I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Lindwall. I've been seeing her for about 7 years. She has helped me many times with the pain in my body. She is never in a hurry. She sits and listens to everything I have to say and suggests what she thinks I should do. I would recommend her to anyone in fact I bought my husband in with some problems and she really went into deep investigations but was not able to find any Arthritic problems. I do not recommend Dr. Lindwall at all. She stopped taking me as a patient because I canceled my appointment after my family dog passed away. She also didn't even have the decency to call me herself to inform me of this. She had her receptionist do it. I ended up leaving in tears after Dr. Lindwall told me I was too complex of a case for her after waiting 5 weeks for an appointment. She literally said she did not have time to review my medical records. I have autoimmune aplastic anemia (rare bone marrow failure), pericarditis, psoriasis and arthritis. She suggested I seek help a rheumatologist at a major medical center. I felt dismissed and a waste of her time. On a less important note, they required a referral which my insurance doesn't require and had to get from my cardiologist. Then It took me 3 times calling and 2 messages to actually schedule an appointment so back room was disappointing. read more

Dr. Lindwall is a kind, compassionate miracle worker. I've been seeing her since 2016, and by the time I found her I was in terrible shape with arthritis. She was so diligent about arriving at the correct diagnosis, and truly gave me my life back. She takes her time with every patient and pays attention to patients' overall wellness. Her knowledge is broad and deep, and she stays very current with emerging treatments and science, so that anyone lucky enough to see her is going to get the best possible, compassionate care. It's a busy office between patient visits, treatments, and constant phone calls asking the doctor questions, but the staff handles it well and is likewise compassionate and helpful. I have been going to Dr. Lindwall since 2021. I have a disease that requires an infusion every 5 weeks for 2 hours. During my 2 hours, I feel cared for by the nurse who monitors me. Michelle always keeps me informed of my appointments and checks in on me to make sure I am physically healthy to have the infusion. Zoya greets me as I come in and leave the office. She also doesn't give me a hard time when I'm not doing okay and need to reschedule. Dr. Lindwall monitors my progress and recommended the infusion, which makes me feel 100 times better then when I was on an injection once a week. This is my team. They help me live the best life regardless of my disease. I couldn't do this without them. read more

My experience with the staff and the doctor was terrible! I called needing to have questions answered. First I did not receive a call back and the next time I called was told there was no message of me calling. I waited 2 days and received a call from the nurse. She took all my information, and then I waited again for days to hear answers. When I did hear back they did not answer the questions. I received a call from the receptionist telling me the doctor wanted to see me. When I did sit with her I was told my symptoms were not something she had heard of before. I had 11 days of pain from 2 injections in my belly. Also when I asked if she would have wanted to know that I had fallen down 2 more times since we spoke, she said yes. But her nurses felt I should wait to tell her at our scheduled apt 2 months later. When I asked if there was correlation of the medication injected to my falling incidences, she said NO. I came home and without much research read, Headache ( with I have chronic migraines, up to 10-14 a month) and numbness or weakness in face, arm or { legs} difficulty talking changes in vision or{ loss of balance}. Needless to say, this information was disturbing and very informative. The last straw was when she said, she "had patients with much worse conditions such as leukaemia, and here I was in her office taking up her time." NOooooooooooooooooooo, do NOT go to Dr. Lindwall, your treatment and care will be dismissed. read more

*Review of Office only* Would have loved to have seen the doctor, but the office was impossible. First they told me they needed a referral, which I went and got, but after getting the referral I called back the next day and the same person said they were not taking new patients! Really? They could have told me this upfront and not made me bother my GP? Then they said they would ask for an exception, but asked if I'd ever seen a rheumatologist before. When I explained I saw one once but was looking for a new one, they said they don't take patients who already have a doctor! Then, to top it off, she brought up insurance by announcing: "Just so you know, we don't take Obama-care!" Really??? "Obama Care"??? Such a shame when a good doctor has unhelpful staff. read more

