His quote was far lower than the other 6 quotes I received and better customer service. I had quotes that ranged from $4,000 - $12,000. Yep, you read that right! Matt and 4 crew members came out and cut down 6 large trees, tons of buckthorn, 3 dead lilac bushes and several other small things. Matt also pruned every tree on the property and it looks great! We wanted more sun and he accomplished that! Also, his team had to work in almost freezing rain and snow. The part I liked the best was the clean-up. Matt's team raked up every little stick and blew off any sign that he was even at the property. My backyard had some tire tracks from his machine, but we talked about that before the job was started. Prompt and professional, but project overbid at my expense…read more I had an uprooted tree from a storm and wanted it removed quickly. I didn't get any other bids so that's on me. The issue is that I was bid a price based off of their employees having to climb. I was told I'd receive a 20% discount if the lift could be used, as that'd reduce the labor costs. What ultimately happened was the lift was brought, but not even taken off the trailer as no one had to climb, they removed the tree from the ground. I asked for the 20% discount but was only offered 10%. By my logic, they could've parked the lift next to the tree and not even use it, and I would've received the full 20% discount. I'm all for efficiency but I feel in this case their efficiency was to my detriment. Having to pay more for what feels like less left a bad taste in my mouth.
