    I had posted a previous post about how rude, arrogant and dismissive the owner was when the air…read moremachine was broken when we approached him. That review was over three years ago. Apparently, it stuck in his craw because he just today sent me harassing vulgar messages laden with profanity thru the Nextdoor application. From a review from three years ago. I feel the other reviews, especially the unrecommended ones speak volumes about this petty little man. The littlest dog tends to yap the loudest. In fact, we used to patronize this business all the time when Bill Pardy and Phil owned it. Not anymore with this potty mouthed little guy who apparently solves issues by challenging people to "say it to his face" LOL (which, we in fact DID at the time and he responded very rudely). Over 50 cents!!!! Really? Are we back in junior high school? Looks like from the other reviews, quite a few customers have been treated rudely, but the owner appears to be in denial about it. I guess the truth hurts. I wanted to share one of the owner's responses in a direct message sent to me which I think speaks for itself to the true character and professionalism of this person (edited for Yelp) "You are a mother****** I don't need customers like you OK you gonna call the police for 50 ****ing cents you mother****** well you can go **** yourself you and where you came from and if you were a man and not a ****ing p***y you would ****ing come down and approach me because I have no idea who the **** you are people like you call the police for $.50 and that shows what kind of person you are" This unhinged person JUST sent me this vulgar message today(above) on Nextdoor DM from a review written THREE YEARS AGO. (I did not call the police about the 50 cents at the time just to clarify). Nice guy huh folks? Over 50 cents. I shudder to think what happens over an issue at this business worth more than 50 cents ( which these days buys you half a candy bar.)

    Had a 10:00 appointment for an oil change. Waited for 10 mins for a person to come out to…read moreregistration desk and check me in. The person who came out to area checked me in and told me it would be about 40 mins. I waited until 12:00 then went up to desk and again waited for someone to come out to help me. Finally a person appeared and told me they were just taking my car in for the service. He told me bc I waited so long I wouldn't be charged....ok so they were trying to make amends. I asked this person how long would it take for this simple oil change and was told it would be 1/2 hr. Now it was 12:15 and I've been there for over 2 hrs. With nothing else I could do I sat down and waited and waited. Going back up to desk and you guessed it, were repeatedly told 5 mins, etc etc. I waited and finally my car was serviced and I left at 1:30 !!! 3 1/2 hrs after my scheduled appointment time. I know this is very lengthy but what I don't understand is why have people make appointments if they're only going to be waiting hrs to get the service requested?? Was it bc I was a woman and all the other people waiting were men????? I hate to think that's the case but what else could it be? You have lost a repeat customer and you can rest assured I will tell anyone I know to avoid Mavis like the plague!

Once started was sluggish, wanting to be put in a lower gear than normal, and the check engine light came on. I took it first to AutoZone, who recommended High End. it was a good recommendation. Ashley, working in the office, seemed to really know what she was talking about, as if she had been a mechanic all her life. They took my car in right away, even though I didn't have an appointment, got the OEM compatible coils delivered and installed the next day (as soon as they came in). The price quoted was reasonable, and I was charged less than what they quoted. They got me on the road just one day later than I had planned. I arrived home with no problems, and my mpg was just as expected when I filled up back in VA.

They were able to fit us in for a car inspection…read moreon short notice and then replaced the brake pads & rotors on our car in a short amount of time. The cost was a reasonable amount for the work provided. Every person working at High End was welcoming and friendly. Ashley went over and above in EVERY way! Her warm personality, quick responses and willingness to help us get the car to a place 3 min. away was AMAZING! THANK YOU ASHLEY! We also appreciated Carmelo, the owner, who was so friendly. He even grabbed an umbrella and walked us to our car when the skies opened up and we got a sudden downpour ! Thank you for a "HIGH END EXPERIENCE"! Jennifer & Kevin Grace
