Julie was outstanding in her efforts to find me a car providing several options when Avis kept selling or renting out the cars I wanted. Through 12 emails and 3 phone calls Julie was always professional, helpful and an excellent representative for her company. It is unfortunate that Avis does not seem to understand that holding a car for someone who wants to buy it is a good idea. After they twice sold or leased the cars out I was interested in, I bought locally. Julie, thank you for your efforts and the time you spent trying to obtain a car for me. Worst company i have ever dealt with. My 91 year old grampa was purchasing a car. We test drove, took it home. Did all the paperwork etc. I sent the cashiers check to the address they provided me. I get a certified letter saying i have stole their vehicle and they will be pursuing me. Wtf? Then i get a call from a supervisor. The man i was dealing with had me send the check to an address that wasn't even theirs. not even in the same state. So its lost. Omg!! Get a call from the supervisor again not to apologize but to say if i don't return the car i will be reported as stealing a car...... Are you serious? She was soooo rude. And then on top of it she tells me they will be charging me rental fees of $76/day for 6 weeks. This place is a big joke and shouldnt be in business. They have all the documents and receipts from me and still trying to charge us rental fees from a mistake they made. WoW....... read more

I'm still in the process of refinancing. They will really push you to get the extra warranties, and while they sound great the math doesn't really add up. I would have gone from 13% interest down to 5% and would have only saved 3K overall. After threatening to cancel my refinance they finally processed paperwork without the added warranties. The other issue I have is I was told the total process would only take about 10 days, reading online now i see it can take up to 4 months. Had I known I would not have chosen this company: possibly maybe not have even chosen to refinance. Now my credit is dinged and I'm still in limbo. read more

I came to IFS after seeing a good rating on Credit Karma and thought "what the heck I could save a few bucks every month with a refinance." I ran through the application fairly easily and was contacted very soon thereafter. Valarie, my loan advisor, was very patient in taking my calls and emails over this process, especially with my hectic schedule at times. She is great at what she does and always had knowledgeable and helpful answers for me. Overall I am very happy with my refinance and will definitely choose IFS in the future should I purchase a new vehicle again. Some things to point out are to be wary of the quick deadlines once your loan is completed and have a scanner handy for all documents. Third time is the charm. I have scheduled 3 test drives and all of them have been cancelled. First time I was told the car I was supposed to drive was returned from a rental with body damage. The second and third time the car was not delivered to my local Avis. The only notification of that was from the helpful representative Lee, at the Newark De Avis. IFS must really not care about the time of its clients. Everyone is helpful and friendly on the phone but they have no real ability to make things happen on the ground. At this time based on what I've read and personally experienced, I am not the only one dissatisfied with IFS and the Avis Car Buying Service. What is the point of having a great selection of cars but no way to really get them to the people that want to buy them. I feel like their car buying model is flawed. read more

I purchased a car through Avis Car Sales which utilizes IFS for the actual transaction. The Finance Adviser I worked with was pleasant and helpful, but the entire process is a bit moronic. I had a couple of questions about the process, so the Adviser I was working with had his manager call me to answer my questions. The manager (unfortunately I can't recall his name) called me and was completely rude and uninterested in answering any questions. He was completely conceited, bragging about how he was the boss of all Avis car sales, and about how many cars they sell, etc. He made it very clear that he was not interested in talking to me and told me that if I don't buy it, someone else will. (Mind you, I was fully interested in purchasing the car, I just had questions about how the process worked). He simply kept repeating something along the lines of, "this is our process, do you want to buy the car or not?" Then I would start to ask a question, and he would cut me off and say, "DO YOU WANT TO BUY THE CAR OR NOT!?" I would say "I do, but I have a question about" and he would cut me off with "DO YOU WANT TO BUY THE CAR OR NOT!?" I had nearly decided that I didn't want to deal with IFS, but in the end, the price was right, so I moved forward with the sale. Because I was buying a car though Avis I had no choice but to use IFS, however, if I were simply refinancing or similar and had a choice (ANY CHOICE), there is no way I would ever work this company! read more

