I went in Saturday morning seeing how it was closed for the weekend of labor day. The owner saw me parked outside not knowing it was closed and let me go inside really quick to print out some resumes. Great service and really appreciate that gesture! read more

I guess I'm just going to have to stop taking the easy way out and drive a little bit further for better service and less frustration. Sooo, as my other review mentioned, I got my wedding invitations (invites and response cards) done at Tri-Lakes Printing. It wasn't a great experience, but they are close to home so I took them another project. The printing was promised Monday, but I never heard from them. Then I stopped by Tuesday morning and they hadn't even started the job yet. They called me at the close of business Tuesday to tell me it was ready. Today I go by to pick my order up and according to the prices quoted when I dropped the job off it should have come out to about $80. Well the gal that was "helping" me rang it up and said it was going to be $243 dollars. HUH?! Somehow the 39 cents per page printing became 90 cents, and the paper that was quoted to me at 25 cents per sheet was now 50 cents. I obviously wasn't willing to pay more than the quoted price, so the clerk (with an attitude) asked who had given me the quote. I didn't know this when I dropped off the job but the owner had been the one to give me the quote. Well, that changed her tone and she honored the quoted prices. Part of the printing job on each order was pixelated. That should have been pretty evident when completing the order. I'm not quite sure how this happened, but I never received a phone call asking me to provide a higher resolution image. I didn't want to complain about it because it was already a hassle. Tri-Lakes also printed 100 more of one of my items than I had ordered, and were trying to charge me. I stuck to my guns and told them that I had only ordered 100, not 200. Instead of owning up to their mistake and letting me keep the extras the gal took them. Not sure what they'll do with 100 of my wedding reception cards... Whatever. read more

Not sure about the haters out there and the bad reviews. I've always had a great experience and I've been going to them for years. I have used them for multiple projects including business cards, flyers and banners. Bill and Kathy, the owners are usually around and if not the staff is all great. They can even help with graphic design if you don't have someone to do that for you. Sorry haters. I love this place and the people that run it. Easy access off Jackson Creek Road in Monument, CO. I was worried based upon the reviews, but needed something quick and wanted something local so I gave them a try. I wouldn't describe the service as friendly, but they got the job done. Immediately when I walked in the door as I was greeted and welcomed. I was not sure what I was looking for or what I wanted but they graciously pointed me in the right direction. They showed me a variety of options and choices on how I could do my project. They showed me samples of things they had done in the past and different papers I could pick from. They explained everything to me in simple terms when I did not understand something. The price was right and they finished the job 2 days before the deadline! Great prices and wonderful service. Forget Staples or Kinkos, this is the place to go! I use them to print products for clients and they stay very true to colour and have tonnes of different stock to choose from. They have a graphic designer on site if you need their services and the print staff are extremely willing to work with you and help you get exactly what you want. Just not someone I would like to do business with in an ongoing relationship. They were fine until an issue arised and the teeth and claws came out. Several projects requiring last minute changes have been met with care and attention to detail and I've found on more than one occasion where I had made mistakes in my print pieces their print operators caught them saving me money and valuable time. So frustrated! Went to Tri Lakes Printing because I wanted a quality print job for a special event. They quoted me 15 dollars for the job, messed it up, made me drive it back to them to have it redone and then charged me another 30 dollars to get it right. I paid 45 dollars for 25 programs! When I called to complain to the manager and told her I would post it on facebook and yelp if she didn't make the situation right, she told me to go ahead. Basically they do not care! Too bad it's the only printing service in Monument. Makes me sad because I truly want to support local business. read more
