Before Brenda arrived we had three competitive bids; of these we've hired two companies for prior projects and were very satisfied with their work. We had not worked with Brenda but noticed she also had great reviews plus she is local. When Brenda gave us a competitive written bid on the spot we decided to go with her company. Brenda's team of Jamie and Clarence arrived two days later and we started by walking through the work order. These two were personable, polite and very knowledgeable in their profession. They pointed out several trimming issues relating to how the trees would look if they trimmed too much, so we went with their advice. We are so happy with the results! They took a lot of branches out while leaving the trees shaped perfectly! After Jamie and Clarence left for the day the three more guys showed up with the chipper and cleaned up everything. There were also lots of large tree branches in the yard, and one of the trees that hit the house partially buried (and crushed) my fiance's car. This all happened on a Friday night. Saturday morning, we started calling around to see about getting the tree off our kitchen and got in touch with Tim Morgan, an arborist who works with Timberline. He referred us to them and put in a call asking if they could help us out. Due to the extensive damage we had (and the fact that our yard/house looked, as Tim put it, "like an upside down jungle"), they were able to get a crew with a crane over in about an hour and a half, despite their very, very busy schedule (it was a bad storm, and we weren't the only people who needed their services). These people were AMAZING. They went straight to work and didn't stop moving/working until about four and a half hours later, at which point the "jungle" had been reduced to a large pile of mulch (which we asked them to leave so we could use it for landscaping - ordinarily they would have carted this away, so it's not their common practice to leave it) and some large tree trunks piled neatly in the street for removal by the city. All of the people working on the project were super-nice and friendly. We were incredibly grateful to them for their fast, professional service, and would recommend them to anyone who needs tree removal done fast and well.

When they finally showed up 3 hours later than they said, their employees were obviously hungover and extremely rude to me. The service was shoddy at best. The stumps they left were ugly and the service took hours longer than it should have. All in all I would NOT recommend this company in the future. Their employees are terrible and EXTREMELY rude.

While I wasn't watching, they removed major healthy large limbs and stripped the tree of its leaves saying, "That's how photosynthesis works." No, it works via the leaves, as we all learned in 6th grade. We were shocked. Neighbors stopped by as they, too, were shocked. Our beautiful, healthy 40 foot tree died soon after. We agreed I would not pay him for killing our tree. I later read trees like this can increase home values by $10,000. To this day, I remain sickened by what happened and wish I would have sued for damages. We wanted twigs/thin dead branches removed in our back yard trees, too. This is a row of trees. Instead he cut them so each tree extended the same length into our yard - something I was not at all interested in. I cannot tell from the other reviews but maybe they used them for tree removal only. They might be good for that.

The owner, TJ was responsive and got his partner Tom over to access the situation despite the short notice and rainy weather. We agreed on price and they came the next day. However, the hill had been planted the week before trying to stabilize the incline. I notified the team of the plantings. When done, they said they were careful and didn't damage anything. My gardener accessed the area the next day, and they had damaged three of the recent dogwood plantings. Only one could be saved. When I notified Tom at the company he said there was nothing he would do to make it right. Not even an apology. Overall, they were responsive given the urgency of the situation, and I am pleased with the team of men that cut the tree out. They worked together well, they were friendly and knowledgeable to get the job done. I guess a couple of plants are spoils of war.