I suppose I should be grateful that the incompetence of this company has led me to this page, which makes me realize that I do not want to purchase a car from Avis. Last week, I went online and made an appointment to test drive a gently used luxury vehicle. The website said that "someone would be contacting me about financing." I received an email with IFS contact information in case I had any questions. I'm paying cash, so I didn't need to contact anyone. There was NEVER, EVER a request to confirm my interest or respond to an email. Yesterday, I received two separate texts confirming today's appointment. I had already cleared my schedule and moved several billable appointments, so I was all set -- and a little excited. Yesterday evening, after a full afternoon of meetings, I found an email from someone named Luz. It was sent at 2:15 PM and informed me that, "because IFS had not heard from me in a few days" they would cancel my test drive if I did not respond to the email within the next 75 minutes. I notice that a number in Austin also called me at about 2:15. As I mentioned, I was in meetings all afternoon and had my phone turned off. I am mystified by the "because we have not heard from you" excuse for canceling the appointment. There has never, EVER been a request for a confirmation. I responded to Luz's email last night and left an angry voice mail. I have not heard a peep from the company in response. So I have inconvenienced both myself and clients, lost billable hours, and have not even received a response from IFS on whether my test drive is actually canceled or not. Update 3/6: Since the company has chosen to write a response that calls me a liar, I have no choice but to paste here the verbatim email that I received, and to which the company refers. As I note above, NO WHERE in this email does it say I should respond or confirm my appointment. I also have the original voicemail, which I would be happy to send to anyone who is curious. Again, it was an introduction, but it did not ask me to respond. Here is the email. I used IFS to purchase my corporate fleet vehicle after leaving my last company as I still had possession of the vehicle and my previous employer agreed to sell it to me. That being said, IFS made the transaction painless, quick, and took care of all of the title work which was the best part! No trips to the BMV, no trips to the bank, everything was done paperless and online, it couldn't have been easier! I got a great rate and a wonderful extended warranty on my vehicle. On top of that, my personal Finance Advisor Alan was excellent. I had a lot of questions that he was able to answer as quickly as they came up. We purchased an Avis rental car through IFS. The Avis program is great but I have no idea why they associate with this company. They called and emailed nearly every day until they got the payment. After getting the money they went MIA and literally would barely answer any communication, as they got their money and had no use for us. It took several months to get the car registered. Essentially you pay a fee of approximately $160 to them to register the car, mess things up and not answer. They made me sign blank power of attorney forms and told me I had to fill out a blank lien holder form even though I paid cash and did not use financing. Lastly, they likely sell your personal information, don't answer the privacy opt out request and have horrible security practices. They offered no secure way to upload personal information or track where your $20,000+ bank check is. I would NEVER get a loan from IFS and wouldn't have deal with them if I wasn't forced to by Avis. Essentially it's a used car hustle but you don't even have a person to talk to. I started this process with Avis Auto Sales apparently that use this company. I worked with Steve little he talks too much he doesn't listen to what you say. I purchased a vehicle they wanted me to pay $150 fee to process the paperwork which my bank didn't need period so when I didn't pay the fee I couldn't get a 90-day plate because they said oh we don't do that that's the third party company that gets the fee. On the Wii U paperwork they owe me a second key or money to get a second key still haven't received the key after 2 months I've contacted Steve twice by email once by phone still no response. I do not recommend this company I'm a USAA customer that's my financial institution and I'm going to recommend all USA members do not use this company ever. I'm 20 years retired out of the military have this is the way they treat their vets the rest you should watch out too. read more

I worked with Sarah Nosal. Initially I was contacted several times a day for documents. I was told i was approved and given my interest rate and monthly payments. I completed the application. Once "approved" Sarah did not keep in contact. I called and emailed, no response. After a week later, and no response, I called the customer service line and reviewed my information online. I was later told My application was closed because my documents weren't received in the time frame.The deception and lack of follow through is what I did not like. I would not recommend. read more

