If incompetence and stupidity had a baby, that baby would be Hewlett Collision Center. Patrick Bradford was my adjuster and you should avoid him at all costs. And frankly the incompetence that Patrick displayed appears to be endemic to the whole place so best to just avoid it all together. Let's not mention the two months they had my car and the complete lack of communication. Instead let's focus on my insurance company paying them on a Monday via electronic transfer, me coming in, assured I can pick my car up on Friday of that week only to be told no in fact they don't see the payment on their end. My insurance company emailed Patrick on Monday to let him know and he called me on Friday to tell me my car was ready (15 minutes before they closed). I arrived and Patrick had left (naturally) but the other people were like nope, come back Monday. I call Patrick on the following Monday at 7:10. He assures me he will check and call me back. Does he call back? No. I show up at 8:30. He hasn't called my insurance. He has done nothing. I've been there 5 minutes and his manager comes over and says they found the money! It was deposited on Friday! A Christmas miracle!! Why wasn't I allowed to take my car on Friday? Why is Patrick so incompetent? Who knows? But stay away. Oh did Patrick have the inspection done at the dealer that I asked him to do and he confirmed he would? No course not! Stay away folks. It's incompetent out here. read more

What an absolute, disorganized mess. I'll spare all the details - but 2 months for side curtain airbags and a tire replacement. We were told to pick up the car on Friday just before close - after hounding all week long, verifying payment, etc. drove 30 min out there 'no proof of payment in the system, nothing we can do until Monday.' Had a voicemail saying pick it up, had proof from our insurance site that it was paid on Monday electronically and they refused to give us the car. Guy at the dealership said 'we have it, payment is all confirmed, come pick it up here' - but manager then came out and said 'oh, that wasn't us' A. MESS. Two months without the car. Don't do it - the work isn't worth it. The dealership is junk for service too - but the only option north. Doesn't make it hard to believe that VW is riddled with recalls. read more

If I could give this place a negative star, I would be aware that when you bring your car here these people lie and lie and lie. Also be sure to lock and hide any personal belongings. I had the manager admit that his employee dug through my car and my glove box. Unbelievable I have personal information in there, and I don't know what was stolen and what could've got pictures taken of. I have the recording of the manager, admitting that his employee went through my glove box. If you want your car fixed correctly and done honestly it's not here. Go find another collision center. I initially gave a five-star review to Don Hewlett Collision after I picked my truck up earlier this week. Upon further review of insurance work done, I noticed that the chrome lettering is significantly misaligned ! I was not sure if this was the case until I looked at dozens of Canyon Denali photos, which confirm this. Not a happy customer at this moment and extremely suprised at the lack of quality control at such a reputable dealership. All you need is a cheap ruler and a pair of eyes to see the indented ridge across the tailgate. I will visit the dealership this week to see how soon this error can be fixed. read more

I want to let everyone know if you need body work done for your car or truck I strongly recommend Hewlett in Georgetown. I have an older model Buick that had damage to the trunk lid I didn't know if a lid could be found but the body shop manager Gabriel Coy found one and his guys even matched the paint perfectly my car looks great. Several years ago my car was involved in an accident the person who hit me damaged the driver side back door I took my car to Hewlett they did a great job then. I brought my car here after I was T-boned in an intersection. Ultimately my car was totaled, but I still had a poor experience with this shop and I wouldn't return if god forbid I needed collision repair in the future. My complaints all lie with my service advisor, Patrick, and his lack of follow-through. Patrick advised me he would notify me when the tow truck dropped my car off. That never happened. Then he said he'd send me a service authorization form for me to sign that same day. I had to follow up by email and voicemail the next day in order to receive that from him. Following that time, I sent him four other emails and left two other voicemails with questions from my insurance company. He did not respond to a single email or voicemail I left for him. Poor customer service won't go far in a metro as large as Austin with a million other options available. I recommend researching those other options when selecting a repair facility. read more

My sons car was hit by a third party driver who was changing lanes though she did not have clearance. She made a left turn onto the roadway and immediately went into the right lane hitting my sons car on the drivers door. The damaged went all the way to the rear as he was traveling forward. They did an excellent job on the repair. The main trouble was getting the ladies insurance to cooperate and foot the bill plus the rental car, which they worked out all the details, though it took a good week or more. There is only one paint blemish which is covered under warranty if we decide to take it back. I did have them install new headlights which I paid for out of pocket. They look awesome and that was only $300 for parts and labor. read more

