The things were diseased, dead in fact. They needed to come down, and I knew it was going to cost me a pretty penny, so I did what I'm sure most of you do as well...I called over a dozen of the people here in Denver via Yelp who do this kind of work. It was important for me to get a decent price on the work. Not that I'd simply go with whomever came in the lowest, I did want to make sure they were reputable as well...well, of the dozen folks who came out, they were the only ones who actually talked with me, and I could tell immediately that they were people with integrity. That their bid was significantly lower than just about everyone elses didn't hurt too much either! The job ended up taking two days, and it turned out that one of the trees was much more complicated in how it had to come down, so much so that I was expecting them to ask for more money once the job was done, as the whole thing was originally scheduled for one day. But that wasn't the case at all. They totally honored their bid and didn't even mention the extra work the job entailed. That one of the owners is the guy who actually goes up into the tree to supervise most of the work shows just how dedicated of a team they are. & he really knows his stuff! They not only remove trees but will also work with you on planting and feeding new ones. A lot of my neighbors are already asking for their contact info, so know that these guys are pretty wonderful. And hey, they even left me a bunch of stumps that they cut to special sizes for me to use as outdoor furniture!

Showed up for second appointment on time. Pleasant, courteous, and knowledgeable. This was on a Friday; promised a bid by end of the weekend. I left a message on Tuesday morning saying I was ready to make a decision, and they would need to get me the promised quote that day if they wanted to be considered for the job. Front office called later that day, rattled through a litany of ridiculous excuses, and blew me off completely. No estimate, no responsibility, no respect. If they are so busy they can disregard sincere inquiries, then I wish them the best of luck. Based on this experience, however, I cannot recommend calling them. They failed to keep their agreement, and tried to make it appear it was my problem. Their front-of-house staff needs to be replaced if they are to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.

Wehad an old tree that needed some serious work. 3-D was quick to respond for a request for an estimate walked around the property with my husband to talk about exactly what needed to be done and then came through 100%. We were not able to be here at the time but a friend took pictures. I had no idea the amount of work that it was going to take to work on these trees not only did they do the trimming we required, but their cleanup was absolutely excellent. Should you have any kind of need for arbor work I would not hesitate to recommend using 3-D.

He was also very communicative about getting our project scheduled (BONUS: he was able to get us started sooner than originally planned). His crew is some of the nicest people too. My son was running a fever for the few days they were working on our yard and they asked about how he was doing each day (one gentleman even asked if he could pray over him which was so unexpected and nice). They are considerate of your space. At the end of each work day, they sweep up and consolidate their tools to one area so it doesn't feel like you're in a construction zone. The finished product is very polished and well done. When there were things I wanted adjusted or trimmed a little bit more, Josh was very agreeable and happy to oblige. And yes, I was that high maintenance client who had a request to add more flagstone AFTER they were done and they were so great to get a team out the next day to make that little addition. And how often does a project come in under budget?? Was nice to see that they are very precise in what they do. HIs team of landscapers were early, worked hard during sun and rain, and they took time to clean the sidewalks and streets every night before leaving. The estimate was well written and Joshua kept us up-to-date every day on the progress. We had old grass removed, and old cottonwood tree and roots removed, rocks cleaned and weed barrier replaced, bushes replaced, sprinklers replaced and metal edging added. The final product was better then we could have imagined. Denver Tree and Landscape is an outstanding business because of Joshua and his great team of employees. We made it clear that the tree would not be accessible from our property due to structure layout and our own ongoing work, and the day of we received a call demanding we move our storage pod, construction material, and machinery from our own driveway to facilitate their access, and were threatened with fees otherwise. We refused their unreasonable request and they relented. They left the remains of the tree on the public roadway for several days. We later received a phonecall when we were out of town demanding same day payment, and strongarming us into paying by credit card over the phone as they absolutely could not wait until the end of the month, nor even for our return. Weeks later we received a bill from the crane operator stating that HH had not paid them despite listing crane operation fees in the original bid. They then sent us a *doctored* copy of the form with a low quality typed text box copied and pasted over their handwriting stating that crane fees were not included and would be billed separately. We will be keeping the original carbon copy for our records. Complete clown show. Avoid at all costs!
