This store is adorable - always a solid offering of trendy and timeless clothing, quirky/fun gifts, plants, accessories, etc. Sort of like Target x10000 (you go in for one thing and walk out with 30). So much thought has been put into each product and detail of the store itself. I normally have to steer myself away from boutiques because I'm a poor young person and can't afford boutique pricing, but everything here is fair, affordable, and (yes it's true) high quality. When my parents came to visit recently, we stopped by Emerhoff's Footwear to get me a new pair of sneakers (mine had holes in the heels) and also to find a solid pair of shoes for my upcoming internship. The service was amazing--from the wide selection and quality brands to the genuinely helpful staff. I was able to try on a bunch of different sneakers until I found the right pair. Then, when it came to the work shoes, they helped me test out insoles and different fits until we found something that worked perfectly. A special shoutout to Chloe--she went above and beyond. They ordered the work shoes in for me, and instead of making me pay a ridiculous shipping fee to get them to my dorm, Chloe personally delivered them. Amazing service and knowledge of their customer base, I am proud to say that they value quality and service in high regard. Huge thanks to both Chloe and the store owner for the top-notch service, not just during the purchase, but all the way through until the shoes were in my hands. I HIGHLY recommend Emerhoff's if you're in Ames or anywhere nearby. You won't be disappointed.

Staff members Amanda and Michael were so impressive, knowledgeable, and friendly. I love their huge selection of shoes, and their pricing is superb. BTW, great socks, including a new Florsheim model that both recommended and I now love. It's fun to go to a great store where the staff is elite. Now I know why one of my favorite people loved it so much before she passed.

The staff informed us that this is the original location, so it's the smallest of the three in town, but there was so much to look at! I can't wait to check out the larger locations! All of the staff were incredibly friendly, patient, and helpful. Everything was pretty well organized and not too overwhelming. There is definitely a lot inside, but in my opinion, you don't feel crowded and can easily look around for hours in here. All of the prices are wonderful as well! Everything is so affordable as well, and in great condition; some items are even brand new! Overflow beats Goodwill any day of the week! It's a relaxed environment and they give back to the community; win-win! Anything we need to donate will be donated here from now on :) Absolutely worth the visit!!

However there is also over priced junk that for some reason is never pulled from the shelves. Beware of items labeled "vintage" they are most likely overpriced. Ashley took a lot of her time to track down my dresses - sitting on a loading dock in California and then in Dallas TX - due to a shipping strike! Couldn't believe it. She was so apologetic and kept me in the loop on everything so I was never wondering what was going on or where my dresses were. She was absolutely on top of everything. I couldn't have asked for a better advocate for me and my bridal party! The dresses came in on time and looked gorgeous. Everybody loved their dresses and I was SO pleased.
