I had Minnesota Tree Experts remove an enormous ash tree out of my backyard in Minneapolis. This was the largest tree in the neighborhood - a big job to say the least. From the very start these guys were the best. Getting a quote was quick and easy - they came out to the house the same day I called. On the day of the removal - they showed up on time with a crane, a semi-truck, and loads of equipment and workers. It was all business - they knew what they were doing - it took under 3 hours to complete the job - lifting sections of this huge ash tree over the yard and into the street to cut up and haul away. Timmmmmmmmmber!!! A friend once told me my town has too many trees. I ignored him, but in hindsight perhaps he was right. MTE came to my rescue twice. The first was a ginormous River Birch that was within 6 inches of my house (sagging over time). Not a job for the DIYer. MET brought an army and the right equipment and made that beast a memory in about 5 hours. In addition, they pruned branches from 4 of my other trees. The arborist did in minutes what would have taken me days. My neighbor got some firewood out of the deal. The second was a problem Box Elder (multiple trunks near the rear property line corner) that decided to drop a trunk on my shed one day and one in my yard the next. MTE came to the rescue and removed that beast one and all in quick order. My neighbors can now sleep in peace. They also took out a tree in my front yard that had been quiet quitting for awhile. We Needed two very large trees removed due to age and safety and some additional trimming done. These guys did a great job. They clearly know how to work together to get a job done that meets satisfaction. Very precise with cutting and dropping large limbs. Clean up crew was on the spot, continually containing the clean up. Minimal turf damage even after a rainfall! Very impressive. Final clean up in our Culdesac was superb! We have used Minnesota TreeExperts a couple of times and have been extremely happy. But their service most recently has not been stellar. Did not follow up, scheduled an appointment to cut down two trees but forgot to inform us that we had been scheduled. Left a large log on top of a hill. (Way too large for me to move). Ground a stump down and left all the saw dust on the site. Grinding machine and haul away tractor tire up our lawn. Moved furniture, pots, etc and did not put them back. I called them and was told they would take care of it. I gave them almost 2 work days to call me. No call. Once again I had to call to find out that we are scheduled for tomorrow at 9am for the cleanup. And finally....they left our fences double gate wide open. We have 2 dogs who, luckily, did not escape. read more

As far as customer service on returning phone call and coming out for an estimate they were great. This is actually the reason I used them. When they showed up and started working there were multiple reasons I would never recommend them. They have zero respect for you, your property or each other. -they ruined 5 flower bushes -they put a gutter in my flower bed (instead of on the cement) and left it there -they moved items and never put back -they constantly berated and used racial slurs to a coworker who was the only one working on the tree -they dropped part of the tree on my roof and side of house -they dropped part of the tree on my neighbors garbage cans and lilac bushes -the 3 workers that did 98% of the work left to go to the next job and left the 2 who did nothing except run there mouth to clean up. On 8/9/21 Travis, the South crew manager for Minnesota Tree Experts approached our home and said his crew was in the area and wondered if we had any need for his company's services. As it turned out, we needed several tasks performed. I took him around the property and he offered a very fair price to remove a tree and grind the stump, trim several hedges, and trim several trees. He offered a very fair price and I accepted. His crew (Tuff and the other 4 members) worked quickly and efficiently and with awesome tools to complete the work and do an amazing clean up job. I would strongly recommend this crew to any homeowner who desires quality work done at a fair price, with the right tools, in an efficient manner, and with great cleanup following the job. I am extremely happy with the service provided by Minnesota Tree Experts. Eric and his crew were thorough, careful, and efficient. They finished taking down a large maple far faster than other tree services had estimated, as well as removing another, smaller tree, and trimming several others. They left my yard in the best shape I could have hoped for (felling a huge tree will leave some dings) and did a great job cleaning up. He was almost 2 hours late getting to our house for our initial estimate. He did give us a good price, so I was going to hire him for our job- when I finally got him on the phone, we settled on a date to get the work done..... and I never saw or heard from him!!. I would not recommend this company due to poor service. Made a couple calls to resolve the issue and they have refused to return any of our calls. Will need to call someone else to complete the trimming our trees properly. read more
