Yes, I , recommend this business. I recently had an 18 month on going problem with my rear tire holding air without being forced to add air each morning before going on a ride. If I could give Trek Oro Valley more than 5 stars, I would. I bought a Fuel EX from the Trek website and had it delivered to this location. First and foremost, the time between placing my order and the shop receiving my bike-in-a-box was just a few days, incredible. Not only that, but the shop spared no time in getting my bike unboxed and built up for me. I only had to wait an additional day or two before they reached out to let me know that it was ready. It was an absolute killer shopping experience and both Trek Online & Trek Oro Valley didn't skip a beat. When I came in to pick up my bike, every staff member was incredibly friendly, well-kempt and extremely polite. I was greeted instantly and all it took was to tell them my name and they knew who I was right away. I had never seen or spoken to them before, just placed an order on Trek's website! Brilliant. They sat me on the bike to ensure my suspension was calibrated correctly and made a few adjustments to ensure a good fit. They allowed me to test ride the bike in the back of their shop (plenty of space and a few curbs to get an idea of how the bike feels). They had helmets ready to use for this purpose. I was happy right out of the gate with how the bike was presented to me. About a month later, I noticed some minor issues with my drive train and my dropper post, so I brought my bike back in to have it serviced. I was told that it would be about a business week to have my bike ready as they had a queue to work through (understandable considering the time of year and it's comparable to lead times at other shops, no issues). To my surprise, I had received a text message THE NEXT DAY (today) that my bike was ready. When I excitedly came in to pick up my bike, the mechanic himself brought the bike to me and gave me a run-down on the work that he did. I really appreciated this as a lot of the shops i'd been to in the past tend to keep their mechanics in the back. I wish I had gotten his name because he exuded high levels of customer service and hospitality too! Not only that, but for reasons i'm not aware of, they had decided to perform the services I had requested for free. Perhaps this is due to how recently I had purchased the bike, or an attempt to build rapport, or some other reason I am not sure. This was an awesome surprise. Somebody at this Trek location has a deep appreciation for customer service and has clearly cultivated an amazing customer service oriented culture at this location. With how expensive some of these bikes can be, I have a lot of concerns about leaving my well-loved bike in the hands of strangers. Nick and the team at Trek Oro Valley has eradicated that anxiety for me and has fully gained my trust. I will continue to bring my bike to Trek Oro Valley for as long as it is feasible to do so! By the way, my bike functions amazing after a short test ride. Couldn't be happier. I highly recommend this location, you're in good hands. read more

This update is to Trek Corporate, all or most comments are about corporate, with some blame on Trek of Montrose Colorado. They didn't make it easy to get the bike, and had to pay additional $60 to repack the bike. I had to get corporate involved, by a person named Bryce, in order to coordinate the shipping, for an additional $160...,, then pay $100 at my local Oro Valley store to put it together, In my opinion that's adding insult to injury. They like to all pass the blame, without corporate taking the blame, it was pass the buck. All together I paid an extra $300 more due to all the passing the buck. read more

As a loyal Trek owner for more than 12yrs I've experienced the great, good, and bad of Trek-corporate shops. Unfortunately, this store on Oracle falls into the bad. They have no concept of customer service. When you walk in they make you feel like you should be thanking them for being there. There's this attitude of "What do you want?" as opposed to "How may I help you?" Having just moved to Tucson, I brought my Madone in and asked if they could make a quick adjustment - something had gotten bumped in the move and I had some severe chain rub when in my small ring. I'm not a mechanic but I know enough to know this is about a 2-minute adjustment max. The first employee I encountered told me immediately that it would be 3-4 weeks... huh? She said that's how far out they are on repairs. I explained it wasn't a repair, just a wrench tweak and offered to pay whatever for them to do it. She hemmed and hawed and then allowed me to where the mechanics were. Two mechanics were on duty - one was working on a bike, the other was leaning against the counter on his phone. She asked them "How far out are we on repairs?" The working mechanic said - without looking up - "2-3 weeks." So then I spoke up, explaining all I needed and if they could just take a look, I'd be grateful as a new Trek owner in Tucson. The mechanic finally looked at me and said, "No. two to three weeks." Not "sorry" not "I wish we could," just No. And the other mechanic just stood there staring - doing nothing. I left and took my bike to a non-Trek shop up the street. They had three mechanics ALL working on bikes. When I explained the problem, one of them stopped what he was doing, grabbed the tool and made the adjustment to my bike in less than two minutes. Then he went right back to work. That's what customer service looks like. And that's why that shop has a new loyal customer in me. When I told a fellow cyclist and Trek bike owner what happened he nodded and said, "Yeah, everyone knows that shop is full of primadonnas." Lesson learned. Customer Service is the life blood of the industry. There are very few great mechanics, and most all bike brands have similar pricing and features, so it really comes down to customer service. I'm sure without the backing of Trek corporate, this store would be out of business. read more

