My car had gotten hit recently. I've never went to a body shop, so I was nervous. You know what if they do an "ok" type of job, then what? So I choose this place covered under the insurance of the driver at fault. I went off of the other good reviews and hoped for the best. I was NOT DISAPPOINTED. They were communicative, reassuring and my car was better than I left it. They wanted to do a great job! Would 110% return, hopefully not too soon. My car is not on the cleanest side of the after photo, so it doesn't do them justice, but it was sparking clean when I got her back! 10/10 would recommend! read more

I had to have my hood repainted. Because there were patches of paint chippe, a touch up would not be enough. It took a day and half to finish. The job looked good as new. They also told me it takes 30 days for the paint to cure ; no automated car washes. The repair was high considerably because cars are a necessity. Please remember if you have a mark on the top that feels raised on the paint, ask any body shop guy what to do. Probably best is to buff it on low speed like a buffer hooked to a drill bit; not on a grinder wheel! read more

I was recently in a little fender bender while driving in NYC. Nothing major but I was in need of a little body work on my SUV. I needed a new front right corner panel, a little touch up on my bumper and a new wheel. Now that I type it out it sounds a lot worse that it really was, believe me it wasn't that bad. Anyhow, this place was recommended to me by my insurance company (Geico) because it is a Geico "Express" service center. Whatever that means... They made me an appointment for the first thing on Monday morning (accident was on Sat.) I showed up and the Geico adjuster is on-site, she comes and gives the car a once over and takes a bunch of pictures of the damage. She writes up the estimate on the spot and then passes you over to the actual Lothar's people to schedule your repair. I explained that I needed to use the car for the rest of the week to get back and forth to work but that I could leave it at the end of the week since I was traveling on business. They were completely cool with this. Left my car on a Thur night and they had called and left me a message to let me know the work was finished by the following Wed. I didn't return until labor day weekend so I wasn't able to pick up my car until after the holiday. I showed up first thing on Tue. morning, paid my deductible (one sucky thing is that they don't take Amex :-( and I was on my way. As an added bonus, they detailed my car while they had it. It honestly hasn't looked this good since I drove it off the lot a couple of years ago. They chiseled the 3 inches of dust off my dashboard and they really didn't have to go this extra step. I would definitely go back here if I'm in the market for some more body work (on my car that is). Hopefully I won't be, but ya never know. read more

Due to an accident I had to take my car to Lothars to get it repaired under Geico insurance. The service is akin to what you would expect as a high roller in a Vegas Hotel. They just cannot do enough for you. From Maria at the desk to the appraiser to the mechanics and even the Enterprise rental staff, the service is exceptional. The body was flawlessly repaired and returned to me in spotless almost detailed condition. 10 stars to this great business!!! read more

Set up at this shop through geico, poor customer service, they couldn't be bothered. Here's a suggestion Lothars, don't work with geico for discounted rates if you are going to reflect that in the end result. They were complaining they don't get paid as much from geico for the work being done. So if you are paying cash off the street at full rate your experience may differ. Work to repair body work is mediocre at best , can easily see where the dent was from the poor paint job. They broke one of my fog lights and water pump, neither the shop or geico would take responsibility, they were working together to get out of it, what a joke! read more

I took my car there at the suggestion of my insurance company and had some front end work done. They did the work and returned it to me within a week (SUPER); however, when I got it back it was quite clear that there was something wrong with my car. I picked it up on a Saturday and when I realized that something was wrong, they were already closed. I then called them on a Tuesday and they said to bring it back. Low and behold there were several broken parts (which could have resulted in an accident!). They had it another week. I picked it up and again it was not fixed! I am not taking it to my personal mechanic to have their work fixed! It was the worst experience that I have ever had with a garage in my life. I wouldn't even take my kids bike there to be fixed! read more

After only 4 weeks from driving it out of the showroom, my car was T-boned in a local car park and so I was directed by the other drivers insurance to this repair shop. I'm completely cynical about car repair shops as I have been overcharged by these places before so I was weary. The estimate given was reasonable as I had checked with three others repair shops in the area. It was approx 5k so the work required was considerable i.e. two new doors and center column repair. They took the car and gave us a repair completion date. Their customer care was excellent! I've been fixing cars since i was kid so I knew what the effort would be and researched the cost of replacement parts just to get a ballpark costing. The car was new, so I expected the work to be excellent and it was! they gave it back to me on time and polished, as the whole side needed a respray. No signs of filler in the places I expected it to be. The stickers were replaced on the inside door panel, so attention to detail. Its as good as knew and I'm very much impressed. The receptionist/secretary was always polite and helpful. The estimate mechanic was personable, which is rare. They are refreshingly efficient and I will recommend them to anyone. read more