Dr. Lindwall I know sometimes is late to see her patients the reason is she is in no rush to explain your diagnosis, treatment and goals . I really don't mind the wait. I rather have to wait for a physician but once I am seen she gives me full attention and care . Although the practice is largely comprised of immunocompromised patients, they are NOT taking airborne precautions against Covid. Staff half-heartedly wear loose masks and physician walked into the office without one and donned one later. Not an N95 to be seen! During the first visit she looked over bloodwork and history and told me there were injections and medications that could be added to help my pain and debilitation. At the second visit (after she failed to order the specific tests that reflect the abnormalities/disease state), she got very aggressive, said bloodwork was "normal" and she couldnt help me. She gave me a USELESS referral to a nutritionist who could see me in five months. HINT: a nutritionist cant treat life threatening autoimmune disease! I was so disappointed and really cant account for the difference between all the interventions she mentioned at the first visit and the gaslighting, invalidation and worthless referral at the second visit. My illness has nearly been fatal several times - the last thing I need is to be "on trial" having to prove there is a problem! read more

This is the most unorganized and unprofessional office I have ever been too. The front t office is rude and can't do their job correctly. Tells you your insurance is good there and then you get a huge bill cause they don't know how to check eligibility and networks. The not to mention you get labs and no one calls with the results. When you call they say the dr doesn't make calls for that you need an appt....oh and we are booking months out!! Who wants to get lab work and wait months for results. Dr. Lindwall is absolutely amazing! After almost 4 long years of dealing with debilitating health issues and seeing specialist after specialist she finally diagnosed me. I had been telling every physician I saw what I thought was wrong with me - turns out they were just running general panels that turned up normal. Dr. Lindwall ran an antibody test for the same issue and my numbers were SKY HIGH! Turns out that my autoimmune can reek havoc on your body for years before anything actually shows up abnormal in a normal blood panel. I was recommended to Dr Lindwall by a colleague. As a new patient, I had a FaceTime with her on 5/12-I waited an hour before she joined the call. Between 5/13 and 5/25, I sent 7 emails and left several voicemails-none were returned or acknowledged in any way. Ironically, her office voicemail said to "not leave numerous voicemails". Well, that's exactly what patients do when they are completely ignored and feeling anxious. I finally had a Face Time with her on 5/26-this time I waited 45 minutes. When I referenced some of the information I had sent to her, she didn't know what I was talking about. Her office assistant (behind the scenes) whispered to her that she had the emails and the doctor stepped away to read them. She then came back and said she didn't know what was wrong. She suggested I get a 2nd opinion and said she would send me some names-she never did. Would not recommend. read more

My Internist who referred me to this terrible doctor never charged me a fee. I went in for the results of my MRI. I had questions about a serious medication she was recommending for my recently diagnosed arthritis. She immediately became impatient, dismissive, rude, laughing and telling me she didn't have time to be questioned about this medication. Basically I should just trust her and why am I worried. It's not going to kill me. When I asked about the cost of this expensive drug, she said, "Now you're questioning me about the cost? I have other patients I need to see and don't have time for this. You came in here with questions." Uh, yes of course I did! It's my body and my right to question my doctor about serious medications she is recommending. She asked me to return the sample she had given me which I did. Horrible bedside manner. Very, very arrogant. read more

Dr. Lindwall helped me understand why my wrists had been hurting quite badly after about five other doctors couldn't figure it out. She helped me get just the right dosage of drugs to manage my lupus, the minimum dose needed to keep the pain and inflammation down. She has a kind and caring manner and I'm very comfortable talking with her. She helped me understand my blood tests and get my Vitamin D level up. Dr. Lindwall seems interested in my well being in a way that is unusual for doctors, who usually want to do the minimum and push you out the door. I would recommend Dr. Lindwall for anyone with lupus. Her physician's assistant and office staff are also caring, nice, and capable. read more

