean and they greeted every customer. They got it done 40 minutes sooner than what they quoted us and were great at problem solving. It's no surprise why they have excellent reviews!! read more

I usually do not write reviews but I was so moved and impressed by this business, this particular store, that I had to take the time. I was helping my daughter move across country from Los Angeles to Atlanta Georgia and we had a low tire pressure warning on her special edition Range Rover. We were approaching Amarillo and I searched for a shop that could help us. The first shop I called told us they would call us back in 10 minutes but never did. While I was waiting for that return call I called discount tire to which they said bring it in they can help. I was met by Anthony Cervantes when we arrived and he was extremely professional and helpful. They inspected the tire and found that there was a crack all the way around the side wall and it had also been plugged poorly so it had two problems and needed to be replaced. They did not have the tire on site because it was a special low profile tire but they were able to get it from another location in town in about 20 minutes. In the time we were waiting I watched the guys in the shop and I tell you they looked like a NASCAR pit crew!! It was like watching Formula One team dealing with customers cars with the utmost efficiency...These guys were hustling between cars and jacks were just humming from car to car... No slow moving listless employees w attitudes, these guys were enthusiastic and killing it!! I almost wanted to video it to remember how cool it looked. Shops don't operate like that where I'm from! We were fixed up and ready to go in less than an hour I would say and I just want to give my highest praise and recommendation to this particular discount tire location. These guys were amazing and I'm very thankful my daughter and I called them!! Thank you Anthony and crew! read more

These people are masters at customer service. They do a darn good job of tire work as well. I've had multiple flats fixed for free, but they finally had to charge me the last one. My daughter and her friend were driving to Boulder and as they were nearing Amarillo the tire pressure light came on. I've have used Discount for all of my cars for years so I told them to pull into any one of three that were off of highway 40. They phoned this store, the rep told them to come on by and he'd take a look. He met them in the parking lot, pulled the car into a bay and checked all five tires - all were okay. He explained to them why he believed the light came on - tires will heat up early in a road trip which will sometimes cause the light to come on. He also did this on a Saturday when things are pretty booked up. I absolutely love Discount Tire and this store met all expectations. read more
