Dr. Chesnut provides excellent medical services for me and my wife. She's so personable, and very thorough during our medical examinations.

She wasn't overly warm, but she was clear, professional, and approachable. Over the past year, though, my experience has shifted, and based on other reviews, it seems I'm not alone. About a year ago, she stopped accepting my insurance. I chose to continue care and pay out of pocket ($250 per visit) because I valued our established relationship. That felt worthwhile, until this recent experience. I called ahead to let the office know I would be 3-5 minutes late, thinking it was the respectful thing to do. During that call, I was informed for the first time of a new late policy: if you are late, you won't be seen, and if you reschedule, there's a $50 charge. This policy had never been communicated to me previously, nor had I signed anything acknowledging it. I expressed that I understood I was late and was completely willing to accept a shortened appointment, whether that meant a few minutes in person or even a quick phone call. I was trying to be flexible and respectful of her time. Unfortunately, Dr. Perez declined all options, including speaking with me briefly by phone. When I arrived, about five minutes late, I remained in the office during what would have been my scheduled appointment time. Dr. Perez moved in and out of a room nearby but did not acknowledge me, make eye contact, or offer any explanation or empathy. After three years as a patient, that lack of basic communication and care was honestly the most upsetting part. Because of that experience, I won't be returning. This wasn't about a policy; it was about how I was treated in that moment.

I gave birth to twins when my older son was 2-1/2. I had pre eclampsia and difficulty gaining the strength I needed to take care of them as I wanted. After seeing him and not improving, I called him again and he said impatiently that he had other really sick patients who needed him and why was I bothering him. He reluctantly ordered a chest xray and it turned out I had pneumonia. I don't know why it took him several months to order such a simple thing, when I had symptoms all along. Some time later I had another chest xray prior to sinus surgery. There was a visible lump/growth in my lung of unknown origin. Dr Margolis' advice was to wait and have another xray in 6 months. This was unsatisfactory to me. On my own I went to a pulmonologist to address the situation. I left his practice.

Front office, not a medically trained individual, tried to push me away until I insisted on seeing the doctor. Then she added I could see the doctor but only talk about cough not other symptoms like lightheaded and fatigued. I was probably in my 30-early 40 when I was at this doctor. This doctor is respected by his peers, but he gets a 1-2 star. His Ability to explain things clearly to patient = 1. He asked if I had a symptom. I didn't understand what he was talking about and so I just I told him this is what I am feeling. He asked again not trying to explain another way. When I again said I don't understand what you mean. He still didn't try to explain himself and then he dismissed how I was feeling. He said OK you don't have vertigo or dizziness. Uh but the room goes foggy, and I feel like I will faint not normal is that? Dismissed symptom as no problem. How can he properly diagnosis conditions if he doesn't understand or listen to patient's symptoms? Arrogance = 5*. Worse office experience ever had. I ended up with better care at urgent care. Save your money pay concierge fees with a doctor who cares and a front office assistant that doesn't act like she is a licensed professional. If you like doctors that don't spend time and have no patience, then this doctor is of you.

I would put 0 stars if I could…read more I had an extremely bad experience with this office. I saw Dr. Kornder once, and I honestly believe something is seriously off with her--either mentally or possibly due to substance use. She spoke extremely fast and seemed very "wired," which made me uncomfortable from the start. Her attire was also unkempt and unprofessional. The office was dirty and unprofessional as well. When I needed a referral to home health, she said she would do it right away (on Monday 1/6) and she said I would hear from them tomorrow. I did not hear from them that Tuesday. When I called home health, they said they never received the referral. I attempted to follow up with her office only to be treated badly by her front office person. My request was that the referral was not received and could she please send it in ASAP. The front office girl said she would give the doctor the message. As of Thursday, the request was still not sent in. When I was able to reach another person in her office, that person confirmed the fact that the doctor never sent the referral. Then, I got a call from Dr. Kornder herself on Thursday. Her initial and only verbal contact was to yell and scream at me and accuse me that I had no right to call her office and tie up her phone lines - making other accusations as well. She was totally out of line. She never addressed the fact that she never sent in the referral request. She attacked me verbally and very, very abusively only to confirm my feeling that the woman is severely unwell. Nobody, let alone a medical professional, should treat a patient this way, ever.