This office is incredible! The front desk is on top of all appointments and lab work. They don't miss a thing. They are so friendly and kind. Jackie, Jeanette, Michelle, Vicky, and I know I'm leaving someone out. Dr Lindwall is fantastic. She came to the hospital as soon as I called and I wasn't even a patient yet. But it was an emergency. I usually don't give bad reviews but in this case, it needs to be done. Overall, Dr. Lindwall is a good doctor and my complaint really isn't against her care of my wife. It's her office staff that basically turned going to the Dr office pure hell!! Rosie the so called "office manager" is a nightmare. She calls us up to tell us the results of my wife liver X-ray but the only problem is my wife didn't have a X-ray of her liver...after explaining that to Rosie all we get is "never mind, it's the wrong chart..." then she hang up with no apologies, etc...nothing. Another fine example; Rosie calls up just 2 days ago asking my wife about the results of lab work she had done; my wife responded that she doesn't know and that she needs to ask the lab as my wife never got the results. Why call my wife and asked for lab results that should already be in her file? If it isn't there then call the lab....it's not rocket science. At this point my wife was confused and asked to talk to Dr. Lindwall at which time Rosie hanged up on her. Today my wife had her appt with Dr. Lindwall and wanted to talk to her about her staff and at that point the Dr began to yell at my wife and made her cry and told her things that apparently Rosie had said about my wife, etc. All lies...as what Rosie and the Dr apparently didn't realize is that when Rosie was talking to my wife both times I was there with her...I was also with her listening on the phone today too while the Dr was yelling at my wife. Just plain rude and unprofessional! I already made an appt with another doctor for my wife and I'm hoping a better office staff/manager as well. I'm a firm believer that the staff who works for you represent how you (in this case, the doctor) is seen. If your staff is good, then that reflects greatly on the doctor, if the staff sucks (as in this case) then...there you go. Have been Dr. Lindwall's patient for about five years. It took a couple of years to bring my condition under control but she stuck with me and was extremely detailed about her approach. I am grateful she is the excellent diagnostician she is. From my observations and personal experience, Dr. Lindwall is a brilliant doctor, among the best in her field. Certainly I would rank her head and shoulders above any other rheumatologists in our area. She has a very large practice composed of patients who have been with her for a long time, with many new patients trying to see her. She is worth the wait! Initially Dr. Lindwall told me I only needed to make an appt once a year and at the six month mark have blood tests only and they'd call if problem. I just saw her in January, and she was visibly irritated and loudly and rudely informed me she is NOT in the telephone medicine business. She has messed up my blood work by not ordering everything and/or not specifying a certain lab she wants to read the results. They are going paperless and refused to give me my copy of blood work until appt was over so I had no way to make notes next to the results as doc explained them. Needless to say, I have no interest in returning to her. To make matters even worse, their billing office billed insurance I no longer have even tho I informed the front office of the insurance change. read more

I am not sure why there are bad reviews on this site. I have not experienced any of the things discussed on here at all. In fact it has been just the opposite. Dr Lindwall has been very kind toward me and my situation. I came to Dr. Lindwall desperate and in extreme pain. I am not even 50 years old and my dad who is 80 was walking around better then I could. Every other doctor I went to would look at me and say oh your not that bad its something you will need to live with from now on. Dr. Lindwall literally spent over in hour talking with me, looking at my skin and she asked me a lot of questions. A couple more visits just like the first and a whole lot of blood later and I am on to my new life! She diagnosed me and we tried a couple of medicines. She answered all my questions.After a bit of trial and error with medication, a few referrals to other doctors, I am happy to say I am about 90% better! Her PA is just as kind! I had an appointment with Dr. Lindwall today and she spent about 30 mins with me. Again she was kind and listened. She even commented on how much better I looked now compared to the first time I saw her last November. Who remembers that with so many patients. I recommend her to everyone. read more

