My husband found Dr Harrells office because it was on the lower level of our chiropractors building. He went in to talk to them and was convinced that the receptionist was the nicest person he had ever talked to. I called their office a day or so later to see if they took our dental insurance plan and after scheduling new patient exams and cleanings, I immediately called my husband to let him know that he was right. Amazing customer service! Dr Harrell was fantastic, their technology is all up to date. Great chair side manners and I felt he was completely skilled. My husband went to his appointment and even though he normally has to take relaxers prior to cleanings and dental work, he now willingly goes with no meds! The dental hygienists are gentle and just the right amount of chatty. They remind my kids of good dental habits, and never chastise or make them feel bad for not flossing as often as they should! I have and will continue to recommend Dr Harrell to friends and family.

I knew nothing about dental care when I was in my early 20s. They ripped out 7 of my natural, healthy teeth and that's something I can never repair. I don't know why they did that but at the time they told me it was necessary to get my bite aligned. My bite has never, and will never be aligned because they ripped out teeth that I needed. I look at my smile every day and often cry because I shouldn't have so little of teeth on my lower arch. The longer I work in dentistry myself, the more angered I become at the care I received here. I moved back to the Vancouver area a couple years ago and had to go to a different dentist due to a change in insurance, but just got to start going back to Alder and couldn't be happier about it! This dental office is first class, from the always friendly staff to the clean and very well maintained office. They spend a significant amount of time cleaning your teeth, and unlike other dentists I've gone to, I leave my appointment feeling like everything was thoroughly cleaned. I could not recommend this dentist more. I have never had any serious issues with my teeth and credit Alder for helping me develop good habits and always getting such good care there!

They have dropped some coverage with certain insurance companies, but luckily ours wasn't one of them. They have also had a lot of dental hygienist turnover the last couple of years, but they seem to have a full staff again currently. That's been tough for us because we had been spoiled with having the same hygienist for years and got to know them, which added extra comfort to an otherwise stressful experience. I've never enjoyed going to the dentist, but seeing a familiar face had helped ease my anxiety. We love the relaxing spa vibes in this office. It feels clean and comfortable, but not overly clinical like some dentist offices. They offer beverages in the waiting room, which also has a couch and fireplace, making for a cozy environment. We also appreciate that they can make a crown while you wait and watch a Netflix movie. It's nice not have to wait a week for a third party to make the crown and leave the dentist office with a temporary. The in-house crowns we're not something we've experienced before, so that's a huge plus! Overall this is an exceptional dentist office. They have a nice relaxing environment and have the capabilities of performing most dental services in-house. We would highly recommend.

Of course supporting local business is also a top priority. After calling a few I found Dr Laws to be my choice. From the street the building does not look like much but once you come in its a beautiful office. Some offices have views of bird feeders, and others of a Japanese sand garden. The music was nice, and relaxing. What a great atmosphere. This was my first time so I had to get the works, xrays, cleaning, the full 'tuneup". I worked with two specialists and Dr. Laws, all were very friendly and professional. The office was so relaxing it was hard to stay awake during the cleaning (yea dentists don't bother me.) While I have gone to the dentist all my life this office offered me more information on my dental situation than I had ever received. They really know their stuff! I'm so happy that I chose Dr Laws office to be my new dental office.
