All good. * I met with 3 different arborists before I chose. * All three were qualified and knew their stuff. * Jesus Devora passed the vibe check - t'was honest, kind, and direct, not salesy. * Devora gave me the clearest proposal. PRICE * Devora was several hundred dollars less than the others for the same scope of work. * The other companies were silly high on common services like stump grinding and trimming. Pft! * Devora did not nickel-and-dime me. Fair and reasonable. DAY OF TREE REMOVAL & TREE TRIM * The crew showed up right on time at 8a. * They walked me through the plan, answered my ?s, and made sure I felt good before they started. * They were respectful of my yard and both of my neighbors' yards and parking areas/alley access. WORK ETHIC * They worked hard - all. damn. day. * They removed a large, 80yo tree safely and smoothly, despite power lines in between branches, and even cut out/rescued a bees nest and brought to a bee keeper. * They cleaned up so well that my yard looked better than when they arrived. CARE & KNOWLEDGE * Before they left, they recapped the work done, and clean up areas covered {including my neighbors yard, my roof and my parking area!} * They gave me advice on how and when to replant in the area where the tree was removed. * They also gave tips on how to help my younger trees stay healthy and grow strong. The things were diseased, dead in fact. They needed to come down, and I knew it was going to cost me a pretty penny, so I did what I'm sure most of you do as well...I called over a dozen of the people here in Denver via Yelp who do this kind of work. It was important for me to get a decent price on the work. Not that I'd simply go with whomever came in the lowest, I did want to make sure they were reputable as well...well, of the dozen folks who came out, they were the only ones who actually talked with me, and I could tell immediately that they were people with integrity. That their bid was significantly lower than just about everyone elses didn't hurt too much either! The job ended up taking two days, and it turned out that one of the trees was much more complicated in how it had to come down, so much so that I was expecting them to ask for more money once the job was done, as the whole thing was originally scheduled for one day. But that wasn't the case at all. They totally honored their bid and didn't even mention the extra work the job entailed. That one of the owners is the guy who actually goes up into the tree to supervise most of the work shows just how dedicated of a team they are. & he really knows his stuff! They not only remove trees but will also work with you on planting and feeding new ones. A lot of my neighbors are already asking for their contact info, so know that these guys are pretty wonderful. And hey, they even left me a bunch of stumps that they cut to special sizes for me to use as outdoor furniture!

Showed up for second appointment on time. Pleasant, courteous, and knowledgeable. This was on a Friday; promised a bid by end of the weekend. I left a message on Tuesday morning saying I was ready to make a decision, and they would need to get me the promised quote that day if they wanted to be considered for the job. Front office called later that day, rattled through a litany of ridiculous excuses, and blew me off completely. No estimate, no responsibility, no respect. If they are so busy they can disregard sincere inquiries, then I wish them the best of luck. Based on this experience, however, I cannot recommend calling them. They failed to keep their agreement, and tried to make it appear it was my problem. Their front-of-house staff needs to be replaced if they are to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.

He recently removed a dying ash tree for me that was right next to my sunroom (lots of potential shattered glass) and leaning over my roof. Chris does maintenance cabling/trimming on a neighbor's huge bracket backyard cottonwood tree and removed two huge cottonwoods for my next door neighbor last year, so he was highly recommended. Pricing was also very manageable; of about 7 total quotes, Reinholt was among the less expensive group that was willing to remove the tree by climbing rather than with a crane. I delayed the job by about 6 months from the time I got the quotes and had some communication misses when I went to reinstate contact, but we cleared that up painlessly. Chris showed up with a crew of 4 guys. Within 90 minutes the tree was down and they'd cleaned up and moved on to the next job. Everyone was polite, mindful of the landscaping and they definitely left the area cleaner than they found it. They brought what looked like 3/4 or full inch-thick sheets of plywood to protect the windows and left no damage. As a female homeowner with no "man of the house" contractors can be challenging, but Chris is not one of those and I definitely recommend him.

We made it clear that the tree would not be accessible from our property due to structure layout and our own ongoing work, and the day of we received a call demanding we move our storage pod, construction material, and machinery from our own driveway to facilitate their access, and were threatened with fees otherwise. We refused their unreasonable request and they relented. They left the remains of the tree on the public roadway for several days. We later received a phonecall when we were out of town demanding same day payment, and strongarming us into paying by credit card over the phone as they absolutely could not wait until the end of the month, nor even for our return. Weeks later we received a bill from the crane operator stating that HH had not paid them despite listing crane operation fees in the original bid. They then sent us a *doctored* copy of the form with a low quality typed text box copied and pasted over their handwriting stating that crane fees were not included and would be billed separately. We will be keeping the original carbon copy for our records. Complete clown show. Avoid at all costs!