Purchased a car through them. Below is the letter that I sent to CEO Hello, I purchased a car through innovative car funding and had a terrible experience. At one point I was even concerned the process was illegal (shady) being that I had to request a proof of purchase upon purchase of the car. The titling process or the entire process was Never outlined for me as the customer. Terrible customer service. The process of transferring paper was a nightmare. I was given a Texas temporary tag. It was emailed in a PDF to me. So, what the customer now has to figure out how to affix this piece of paper onto the car? I ended up going to an automotive store and buying a sleeve to put a temporary tag in. Isn't this goofy. Doesn't this represent poor customer service. So at the end of march 2018 I test drove a car from the Herndon va Avis location. I liked it and then kept it as I worked to pass papers. It was like pulling teeth to get all the sales paperwork complete. Every step of the way. I eventually sent a cashiers check which I regret. I finally had to ask for some type of proof of purchase. What, I as the customer have to ask for proof of purchase? I eventually got some certificate from the state of Texas showing purchase. I later became concerned when it was the middle of May (now about 45 days since purchase) and I had not received a title nor anything from the DMV in Virginia where I had worked with your company to register the car. Note, I payed your company a fee to handle all the processing paperwork so I wouldn't have to deal with this. Around the middle of May I called. I was at one point told the process could take as long as 60 days. Okay but still weird---no title. Then last week, when I called a title specialist from your office they emailed me saying that the State of Virginia requires you to go in person to the DMV to pick up the title and registration. She then gave me the Fedex tracking number. What????? Why wasn't this process explained to me in length when I passed papers. Here I am looking through the mail. Why did my titling specialist with your company not call me or be forthcoming with an email to explain the entire titling process. Only after I (as the customer ask for more information) am I sent a fedex tracking number. Also, this was weird as the state of Virginia has mailed others that I know their title and registration and they live in Virginia. Hence, this does not make sense. Very, very poor. Also, I should explain that around the week of May 20th I found a mysterious charge from "Avis" on my credit card of around $80. Once again, I had to email your office. Where did this charge come from? I had put down my credit card to test drive the car back in March 2018 but now why this mysterious charge. They did back out the charge but what if I hadn't checked my credit card. They incorrectly charged my credit card almost 60 days after I test drove the car. Wouldn't that make you worried? So now I get to the really strange part. So the office, after I was worried and contacted me, gave me the Fedex tracking number. The paperwork had been delivered to the Sterling Va-DMV office. The tracking number indicated it was delivered on 4/6/18. On Saturday, the 26th of May I went to a DMV that was close to me but accidentally one town over in Chantilly (didn't think the exact DMV office mattered). The clerk at the DMV was very confused as to why I was there. She didn't now why you all would send the title to the DMV. Now, it gets more bizarre. The DMV looks up the VIN# in the system and sees now evidence of that car registered with the Virginia DMV. Okay, so now I call your office on Saturday. I explain to the office that before I go to the other DMV office and wait in another long line that I am very confused. I then spoke to a title specialist on Saturday. This time it was explained to me a different story. It was explained that you all still OWN the car and the title is still in IFS's name. What on earth????? She said I have to go to the DMV that they mailed the paperwork to and pick up the title; however, the title when I pick it up is still in IFS's name. Then, I have to mail back the title to IFS and they have to "perfect" the title and then will mail back to me. Now, a different story. Does this sound legit and normal. I was then told that IFS is not like buying a car through a "dealership". Now, what would you be thinking. It is now a holiday weekend and I have an out of town temporary tag from a different state printed on a piece of paper. I don't feel very confident in the people that I have been working with. I then look for a solution. I want an avis rental car until we can figure this all out--until I get one straight answer and have time to go back up to the DMV. this would ensure that I as the customer feel comfortable with the process and comfortable with the car that I am driving. I had a terrible experience working with a representative from IFS. In the beginning, I was told I would be able to get a refinance with a a company that would bring my monthly bill down significantly. My husband and I agreed to it and a hard inquiry was made. Not a problem. I sent the representative all of the required documents to then get an email a day later saying that my current loan amount was too little and that I wasn't going to qualify. I had mentioned to this representative on the first phone call what I currently owe with my current company which must of went through one ear and out the other after she ran my husbands report and then realized my loan amount wasn't going to be enough to qualify for the new loan. So I asked what my other option were. The next day she sent me a new offer with another company that included GAP and wheel and tire protection. I told her I didn't need this things as my car is an older car and my tires are perfectly fine. Also this new loan wasn't really saving me much. Maybe $10. So I asked to have those two add ons removed. She then told me in order to get this loan I would have to add those because my loan needed to be higher in order to be approved. Again I declined and asked for more options. The next day she came back and said she could get me another refinancing option with a 3rd company. It wasn't as good as a saving as the first option but would be okay. I agreed to it and later on she replied back saying this company will only allow my name to be on the contact and not my husbands, which wouldn't work because I am a stay at home mother with no job, so his info was vital for the approval. I asked how would that be possible if you ran his credit report and collected his financial information? So this means you'd have to run my report too just for me to be denied because I have no proof of income? I was very upset with the whole experience because it didn't seem like she did her job in checking to see if I matched these companies criteria before running a report, and she kept on giving a false sense of hope that I would get refinanced. Now my husband has a hard inquiry on his report and nothing was even done. Had she listened when I was providing her with my information the beginning I feel like all of this chaos would have been avoided. She didn't seem like she was researching and reviewing what my "actual" options could be but instead was just doing a half fast job at trying to get me an approval. Not to mention, the second time she sent me a contract. She never informed of why the GAP and tire and wheel adds ons were on it... as if I was just going to sign without actually looking at the