The owner, TJ was responsive and got his partner Tom over to access the situation despite the short notice and rainy weather. We agreed on price and they came the next day. However, the hill had been planted the week before trying to stabilize the incline. I notified the team of the plantings. When done, they said they were careful and didn't damage anything. My gardener accessed the area the next day, and they had damaged three of the recent dogwood plantings. Only one could be saved. When I notified Tom at the company he said there was nothing he would do to make it right. Not even an apology. Overall, they were responsive given the urgency of the situation, and I am pleased with the team of men that cut the tree out. They worked together well, they were friendly and knowledgeable to get the job done. I guess a couple of plants are spoils of war.

While I wasn't watching, they removed major healthy large limbs and stripped the tree of its leaves saying, "That's how photosynthesis works." No, it works via the leaves, as we all learned in 6th grade. We were shocked. Neighbors stopped by as they, too, were shocked. Our beautiful, healthy 40 foot tree died soon after. We agreed I would not pay him for killing our tree. I later read trees like this can increase home values by $10,000. To this day, I remain sickened by what happened and wish I would have sued for damages. We wanted twigs/thin dead branches removed in our back yard trees, too. This is a row of trees. Instead he cut them so each tree extended the same length into our yard - something I was not at all interested in. I cannot tell from the other reviews but maybe they used them for tree removal only. They might be good for that.

Wish I had taken some pictures!…read more I recently had a tall pine tree removed and some big branches trimmed from my maple tree, and Neighborhood Tree Care was by far the best price I found. I honestly don't think you can beat them. They showed up on time within the window they gave me, got right to work, and cleaned everything up so well it was like they and the tree were never there. The whole crew was friendly, efficient, and did an awesome job. I worked with Nick, and he kept me informed every step of the way. I also loved how quickly they were able to get me on the schedule. Their bid and two others were within $50.00 of each other, the fourth was about $700 dollars higher and for that one I had to fill out a online form of what I needed/wanted, I never seen nor talked to anyone from that company. Point is if you have to fill out three pages of info. And never even speak to a person, don't waste your time. I met with Joe for an estimate he showed up on time. He was very professional, knowledgeable and patient with my lack of knowledge of tree trimming. He told me if there was anything I seen I wanted removed while they were in the tree they would be more than happy to (provided it wasn't harm to the trees health). They showed up on Memorial Day on time as scheduled, very professional and all the proper gear. They removed several branches as promised per my request, they also cut up put to the side for me some bigger pieces I requested for my fire pit. They were also able to clear branches that were laying on ours and our neighbors power lines without dropping the lines. They started at 7:00 and finished by 10:30 cleaned up mine and the neighbors yards better than the were when they started, hauled away all the brush. I now have two beautiful trees! Over all they were very organized, professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Licensed and bonded. Thanks guys, a job well done! See you again in several years.

My father, who would help my aunt with a lot of household stuff passed away 5 years ago. So, my cousin reached out to me asking what to do. I found Family Tree Service searching Google. Called Travis and explained what we needed done. He got back to me quickly with a very reasonable estimate and took care of the problem within a few hours of the call same-day. My Cousin also had questions about some other tree issues in the yard. Travis made some recommendations as to how to proceed and offered to help if needed. My cousin said Travis could not have been more pleasant to work with. If my aunt needs tree/lawncare help in the future, Travis and Family Tree Service will definitely be my go to.

Very nice doing business with arborist Travis from Family Tree Services! Sent photos of what I…read moreneeded and he provided a quote range, which was on point when he got there to see in person. I was hoping to remove limb above neighbors side of fence to clear some space over their yard, as well as trim the tree away from the house. Once he got there Travis was kind enough to explain that cutting the limb away would likely hollow that bit out and that I'd probably get the desired result by simply trimming away the branches growing downwards along there. He also mentioned that he could do that and if I wanted more done could always do that after I saw it and decide from there. Very pleased with the results, both of clearing a nice patch away from neighbors side and of trimming back away from the house. Will be using him again!

He knows how to deliver a fair bid but that's all the good I can say about my experience with Tree King. Dan was almost impossible to get a hold of. Finally he answered and set up a bid appointment which was a no call / no show. I followed up with more phone calls and he did show up to the second appointment at which point he told me approximately when the work would begin. That time passed, again with no communication, despite my efforts to contact him a few days in advance. After sometimes 10 phone calls a day and multiple voicemails over the span of weeks, he answered and acknowledged that he missed starting the work when he said he would. That was the last I heard from him. This all took place over roughly three months. Doesn't matter how many times you call, text, or leave a voicemail, the guy's communication skills are non-existent. And tree trimming skills aren't worth much without them. His excuse was that he's an owner-operator and his work prevents him from using the phone. I also own and self-operate a small business and often can't answer the phone but I never let anyone go without a response for more than a couple of days at the most. Even people I don't want to talk to get called back. Don't waste your time.