We had our car towed here after a collision. Joshua and team communicated every step of the way. When parts were taking longer to arrive from manufacturer, they communicated. When our insurance company dropped the ball, they also communicated. Hewlett Collision Center even took care of us and helped prod Nationwide when they were being overly difficult and stingy on something that should have been covered. Were able to fix some extreme hail damage on a very tight timeline due to a military TDY. They were clearly overwhelmed but still communicated clearly and did great quality work repairing my Chevy Tahoe. If I'm back in Central Texas I'm the near future will definitely use them again for any body work. read more

This was the worst service ever. Our new car received hail damage in May. Hewlett put us off until June. We dropped the car off in August. They milked the insurance while we had to pay thousands in car rentals. Car was FINALLY ready today -- Oct. 23!!! $2,600 for Hail! The car had a scrap on the bumper which they milked $6,000 from insurance and it wasn't even repaired completely. We said "NO" to an additional $1,000 so they gave us the car with an unfinished repair that looks just like it did when the car went in. This business truly milked the insurance for all they could for as long as they could and took advantage from get go. Don't use this company. read more

Rip off shack. Give you a very inaccurate estimate with very little effort put into it just so they can hold your vehicle forever while trying to get 4 times the money from your insurance company. Then charge you if you want to get your vehicle instead of waiting an unknown amount of time to get yours repaired. This is after quoting 7-10 days to get yours repaired and 10 days in not knowing how long it will take to get get started or finished. Rod is the one that charged me. There is no repair order because a paid the invoice and left with my truck still damaged. After showing him charges on my invoice for remove and reinstall. I showed him pics and video that the biggest charges were not even removed or reinstalled. SCAM. I still have the pics and video Incase anyone doesn't believe me. And an email trail. read more

***STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE*** If you plan on taking your vehicle you better: Pre wash you vehicle and take high resolution photos or your entire vehicle because if this place cause additional damages/scratched stains to your vehicle they will deny it and won't fix it and sag it was their when you dropped it off and show you pictures of the car dirty if you dropped and just say it was under the dust......REALLY :/ Document your mileage when dropped off. Pictures of you interior Incase stains magically show up. The pictures I will be attaching are of the car after the repairs were done and I was told it was ok to go pick it up, which I did not till the fixed the run in the new painted bumper, dirt in the clear coat and a metallic smudge in actual paint and clear coated over which they never did fix. My car had 3 addictions scratcher on it while in their possession, which they say were existing but cover with dust and they have pictures which I hope they post them all on here. I have other pics if you all want to see. The descriptions on the photos are limited to the amount of text allowed on this site. RECAP OF WHAT THEY WOULDN'T FIX: They didn't fix the smudge in the new paint that they applied. (THEY SAID IT WAS ACCEPTABLE QUALITY PER THEM) Scratch on door near handle buffed our but not repaired. I was very disappointed with the service of Hewlett Collision. My estimate of 5-7 days by Nicholas ended up being 34 days. I was called only once during the entire 34 days and had to call them at least twice a week to find out any status of the work. After accidently being sent an automatic text message and email saying my car was ready for pick up I went out only to discover they were unaware the message had been sent and the car was not finished. I was told that my car must have aftermarket parts, which it does not, everything on it is factory. This was presented as the reason it was taking longer then planned to receive the correct parts. This was not of course the case because when I went to pick up my car the wrong front bumper had been installed. This was frustrating but they also forgot to do the Paintless Dent Removal that was on the service order. Nicholas was not there when I picked up the car so the advisor that was there offered to correct all the mistakes. Correcting the mistakes would have meant leaving my car there for who knows how much longer. I was done, I just took my car and left. I felt like they didn't know what they were doing and knew it, but would rather not answer the phone, misrepresent and dodge you to avoid confrontation then actually take responsibility for there shoddy service. I will never take my car here again and advise you not to either! read more

2-3 day estimate turned to 4-5 day estimate and 15 days later I got my car back, with a vibration. Took back twice, first time they said it's fixed and it wasn't, 2nd time was given a reason why it was vibrating that was incorrect, in both instances I took it to other facilities and finally found that the problem was an engine mount that they had left unplugged. Unrealistic repair time estimates, no communication and lack of knowledge would be 3 good reasons to not go here. read more