SPEECHLESS... My dad and I were looking for a loco bike shop just to take my new bike in to get fix the front break, we walked in the store and so KINDLY was met by Brock with smiles and stated "what can we do for you?" After we told him he said "bring your bike in" we did. We where at the tune up area, Nick who approach the bike immediately knew what was wrong and took complete charge of basically a tune up in my eyes and my dad's eyes. Honestly there are no words to describe Brock and Nick of their complete knowledge and kindness. Let's just say that is how costumer service was once here in this country. Nick not only educated me and my dad, he spoke to us in complete respect. I can go on and on, but I'm going to leave it at this, Brock and Nick along with the young lady at the front were so freaking knowledgeable and they actually listen and understood our concerns, we will be back very very shortly on purchasing two new bikes. I just attended my first Trek Dirt Series weekend hosted by this store. I am new to mountain biking and they put on an evening workshop for all of the attendees. Nick taught us all things suspension. He was very good about making sure we understood the different parts of the suspension and answered all of our crazy questions. Ava and Will were also very knowledgeable and helpful to everyone from the camp. They helped me with an adjustment to my handlebars and spent time explaining the components on my bike and how they work. Made a big difference in my riding the next day. Took a 1 year old bike here for annual maintenance in perfect working condition, was told I would receive a call the next afternoon when it was ready to pick up. The next day came and went with no contact from Trek, so I called them on the third day, only to be told that it wasn't finished and it would be ready the next day. Called them on the fourth day near end of business since they still hadn't called me, and was told it still wasn't finished and would be ready the next day. Drove to the store on the 5th day when they told me it had be finished all along. (I don't have a vehicle to carry it, so I had to return later after getting an Uber to the store) I went out of town for a couple weeks, then came back into town, and with less than 100 miles on the bike, it now has drivetrain issues. The lubricant they put on the chain picked up a bunch of dust and dirt (so bad that I had to clean and re-lubricate it in under 50 miles of city riding). I've had the chain jump off the front set of gears twice now, and it has started making a clicking noise coming from the bottom bracket, and upon further inspection there is now play in the bracket. I called the shop twice to try to talk to someone after they opened at 10am, and no one was answering the phones, so I drove down to the shop to try and talk to a manager. After trying to explain the problem to a sales person, with the person he indicated to be the manager listening behind the counter, the manager just watched the whole conversation and wouldn't come talk to me while the sales person ushered me toward the door. I asked if they could use their pick-up/delivery service (advertised as "Starting at $20) to come pick up the bike so we could get this looked at and they told me it was going to cost $30 each way for a total of $60. When I replied that that price was absurd, they asked if I could just ride the bike in, even though I had already indicated that it was having drivetrain issues. Something that is also partially my fault, I paid for their deluxe service because after a year I had forgotten that the bike includes free lifetime maintenance. Not one person at the shop when I was dropping it off or picking it up mentioned that, even though I had purchased the bike from this very store a year ago (and had told them that when I brought it in). They would've known that this was included, but said nothing. This is by far the worst customer service I have had in a long time. I love all four of the Trek mountain bikes I've ever owned, and near as I can tell, the only way to cause any real major damage to a Trek bike is to take it to a Trek dealer for service. I'll never come back to this Oro Valley store, and I'd recommend that if you want quality service, go to one of the other bike shops in town. UPDATE: Trek has clearly reached out to me both here on Yelp and via my contact information from when I had my bike serviced. While I do appreciate this effort, it took a phone call to the corporate customer support number, a 1 star review here, and taking my bike to the other Trek store here in town before this happened. There was just too much wrong with my experience with this store between trying to get my bike back after the initial service, and then again trying to contact them in response to the issue (and having the employee lie to me that they would've gladly taken my phone call after 9:45am without me having to come down there at which point I showed him the outgoing call log on my cell phone showing two calls after that point in the morning). Even with them reaching out, my bike was already at the other store, where two of their employees apologized to me for the poor experience I had here, even though it wasn't their fault. Even so, I would've gone to a third party if the other Trek store couldn't handle this because I didn't feel that I could trust taking my bike here again. In response to what Greg said about them not being in the business of charging customers for free maintenance, I'm sure that's fine. But when I, as a customer, am under the impression that I have the option to pay $70 for a basic tune up or the sale price of $90 (If I remember correctly) for a deluxe tune up, the $20 is not a big deal. If I know it was a $90 difference, there was no way I would've gone for the deluxe service. They were more than happy to accept my $90 without making sure I knew I had a free service though. read more

Dropped off bike for tune-up on Tuesday and told them I wouldn't be able to pick it up until Saturday. The guy writes "Friday" on the ticket to make sure it will be ready. I go at noon today (Saturday) to pick it up and the frame is on the rack and completely stripped of parts. The guy tells me the parts are still being cleaned and he hopes it will be ready today. This is what I get for my $150? They can't tune-up a bike in 4 days? Terrible service. **UPDATE** They called on Sunday to say the bike was ready. When I went to pick it up, the rear tire is completely flat. To be fair, the bike looks good, but between not having it ready when promised and having a flat tire after a $150 tune-up, I won't be back. They are both professional in appearance, clean, well-stocked and have outstanding associates in both locations. My wife and I were treated with great patience and thorough support as we considered what bike(s) would work for us. We were able to test ride several eBikes so that we could compare how they ride and their comfort level. I took my wife's bike in to be checked out and all I received was a lousy attitude. When I contacted them to express my displeasure at being disrespected by their employee I was only met with silence. AFTER waiting a couple of months for a response I recontacted them. I have been shopping here for the last 2 years. Steve is one of the mechanics, and is a very informative, patient guy. He overhauled my mountain bike rear hub, and told me that i would probably need new bearings. He told me to see how repacking the hub holds up. He was considerate of my pocket book. After approx 3 rides, the bearings eventually became too stiff, due to the bearings being bad. I took the bike back to get new bearings. Trek bikes only charged me for parts. What a great business this is! several weeks later, i shopped for mountain bike shoes, and another guy helped me. He was very informative, and spent 20 minutes on the pros and cons of each shoe. I have purchased a trek cruiser from this business. I will continue to shop this store, and strongly recommend this business to anyone. Keep up the good work guys. read more
