I haven't been in the store but ordered a Nikon bundle online. I received everything that was suppose to come within 2 days which I was ecstatic about. The tripod was damaged. It looked like damage to the box caused it. They replaced it immediately. Also I couldn't find prices like theirs anywhere. Our company had a printer repaired here, we were told it was ready for pickup and sent a courier only to not have the power cord put back in the box. I called two weeks ago and was told it would be sent FedEx that evening. We have called numerous time with no call back or response. I would not use this company again. read more

BEWARE!!!! THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAMMERS! THEY WILL STEAL YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION AND USE IT MONTHS LATER!!! I bought a lens from these guys, the lens was okay though it did have a tiny chip (I got what I paid for), but just today I got a call from my credit card company saying I had charges in NJ (I live in TN). HORRIBLE customer service. I purchased a meat slicer online, got an e-mail message that they didn't have it in stock but did have a more expensive item in stock -- which they were more than willing to accept payment via PayPal. I told them to cancel the order and refund the money. It's been TWO weeks and I still have not received my refund. read more

I purchased Nikon D5300 from Tristate by looking only at Reseller ratings, delivery was fast. But when the product arrived, the box was already open and it was not sealed pack and no Nikon USA warranty card inside it. I already smelt something fishy but counseled my heart that the product might be good. Then I took several pictures and compared them with a friends Nikon D3300 and the picture quality was also very very bad, felt like a mobile camera and the portraits were even worse than the iPhone. I immediately decided to return the product. I started checking other website reviews and found out so negative comments on Yelp. I feel they pay reseller ratings and Google to make fake reviews to increase the ratings and fool the public, it's all business but I got fooled by Google for the first time and their ratings are now questionable. I called customer care who started arguing about the quality of camera and all. I remembered my Best Buy camera purchase few weeks back and the returns were so hassle free with full amount. I ultimately requested the refunds at the cost of myself paying the shipping charges for of both ways, mine 11$ and theirs they said 15-20$. So I atleast loosed 25-30$ And I have sent back the camera and I am still waiting for my refunds to be made! Moral of the story - More than the merchant, DONT TRUST RESELLER RATINGS! I purchased a camera from them and paid for it. Two days later, they cancelled my order and offered to sell it to me for more than 2 times the price that I had paid. I responded promptly, but they didn't reply for 6 days. This company seems to need to learn some serious business ethics. I bought a Tamron lens from TriState on Ebay but then decided I would rather have another, more expensive. Sent email asking to change to the lens and pay the difference. Got a phone call, told them what I wanted to do. They charged My PayPal account for the exact difference and I received the new lens 2 days later. I thought the service and understanding of my request was excellent. I would buy from them again. read more

ZERO Stars! This is the worst business I have ever encountered. I ordered a Pentax DSLR from them and it took about ten days before it was even shipped so it took about 20 days before it arrived. When i got it, the camera was not working properly( not to mention I'm pretty sure it was a grey market camera) When I called Tri-States customer service they were extremely rude and were almost refusing to give me a RA# so I could return it. After several minutes of trying to persuade them to give it to me I got the return number. I sent it back and after three weeks after it was returned to them ( i know because I checked the tracking number) still no refund! I made several calls to the returns department and each time I was told they had processed my return and I would be refunded within the next few days. Two weeks passed and I still have not got been refunded and I don't know if I ever will be. I'm now filing a claim with my bank. Stay AWAY from Tri-State Camera. They are a HORRIBLE business and a bunch of THIEVES! read more
