When our (only 2 year old) computer decided to slip into a coma during an update process, we called the Alaska Computer Guy. (This was after an attempt with a visit to Pyramid computer service only to find out the hours posted are not the hours followed. Not a good way to run a business.) An appointment was set up with Glen, (the Alaska Computer Guy) to drop off the computer and the computer was fixed and done the following day. Sweet! We were charged $100 bucks, which at first was a gasp, but the experience was so worth it. Thanks Glen! This guy knows what to do, and takes care of the customer.

I found this company through the yellow pages online. Upon answering, I briefly explained my…read morecomputer concern and asked if there was someone available to discuss the problem with me. He simply answered, "Yes." Ummm, ok... and that would be... ? He sounded impatient when he said he was the one to speak to. I told him that my husband's laptop had been smashed, but only lightly. Could it be repaired? We made plans for him to come see it that very day. It was my husband's day off, so that worked out perfectly, as I don't feel comfortable having a strange man over with no one else home. He told us he'd be over just after lunch, around 1:30. My husband and I raced home from our errands, only to receive a call at 1:20. The man said he was running late, and would call us shortly, when he was on his way. We decided to postpone our other errands for a bit to wait for him. He never called, never showed up. He left a message two days later, explaining that he had been involved in a work emergency, and wanted to reschedule. I called back, but got the voice mail. I told him I was a bit frustrated that he'd wasted my husband's only day off, but if he could call me, we could reschedule for my husband's next day off. That was about 3 weeks ago. He hasn't called since. This sounds like an unprofessional, one man show. He lacks customer service skills, and common courtesy. Skip this "company."