I have long despaired over finding any doctor that gives me the time of day without having one foot out the door, leaving me gasping to get my questions answered. So when I potentially had a rheumatological issue, I was once again loath to try a new specialist--with all the requisite paperwork and seemingly inevitable dismissal of me as a person. I was blown away by Dr. Lindwall! She was kind, friendly, thorough, and extremely helpful. She even went off subject and chatted with me about non-medical stuff. Wow! I was so impressed that I asked if she could be my regular internist, but unfortunately (for me) she needs to focus on her field of specialty. I like others have to complain about Rosie the doctor's front office person. Rude, unprofessional and horrible to deal with. I called 3xs in one week trying to schedule an appointment. Continually placed on long holds. Out of desperation I held for 37 minutes before being disconnected. I called yesterday to ask Dr Lindwall to call me back. Was told by Rosie she wouldn't return my call and I had to speak to her regarding my medical issues. Unfortunately patients often deal with the staff more than the dr. If I recall correctly, when I last treated with Dr.Lindwall she was practicing at Dr.Cohen's office. I had monthly exams and on average I would wait 45 minutes to be called into the back office. I would then have a second wait usually 5 to 15 minutes to see the doctor. During office visits Dr.Lindwall was always very sweet and kind. She is a good doctor, knowledgeable and up to date on the current research. However, I had problems getting my medications refilled and prior authorizations approved. Several times this resulted in running out of medications. On one occasion it took over a week for a prior authorization. Another time when her medical assistant (who called herself a "nurse") was not taking care of my prior authorization, I went in for an exam and reported this problem to Dr.Lindwall. I informed her I was out of medication. She dismissed the problem but after I gave her the number of my insurance company she agreed to call. I informed her that once she called my medication would be immediately approved. It took at least 3 days for this approval. It does not appear that Dr.Lindwall called. The only time one my prior authorizations has taken more than 3 days is when I was treating with Dr.Lindwall. This problems continued. Then after a long wait for a refill I politely discussed this problem with the "nurse". A few days later Dr.Lindwall called accusing me of speaking disrespectfully to the office staff and threatened if if this behavior continued she would release me as a patient. I explained to what happened, and informed her I spoke appropriately to her "nurse". I am not sure if she believed me, but she did apologize for consistent problem I was having getting refills. But then, it took another 3 days my medication refill to be called in. I question why on more than one occasion Dr.Lindwall did not follow through on my medications being refilled. Not only was I insulted by her rudeness, I did not appreciate her jumping to conclusions and not asking me what had happened. Dr.Lindwall and this medical assistant need to learn what good customer service is. And after reading her reviews, I see I am not the only patient who has been reprimanded by this unprofessional, churlish, disrespectful doctor. I changed rheumatologist's and am now treating with Dr.Martin at the Westlake Village UCLA. Here I am always seen within 15 minutes and am treated with compassion and respect. read more

I called to schedule a new patient appt. and asked the clerk if the doc accepted my ins. I have a good plan, a PPO....the clerk told me she didn't know if the doctor accepted it and would have to speak with the doctor to find out. I found this absolutely weird. The clerk said she would call me back after speaking with the doc. Two days later, I still hadn't heard. I called the office and explained the conversation I'd had two days earlier and the person STILL couldn't answer my question. Said someone was still waiting to talk to the doctor. I communicated that I'd found the doctor on my provider list and that I didn't understand why it took two days to get an answer from the doc. The clerk said to me "look, I don't know what your SITUATION is.....".....and I said "what situation?", I called to schedule an appt. with the doctor, I've waited two days for a simple yes or no in regard to insurance acceptance. I feel very fortunate to have experienced the office staff prior to any visit with this doc and will NEVER step foot in this disrespectful and obviously unprofessional and disorganized office. read more

Dr. Lindwall diagnosed me with PsA in early 2018, I felt confident in her treatment trying several medications, my symptoms are still the same as when I was first diagnosed. In October 2019 I mentioned new symptoms and Dr. Lindall mentioned another condition because of inflammation due to PsA but dismissed the new symptoms without reason. At my most recent follow-up in November 2018 my MRI showed no progression of PsA, which was good news, and after 5 minutes into the appointment I mentioned my new symptoms again and Dr. Lindwall's demeanor changed, she told me to get a second opinion because she had other patients to attend and that I should be happy with the MRI results. The reason I am writing this review is because at many of my past appointments I have waited over an hour in the waiting room with no complaints because I knew Dr. Lindwall wanted to give the best care to her patients. I will not be returning to see Dr. Lindwall because I felt humiliated by her rude response regarding my new symptoms caused by PsA. The only positive advice from Dr. Lindwall was to get a second opinion, which I will be doing. read more