information l. This place is a scam and their employees don't really do their job correctly. When asked if they could remove the Inquiry because it was ran on miscommunication and misinformation being provided she said no. Thanks to the , I will now have to go through a disputing process. I must say that when I first decided to purchase a car from Avis and through IFS, I was quite skeptical. I didn't realize the IFS handled all of Avis's sales. However, all of the work was completed via a few phone calls, emails and filling out the necessary forms. Terry and Laura handled the paperwork very efficiently. In addition, even though we didn't finance through IFS, they coordinated all of the paperwork through our credit union and the State of Colorado Department of Motor Vehicles. Looking back, now that everything is complete, I wouldn't hesitate recommending the purchase of an Avis automobile and working with Laura and Terry at IFS. Innovative Funding Services 1706 E. New Hope Drive, Suite A Leander, TX 78641 AVIS Vehicle Purchase Program I signed up for a Ultimate Test Drive with Avis Car Sales, June 23, 2018. We like the car and decide to buy it. I was informed I had to go through Innovative Funding Service (IFS) for the title transfer even though I was using my bank for the auto loan. IFS only communicates by email and when they call you. I was rarely able to get them on the phone, including when I was with the baking officer picking up the cashiers checks to fund the purchase. When they did choose to communicate it was at their choosing and usually during business hours when I was unable to take call. Their directions were clear at first and became in increasingly pragmatic and unfocused in what they need to complete the title transfer, honestly it was as if they had no idea of what they were doing. I asked if I could record the title myself and they told me they had to to that and they would take care of everything because it was very complicate. I ask about getting the vehicle inspected since I had it on my insurance now, I was told no, they would handle it... I don't know how they expected to to that but it was clear they didn't have there act together so I waited. There initial request below, requesting drivers license front and back, current insurance, photo of odometer on June 23, 2018 was the only request they made at the time. I advise I would be going out of town July 5th and would like to wrap this up before I left for vacation. June 28, 2018 I advise them by email I would be pick up the cashiers checks from the bank and need to know the address to mail the checks, after sever attempts to reach them to get the name and main address to send the checks, i was able to get a supervisor to respond by email late in the day, only to ask if I was paying cash or would it be financed... I advise my banks would be the lien holder. They responded they would send the document by FedEx the next day. July 2 I call and asked where the document were they were sending over FedEx from Austin TX to San Antonio, and was advise the person that was working the file was out on vacation and they would send them by close of day. I again advised I was going out of town on the 3rd. I waited until the evening of July 3rd only to find out they ship it FedEx ground after 16:30 hrs. Estimated delivery July 6th. July 10 they left a message the documents had not been received yet, I advised I went on vacation as planned when the document had not arrived. I return the document along with the cashiers checks July 16th with label Ground label provided. August 10 Only month later, I received a call advising they could not do the title transfer because the vehicle was last registered out of state and would have to be inspected before title transfer could be done. August 24 I received an email stating they required the lenders Letter of Guarantee, that they send had sent me in a previous email which I never received. August 25 email the lien holders address and phone number to IFS. IFS responded, the address did not match the ones they had on file, so the documents had were invalid, and the advisory would have to get with management on Monday. ORIGINAL MESSAGE REQUESTING DOCUMENTATION FROM IFS It's been brought to my attention that you have scheduled a test drive for one of our vehicle. I hope it all goes well. If you decide to purchase the vehicle, below are documents that I will need to move forward. If there were any issues or concerns that you would like to address, please let me know. From this point, if you decide to make this purchase, I will be the one to assist you with until the end. PLEASE SEND ALL DOCUMENTS IN ONE EMAIL, AND VERIFY ALL DOCUMENTS WILL NOT EXPIRE WITHIN THE NEXT 45 DAYS! Please make copies with the outside edges showing in the photo. Waste of a hard inquiry.. (horrible) I went ahead and try this service due to the good review being shown under credit karma. I would like to say that the experience was less than what I have read. I was able to lower my interest rate and was provided with a good interest rate but the savings being saved due to the low interest rate were added to fees like a down payment and other services. They also wanted me to increase my term of 57 months to 60 which is another increase if you break it down. The most horrible thing that happen to me is the hard inquiries which are now showing under my credit. One for IFS and two from the lender which they were able to get for me. I am going to give you a heads up, do not get any of these loan services promising you with a good offer, all the savings being returned are added with other things like fees. Yes they were able to get me a interest rate but with 3 more payments and a $2500 and more down payment. I have a 700 + credit score, if that does not steer you off then go ahead and experience the 9 points lowered and 3 , 2 years long hard inquiry on your credit. I just want to give a better understanding to the masses that yes they can promise you a loan which will decrease your monly payments but at a cost which is disquise as a good offer. My only concern is that it took three extra weeks because minor errors were made which delayed my receiving the vehicle & paperwork. They also need to work work on having better availability for extended hours. I applied and was approved, my IFS rep was name Kimberly. We spoke on the phone to answer general questions. She stated I was approved and offered a warranty and MBA or something like that. I declined that I didn't want to pay for either and she said OK. I was emailed a Docu sign with and without the added warranties. I submitted the form without but kept getting emails stating I should sign the ones with the warranty attach. I sent an email stating I am not interested in the warranty. I was sent documents to sign and was told I had 48 hours to get the papers back. I completed and submitted the forms at Kinkos/Fedex but for some reason the forms wasn't returned overnight but the next day. I got an email from Kim the IFS rep. saying the refinance was voided because she didn't get the forms within 48 hours, I never seen anything in writing from the company just from her email. I called the credit union and they offered me the same deal minus IFS 299.00 document fee. I am the type of woman that you can't push around I read everything I am signing especially if its about money so I will not just sign stuff that's sent to me. I think it's a blessing in disguise because I got a better deal on my own plus 299.00 in my bank account :) read more

I gave these guys a positive review a few days after my car refinance closed. What I did not experience at that point in time is that the job was not complete, and it is still not complete. After 100 days, the new lender has not received a clear title on my car and Innovative Funding has provided justification by blaming Florida policy. I have absolutely no clue what's going on I've been approved for a loan and have sent documents signed numerous agreements it's been 2 weeks since I was promised titling documents (which were supposed to take 2 business days ) they now have the title to my vehicle and have not returned any of my phone calls or emails I'm legitimately worried please please please no one ever go through this go somewhere else read more

My wife and I both reserved different AVIS cars thru them last Saturday as they obviously had a one day sale where all the cars were $525 off as on Sunday we noticed all the cars prices went back up. Our test drives were scheduled for Tuesday at different locations in town but on Monday we were both contacted by IFS that the cars had "a lot of body damage" and could not be shown and they canceled the test drive. Guess what, on Wednesday the cars were back on the site at the higher price. If you are think you will avoid the usual trickery and schemes at the car stealership by going the Avis route, think again. No business ethics at this company. read more

I found these guys on Lending Tree and Credit Karma when I was rate shopping. Harry was super helpful to me and very informative. He was not able to get me the terms I needed, however that did not stop him from being gracious and helping me find the info I needed to get the right loan. For whatever it's worth, they were among the most helpful and easiest to work with out of all the lenders/brokers I talked to over the past month, which is why I went out of my way to write this review. I should have used the reviews before using this company. My experience has not been good. It's been over 4 months and I still don't have plates for my car.
